The physical appearance of the other man was... alarming, to say the least.

Here before him stood a man that looked human, save for the fact that half of his body looked as though it had been infected by something. It reminded him of what a Flood combat form tended to look like - though the anatomy was off. Instead of decaying, putrid olive-green flesh, there were thick brown chitinous plates interwoven with purple flesh. Aside from the fact that his eyes glowed like fire, half of his face had holes in it, and the infested arm... he looked like a relatively normal human being.

Still, John kept his distance. Just to be safe.

"I'm told that I get talked about a lot." A small jab at humor - John's was notoriously dry. "But yes. I've seen a lot in my time as a Spartan."

Insurrectionists. The Covenant. The Flood. The Forerunners. Oh yes, he had seen a lot.

A Tale of Two Alexeis

So....Stranger Things takes place in the 80s, so references to 80s things are par the course...but Season 3 had an ill fated Alexei who met an unfortunate demise in a VERY similar way to another fictional Alexei.

Okay, so in Stranger Things Season 3, Alexei is shot at point blank range in the chest while being called a “traitor” and he bleeds out on the ground and dies.

For those of you who are like me and spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about fictional Alexeis...this feels awfully similar....

Enter the OG fictional Alexei, Alexei Stukov from Starcraft.  This man was shot point blank in the chest while being called a “traitor” and bleeding out on the ground.

Of course...Starcraft Alexei didn’t get permadead....in fact, he got infested by the Zerg and showed up in the sequel...so I can’t help but wonder if Stranger Things Alexei will make a similar reappearance.

Regardless....watch out, Fictional Alexeis.
