Thoughts on gender locked magic. Specifically the concepts of Witches. Discussion of gender essentialism and transphobia.

Ok this is a pretty common thing to run into in fiction. The idea that “Only women can become witches.”

But I have always wondered, but Why though? What is the reason only women get access to magic? What about their soul makes that a thing and why is that gender locked to woman as a gender specifically?

These fictional worlds with such a magic system always come with gender essentialism to me. They were not structured to include trans people. More likely because we weren’t a thought to the author.

Would a trans girl suddenly be able to do magic when she realizes? Would she always have had magic? Likewise, would a trans boy suddenly lose the ability to do magic? Did he never have any? People’s individual transitions are so unique, how would that effect their access to magic and how would that not be exclusionary? What about nonbinary people? What are genderfluid people who are women sometimes going to do? It all gets very complicated the moment you consider trans people and anyone whose gender is not binary.

It just strikes me as gender essentialism to say that only one gender has access to magic. I can never understand what in particular makes a character “worthy” of magic because of their gender, If we are going to look at gender with less binary expectations, then gender locking magic kinda goes against that goal.

Why has this cosmic magic or being that gives magic chosen “being a woman” as their qualifications?

If it’s about the oppression of misogyny, there are trans men and nonbinary people who experience that as well with no choice in the matter of how other people misgender us.

If it’s about a specific kind of physical body or genital, then there is no way to make that not exclusionary. If it’s about the trauma that young girls go through (Example: Madoka magica’s answer to this, where that trauma creates Energy to stop the heat death of the universe.) then that *still* becomes trans exclusionary, because there are people whose childhoods may have looked like that of young girls to society but were not, and were still traumatic in extremely similar, or the same ways. (right now i’m talking specifically about trans men and women who came out after adulthood and didn’t 100% know they were trans as kids. Madoka’s system also has no room for nonbinary people. )

The gender essentialist concept of "women are Closer to Nature and More Primal and have Secret Knowledge" also plays into this, and on top of that being something I don’t believe. I don’t think it’s smart to treat any gender as somehow secretly better than another.

Talking a bit more personally here, I did struggle to come out, and one reason because of people, who called themselves progressive feminists(in actuality this was a mindset from radfems), who treated the possibility of me being a boy as some kind of threat or loss. I’m definitely feminist, I want to make that clear. But I don’t stand for any kind of system that treats one gender as better or treats you as some kind of traitor because you didn’t turn out to be a woman.

I think that is the heart of the issue of why gender locked magic hits a sore spot.

The frustration that the experiences I have had, being treated like facets of womanhood. I know I and people like me don’t fit in magic systems like these, that there just isn’t a place there. So that part is alienating all on it’s own. I don’t have fond feelings for this trope. On top of all this, Trans men just aren’t considered in most media. There’s a sense of invisibility to finding representation. That isn’t just what I’ve noticed. Glaad has some stats laid out.

I feel like i’d be more interested in a world with this kind of magic if the point was about breaking and challenging this exclusionary magic system. Or perhaps, centering a transmasc perspective about losing magic because the system is exclusionary and how truly fucked up of an experience that must be in a society that places your value in magic.

Even in the few cases where a magic system is trans affirming to trans woman, trans men don’t seem to exist in the creator’s eyes. I am not going to name where this came from, but it did frustrate me that in a specific world that called itself queer friendly, cis and trans women and nonbinary people could become witches, but trans men got basically nothing. Didn’t seem to exist. A huge flaw in a world I really wanted to like and now just can not engage in without being reminded that people like me don’t belong. I get enough of that in real life.

My personal feeling is “fuck exclusionary magic!” like anyone in these fictional worlds should have the ability to become a witch. It shouldn’t be locked to a nebulous gendered expectation. (It shouldn’t just extend to magic too. Gender locked hair styles and clothing and pitches of voices in games also fall into gender essentialism. “You can’t be X if you look like Y.” Is exclusionary and transphobic, just on it’s own.)

He’s not an experienced ler, so his tickles are rather random and can lean to the aggressive side (but its ok cuz when ppl tell him to stop he will C:)

Gege Prefers Deception, and So Does Sukuna

Before, I predicted Sukuna and Maki's dynamic revealed in 253; I also argued that Sukuna would get serious versus Maki. Now, I want to examine what a serious fight for Sukuna looks like.

TLDR: When holding back, Sukuna plays with his food and allows his opponents handicaps. When serious, Sukuna plays dirty, hides his hand, and uses tricks to deceive his opponent to create more advantages for himself. Both Gojo and Maki are the only ones to push Sukuna to use underhanded tactics to best them.

Introduction

Holding back for Sukuna means being less creative and resourceful for the most part. In 253 and 252, Sukuna went back to using underhanded tactics to win a fight. Here's a rundown of how Sukuna fought the rest of the cast:

He faced Kashimo's blast and gave him a warning before using the world dismantle:

Sukuna stood out in the open when everyone gathered to jump him. Choso was the first victim to get speed bltized.

After isolating Higuruma, Sukuna was impressed by his domain amplification and reverted to using world dismantle. He then demanded that Higuruma heal himself to keep fighting while standing out in the open.

Against Yuta, Sukuna stood with an open stance before both him and Rika. I acknowledge that for most of their fight, Sukuna was trapped in Yuta's domain and had few to zero methods of deception available while in the barrier. Here, I focus on Sukuna's demeanor at the beginning because it was equal footing before Yuta's domain expansion.

In all of these fights, Sukuna exposed himself directly to his targets while taunting them. Against Kashimo, Higuruma, Yuji, and Yuta, he was mostly open and obvious with his attacks. He didn't try to hide anything and would even give warnings as a taunt (Kashimo and Higuruma).

A Sneaky Devil

Against Gojo and Maki, Sukuna hides his hands to catch them both off guard.

Sukuna fakes out Gojo by pretending to aim at him, but instead targets the building and attempts to sneak Gojo while he's distracted.

Sukuna used the fire hydrant to create a cover for Mahoraga and himself while he used his pseudo-piercing blood.

Of course, Sukuna also prepared a three vs. one against Gojo, increasing his chances even more against him. Mahoraga and Agito allowed Sukuna to hide in the shadows while Maho prepared an attack that could counter limitless.

After Maki dodged his first dismantle and overpowered him, Sukuna immediately switched back to underhanded tactics. He used the wall to create a cover for himself to fire a world dismantle at Maki, whose vision and hearing was obscured by his distraction. Given the narrator's words that Sukuna had been looking forward to Maki the most after Gojo's defeat, his sudden switch up in attitude makes sense. When Maki showed herself, Sukuna reverted back to the same tactics he used on Gojo, which juxtapose his attitude towards the others. Sukuna switched from an open and exposed demeaner to suddenly obscuring himself behind debris; this is so sudden that Sukuna's purposeful concealment of his technique was one of the main things people talked about after 252 was released. I do not think most people understood the context that I am shaping, but the idea of Sukuna hiding his own hand was jarring nonetheless.

To speak on the narrative, Gege had been writing Sukuna as a cocky fighter for weeks, and in 252 that changed. I do not think many understand that Sukuna reverted back to tactics he used against Gojo, and instead have mostly ignored his change in tactics. My argument and my evidence correlate to Uraume's warning in 252.

Sukuna used more underhanded fighting tactics against only Gojo and Maki; thus I argue that a serious Sukuna is one who does not play fair. An opponent that pushes Sukuna forces him to rely on deception and trickery in order to gain an upper hand against them in an otherwise difficult matchup. Sukuna, at his most serious, is a cheater.

"I won't cheat by revealing my cursed technique."

When Sukuna's taunting his opponent by leaving himself open to their attacks, he's playing with his food. When Sukuna has to get serious, he's an unapologetic cheater.

A General Retrospection

Gojo also used deceptive tactics in the fight against Sukuna. Deception seems to be the main aspect of Gege's fighting choreography. The Jumpjutsu Kaisen meme has merit: characters often group against lone enemies; they often use sneak attacks when possible; and fights can end by outsmarting the enemy, not necessarily overpowering them. While calculating Mahoraga's adaption, in a race against time, Gojo also used the pillar the same way Sukuna used the car against Maki. He set a trap, hid, and attempted to take Sukuna off guard.

Sukuna used the cars nearby to hide and shoot a dismantle at Maki, but she still dodged it. Even then, the car exploded and knocked Maki away and Sukuna used that momentum to catch her in a cleave.

Both Gojo and Sukuna relied on strategy and their power to win; for most competent fighters in jjk, both of these qualities make or break a fight. Though Sukuna's understood to be a patient and strategic person (how he played both Yuji and Megumi), he stopped being himself and became arrogant in front of everyone else.

I've argued about Sukuna reverting to unfair tactics to win against Gojo and Maki, but what did she do? Just like any other competent fighter, Maki also used deception against Sukuna. For one, Maki began her fight with a sneak attack directly to Sukuna's heart. After Sukuna cleaved her, she reappeared while he was distracted and rushed him. While he was unable to defend himself midair, Maki quickly used a pillar against him to send a shockwave that launched him across the room.

Perhaps it was because his cleave apparently did little to no damage against her, but this attack was the final straw for Sukuna. After this, he finally admitted his motivations for fighting Maki.

Uraume's comments may hint at why Sukuna's speed suddenly ramped up against Maki after he entered a state of ecstasy. Maki survived his attacks without much of a scratch all the way up until his final speed spike that chapter. Something that will hopefully be revealed soon may provide an understanding for his apparent escalation in speed throughout their fight. At the beginning of the chapter, Maki dodged a dismantle directly to the face. Just after the car exploded, Sukuna was already inside the building and coming around the corner from Maki. When he was caught off guard, she was able attack him from two different angles within an instant. The face grab was yet another spike in Sukuna's speed.

Sukuna suddenly dropped the sneaky attacks and went straight for Maki's face and a direct punch. It's like he suddenly lost his patience for a strategic battle and went berserk. He hasn't ever done that until now. Even against Mahoraga and Jogo, when he was his most wild and unserious, it was an aura of fun. Against Maki, it was like madness.

It's safe to say a serious Sukuna is a dirty fighter more than anything else. I wonder how black box plays into this interesting trait. Sukuna's escalation of his own speed, and forgoing healing, hint that he may be close to revealing his real technique soon. Last time I tried to predict this, he hit a black flash. I knew something big was coming, it just wasn't the right big one. I don't wanna be wrong about which chapter it will happen, but I think it will be soon.

Notes:

I like that Gege writes JJK's characters to rely on strategy more than overpowering the enemy. It can make some fights messy, but I think it works great for the most part.

Who would make Sukuna use his full CT? Maki.

Since Maki's arc began, Gege always begins her big fights with two prerequisites: she starts off with confidence against her opponent, but then they overwhelm her. At the end of the chapter, she's seemingly killed off. She always gets back up and fights even harder than before after an awakening of some sort.

Cosmo Imai

Quite a bit actually, he's young so he's always pretty ready to have some good sex, and if you're older than him then he'll be even more excited. He's usually ready to try new things so the mention of a new position, toy, clothing, etc is enough to get him in the mood.

Jun Sekibayashi

He's got a normal amount, he's an older man so his libido is pretty slow and it's random when he can go three rounds. He'd either do one round or he'd do three.

Kaolan Wongsawat

He's got a reasonable amount, but he's so disciplined that it's almost like it's low but he can go a decent amount of rounds. He's usually busy with the prince so even if he wasn't disciplined it would still be almost non existent.

Konah Agito

His libido is practically non-existent, he knows what sex is, he knows the importance of it but he doesn't understand the concept of just having sex just to have it. He'll have sex when he deems it fit to do so. You're more angsty than usual, you're just about to either start or end your period, or he needs to express his dominance.

Kiryu Setsuna

It's extremely high, it's off the charts when Ohma is involved in some form of way. It doesn't take much for him to get a raging boner just from the thought of Ohma, so he'll keep you pretty busy.

Ohma Tokita

It's pretty low actually. He doesn't care to lay around and have sex, too busy trying to get stronger, better, and faster to lay around and have sex, but when he does he can go a round or two.

Raian Kure

It's off the chart, mainly when he's got no jobs, nothing to train for, and no Ohma to mess with, then he'll be constantly prodding you to have sex, and it can be anywhere. He's even worse if you've yet to get pregnant

Rei Mikazuchi

It's pretty high, he's a heartless romantic and he's always determined to express his love for you in any way possible, and if that means through constant sex because it speaks more than his mouth ever could then so be it.

Saw Paing Yoroizuka

It's surprisingly pretty tamed, it's not crazy high or low, he has sex with you when the moment is right, one of you is horny, or he's got an adrenaline rush, other than that he's too busy protecting the Village, bugging Kaolan for a match or he's training.

Seishu Akoya

His is strange, he either has a very high libido, or he just ain't got one. It depends on what's going on honestly. If he feels the need to express himself through sex then he will, if he's having an adrenaline rush then he will, if he's trying to distract himself from his killer impulse then he will. It's never constant though simply because he's always off fighting for 'Justice'.

Sen Hatsumi

It's pretty high, he loves sex since it speaks in so many different languages. It can be used to express anger, love, hate, frustration, comfort, it can be whatever you both want it just depends on the mood, and he's usually in a pretty laid-back mood, so his sex is always either lazy, comforting, or full of love.

Wakatsuki Takeshi

He barely even has one, his libido is so low, simply because he's mastered the art of ignoring his sexual urges. He's the master of meditation, he wants to always be in control of his strength, and having sex is the easiest way for him to lose that control so it's extremely rare when he can let loose and just have sex.

• While Renatus fits into the category of a delinquent brute with how lackadaisical and extreme he can be in terms of delivering punishment. He’s actually quite amicable like Ryoh and Kaldo. He’s just incredibly tired 24/7 due to his role and hasn’t gotten proper sleep in years(except for holidays, which he yearns for every day).

• Has developed the ability to sleep standing upright.

• His favorite food is fast food because it’s the only thing that’s usually available super late at night to eat. My man can NOT cook.

• Conversely his favorite drink is cheap beer because, once again, of how easily accessible it is during late hours.

• He enjoys reading ghost stories because it helps keep him up at night.

• Compared to the others who at least have decent homes or lavish spaces, Renatus lives in a cheap apartment. He still has things in boxes because he’s never had time to go home and truly unpack anything. The first thing one sees when entering his place is a single mattress on the floor, stacks of magazines and books, dirty containers of fast food and empty bottles. Truly a Male Living Space™️.

• Is actually quite the academic, although his memory isn’t what it used to be.

• And speaking of his memory issues. While I am inclined to believe that sleep may be a factor in it, I am also inclined to believe his immortality also plays a role in it.

• While he can regenerate at incredible speeds, it’s not entirely perfect. A crick in the neck? Simple, he just breaks his neck so the bones can set properly again. Back problems? Just break his back, no biggie. After his fight with Doom, his regeneration couldn’t keep up and he lost consciousness. And the healing process was not completely perfect when he came to(huge time shenanigans and mega manga spoilers aside). To summarize, he ended up with brain damage.

• People often think he’s forgetful because he’s just tired or lazy and doesn’t care enough to remember properly. While that’s *partially* true, it’s also because he has yet to really fully grasp how bad it really is. And he’s certainly not being careful with himself either. He’s always had memory issues but his lack of self preservation only exacerbated the problem.

• While he recalls that he gave up his mortality in order to save a girl he loved, he can’t recall if he did in fact save her. Nor even remember her name, or what she looked liked. He doesn’t think on it much in recent times, save for this weird funny feeling he gets in his chest whenever he traces his only scar.

• Renatus’ coworkers have yet to notice how bad his memory has gotten, Agito however has been assisting him in little ways. Such as leaving behind notes and helping him grab lunch and remind him of important events or work related things. He hasn’t noticed the changes fully.

• In terms of closeness with the other Divine Visionaries. He is closest with Agito, amicable with Tsurara, Ryoh and Rayne. Neutral with Orter. And on negative terms with Kaldo and Sophina. He enjoys teasing Sophina the most due to her strict school president like attitude.

• Does not remember Nerey. At all. Repeatedly even after Nerey has introduced himself several times. It’s unclear on whether or not he’s doing this as a bit or because Nerey’s genuinely not interesting enough to be remembered by Renatus.

Being in a relationship with Kano Agito...

Before Katahara found Agito in China, he went on a travel close to the ‘Inside’, but unbeknownst to him, he got his wallet stolen. The thief nonchalantly walking by, hiding the hostile intention so perfectly well that not even his bodyguards could sense it.

That is, until the hooded man got hit with a pebble from some random direction, only to get his cut throat. Katahara could only look and laugh at the display of a little girl assassinating a grown man and stealing his wallet - But then she came over to him and handed it to him.

“People from the Inside shouldn’t harm outsiders.” your words were broken and you stammered speaking - Katahara looked down and realised the bloody wallet was his own, and he laughed even harder. Instead of taking back his wallet, he reached his hand out to pat your head. “Don’t hurt me, please. I did you a favour.” you flinched, thinking you would get hit.

But instead, you got adopted by the old man and was treated like his own daughter - Best food, best education, best clothes and jewellery - Literally everything that you could or couldn’t dream of, you had, even if you didn’t ask for anything.

Seeing as you were such a rational and collected person, and around the age of most of his the bodyguards with potential to become the next Fang, and you were to supervise them and make sure they don’t start pointless fights. It was also the old man’s hope that you may find interest in fighting and learn how to at least defend yourself - You had potential, he had seen that from the very beginning, but you were so afraid of being put in situations like back then, that you’d run away in fear.

That is, until the Chairman brought a new potential Fang candidate, which he also treated as if he was his own son, and took care of him. You could see he was different from all the other fighters so you paid close attention to him and his style.

You were also the one to help him learn Japanese, as he only knew his own language, Chinese, so it was pretty difficult to communicate with him at first... Though, even if he did know the language, You sympathised with his situation, having been told of his unfortunate situation and tried to get close to him - But he was as cold as an iceberg.

One day, when the fighters were training outside, you were reading a book and absently walking around, a silent figure of authority, though some found it ridiculous, having some little girl, dressed in a cute dress and a bow in her hair, reading - How could she possibly do anything to stop a fight?

“Yo, babe, nice legs!” one of the fighters said, but got ignored. “Are you deaf, babe? Or are you intentionally ignoring me?” as long as he continued his training, he could say anything he wanted. “LOOK AT ME, STUPID WOMAN!” that guy stopped his training, and created a commotion around the fighters - He must be new, Takayama thought, watching you nonchalantly walk up to the guy, and before he could stand up from his kneeling position, you hit him with the book over the head, so hard that he thought either the book, or his head, had broken. “You’re training for the potential title of the Fourth Fang of Metsudo. With your behaviour, you are putting not only the title, but the Master’s name to shame. Next time, you’re out.” your voice didn’t sound threatening at all, but rather, soft and empty. He was tall, and well built - He could kill you by just blinking. He stood up, towering over you, but for some unknown reason, you didn’t flinch. The rebel got in a grappling stance, attempting to grab you, only to have both forearms chopped down simultaneously, and he let out a roar of pain. “You’re never going to become Fang if you can’t even resist something so measly.” you scoffed. Agito stared at the two with wide eyes - He couldn’t comprehend how a small and frail thing like you could make a huge brute kneel and scream in agony. All the people of your stature were the first to get killed in the Gu ritual. “YOU FUCKING--” the idiot jumped up and tried to leap at you, but Takayama tackled him to the ground and gave him a beating sister with death. “Thank you, ‘Noru. You’re as sweet as always.” you smiled tenderly at him, patting his fluffy hair. “Kill him.” your voice had turned dark as you commanded - And the man complied.

Order was restored and everything went back to normal - All the fighters were training as ordinary - All except for Kano, who was confused. Noticing, you went to and crouched to his side, her hand of his shoulder. You tried asking if he was alright, if something was the matter - But he merely stared at you with the same blank expression as always. He had to regain himself and go back to training, he thought to himself. He has to repay his debt to the Master. He had to get strong and prove he was worth saving.

A week after the altercation, Katahara had both you and Agito in his room - And they were shocked to see him cradling a little baby doll in a light pink blanket. But it dawned on them - It wasn’t a baby doll, but an actual baby. The old man called you over first, and carefully placed the child in your arms. You froze like a deer in the headlights, and started trembling softly. What if you dropped the baby? What if you hurt it by mistake? What if you make it cry? A thousand questions went through your head, only to feel a light tug on your hair, and a giggly coo from the little thing. Katahara chuckled, informing you that his daughter had taken a liking to tiy - And that, from then on, you and Agito were to be her caretakers.

You almost fainted on the spot, whilst Agito tensed. Was he truly the right person to be kept around an infant? Probably not - But he was going to do everything in his power to keep little Sayaka safe.

From them on, you weren’t seen without the little baby, almost as if she was your own child - Though, if someone asked, you’d say you’d never actually want any children for yourself. They’re gross. They all are - Except for Sayaka. Katahara Sayaka is a princess. Thanks to you taking care of the baby day in and day out, Agito had to automatically spend time with the two of you - Though he remained at a distance, and simply watched the two of you interact. He couldn’t understand how anyone can use minimal power to touch such a frail, little thing? He was sure if he were to touch Sayaka, she’d break. He didn’t want to risk.

That is, until you smiled up at him, calling him to sit down by the tree, next to you - And you guided his arms in such a way, that you were able to place the blanketed bundle in his embrace. Kano’s eyes shot up in alarm - For the first time, he was cold with fear - But Sayaka was giggling. He looked down at her, and the way her little limbs would wiggle in the air, as if trying to touch him - And he smiled. Well, it was more of a weirdly animalistic grin, which ended up scaring the infant and sending her in fits of loud sobs. His panic only made you burst into fits of laughter, confusing him even more - But he got a pat on his hair, and even encouragement.

“You did good, Agito. It’s alright, kids are weird, it’s not your fault.” as soon as you went back to holding the little one, she stopped crying. Agito felt defeated, but at the same time, he wanted to learn how to take care of the little girl. He wanted to make Katahara proud. Until the Sun set, he listened and watched you care for the infant - He wondered, how did you know how to do that, anyway? Was it instinctual, or just that you knew how to be so tender? You were barely 16 anyway, it’s not like anyone expects them to be parents... Right?

“I’ll go put Sayaka to sleep, okay? You’re free for the night.” at night, other people protected the little girl, as the two of you had to be up and ready in the morning to do their jobs. He nodded his head and went to eat dinner and workout before going to sleep. Until around midnight, you watched over the little girl as she slept so peacefully - But your own eyes were beginning to sting, and you were getting drowsy herself. You got up, ready to turn in for the night, only for the window glass to shatter loudly, startling you. What the hell was that, and how could anyone destroy the window from such a high floor?

Quickly, you grabbed Sayaka from the crib and went for the door. The little baby was wailing loudly as you fell to her knees in the corridor, yelping in pain, as you felt your shoulder getting shot. Not exactly an unfamiliar feeling, but not one that you enjoyed either. Looking back inside the room, you saw the grappling hook on the window pane, and the assailant in door frame, threatening you with a pistol. Slowly, you placed the baby on the ground, and before he could attempt to shoot you, you slapped the gun from his hand, sliding across the corridor floor, and you mounted him, delivering punches at his face. 

But you were still to light compared to him, and you were easily overpowered and sent flying on your back with the hazy force of a headbutt. You felt yourself getting strangled. You tried to claw at him or even attempt to land a hit, but he easily overpowered you. If it weren’t for Agito to trample over the culprit and beat him to a pulp, you might not have survived this. To hell with all your fears from your life spent in the Inside - You have to start training properly and defend yourself and Sayaka against fuckers like this guy. Thank goodness your rooms were next to each other. “Wait, don’t kill him. We need to interrogate him.” you warned, seeing how violent Agito had begun - But he didn’t listen. “AGITO, STOP!” still, nothing. “STOP!!!” you threw your arms around his punching forearm and used all your strength to stall him. Finally, he stopped. He looked down at the comatose criminal, then at your panting body clinging onto him. When you finally felt his muscles relaxing, you let go of him and hurried to pick up the baby from the ground before returning to the boy. “Calm down. Easy. Breathe.” you put a hand on his face, watching as he was visibly relaxing under your touch.

All at once, a bunch of bodyguards came by, including the Chairman - And though he wasn’t happy that someone attempted to hurt his precious daughter, he was glad that his two foster children were there to save here. Clearly, he must amp up the security around the little girl... And find the mole. How did people from outside find out that Katahara has an infant child, ready to be used as bait? Well, hopefully, the criminal was going to provide some satisfactory answers... Sooner or later.

That night, when the commotion went quiet, you tried to sleep, but the silence was ringing into your ears, and your throat was still burning. Your twitched at every tweak of the hardwood on the ground. You’ve had enough. You gathered all your strength and tip-toed to Agito’s room and got inside. He seemed to be sleeping. “Agito.” you called out softly. “Agito.” you went to crouch by the side of the bed on which he was sleeping. He jolted awake, ready to strike the enemy - Only to realise it was you, just before the hit landed.  “Y/N? What are you doing here?” the boy frowned, watching you get up. “Can I sleep here?” your question made his eyes widen in bewilderment. “S-Sorry, it’s okay, I don’t want to bother you. It’s just... I’m a bit afraid to sleep alone. I was barely able to calm my fears after Master rescued me from the Inside... With what happened today, I don’t feel safe anymore.” Agito hasn’t been here for as long as you have, so his instincts are still up, whilst yours laxed. He let out a grunt of approval, and laid back down on his side, to sleep. “Thank you.” he could feel you getting in bed next to him - And then, your arms wrapped around his body, holding him tightly... By your standards. “Sweet dreams, Agito.”

Whilst you fell asleep almost immediately, your forehead glued to the space between his shoulder blades, Agito could barely catch a wink of sleep - His heart was beating fast. This sensation was so weird. He wasn’t afraid, so why did he feel so tense? And why did his hand act by itself and placed itself over your small one? It almost looked half the size of his own. And, most of all - Why did he like this so much?

Many years passed since then, and Agito never let you sleep in your own room again - Instead, he was content sleeping with your small arms wrapped around him... That is, until you couldn’t do that anymore, because he grew so much in size and width, while you remained as cute and little and when you first met, at 16.

You became just about the only thing that kept Agito grounded.

Though he doesn’t speak much, you’re the exception - And boy, do you love his voice.

He’s also your go-to person to go shopping person because he can carry a shit ton of bags, he’s patient... And he lasts more than you.

The only problem, if you can call it that, is that you can’t necessarily rely on him to give you an opinion on outfits, because he will say you’re beautiful either way.

He just loves you so much, he has nothing bad to say about you.

Agito enjoys working out with you, not because he gets to admire you half-naked, sweaty and in your pretty work out clothes, but because he likes spending time with you.

Even being in the same room with you, without the need of engaging in conversations, is more than enough to make him happy.

You’re the person who sees his genuine smiles - And maybe Sayaka when she’s a little kid.

Speaking of Sayaka... She makes you wear cutesy clothes, frilly, bows, glitter, pink and all that - And for the first time since you’ve known him... Agito makes fun of you.

You want to strangle him - But settle to putting a bonnet on his head. 

Sayaka ends up thinking he’s so cute that he forces him to wear custom ordered cute clothes and join your tea parties.

Might even insist you do face paints and nail paints.

Agito would end up embarrassingly pleading to the Chairman to save him, only for the evil old man to join in the madness.

Agito doesn’t have many hobbies except for working out, mostly because he’s busy protecting the Chairman - But that’s just a silly excuse and you end up making fun of him for being boring.

You end up becoming inseparable besties with both Takayama and Omori over the years, and the three of you go out often - Be it to get drinks, to watch a movie, maybe go fishing or just go get some good food.

Despite being best friends though, Minoru will forever be bitter and jealous for being forever ‘second best’, as he gets his face ripped by Kano, while he and Omori end up becoming the Fourth and Fifth Fang of Metsudo and win match after match in the name of the Master.

Unintentionally throws bitter comments of you that start with “Tell that boyfriend of yours (not) to...” which gets a bit tiring.

But he makes up to you by taking you on a motorbike drive, so you quickly forgive him because you love that Harley more than any of your cars.

After seeing you laughing so cheerfully as you got off the bike, an euphoria-like glow around you as you chatted with Takayama, Agito became intrigued about that bike. He wanted to understand why you liked it so much. A bike wasn’t as convenient as a car, as in, less people to drive around and less luggage to carry.

Too bad he doesn’t have the time for that.

Hearing you speak so excitedly about it though made it a clear future goal for him - Someday, when he’s older and his debt to the Master is paid.

The older he grew, the more he wanted to understand whatever new pop culture thing you were talking about  - You mentioned movies, tv shows, games - And though often you would stream and play with him in the room, he just couldn’t focus, and would end up lifting weights or... Sleeping.

Takayama would often ask you how the hell can you stay in a relationship with that guy - Or better, if he even knows what a relationship is - But you’d simply smile and dismiss his worries.

Though, yes, it was weird talking about most of your hobbies to someone that was akin to a blank canvas... Agito would remember literally every single detail, word by word, everything that you tell him, but he wouldn’t be able to reciprocate with his own insight, as he never actually got proactive enough to try all these things out.

But while he doesn’t know pop culture things, he surprises you with different things - When he comes home, he often stops by your favourite restaurant and brings you your favourite meal. When you study or work, he either makes you or buys you your favourite coffee. When he sees any flower of your favourite colour, or that at least looks similar to what you showed him, he’d get it for you.

You’re also shocked when you end up speaking to him about random things, like maybe and old story, or some friends, and he says the most specific things - ‘Yes, you told me about the pink haired guy with the big nose’ or ‘And then X and Y hooked up, while Z was sleeping next to them, only to be woken up by the dog - But they didn’t have a dog.’ or silly things like that.

Agito won’t get why you’re giggling so amused whenever he speaks what he remembers - It’s definitely because his voice is so low, and he’s a mountain of a man that could scare half the population away, only to hear him speak the weirdest things.

Takayama was right in a way though - Agito had no clue what a relationship actually was - So he needed a lot of guidance, communication and explaining.

You’d end up guiding him to your shared bed and offering the smallest caresses on his sharp face, or you urge him to place his head on your lap so you can play with his hair until he falls asleep - They’re both miracles that he had no idea he needed, but now he can’t live without.

Your sweet kisses were the same - You climbed on his lap one day, and grinned, seeing him look at you questioningly, only to end up with your arms around his neck as you pull him into your first shared kiss.

It was the first time that you saw Agito flustered and completely flabbergast, completely unaware of how to act - But his hands were gripping your hips without even realising.

Little by little, you encourage him to reciprocate, and then, to kiss you back - Of course, only when in private, as you don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable with PDA - And though it’s not exactly fighting, he’s quick to learn and ply to your needs.

He easily picks up on what inches of your skin to touch to earn certain sighs and gasps, and he knows how to hold you when he pulls you into a kiss...

And later on, he knows the perfect strategy on how to make you feel the most pleasure... Though, if anyone ever walks by the room and hears anything - And they have the audacity to point it out to him, he’ll literally die inside and would end up attempting to sleep under the bed from embarrassment, refusing any kind of contact for a while.

Actually, he might suggest he sleeps outside. You don’t let him.

Over 20 years pass after you first meet each other and start dating, and the Kengan Annihilation Tournament takes place, and though you’re excited to see Agito fighting again, you’re afraid he might lose control and destroy the fighting spirit of another fighter. It was you who was able to yell out his name and snap him out of his animalistic side... And not even that worked most of the time.

Before each fight, you would be there to encourage him, and after it, you would praise him and throw a towel at his head to dry his hair out from all that sweat.

Though he doesn’t ask you to get into the showering stall with him, Agito appreciates hearing your sweet voice, talking about mundane things as he’s bathing - It’s his way of releasing all the fighting rage and return to his normal, human side.

But if you feel he’s far too gone into his own head, you can always get in the shower with him and hug him from behind - That’s it, just hold him, and maybe plant a little kiss between his shoulder blades, and he’s melted - That is, if the water temperature isn’t too high for you, as anything below 45 oC is cold.

That also makes bathing together a bit difficult if you’re not into scorching hot baths - But if you can endure that, it’s going to be the most relaxing and soothing experience you ever have.

Also, he’d like having his hair washed and you washing his body - More or less because he likes you touching him, but also, because the smell of all the products you use on him is so pleasant that he can’t get enough.

And Agito enjoys the drowsy feeling he gets when you two get intimate in the water.

Before his fight with Hatsumi, you witness his fight with Omori, and realise that he can actually switch between his two sides with ease, although the delay can work against him. If he manages to completely get rid of it, he’ll be unstoppable - And that was obvious by the way he completely destroyed Hatsumi Sen.

But the same couldn’t be said about Kuroki Gensai, who ended up becoming the Kengan champion - Katahara ended up explaining that it was him who asked Kuroki to come over and fight, and in the end, it was supposed to get him some excitement at his old age, but also, to bring Agito some revelation.

That revelation ended up with Kano resigning from his title of Fang, asking Takayama for his bike and ending up traveling the world with you by his side, in hopes of finding himself.

Unlike before, he’s now completely attentive at any pop culture thing you like - To the point that he’s so fascinated, he quotes lines from those shows or games... Though here and there, he still mistakes movie posters for actual warnings, poor dear.

He genuinely tries to get better at video games, but he sucks - His fingers are too big for PC games, phone games don’t count, and console games... What the hell is a controller? And more importantly... How was Okubo able to get so good at this?!

During this traveling, Agito properly finds out about marriage, weddings and what they symbolise - He would probably propose in the weirdest way, like he sees your shoelaces untied and he kneels to tie them up, only to remember that scene from some movie where the man kneels in front of the woman and tells her to marry him.

But unlike the high-pitched cheer from the movie, you just stare down at him, frozen in time, which makes him so confused that he calls your name out multiple times, and waves his hand in front of you - And the only thing that wakes you up is putting you into a deep kiss.

He’ll probably insist on getting you a ring, just to apply to the tradition he saw on TV - And he’s so excited when he gets to hold your hand and slip the ring on your finger. He’ll end up kissing your hands and holding them much more often now, just because he’s so happy with being able to call you his wife - In a more traditional way, considering you’ve been together for 20+ years and everyone was calling you a married couple to begin with.

Agito ends up improving his fighting style with your help, to the point that he has no more delay - But to achieve that, he had to fight all in - And he always regretted going too far without realising. 

He always make up to you though.

The two of you get to know each other even better, and you didn’t think that was possible - But the trust and loyalty you had in each other was beyond comprehension. 

The two of you even make some new friends, though you still keep in contact with the old ones.

After a year and a half of constant traveling, the two of you settle down in a hotel in Arizona and stay there for about 6-7 months, time in which you explored the place far and wide on your bike, you changed your style completely to the leather biker get up, and continued honing your fighting style, while finding yourselves properly.

Until Himuro Ryo finds the two of you in the bar, tells you of the betrayal from the Sixth Fang and Agito immediately joins the Kengan vs Purgatory tournament, seeking revenge in the name of his master.

He was so pumped up to rip the traitor’s throat up, that you had to ground him down... Although, you were visibly just as angry as he was. Not only had that fucker put in danger Katahara, but Sayaka and Retsudo also! Her sweet children! How dare he?!

But Agito never gets his revenge the way you did - The sight of you punching the traitor in the face in the corridor, however, was satisfying enough.

That little Misasa had all the fun though. Hopefully, he’d have the chance to rip the traitor apart later.

Another Purgatory fighter went into the ring and baited him with a Gu bracelet - And he rose to the provoking. “Wait, Agito - Don’t let emotions take over you!” you warned him, only to receive a kiss on your forehead. It should serve as enough reassurance that he’ll be fine. He never met a survivor before though - And learning so many things about the Worm, that Tokito Niko, and seeing some kind of Removal mimicry, that was rather poor also.

Agito defeated him easily, and ran his fingers through his damp hair as he walked back to the Kengan side - Smirking down at you, knowing perfectly well what that catwalk-style walk of his does to you.

He also gets the chance to punch the traitor after the tournament, so he’s feeling much better.

More fun MoM facts!

There are many instances of the MoM using tildes in his speech, particularly when he's joking/teasing. I'm disappointed that the localization did nothing to preserve them, since I feel like their frequent use was a hint to his identity. And it's cute.

Whether or not you believe that he has any connection to Jack from Agito XIII - although you should, because he does - it's something they have in common.

From the Final Fantasy Type-0 World Preview book:

The inflection he places on the words at the ends of his sentences with a tilde (~) demonstrates his “nonchalance.” He has incredible mental strength, shown in the way he maintains the same attitude no matter what type of opponent he faces.

They thought this information was important enough to add to the page about the character. It's his thing.

Even more fun facts!

Unless MoM's having a serious moment, he talks like an airheaded teenager, often ending sentences with the addition of し. Demyx does this a lot. It's not an odd thing to do unless it's a habit. There's nothing like this in English, but I guess the closest comparison I can think of would be like when someone has the habit of ending their sentences with the inflection of a question when it isn't necessary. (Like this? You know how it sounds when someone does this?? all the time??)

I found a blog where someone gave their own example:

This word is somewhat informal, and used less (if at all) in polite Japanese (敬語). Also, it doesn’t have a very intellectual image to it. For example, there is a Japanese TV celebrity by the name of Rola (ローラ) who frequently speaks with this expression and draws out the し sound. Although I think it is all an act, her character is very ditzy and seems like she has a two-digit IQ. So when you are using し, make sure to not overly draw out that sound, unless you're a young girl and want to project that sort of image. (:

What I'm saying is, the localization needs to make MoM sound younger and dumber.

Does Jack do this? Sometimes. It would make sense for him to talk like this, but he doesn't do it often. This one is a MoM & Demyx exclusive.

57 and 68 for either s/hin soukoku or All Might? Okay there's one more coming and then I swear I'm done

Another thank you for the ask!!! I've been having such a good time with these, you have no idea, hahaha~~ I chose S/hin S/oukoku because it sparked an idea for how it might go down, but I’d be more than happy to do something for A/ll M/ight too if you’d like <3 (I just… the idea of tormenting A/kutagawa was too good to pass up hehehe~) Another first time writing characters, so I hope it’s enjoyable, or at least tolerable!  2.2k words, prompts 57 and 68, story under cut! 57. “Stop telling me you’re okay.”  68. Sparring/training and coughing/sneezing. (References to slightly high fever and violence, they're sparring so there's attacks from both of them, though it's mostly from A/kutagawa. Nothing graphic is mentioned, but there are definitely implications, so just in case anyone doesn't like that!)

‘By all accounts, Akutagawa is dying right before my eyes.’ 

Atsushi watches his sparring partner aim yet another attack, pausing to lean into his hand with a cough that leaves both of them winded. ‘He sounds rough… I’ve noticed he coughs a lot on a good day, he must have weak lungs. Oh- that can’t be a good match for a chest cold…’ 

“Maybe we should take a brea-ouuf!”

He’s cut off by another blow to the chest, Akutagawa’s eyes burning straight into his soul. The ferocity is dampened by the hand Akutagawa raises to his mouth, ducking away with another cough that nearly brings him to his knees. Managing to subdue it enough to speak, Akutagawa resumes his glaring.

“We will do no such thing. Dazai has personally asked me to train you, so that is what I shall do. ah’GSh’kieu-!”

“A- are you sure you’re up for- hey!”

This time he manages to dodge, rolling across the alley as Rashōmon grazes his arm. ‘He’s still able to put up a pretty good offense, despite being so sick. His defense though… whenever he has to duck away to relieve his lungs or sinuses he’s vulnerable. B- but… that feels unfair to take advantage of…’

“Tired alr- heh’enSH’kiue-! already, weretiger? We’ve barely begun.”

“I’m fine, Akutagawa.”

“And what is that suppo- eh’DSHhh’kuu-! supposed to mean?” 

“Oh I wonder. Come on, you’re sick. You can’t go-”

“hh’gSHh’kieu-!”

“-a few minutes without sneezing.” 

Atsushi can’t hide the giggle spilling from his lips at the adorable nature of Akutagawa’s sneezes, jumping to the side as another blow lazily misses him. ‘His movements are getting slower. I was late on my reaction, unfocused, he should have been easily able to hit me.’ 

“ah’knshh-nNShh’kiew-!”

“Bless-”

“Don’t. Just because Dazai picked- gshhh’kuu-! that up doesn’t mean you need to follow suit.”

“Uh- aren’t you the one who practically worships him..?”

“I want him to notice my strength. I do not want to become him. Besides, he only started- hh’enDSHhh’kieeu-! using that particular expression to torment particular members of- eh’nnNSHh’kiu-! the port mafia.” 

Each sneeze seems to shake his entire body, Atsushi barely resisting the urge to grab his arm as Akutagawa trembles from the force. ‘They’re pretty tiny noises, and yet they seem to take so much out of him. He’s gotta be sicker than he’s letting on. Maybe I can use Dazai as a way to get him to admit it…’ 

“Oh, I actually didn’t know that! It seems you know Dazai pretty well, huh?” 

“Enough talking. Rashōmon, Agito!”

This time Atsushi doesn’t even have to dodge, another cough shaking Akutagawa enough to have the jaw crash into the ground before it can reach its target. Atsushi responds with an assault of his own, letting his claws form on one hand as he lunges. Akutagawa’s barely able to block, only succeeding since his Rashōmon blocks by instinct.

“After that, you’re still claiming you’re fit to train?” 

“hieSHhh’keew-! gNNSHhh’kuu-!”

“Bless you!”

“I thought I told you not to do that.”

A light warmth bathes Atsushi’s face as he offers a sheepish smile, eyes closing as his cheeks raise. At the sound of Akutagawa coughing again, he reopens them, starting to ramble to give Akutagawa a bit of privacy to rid his lungs of the irritation.

“Sorry, it’s become a bit of a habit. We all say it in the agency now! I actually think Dazai started saying it to tease Kunikida, but then Kenji latched on, and now even Ranpo will use it at time-”

“What exactly gives you the impression that I care, weretiger?”

“N- nothing I guess, sorry- I ju-”

“Tsk. Focus on the battle. If you drop your guard like that the enemy can easily- aH’DnGshh’kiew-!”

Laughter bubbles up through Atsushi’s throat before he can muffle it, Akutagawa responding with Rashōmon. Unable to dodge in time, Atsushi finds the jaw latching onto his leg, a wound that would be serious on most anyone else. ‘He knows my healing will take care of it. If he wanted me dead he’d aim for the throat. B- but… I can’t tell if he’s going easy because Dazai asked him to train me, or because of-’

“hH’INdgT’kiew-!”

“That sounded like it hurt.”

“dNgZSh’kiew-! It did not.” 

“The wincing would suggest otherwise.”

“hheHh-! N- no. I am simpl- eh’geXGT’kiew-! simply growing tired of these interruptions.” 

Akutagawa’s hand is clenched against his face, pinching his nose shut as each ‘interruption’ grows in force. ‘It’s almost hurting me to watch him do this, they sound utterly unsatisfying.’ Atsushi finds himself thinking, eyes darting down to the tremble in Akutagawa’s legs once more. 

“hH’eNXGT’kieuu-!”

“That can’t be helping-”

“Rashōmon, Sawarabi!”

Climbing the wall of the building to his left, Atsushi manages to dodge the spikes rising from the floor where he once stood. ‘Alright, alright, I get the message! Focus on the training. Maybe… maybe I can use this to get him to admit he’s sick…’ Another attack has him springing back to the ground, his paw managing to grab the cloth before it can strike once more. Akutagawa is too busy shuddering into his hand with another fit of coughing to interfere.

“If I pin you, will you finally call it for the day and go rest?”

“Even if I was in a weakened state, you wouldn’t stand a chance, weretiger.”

Akutagawa attempts a huff, a cough spilling out in its place, Atsushi finding himself unable to prevent the wince from scraping through his clenched teeth.

“I- I mean, at least you’re admittin-”

“I said if. But that time is n- haHh-! N- not… nohhEht- eH’dSHh’kiew-! hH’eNSChh’kiue-! Hihh… guhh’eSHH’kiuu-!”

“Didn’t quite catch that through the sneezing attack.”

“That time is not tod- hH’eNgT’kiew-! Not today. I am perfectly fine, weretiger. Focus on tr- trahhh… training- aH’GSHh’kuu-! INgT’kiew-! gNNt-eNDT’kuu-!”

Using the lapse in concentration to his advantage, Atsushi throws himself at Akutagawa, easily pinning him to the ground. ‘I didn’t even need my gift to have the strength to hold him… that can’t be good.’ Akutagawa gasps, the force of the impact leaving him panting, prompting another cough to rattle his lungs. Atsushi flinches at the expulsions. ‘His decency’s still intact, even when it comes to me. He’s attempting to aim for his shoulder. I was careful not to crush him, but I might have been a bit roug-’

His thoughts are quickly silenced by Akutagawa’s Rashōmon catching him in the chest, jaws tightening against his arms as the frail man slips back to his feet. The cough hasn’t receded, and a few more sneezes push their way out as he weakly lifts a hand to cover. 

“ihh’geashh’kieu-! Guh… hnn’EShhh’kuu-!” 

A slight wheeze starts to present itself from Akutagawa’s battered lungs, Atsushi prying Rashōmon from his arms with a grimace. ‘That really doesn’t sound good… Screw this! I’ve had it.’

“You know what? No.”

“Wha-”

“Nope, shut up, it’s my turn. Stop telling me you’re okay! You’re clearly not, and it’s starting to feel like an insult to my intelligence for you to keep insisting you are.”

“I see no intelligence to speak of- hnN’GShh’kiew-!”

“Enough, Akutagawa! Training’s over, you need to rest.”

“Rashōmo-” 

The attack is cut short as Akutagawa’s knees give out beneath him, Atsushi’s mouth hanging open as he stumbles forward, catching himself against the wall. ‘D- didn’t see that one coming… maybe he has a fever..? Or maybe I pushed him into the ground a little too hard. I was trying to be gentle bu-’ 

“Weretiger, stop thinking so loudly, you’re g- giehhh… hinNChh’kuu-! giving me a headache.” 

“S- sorry… hey wait- no, I’m not sorry, how is my thinking giving you a headache?!” 

Akutagawa seems to be forming a response, raising himself from the wall to let his glare meet Atsushi’s eyes, just for them to flutter shut as he falls once more. Atsushi finds his body moving on its own, catching Akutagawa before he can hit the floor. The heat radiating from his body causes beads of sweat to form on Atsushi’s face in response as he pulls Akutagawa back to his feet. The man’s eyes snap open, wide with terror as his body flinches away from Atsushi’s touch.

“It’s just me.”

Atsushi keeps his tone low and grip tight. ‘He won’t like that I’m holding him up, but if I let go I think he’ll just fall back on his face… much as he doesn’t believe it, I don’t actually want to watch him die in an alley.’ The panic from Akutagawa’s face slowly starts to fade as his eyes meet Atsushi’s, recognition slowly replacing the feverish haze. Seizing the moment while he has the chance, Atsushi speaks up once more, voice still low, careful not to startle the man in his arms.

“Dazai would be upset if you died here, Akutagawa. It would ruin his plans. And you’re not weak for being sick, you’re human, it’s not exactly like you can help it.”

Deciding to add a little humour, Atsushi lets his eyes crinkle shut with a wide smile, a faint laugh humming out.

“You should hear Dazai if he even has the sniffles! He’ll just mope around the office moaning and whining, it’s frankly hilarious!” 

Clarity returning to his eyes, Akutagawa attempts to stand back up, neither of them mentioning how he needs to cling to Atsushi to do it. He huffs lightly, seeming relieved when the action doesn’t trigger another round of coughing.

“I don’t need your help, weretiger.”

“Whatever you say, Akutagawa.” 

Atsushi lightly chuckles at the grip Akutagawa still has on his shoulder, the weaker man letting another round of sneezes tear from his sinuses. He aims for one of his hands, the other bracing himself against Atsushi as they tremble through him.

“hH’GnSHh’kiew-! eh’nNSHhhh’kuu-! hAHh-! hihhh… hiH’NNChh’kiuee-!”

“Bless you.” 

Akutagawa’s only response is another huff, Atsushi’s eyes meeting his with an unspoken message. ‘I’ve got you.’ He can’t help the smile that spreads down his face as Akutagawa lets his eyes flutter shut, weight shifting onto Atsushi.

They begin the two block journey to the detective agency’s headquarters, Atsushi deciding it’ll be the quickest way to get Akutagawa sleeping. ‘I doubt he’d let me know where he lives, and I’m not exactly eager to bring him back to my place… and if I walked into the port mafia with him like this I’d be shot on site.’ 

“What is he doing here, Atsushi?”

Kunikida’s voice pulls both men out of their trance, Akutagawa quickly detangling himself to lean against the wall. Atsushi flinches, Kunikida and Akutagawa exchanging dark looks as they stand toe to toe.

“Dazai requested him to train me, but I needed a bit of a break! I hope it’s okay we came inside, I just need to grab some water before I continue..?” 

Eyes flicker over to him, Kunikida seeming to evaluate the situation while Akutagawa raises a hand to his face, feigning nonchalance as he brushes it against his nose. Atsushi recognizes the look in his eyes as he attempts to pinch his nose shut subtly. ‘He has to sneeze, but he’s not willing to show that weakness in front of Kunikida.’ 

“Well… I suppose that’s acceptable, just- keep an eye on him, okay kid? I know Dazai asked him to train you, but I don’t trust him here for a minute.”

“The feeling is m-heH… mutual.”

Atsushi picks up the “Or trust Dazai not to make a reckless call to further his own personal gain, the idiot,” Kunikida lets slip under his breath as Akutawaga’s glare hardens, nose twitching beneath his grasp. Electing to ignore the insults, Atsushi offers a nervous smile.

“Thank you, I knew you’d understand, we’ll be out of here in no time, promise!”

With that he grabs Akutagawa’s free arm, dragging the man into another hallway away from prying eyes. Once they’ve gotten far enough he stops, turning to Akutagawa who’s attempting to smother himself against his hand.

“We’re alone now, you can-”

“hEH’GNZSHH’OO-! nNZSHH’UHh-!”

“Oh- bless yo-”

“hH’DSHh’kiew-! eh’nNSHhh’kuu-! hiHh-! hih’nnSHhh’kieu-!”

“Bless you again, Akutagawa.”

“I didn’t ask for your blessings, or your help.” 

Rolling his eyes, Atsushi lets Akutagawa lean against him once more, the fever soaking through his clothes as they keep walking. ‘Would it kill him to say thanks?! Actually- knowing Akutagawa, it just might.’

“I know a back office even Kunikida never goes to. You can sleep there, no one will bother you.” 

Reaching the door, Atsushi pulls it open, revealing a small office complete with boxes, shelves, and a small couch in the corner closest to the entrance. Akutagawa rolls his eyes, growling out a retort as his body seems drawn to the couch by a force he’s unable to avoid.

“I’m not sleeping in th- eh’gSHh’kiew-! this office. I’m not weak like you weretiger. I don’t need to…” 

Akutagawa’s sentence trails off, eyes snapping closed as his head hits the soft leather. Light snores start pouring out, congestion crackling in his chest as he lets out a soft cough in his sleep. Atsushi lets a warm smile creep back onto his face, lightly brushing the hair from Akutawa’s feverish forehead before turning off the light and shutting the door.

“Sleep well, Akutagawa.”

Yuuki Tsugami (Kamen Rider Agito)- The brave and kind young man with psychic powers. Much like his father, he’s really good at committing to his double-life role, to the point that most people (aside of his friends) could not distinguish from his silent, noble warrior of Agito to his happy-go-lucky, pun-loving guy personas. The first to jump into battle when monsters are in the vicinity.

Taira Kaoru (Kamen Rider Kuuga)- The optimist with nearly 2000 skills, with the goal of giving people smiles. He’s the go-to guy when his friends needed comfort and getting the spirits up. While he despises the use of violence, he feels it is a necessity to stop monsters from causing harm.

Koji Sumiko (Kamen Rider G3-X)- A half-Japanese and half-British ex-cop, who is a smart and courageous badass. When his mind is put into work, he’s a serious hacker, operator and fighter. When off duty, he’s laidback, chill (most of the time) and the type to crack a good joke or two. Though, he does get irritated when there’s chaos in the room, sometimes.

Recko Ashihara (Kamen Rider Gills)- The serious one and the “Reality Hammer” of the group. Although he has trust issues with people, he always follows his friends and not afraid to speak the truth when he feels the situation needs it. He also has a low-content woldog companion named Raider.

Tensai Kiryu (Kamen Rider Build)- The eccentric narcissist but good hearted genius of the Rider gang. While his ways of invention and problem solving could be described as chaotic and he’s a certified troll, he will do anything to keep his friends and everyone around him safe and kick some baddies’ ass for Love and Peace.

Sakiko Hino (Kamen Rider OOO)- The “big sister” and the voice of reason. Sweet and fierce, her love for adventure and her deep caring for her friends made her the person that keeps everything together when times go sore. She got super-strength that she had inherited from her grandmother, which she’s a bit embarrassed about it.

Leo Hidari and Soren (Kamen Rider W)- Two in one Rider, a pair of expert detectives from an obscure Japanese city of Fuuto. While Leo is the resident half-boiled drama queen of the group, his compassion and empathy is essential when faced with the criminals he arrests. Soren is his close partner with mysterious wind powers, who is an oblivious nerd, but very helpful when it comes to find important information.

Akira Hiden (Kamen Rider Zero One)- The youngest of the group and the CEO of an android company of his family heritage, Hiden Intelligence. Cheerful, caring and humble, he’s the type who tries his best to support his friends no matter how dire the situation is. Even when cracking one of his many terrible puns. He has a sentient android secretary named Izu, who accompanies him and act as his close support.

due to everyone’s schedules and the number of channels renewed, we limited the number of personal channels accepted. we’ve mentioned some of the rules and requirements to this over HERE, but we wanted to expand a bit further so you can get a better idea of how the personal channels are set up:

depending on the muse’s NOTORIETY (at the time of this post), the writing requirements may vary slightly so please pay attention to that when planning when to write the solos/posts!

once the debuted artist has created a personal channel, they will be expected to pay any of the expenses that might be used. so if you’re planning on doing some sort of game or challenge with a guest, do note that they will be given the bare minimum especially that the selected artists are just starting their channels.

since there is an option to invite a GUEST on the show once per trimester, this will probably be filmed during a time when BOTH the host and guest are free. generally speaking, actors and idols usually are the busiest due to their schedules followed by models and trainees so take that into consideration when thinking of who to invite. for this term the guests have been randomly assigned based on groups/paths. this means that in the latter section you will see which muse is paired up with the group/path and should you choose to have a guest, the guest must be someone from that group/path. the guest should also be someone who HASN'T made an appearance on the show before.

as a reminder, we discourage any prior plot calls off dash to ensure fairness and inclusivity towards everyone who might be interested in participating as a guest on the personal channels.

in terms of traveling, the debuted artist can travel to different parts of korea but most likely that will be filmed on sunday, which is the day that everyone has a day off (exception is if they’re given a holiday break like chuseok). if the debuted artist plans to do that at any time during the trimester, they will have to do all of the filming by themselves.

the length of the videos vary, but typically each video is about 10-25 minutes long with all of the editing! like mentioned previously, the guest will NOT receive any points for replying to the thread if the personal channel owner chooses to do the thread component. in addition to this, it is encouraged that any of the HOST muns who have multiple muses should be mindful of whether they should guest in other people’s personal channels. this is because we want to consider this as an opportunity for the HOSTS to get to know their fellow colleagues and use this as a chance to thread with muses whom they might not be able to interact with on a daily basis due to their schedules.

after the deadline has passed, we’ll add on the lgc master sheet (specifically on the LGCMEDIA SCHEDULE tab) when the episodes that you’ve submitted were aired. as a reminder, the debuted artist has released more episodes than the number that was written for this trimester.

Kanoh Agito - Is a man of few words. He doesn't speak much throughout the day, he uses acts of service as his love language. He loves to help you in any way possible. Need to go to the store, he'll come with, need to do chores around the house, he'll help out.

Kanoh Agito - He's a warrior first before he's a lover, but love isn't unknown to him, having to watch over Sayaka for years has given him some love in his heart. Seeing her cute little smiles for years from baby giggles to young woman chuckles. It's given his heart some form of love, so he's not unaware of what it is.

Kanoh Agito - Is an honest man, who will tell you how it is, and if you cry then that's on you, he isn't sure why you shouldn't know the truth or why you deny it so hard, the truth is absolute, there is no such thing as if, and, and buts. Unless you're Ohma Tokita, who somehow always bends the truth to his passion.

He's also a simple man, he wants nothing in life really, he just wants a place to live with the love of his life where he can keep them safe and happy to the best of his abilities.

Kanoh Agito - Is a man who follows a strict schedule, so he'd be the first person in a relationship to awaken, if not which is rare, then he'll expect you to wake him up as soon as you do.

If he wakes up first, then he'll get up, take a shower, work out and train, take a shower, and even cook breakfast. If you wake up first, then he'll take a shower with you and will even help you make breakfast.

If he wakes up first and If you're still asleep till it's almost 11, then he'll wake you up from gentle rocking of your shoulder, telling you that breakfast is ready.

Kanoh Agito - Will either go out for a run or he'll stay home and spend the day with you after breakfast. If he goes out for a run then you'll have the house to yourself for about 30 minutes to an hour, if he didn't then you'll be home with him, possibly teaching him about something he saw on the internet or on TV.

Kanoh Agito - Who helps you with chores around the house. He sees this as a form of bonding. If you're washing dishes then he's doing laundry, if you're vacuuming then he's mopping, if you're wiping down the windows then he's wiping off the counters. He takes chores seriously, especially if you've given him a chore to do, he's like a child, as soon as he's done with a chore he'll come back and ask for another one. And he will want you to inspect his work.

Kanoh Agito - Who likes to cuddle on the couch and watch whatever you want to watch before lunch hour, another form of bonding. He enjoys watching TV with you, and he likes hearing your input on certain topics. And don't watch a movie with him that you've been dying to see, he'll ask questions throughout the entire thing, especially if it's something he's never seen before.

On days when he goes out for a morning run, he'll come back, and take a shower, and he'll want something to eat, so be ready to either cook up a meal or order some takeout.

Kanoh Agito - Who loves to help you cook lunch, he finds this another form of bonding and will take the job very seriously if you give him something to do.

"Throw this away." done, next. "Chop this up." Done, next. "Wash this out and dry it." Done, next. If he's chopping up food, he'll want you to inspect it once he's done. Don't tell him to 'watch the food', he'll take it literally and will stay in the kitchen till the food is done.

Kanoh Agito - After lunch, he likes to do a light workout/training sesh, he has to stay in shape and keep his training up.

He'll always give you the option of joining in, and he'll be so happy if you agree to do so, if not, then he won't mind. He wants to stay strong so that he can continue to fight and so that he can protect you too.

If you want to join in, then be ready for a pretty tiring workout, but he won't go so hard on you.

If one of the boys wants to hang out with him for the evening he'll have you stay with Kaolan or Ohma, since he trusts them to be the most responsible... more leaning towards Kaolan.

If you want to come with, then be ready for him to be on your ass. He's not a possessive lover, but he is very aware of you, with everyone hanging out in one area, Lihito is bound to try and flirt with you.

Kanoh Agito - before dinner, he'll want to probably go out with you somewhere for a while, and if not, then he'll be down for a light nap with you.

If he's out with the boys then you'll be spending the day with either Ohma or Kaolan until he gets home, and he always gets home 30 minutes before dinner. Simply because he wants to spend the most domestic parts of the day with you and because no other man can eat at his table without his presence.

Kanoh Agito - Who loves cooking dinner with you just as much as he does lunch, he'll help with whatever task you give him, after dinner he'll want to take a shower with you. It doesn't have to be sexual, he just wants you to be as close to him as possible while you both do a normal human activity that's not weird. Because using the toilet together is apparently weird, from what you told him.

Kanoh Agito - Who is usually the last to fall asleep, he'll hold you close to him, watching TikTok with you over your shoulders or a TV show you wanted to watch until you fell asleep.

If it's TikTok then be expecting questions. He'll turn everything off once you've fallen asleep, giving you a kiss on your temple as he drifts off to sleep as well.
