Ora, il problema è che come al solito ha fatto arrabbiare qualcuno e questo qualcuno si vendica rintracciando il suo ex marito che prontamente si presenta al matrimonio alla ricerca di soldi. Al peggio però non c’è fine perché il giorno dopo, Agatha viene accusata dell’omicidio dell’ex marito. 👍🏻 Povera Agatha. Ok non è una santa e ha la lingua avvelenata ma non è cattiva, anzi, spesso aiuta gli altri. Non si merita tutte le brutte cose che le capitano. 👍🏻 Gli interrogatori si susseguono così come gli omicidi. J’aurais aimé davantage de rythme et de suspense. Les dialogues sont amusants grâce au tempérament bien trempé de la quinquagénaire. Une lecture que je recommande aux amateurs de genre. Et vous? Listen, I lurrrve the #AgathaRaisin series. I've been listening to the audiobooks since Nov & I'm almost through the whole series. They're fun cozy mysteries. The @acorn_tv characters are even more compelling than the book versions. But so help me, the way witchcraft is portrayed 🙄🙄🙄 Books written in the 2010s portraying witches as pathetic, kooky, nude-loving devil-worshippers...there is just no excuse for that kind of ignorance. The 2021 TV portrayal is, thankfully, a lot more thoughtful. The vicar's wife-turned-curate, Mrs Bloxby, is an expert on witchcraft & paganism b/c she did her divinity thesis on the subject. So there was less of the oogey-boogey evil-doer stereotyping and more veracity to the reality of contemporary witchcraft. But how on Earth a popular fiction writer and her publisher could get away with portraying witchcraft as devil-worship in a novel published in 2017 🤯🤯🤯 Mind-blowing. If you're this far into my rant and you aren't aware of why that is so wrong here's a breakdown. The Devil is not affiliated with witchcraft in any way. The Devil is a Christian figure. He represents a foil to Christ for Christians, but in witchcraft—there is no such thing as the Devil, because there is no Christ. Of course, there are Christian witches, but that still has no bearing on the "witch" side of things when it comes to a belief in, much less a worship of, the Devil. Now, of course, there are witches who honor an array of gods and goddesses, and one such god is Pan. Pan has similar physical features as the portrayal of the Devil. But they are different figures. In Christianity the Devil represents a temptation to evil and immorality/amorality. Pan, or his other iterations, represents something a lot more natural. To everything there is a season...dark & light. Sun & rain. Summer & winter. Happiness & sadness. Sun & moon. It's important to honor and explore the ups and the downs, b/c that is what makes us whole. Ignoring the downs harms us. And so, to my mind, and to many others, that's what a figure such as Pan represents. He represents the anti-dote to Toxic Positivity, and we need that these days, especially in the face of actual evil. Basta chiedere. 👉🏻 #agatharaisinelasorgentedellamorte Vol. 7 di #agatharaisin Il fatto all'ordine del giorno nel villaggio di Carsely è un'antica fontana da cui sgorga acqua attraverso la bocca di un teschio. Il punto è che l'azienda dell'acqua di Ancombe vorrebbe mettere quell'acqua in bottiglia e venderla, approfittando della fama di acqua miracolosa. Ad Agatha tutto ciò non interessa, ultimamente è piuttosto annoiata, quasi quasi spera in un nuovo omicidio per passarsi un po' il tempo. Una sera, Agatha decide di andare a piedi alla fontana per prendere l'acqua per il tè (quella del rubinetto non va bene). Quando arriva, nella fontana trova un uomo morto, era il presidente del consiglio comunale di Ancombe, il suo era il voto decisivo per permettere o meno all'azienda di prendere l'acqua. Agatha, dopotutto è stata accontentata. "È incredibile in quanti corpi si sia imbattuta la signora Raisin" 👍🏻 Agatha mi fa così tanta tenerezza, fa la dura ma il suo cuore si spezza facilmente, in particolare, a martoriarlo è il suo bel vicino. Agatha è imbattile in quanto auto-sabotarsi in amore. 👍🏻 Le indagini sono doppie ... o per meglio dire, triple. Agatha, James e la polizia indagheranno ognuno per conto suo, poi alla fine uniranno le varie informazioni. Chi arriverà per primo alla soluzione del caso? 👍🏻 Anche questa volta Agatha correrà non pochi rischi e infastidirà non poche persone.
