Okay so I have a random ass theory that connects hazbin hotel and helluva boss...

So we all know that Alastor is hungry for power and is "on a leash," meaning he made a deal with someone. I love all the theories that it could be Lillith or Zestial, but.. hear me out.. what if it's Mammon?

Think about it for a second.. Mammon is the embodiment of greed, and Alastor is greedy for power. Not to mention, Mammon has the same bright neon green color scheme. I also believe mammon has the ability to travel through the rings like ozzie can-? So what's stopping them from meeting in the pride ring..

Hear me out.. What if mammon had to go to the pride ring for a 7 deadly sins meeting or something. Mammon might want the power and/or the money Lucifer holds, but he knows overthrowing Lucifer would be too difficult. Alastor wants power. Maybe Alastor ran into Mammon by chance (or fate or on purpose lol) and they made a deal that Al will be granted ultimate power once he finds a way to obtain lucifers/Charlie's power/money and give it to mammon. Alastor is given a bit more power than other overlords have but is still on Mammons leash until he hands over what Mammon wants.

To add to this, what if Mammon has a crystal or something similar to what Ozzie gave Stolas that would allow him to access the living world- What if Alastor wants that crystal/item in order to take control of the living world

I feel like Alastor has a deal with either Lilith or lucifer and I think, personally, it's Lilith because of the way he acts around I'm Lucifer and how he acts when Husk brings up his deal which when his deal him being on a leash is brought up he's very aggressive and does not speak of it and he still could have one with Lucifer but the way he acts around him conflict my beliefs and we see him truly smile whenever he makes a deal with Charlie, so if he has a deal with Lucifer his deal with Charlie could gain him a little bit of power in his deal if he has a deal with Lucifer but the in this case he does have a deal with Lucifer I feel he would be a bit more hesitant to make Lucifer mad by making a deal with his daughter so idk♡

Crack theory of the day! We know Alastor's powers are green, which is a little weird considering his dedication to the color red...

I've seen people theorize that the green power relates to whoever Alastor made a deal with, and I offer you a powerful character with a green color scheme...

And honestly, Alastor making a deal to boost his power out of greed (for power instead of money) doesn't feel insane to me.

okay i’ve actually not heard anyone talk about this idk if anyone else has thought of this BUT

i saw a thing debating if alastors deal with charlie would allow him to force her to marry him, which ig yeah but that’s not gonna happen why would he do that

but it got me thinking, what could he use it for? he showed up to the hotel and immediately tried to make a deal with charlie, he wants to make a deal with her the whole time, it was like a massive victory for him

and he HATES lucifer

and now he has a deal, valid to be redeemed for anything, with the HEIR TO THE THRONE

whether he’s tethered to lilith and doing it on her behalf or if he’s doing it for himself i highly suspect part of season 2 is going to involve him trying to use his deal with charlie to seat himself on the throne of hell

Now, I’m not much of MAKING fan theories, but as a writer myself I can’t help but find certain things curious or take note of how they do them. One of which, was while watching Hazbin Hotel, my first thought about Lilith being missing and Alastor being missing for the same amount of time sounded… well… WAY to on the nose. Its way to obvious.

I mean, I guess it makes sense and it most likely has something to do with Charlie, and logically speaking, it couldn’t have been from someone lower in the hierarchy system. It HAD to be from someone that is ABOVE the overlords and that leaves little options.

The Ars Goetia is mostly snobbish, so I don’t think most would care, so that only leaves Charlie, Lilith and the other sins. From what we have seen and has been implied, most (2, 4?) of the sins are at least decent enough people, and Mammon doesn’t do charity (plus there is obviously some conflict between him and Lucifer), so I doubt he would be involved.

But then it hit me like a ton of bricks, what if it was a SIN that made a deal with Alastor? NOT Lilith, and that has been a red herring all along? A sin is still high enough to be almost on the top and is definitely on top of the overlords and the Ars Goetia.

But who? Well, the only sin we actually have next to no info on, the sin which actually has a particular color associated with it, a color that is seen when Alastor uses his powers. Green, the color of ENVY. Plus, tentacles? Like, Leviathan? Kinda on the nose if you think about it.

After that thought, a lot of other things actually started to click. When Alastor first met Lucifer, he was totally irked, and when interacting he was riling him up as to show him how much better of a Dad he is compared to Lucifer, he was trying to make Lucifer JEALOUS. Not to mention that envious people sometimes try to keep a front, they are all smiles in front of you but they resent you behind closed doors. Another little detail I noticed, is that Lucifer has a photo of what MIGHT be said sin in his office, but we can’t confirm.

While all these made some sort of sense, the only things I couldn’t click where the why? What could Alastor had made a deal of if it was with Leviathan? To what purpose? The only things I could think of were 2.

The first came back to Lilith, in which she had something on Leviathan, so to not get her own hands dirty, she kinda “outsourced” the deal. Meaning she made Leviathan make a deal with Alastor in his moment of need, maybe to protect the hotel or something. But then, why wait seven years for him to finally comply with his part? Not to mention there are other holes to this one. Like, was Charlie working on the Hotel all the way back then? Why outsorce it? Protect her from WHAT? Among others. You might think that’s unnecessarily complicated, but a lot of people do this to prevent things going back to them. Think, Strangers in a Train.

The other was that it was out of some sort of spite Lev has against Lucifer, he pretends to be his friend to his face but behind his back he hates him with a passion. So he went after his daughter to hurt him the most, and sent Alastor to make sure the hotel fails since he is already a sadist. But this doesn’t make total sense either. So I got stumped again.

Was it Lilith that made the deal? Lev? Lilith though Lev? Or some other unknown third party all together? I heard of a character named Roo, but I don’t think it’s her.

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.

Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone

He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT

He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him

and now this.

Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.

Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.
