It’s just all (for the most part) really cute and there’s a lotta blurred lines and boundaries that get cleared up (they define what their relationship is but with ~love~) in their fics :) My fav? Making Sense by kiyala (T) 1.5k // it’s very cute and I am one who loves when things just fall into place :D

tookumade // this writer has some of MY FAVORITE MatsuHana fics in it and I’m kinda really sad I don’t get to ramble on about them here :( (dw I will elsewhere LOL) If I had to choose, I would say Remind Me by tookumade (T) 28.6k and Zenith, Nadir by tookumade (T) 10.7k were my absolute favorites, but I cannot choose between them so don’t make me.

plumtrees // I LOVE THIS WRITER OMG. Again, someone who has written my all time FAVORITE fics (did I mention OF ALL TIME?) and I’ve obsessively read some of them too many times :’) Because I already recommended my other faves above, Captured Light by plumtrees (T) 3.5k will be my acting favorite rn. It’s really cute and depicts some really sweet moments between MatsuHana too!

h_lovely // this writer has SO MANY GOOD FICS! I really love their series and their getting together fics are all SO GOOD UGH. I recommended my favorite teen one above, but the other ones I loved are explicit so just check out this writer in general LOL. (I REALLY love mirror flower, water moon, it’s my favorite but it’s E cause some smexy scene happen, but it’s really SO good omfg. Also the roses series IS AMAZING as well!!!!)

And like I love it when characters are smart, like I love intelligent characters so like this was just ajndf. (also same Mattsun, I am allergic to normal math.)

This is a pretty iconic fic in MatsuHana hell (in my personal opinion) and if I didn’t have that two fic limit on my staple fics, this would be there. I really loved the ending of it (v cute and v well done), but also the small side stories that were inserted made it all the more entertaining :D (aka the volleyball) But they are drinking underage, so if you’re not about that BE WARNED.

it's cold out here by bishounen_curious (M) 8.6k // PLEASE I LOVE THIS FIC. YES READ YESYESYES READ. OKAY FIRST check tags and warnings, there’s a lot going on in this fic. Like don’t be stupid like them, drinking underage, and don’t do drugs not a good idea very very bad. Aside from that, I am in love with sad sad sad Makki (along with stupid IwaOi) and him being a sad drunk made me ajhkjdfs. Just read it and feel the akfnakjs with me LMFAO.

Also, recursive endings are some of my favorites (if you couldn’t already tell LOL), and I think it really makes something so nostalgic and adds depth to a fic.

The Courage of Stars by FairyLights101 (T) 7.1k // AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS FIC YES!!!! OKAY TW CANCER THERE’S CANCER IN THIS NO DEATH JUST PAIN and chemo (which basically is pain). Some controversy, but the angst part of me wanted him to die DONT GET ME WRONG, I’m glad he lived, but like imagine. I really love this fic, and his efforts in the bucket list were admirable :’)

nebulas by tothemoon (T) 10.8k // I like the casualness of it. Like the confession was just so casual (smooth Mattsun) and like the progression was GOOD. Like, it’s a very poetic fic and there’s lots of thinking of deeper meaning, but its still got some comedy sprinkled throughout. I really loved the flow of it!!!!

Everything was just so ajsdfljdsn and I really love the 3 part plan Mattsun comes up with :DDDD (esp pt 3). Also, to propose while having an emotional breakdown at 3am in a McDonalds drive through. A mf dream.

Reflex by hiuythn (T) 2.3k // PLEASE IF THEY DIDN’T MEET AT HS THIS WOULD BE CANON ASF. You cannot tell me you don’t think this would not be cannon asf. They would meet like this. Also poor Teuchi stuck in the middle of all of this. I haven’t watched naruto, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is random emotional sexual bonding over something. That is important. It was SO good. I feel like I say this a lot though LOL, but I’m just really into fics with good plot progression (or else I don’t read them OOPS).

description: you and rudy have been sneaking around for a while now, what happens when you get caught in front of thousands of fans?😳😳

warnings: making out?? ooo and swearing oops (as a british person i can’t just NOT swear)

            Rudy’s lips smashed against yours, moving hungrily as his arms snaked around your waist. You gasped, arms moving to hook around his neck as he slipped his tongue in your mouth. You had to be on set in five, and you were just passing the time with your good friend Rudy in his trailer.

Between the two of you, neither of you were quite sure what you were. So far, all you guys had done was purely physical. Of course, there had been lingering touches, longing stares, stolen smiles. But you hadn’t talked about it. 

It had started with flirty jokes, and then, boom! It just kinda happened, if you were being honest.

Not breaking the kiss, the two of you stumbled backwards until you bumped into the table. You jumped up and he took his pace between your legs, detaching his lips from yours and turning his attention to the skin on your neck. You moaned, heading rolling back to give him more access.

“Hey, Rudy? You in there?” Your eyes widen at the voice outside the trailer door, freezing both yours and Rudy’s movements.

“Uh, yeah?” Rudy says, clearing his throat.

“Why’s the door locked, toot?” You could practically see the suggestive smirk on Chase’s face.

“Cause I’m about to take a shit and I didn’t want anyone to come in here and smell that,” Rudy replies, looking at you with a grin on his face. You rest your head in the crook of his neck, pressing your face up to it to suppress your laughter.

Chase laughs. “Alright, then, but have you seen Y/N? I’ve been looking for her everywhere.”

“Nah, sorry bro,” Rudy calls out when you shake your head at him. “I’ve gotta take this shit or I’ll explode. See you in a sec.”

“It’s good, bro,” Chase replies. “She’s gotta be on set now, though. I’ll find her, don’t worry about it. Probably went off to craft services or something.”

You glare at the door where Chase is stood on the other end, but your eyes widen wen you realise you’re gonna be late to set.

“Cya, man,” Rudy says, helping you down from the counter as you pat down your hair. Chase mumbles a “bye”.

You two wait until it’s clear, giving Rudy a quick peck as you subtlety sneak out the trailer door once you’re sure Chase is gone.

As you walk - more like jog - away, you look back. Through the window you salute to Rudy, and he salutes back with a maniacal grin on his perfect face.

You’ve just finished shooting for the day, and straight away, you headed over to see Rudy. He’d slid you a note earlier in the day to meet him at his trailer once you were done.

Arriving, you were immediately pulled into a kiss by by the blond headed bimbo who’d stolen your heart. You smiled against his lips, happily thinking about the fact that you could finally call him yours.

Around two weeks ago now you two had finally sorted through your shit and admitted your feelings for each other. However, you’d both decided it would be better if you kept your newfound relationship to yourselves. You didn’t want to make things awkward if it didn’t work out, and, besides, sneaking around was fun. “Think of it as our little secret,” you had said.

You pulled away from the kiss and he pouted. Laughing, you pecked him on the cheek and watched as a smile took over on his lips. Rudy’s arms situated themselves around your waist as he laid the two of you down on the makeshift sofa in his trailer.

Rudy was lying on your lap as you played with his hair, occasionally kissing him as some stupid ass movie played on the TV. It was a nice breather from all the crazy scenes you’d been filming and you couldn’t feel more relaxed.

Well, that was until there was a knock at the door. You wasted no time in rushing into the bathroom, hiding as Rudy went to answer the door.

“Yo, dude,” you hear JD greet and you mentally cuss him out.

“Uh, hey, JD, Maddie,” Rudy says. “What’s up?”

“Why’re you being so weird?” Maddie questions, confused as to why Rudy seemed hesitant about letting them in.

“Me?” Rudy asks, shaking his head. “Nah, I’m not being weird.”

“Whatever,” Madison huffs. You hear her and JD walk in and mutter profanities under your breath. Thank god you had picked up your phone from the sofa or you would be toast. “We wanted to watch a movie and you have the comfiest couch.”

“What’re we watchin?” Rudy asks, bouncing on his heels. Madison shares a look with JD, confused as to what the hell was up with him.

“I dunno,” JD shrugs. “I gotta take a tinker in your bathroom, though. I’ll be right back.” He says, and your eyes widen.

“No!” Rudy calls out, and you search frantically for an escape route. There’s a window, but it’s kinda small, you’re not sure if you’d fit. Fuck it, you think as you hear JD and Mads confront Rudy about being weird.

“I just mean ... it’s kinda rank in there,” Rudy says, scratching the back of his neck.

“Disgusting,” Madison mutters.

“I’ll just block out the smell,” JD shrugs. “I’m desperate, bro.”

Rudy silently prays to himself as you fumble about the bathroom, climbing on top of the seat. You put one leg through the window as the footsteps land right outside the door, and  try to slyly maneuver yourself out with your phone in one hand. Your plan fails miserable and you tumble to the ground, landing in a bush.

“Fuck,” you mutter, sitting up and pulling leaves out your hair.

The door to the bathroom swings open and you run as fast as you can back to your own trailer. You ignore the confused looks of the crew members, and Drew calling your name as he sees you run past with twigs in your hair.

As soon as you get back to your trailer, you shoot Rudy a quick text.

I jumped out the window ;)

Jesus, Y/N. You good?

Yeah, just thank god for my super rad spy skills.

Sure, baby. Sure.

You giggle as Rudy pushes you down on your bed, peppering your skin with kisses, making you laugh more.

Filming had ended and you were currently quarantined with the cast, stuck in yours and Madelyn’s apartment. After the release of the show, you had gained quite a big fan base and your time had been occupied with online interviews and live streams. You’ve barely had the chance to sneak around with Rudy, not wanting to raise any suspicions since fans had already started shipping the two of you, pointing out the way he looks and interacts with you, and vice versa.

You didn’t want to let your friends catch on. Not yet.

Swiftly, you flip you and Rudy over, straddling him as you pull him in for a passionate kiss. You must not have heard the footsteps creeping up to your room, or the door swing open as you kissed your boyfriend.

A quick shriek alerted you of someone’s presence. You scrambled away from Rudy, cheeks red and eyes wide. It was Madelyn, stood frozen in the doorway, eyes wide. Clumsily, she dropped her phone, the object clattering to the floor

“Fuck,” Rudy mutters, pulling on his shirt as you put your hands over your face in attempt to hide you embarrassment.

Madelyn stands dead still, frozen to the spot. “Oh my god, guys, I am so so so sorry! I didn’t know you two were-”

By now, you had alerted the attention of Chase and Drew, who came running over at the sound of a scream. It didn’t take them long to connect the dots, between your rosy cheeks and swollen lips and Rudy’s messy hair and flustered appearance.

“Oh, shit,” Drew swore, eyes wide.

“Uh, guys ...” Madelyn spoke up, chuckling nervously. “I was on live and they saw ...” she motions between the two of you with her hands, “that.”

Honestly, you think you could’ve died, right then and there. You scramble to grab Maddie’s phone from the floor, seeing the comments screaming about what they had just accidentally witnessed and quickly end the live.

“I’m so sorry!” Maddie squeals, cheeks tinging red. “I was planning on scaring Y/N and I didn’t think Rudy would be in here, let alone that you two would be-”

You quickly cut her off, scratching the back of your neck and biting your lip. “It’s fine, Maddie. Seriously, don’t worry about it.”

“Yeah,” Rudy clears his throat. “You couldn't have known.”

“Uh, well,” Drew chuckles. “This is awkward.”

“Honestly, I’m gonna need a good few shots to erase the embarrassment of this moment from my memory,” you state, walking through the door and towards the kitchen where a bottle of vodka awaits you.

“I second that,” Rudy says, following you and lazily placing an arm around your waist.

Chase grins, watching the two off you. “So ... “ he trails off, gesturing between the two of you with his hand. “Are you two, yanno, together?” He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

You nod and Rudy smiles. “Yeah, we have been for a while now.”

“God, it’s about time!” Chase exclaims.

“You guys were pretty bad at hiding it,” Drew states, a grin of his own on his lips.

You mock fake offence, gasping as you poor the vodka into your shot glass. “We’ve been dating for four months, so, obviously not.” 

Madelyn’s mouth hangs open. “Four months?!” she yells. “And you didn’t tell us?”

Rudy shrugs, kissing your cheek fondly. “Eh, it was pretty fun sneaking around.”

“Agreed,” you say, smiling up at him. He meets your gaze, pecking you on the lips.

“Ew, you guys,” Chase groans. “Just because you’re together now doesn’t mean you can be all openly affectionate.”

Madelyn whacks his arm, rolling her eyes. “Shut up, they’re cute.”

“Nah, they’re gross,” Drew jokes, laughing. “Anyway, I made Mama Starkey’s casserole. Who wants some?”

“Me!” you exclaim, grinning excitedly. If there was one thing you loved it was Mama Starkey’s chicken casserole. Also, eating and drinking would be a good way to get your mind off the fact that practically the entire world saw you on top of a shirtless Rudy, making out with him.

Tbh girls loving boys and being purely devoted to a guy who might be harder to love or where there’s a lot of tension and angst is seen as sexist and people are like “girl move on” but then worship a guy’s dick for being hopelessly in love with a girl who isn’t interested. And then people are like “yeah he deserves that pussy and she just needs to open her eyes to what’s in front of her.” Yuck. That’s why I make it a point to only ship things where the girl’s feelings matter and those feelings aren’t treated like something she has to get over to grow as a character. They are a couple that Tim should be taking notes from; leave the relationship drama in the background, focus on the theatre and friendship aspect of everything)

I know everyone loves her as Nini but like I have always loved the name Nina and it really suits her to be honest also shows how she's growing up now and kind of leans into the lyric "I won't be confined to your point of view" from The Rose Song because Nini is the nickname Ricky gave her so it shows that she's outgrowing him too and I love that for her!

Overall thoughts; they really crammed all the North High drama into one ep huh. Personally would have liked it if all of this was spread out throughout the last few episodes; like different hijinks for every episode. I'm just a big fan of properly setting up the overall arc over the season instead of patching it together closer to the climax/end of the show. Favorite thing about him: His open shirt. His tattoo. His devil fruit, allowing him transformation AND healing. His (ridiculously lovable) pineapple haircut. His smile. He’s Whitebeard First Division Commander. He’s powerful, fun, trustworthy and pretty chill. His poker-face. HE’S A FRICKING DOCTOR (AND WE HAD TO WAIT HUNDREDS OF CHAPTERS TO KNOW ABOUT THAT, ODA I SWEAR-).

His kindness and dependability. It showed through the Marineford’s flashbacks already, and we’ve witnessed it more recently. You can count on him. He knows where his loyalty lies and what he owes to people. He is a will carrier like so many other characters in One Piece. I write him joking about “being the responsible one around” but he, de facto, is. And, albeit rapidly, we’ve witnessed/ his character’s growth. I would bet not many people pictured him that way when younger. Look at him, so sweet and soft.

Least favorite thing about him: There are things, but they’re mostly the fandom’s doing so... Other than this way too thick neck (but it’s not your fault, Marco dear, it’s Oda’s. Again)... I wanted to see him more and I am! But there’s just so many people in Wano, I hope they’ll all have a decent time under the spotlight. Maybe a bit of misplaced pride, if we look into the predictable outcome of the Payback War? But it’s hard to be a leader. And I can’t blame him (them) for going their separate way after that. He settled on Edward’s home island though.

Favorite line: the “It’s just a word but it makes us happy” speech to Ace. Proof he can be good (and impactful) with words. Or the cute note he wrote for Luffy.

brOTP: Marco & the Whitebeards, of course. I’d die for more WBP fluff and shenanigans! There’s never enough of it. Marco and Law, Marco and fellow doctors because, you know... Marco and Robin, too!

OTP: Mined territory again ahahah. I’m almost exclusively reading about the WBP, so when I was up to date with gen, I had to switch to ships. So Marco/Ace, with the occasional Sabo or Thatch. Marco/Law grew on me these past few years. A couple of Marco/Shanks too. What I want to clarify is that I don’t ship them in canon. Like most ships in fact. I want Oda to go the way he intend to regardless of the fans’ wishes. I do ship them in AUs though. And I don’t mind reading them in both. It’s just... I compartmentalize what’s canon and what the fandom makes of it.

nOTP: you don’t know it yet but you’re about to curse me: Marco/Whitebeard. Yes, it exists. And I do not wish to engage with such content. Anymore. x)

Oh, and I probably should have said it before but Any Character x Reader is my biggest nOTP. Not that I don’t like it but I can’t project myself, can’t read it as if I was “Reader”. Be it Y/N or the second person POV or whatever way it’s written. I’m always outside/overseeing. Reader is always for me a(n original) character in itself. So I’d rather read a well-written OC than an attempt at a me-(but-not-really-me)-self-insert. The fact that most x Reader ships are straight and allosexual (not on the ace spectrum) doesn’t help. I’d rather have cake platonic fluff.

Unpopular opinion: NOT IMMORTAL. I’ve read immortal!Marco fics and enjoyed them but with the knowledge brought by Wano and the flashbacks, I’m now firmly convinced he isn’t AND wouldn’t be able to “heal” himself of things like the natural consequences of aging. Declining eye-sight for example. Hence the glasses (and not because Oda wanted to make him even hotter, not at all). On the matter I do love this fanart by water-melon, and his retort.

What fandom understandably (because we knew not that much about him until recently) made of him at times. His stern, overworked persona. I mean, I see where it comes from and I do lean into it too but... The last time I rewatched the Marineford’s flashbacks I was so stunned to see him smile. Actually smile. It was like the biggest slap in the face because... Fandom was so different and him so absent of the front stage that what they wrote impacted/changed drastically the way I saw him. And he deserves more happiness. (And god knows that’s not what I’m giving him at the moment ah ah ah)

Oh and no bird behaviour.

Random headcanon: Linked to my unpopular opinions but... He can’t heal his own self-inflicted injuries. There’s so many fic out there using it as an unhealthy outlet/coping mechanism for him and I understand the appeal but yeah. I also headcanon he wouldn’t be able to cure his own flu or cold or more serious disease, like, say, the one Roger had. Sad but I don’t believe in an ultimate devil fruit. Ace’s one got overpowered, Ener’s one found its antidote in Luffy, Teach is still sensitive to haki... I wish we knew more about devil fruits though. Their origin, the mythicals...

His love is deep. Deep, deep, deep. He would move mountains for his loved ones. So it’s pretty much heart-breaking when he’s the one to crumble (but it’s so good).

He reads a lot. He finds comfort in reading. And in modern AU, he’s a trauma surgeon with a pineapple patterned surgery cap.

Edit: Oh and, canon-compliant, Marco and Whitey Bay had a short thing in the past.

Song I associate with him: No theme per se but as I’m writing Choices 2 & Poetry WIP at the moment, I have two. Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youth. Cello fan here, something ominous yet lively. Dark because yes, Achilles is on a roof. I love the English pronunciation of Achilles and there’s bit of French in it too (dark as well). But there’s a hope, at last. And I love the voices juxtaposing for a couple minutes, like angel and devil on your shoulder. It has been on repeat for a whole afternoon while I was writing. The writing was good ahahah

The other one is Rise up by Andra Day. Still dark but beautiful voice and beautiful words. And more hope. It talks of moving mountains too ah.

Oh oh first ask, both for this fanfic ask, and also first ask ever on this blog~ So here we go, I hope you’ll like the answers!

3.   What is your most popular fanfic?

Hmm... If we speak of fic that gets the more hits and kudos on AO3, surprisingly, and not that I like to admit it, my drabbles collection Moments is high ahead. Honestly, I don’t understand why it haves so many hits. What do people find in it? The drabbles/short OS have no link with each other, have often very little plot, and when they have one it’s to make some heavy angst or really crack stuff. Like please, what do you like about it?

Speaking of multi-chap fics, Three Years have currently more hits, but The Magical Dexholders have more kudos even with only 1/3 of all Three Years chapters, and in general, new chapters of The Magical Dexholders have better reception than the ones from Three Years so I think The Magical Dexholders is kinda more popular?

And for OS/TS, Celebi-rities in Distress is the most popular but is followed closely by Don’t Listen to Other’s Confessions Or You’ll End Up As Responsible Than Them and as the last one is not yet complete, I think it will become more popular in the future.

34.  How did you find the magical world of fanfics?

Aha... I’m kinda ashamed about it actually but here we go-

It was like, 7 or 8 years ago? I was starting to spend a lot of time on Internet at this time and I was a lot into Code Lyoko, and as I was looking for information and theories on Skyblog (basically, a French blog site that used a lot by middle schoolers back then, I’m not sure how it is now though) and I fell on a blog with a fic. I had heard of fic before, but never really understood what it means until I read this Code Lyoko fic, that I loved. I then spend months on Skyblog again looking for fics of Code Lyoko and One Piece at first, and then Fairy Tail after. The contents I found on the different blogs were really cursed though. I started to write my first fics around this time, one on Code Lyoko, that I posted on a forum where it ended up being suppressed because write by a “cringy person with a ‘writing’ like username and who don’t update fast enough” and well, let’s say my 12 or 13′s yo confidence did not really take it well. And there was also a crossover fic between Fairy Tail and One Piece, and this one was just awkwardly cringy and with bad self-insert OCs but hey, I was a cringy girl back then.

And then I never let go of fics, and as I started to go on smaller fandoms with not-enough fics in French to my taste, I went to English fics, and now I can hardly read fics in French, except for a very few ones (like one I’d been following for 5 years and which is now at what, nearly 200 chapters, or this Gintama Black Butler crossover fic that is desperately funny and well written).

So here we go, I guess? Ah, I was really cringy back then-

43. Guilty pleasure tropes and scenarios?

Ahahah... ANGST

I swear I have an addiction to angst. Making the characters suffer, both physically and mentally, separate them from their loved ones by any way possibles, making them put into question what they are or what is their relationship with another character, destroy what they are... I love it. And not necessary with and happy ending.

I have also a big, big weakness for Major Character Death. Like I know this character is my fav, but if you write a fic when they die, you can sure I will read it, and I have multiple Major Character Death plots in my head. And also a weakness for Fake Major Character Death, when for some reasons all the characters believe another character is dead, except that the Character is actually alive, and either hiding themselves to protect their love ones from something, or retained prisoners by something and going through a lot of suffering.

Also, love everything imply by separations and notably forced ones, where characters are forced to split way for some reason. Like how they are affected by the separation, what they do to see the others again, and the moment when they finally see each other again... Ah I love those tropes!

Something I’m fond of is also Found Family. Family bonds and relationships are, for me, something way more living and warm than romantic love. And I’m in love with weird friendships, crackships or things like that. Like damn, I know those characters never interacted in the canon, but let’s make them friends, or going through a horrible experiment together, or being relatives. Like I had so much fun writing Y and Sun for the Specord Writing Challenge, or Pearl and Yellow being cousins, and nearly all my AUs have non-canon relationships in it (Like there is this one AU where Blue, Silver, Pearl, and Moon are all adopted siblings and sometimes I just obsess so much on their interactions).

And sometimes, I just like to enjoy super crack fics where everyone is a dumbass, and where nobody knows what exactly they are doing. And, if they are well written and if there is a minimum of a plot behind, I can really enjoy a chat fic. 

Those tropes/scenarios are both the things I love to read and write, but please note that due mainly to a lack of time, there is what, barely 10 or 20% of my stories ideas that make up being written, so there is some tropes/scenarios I did not write a lot for, unfortunately.

This list was kind of long,  but after years of reading fics, I ended up having a large field of things I like. But yeah, basically I’m not hard to get attracted by a fic, as long that you have a plot and that the construction of your sentences is not too weird I can read it. And even for the plots, it can depend, a fluff fic without a plot can work pretty well too (well, except if I get super bored by this one super popular ship, in that case, you have to be an author I trust for me to read it).
