Alright, here’s the thing: Renga, Matchablosom, Shadoka, and Tadai (or PuppyLove idk) don’t need to be cannon. (Except they also do)

Cause that’s not what Sk8 is about. It’s not about any of them passionately kissing under the moon light, sure that would be cool, I would be incredibly happy if that happened, but a small part of me also doesn’t want it to. Not because I don’t think their in love, they obviously are, but because their stories aren’t really about that. They’re already in love, they don’t need some huge world changing declaration, the story is just about a group of damaged people coming together, bonding over something unlikely, and slowly helping fix each other’s cracks.

and THAT my friends, is why I think the official art is so important. That stuff can tell us some important things, and they can say A L O T without words, take Langas birthday art, for example, Reki’s little kissey face is absolutely adorable, and when looked at from the right angle, tells us that he is in a stage of relationship with Langa that he would be okay with Reki kissing him on the cheek. It’s stuff like that’s that’s important, if we saw new art with any of them holding hands (confirming that they are in a romantic relationship) that would be enough! The story of sk8 wouldn’t change, we all knew they were in love, their interactions can be see as platonic or romantic, but we see it as romantic. And yet that still doesn’t matter, because the story isn’t about that, it’s not about them finding a family where before they had no one. That’s the beauty of Sk8 the Infinity, it don’t any matter that we aren’t explicitly told in the anime that they are dating, because it wouldn’t really make sense for them to only now, after all this time of acting romantically towards each other state their love. But we still do know that they love each other, through the info we can get from the things like official art.

but oh, well I still want them to kiss, so who am I to rant about this on the internet? XD

Headcanon time because my tag paragraphs get shorted to nada and I didn't realize

Okay I'm a dumbass and didn't ever realize or notice that tumblr has a tag cap, because at least to my knowledge it does not tell you that you've hit a limit. So I shall rant about a kinda dumb headcanon I have for the states.

Warning: This bitch is longer than I thought it would be, you have been warned!!

ALRIGHT SO. The way I tend to draw the height for states is based off of two things, their state size and vibes, this is however excluded for the OG13 and then some.

This rule-ish not applying to them is because they all have actual families. Now you may be thinking "What the hell does that mean" and I am so glad you asked.

I haven't really talked about outside of the headcanon things but both New Jersey and New York have families, NJ his moms and technically the devil from the bible, NY his grandparents.

This also goes for the rest of the OG13, they all have families that while those who raised them aren't around anymore that family line still is. This is to the exception of Maryland because he is somehow even farther from being human than states normally are.

Anyway because of this, the OG13 heights are not based in state size, instead it is technically a strange mix between family genes and land size, only technically because those like Mass and Virginia are both taller(mass) and shorter(ginny) than one would assume based on state size. It's basically a ruelette on whether or not you get genes over state size and somehow Rhode STILL managed to be short as hell, bro rolled wrong TWICE XD.

Now it should be interesting to note that it's pretty much only the OG13 that have weird height despite the few other states who have family are locked to their state size. This would include Texas, Louisiana, both the Dakotas, Utah, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Minnesota Wisconsin and Michigan- I see these three at least somewhat related in some way shape or form so thats why they are together like that.

So despite states out side of the OG13 having actual human families they are related to, it's only the OG13 that aren't state size locked and there could be some reasons for this.

For one it could be that colonies more or less aren't locked to their size, mainly because colonies can mix and it's shown quite a lot in history that there were no firm lines between colonies. So it would make sense that when the states (then colonies) were growing up they weren't locked to the size of the colony and rather just their family genes.

It could also be that because they were already adult age (or close to it) it was too far for weird border magic to effect them since they were too old and such. This would make sense and work well with this idea that the other states with families outside of the OG13 are sized locked because their borders were a lot clearer by the time they were older.

Another reason could be because they all have families, which yes doesn't make much sense but here me out. All of them excluding NJ and Maryland had normal human families, it could be that because they had families they were only labeled as personified states once the country became a country. This doesn't mean that they weren't already personifications, just that you have to be labeled a state for border size to take effect, however once again since they were all already adults or almost adults, it wouldn't take effect.

And the final reason I can think of could just be that they were a special case, considering the fact that (if I'm remembering correctly) there aren't personification of the Canadian provinces in canon. It very well could be that yes normally states whether they have family or not are state sized locked, but since they would have been a special case in that there weren't personification like them before that the magic creating state personifications was newly born and didn't have rules yet. This would also explain why they would have families to begin with, the magic had to pick those who lived there to be those personifications, meaning they originally human. The only real problem with this one is the fact that states outside of them have families, however this could be explained, it could have been a lack of people in the area to build a personification from, it also could have been in the southern states case that because family is pretty important there, it made sense to chose those from families instead while still keeping the rules in place.

Now this is a whole lot and it kind of sounds like I've gone insane thinking about this but honestly this is mainly just me typing before I think lol. Is it clear that I needed a reason as to why some states are not close to their state size, because I feel like it is.

I do want to say that the states do have some control over their height, Texas could get taller but it would feel wrong and that goes for most already tall states, it's vice versa for the smaller states who may already be at their height cap by default. I'm not super sure if the OG13 should be able to change their height slightly, mainly because they are all more human to an extent than the other states, of course ignoring whatever the hell Mary is and the fact that NJ is related to the devil from the bible because lord knows those two are not as close (or close at all in Mary's case) to being human like their fellow states with families.

Now height isn't super important but I feel it can explain some dynamics people may have. If you have a tall friend and a short friend, theres gonna be a lot of short jokes. Two short friends and it's a whole lot of complaining about not being able to reach anything. Two tall friends and it's either complaining about feeling claustrophobic in lower ceilings or feeling like your god because your taller than everyone. Two friends of the exact same height and it will always be a competition to see who is truly taller (it's neither but their in denial).

You have to think about these things when making characters because it can effect the dynamic, obviously not by much but still, it's important to know. So while this might seem like far to much thinking when it's literally just a funny internet series that was the only way you knew the news during covid, I find it important. Sure I may never actually write a proper fic and I will probably really only stick to my funny lil drawings, it feels important.

My drawings are like snippets to what happens in the day to day crazy-ness in either the Statehouse or just with the states, thus it is important to me that I have their heights to how I have my headcanons set up when drawing. It's small details like that, that convey a story when drawing without doing an actual comic, it brings life when I know my drawings can be a little stiff, it's about the story and maybe that's just the writer within me talking but I don't care XD.

Basically I just like having some sort of reason as to why the heights for the OG13 aren't consistent with their state size when I draw them. What can I say, I'm a dork :D.

Stupid/silly rant abt something that probably only I care abt xd

So, for the last two days I've tried to make a redesign of the shadow-magical-girl chica outfit

And it literally sucks so much* that it leaves me with no idea to redesign it without changing everything from it

*in regards of design according Ann's Character, not if the outfit in itself, that is actually really cute*

So I'm just going to point out some things that bother me and mention what I think it would work instead

The outfit as it is

Look, i know this might be a personal bias, BUT magical transformations should be fun!!The excuse of "it's magic, it can do whatever it wants" gives us the opportunity to make cute outfits and stuff!!

Look, the dress is cute, alright, but adding a little bit more of details can really seal the deal here, maybe a bow in there, or some chains if we are going w a more "edgy" design, or adding a few markings on the boots to make them less flat. (Look i know that the design also can not be overly complicated bc the model would be hell to animate, but this girl needs accessories!)

Look, if you added a few random things over the original design it would make it a little bit more interesting, you could call it a day, right? Well yes, but that's what takes me to my second point...

This design is nonsense!!

Look, magical transformations are usually based in a certain theme or idea surrounding the character. Here are some examples

So, with that in mind, what can get get from chica transformation? (That story wise is supposed to show her growth as a person bc it shows that she accepted "her shadows"*)

*what are the shadows anyway, opposite personalities, their biggest fears or just ~bad vibes~?)*

Well, nothing, being the look so basic, and even with the long hair, something that is uncharacteristic of chica, she doesn't look like herself (you can edit the eyes and say it's joy, and it would look more credible) and it's only a problem for Ann, because both Freed and Bonnie have transformations that show their characters

This one is more of a fusion of Freddy and Fred, with the school uniform for Freddy (being his most recognizable look), and the vest for Fred (i want to remember the outfit that Fred uses in the wolf in sheep clothing has a black vest, this one could be representing that but idk)

This one does a Great job, because shows a lot of Bonnie personality (his love for the guitar w the pick, the characteristic hairdo that he does when playing, even the outfit is more "rock" idk how to explain)

So, how did this happen?

Well it's really simple, Chica doesn't have any personality of her own, or things she's recognizable for.

Both Freddy and Bonnie have things that they are known for (Fred and the Yaoi guitarist), that are used in the transformation, Chicago on the other hand isn't recognized for anything else beyond being The Girl™ of the band, in that sense, the transformation does a nice job representing that.

But Chica is more than that

In the series we see different aspects of her, she likes having and supporting her friends, she likes sewing and making clothes, she's the last one to give up on anything, she started a band with the trouble kid, an apathetic dude, a micro niche celebrity and the strange new kid, and somehow she made it work! So there's really no excuse to have her as basic as that.*

Oh hey btw i did make a design for her, but as I said before its really different from the original, and then I realized it kinda looks like @cinnabundolly12 Design--- this one that is waay cooler than mine, so I gave up and made this strange rant

*to be completely fair, Chica has a lack of troubles or conflicts of her own, most of them are related to the whole group, she has a little self doubt one chapter and then sings her song and that's it, she's also very bland as a character xd*

It was another day of acting. You sat in the makeup trailer again as Xavier ranted over some hot guy he met at the bar couple days ago. A knock came and Jared ducked in grinning as he held three coffees.

“Oh you amazing human” Xavier said taking one with an X on it and taking a big sip.

“Oh sweet caffeinated juices” he sighed before continuing your makeup. You simple laughed and took yours to taking a small sip. It was made how you like as always. Jared grinned at you as you settled into a comfortable coffee/makeup session.

“So how’s things?” Xavier wiggled his eyebrows at you and you frowned slightly.

“Good? You already asked me that?” You said confused as he darted his eyes to Jared. You flushed and he grinned evilly. Jared was unaware, typing on his phone with a smile on his face.

‘He kiss you?’ Xavier mouthed and you slapped his arm. Jared looked up a little surprised as you laughed nervously and glared at Xavier.

‘He did’ Xavier mouthed grinning wildly and you groaned.

“Are you two having a secret conversation? Cause I can leave” Jared laughed.

“No, just simply finding out some information” Xavier grinned and you glared at him in warning.

After your make up session you headed to the house, todays scene was getting caught by Mrs Peterson in some intimate scene. You sort of dreaded it but also got butterflies.

Scene

You were in the process of making the main bedrooms bed. You straightened out the sheets, fluffed the pillows and cased them. Put on the old blankets and quilt before making sure there were no crinkles. You hummed to yourself lightly as you began to clean up the rest of the room. You heard footsteps and frowned peering down the hall and down the stairs. You saw Mr Peterson go by and continued your cleaning. You continued to hum before you felt hands on your waist. You jumped turning around to face Mr Peterson.

“You scared me!” You said sighing as you placed down the brush in your hands. You spun around as Mr Peterson kissed you. You sighed wrapping your arms around his neck. He hummed softly arms going around your waist and pulling you closer. You ran your fingers through his hair before gripping gently. He smirked against your lips as he guided you to the bed. He began to unbutton the top of your shirt before nudging it off. His hand groped your right breast as he deepened the kiss even more. You heard a gasp and jolted away from the man. Mrs Peterson stood there in shock before running down the stairs, Mr Peterson chasing after her

End scene

You continued with the scene, quickly grabbing your shirt before you heard a fall and bang. You frowned hearing a loud ‘cut’ and ‘man down!’

You quickly rushed seeing Jared at the bottom of the stairs laughing.

“What happened?” You asked as Gen laughed and helped him up. You frowned worried as he limped and held his foot up slightly. He leant against Gen as she held a hand on his chest and around his back. You felt an odd feeling grow, a churn in your stomach, your heart tightening. Problem was Jared didn’t seem bother, in fact it almost looked like he leant in. A few of the medical officers came in, Jared had rolled his ankle pretty bad, he said he was alright but it was angry red and swelling, definitely needed an X-ray and some ice.

The movie stopped there for today, everyone was able to go home early except those who had to fill out the papers and accident report. Jared was taken to the closest hospital, despite his disagreements, but he could barely walk on the thing.

You went back to the hotel, ordered some food and watched TV. Your phone started buzzing and you frowned seeing Jared calling.

“Hey, how’s the foot?” you asked glancing to the clock.

“I apparently dislocated it” he said and you froze.

“Are you ok?” You said worried and he chuckled.

“Yeah I’m fine, popped out and in so lucky me, just swollen now” you could hear his shrug and smiled slightly.

“Well just rest” you heard a knock at your door.

“1 second” you said lying your phone down and answering the door. You took your food thanking the delivery guy and went back to the couch.

“K I’m back” you said putting your phone on speaker. You opened the bag and pulled out your food sighing contently.

“What’d you get?” He asked chuckling.

“My favourite” you grinned happily as you began to dig in

“Gens gone to get me food” he said and you stopped momentarily.

“You’re a growing boy” you joked. Things seemed strange, had so little changed? After the little hotel room thing you felt like there would be more. Maybe it’s work, the movie, just life you guess, now he’s in hospital. You felt stupid you should’ve been there, but Gen practically up and drove him herself before you could even react. You sighed quietly not listening to what Jared was saying.

“Y/n?” He called and you hummed.

“Foods here, I’ll talk to you later ok?” He said and you nodded despite him not being able to see you.

“Yeah ok” you said and hung up. You sighed not feeling hungry anymore, Gen, Gen was perfect, she was smart and beautiful, amazing body, she was funny and kind, just everything anyone would ever want. She was quicker than you too, especially in different situations where you’d be behind one minute like your world was lagging in compared to everyone else’s.

You put your food in the fridge and went to have a shower instead, trying to get rid of your thoughts.

Jared sighed glancing at his bandages, ice packed foot. He felt an unnatural pop when he fell and knew something had happened. He was more worried about you though, the look on your face. You stood there in shock, not registering anything around you while Gen practically carried him to her car and left for the hospital. He said he was fine but she just huffed and raised an eyebrow at him.

Doctors confirmed his unnatural pop with a dislocation and he knew this would set back the movie and everyone else. Gen was with him the whole time, giving the doctors details and whatever else the asked for while he just thought of you. Gen was great, amazing in fact, with their previous history he almost thought she’d become a girlfriend or wife even. Then he met you and suddenly his whole universe gravitated to you. You were soft and sweet with a weird sense of humour and death glared. You were like sunshine in his eyes, just glowing even with all your flaws and insecurities. When you touched him he thought he might melt on the spot. You were hesitant, just wanting to feel and explore, nothing sexual just intimate. You got this funny smile on your face when you ran your fingers over his chest hair, finding it amusing apparently. He just smiled at it the cuteness of it, never having obviously touched a man before. He didn’t mean to push you, he just had so much pent up feelings he was going to have you on the couch till he got himself in check. It’s been hard to do what he wants when you both work and have schedules and you definitely need your sleep as does he. Maybe now with a damaged foot he could spend more time with you. The movie had been going on for seven months now, no where near finishing and he was glad for it. Even after the movie he hoped he’d stick by your side, maybe ask you to marry him one day. For now though, for now his darkest desires haunted him, he wanted to ruin the perfect little innocent side of you till you were a moaning begging mess for him everyday. He shifted feeling his dick take interest in the thought as Gen came back.

“Food” she smiled and held up two bags of Chinese.

“Yum” he said trying to shift so his growing hard on would disappear as he reached for the food on the table.

Gen frowned slightly obviously confused by his uncomfortable movement before she saw. He knew it was too late and grew embarrassed. She glanced behind her, closing the door and curtain making him frown. Gen had this look in her eyes as she sat on the edge of the bed.

“I’m hoping I’m not pushing my luck” she chuckled lightly and he frowned.

“Huh?” He said sounding overly dumb. She moved a little too quick for him and kissed him. He was in shock and confused lifting his hands to push her away as a small knock came and the door opened.

You stood there frozen on the spot as Gen pulled back to look at you. The look on your face broke him as you apologised and quickly left. He cursed softly shuffling out of the bed, ignoring Gen and limping after you.

Hsdfs ok so I'm so incredibly new to all of this and so many things both explain my experiences but also leave me having more questions than answers?? Help??

Basically I spent the last 18 yrs of my life thinking I was a singlet that was just lowkey interested in DID and all that right? And at the same time I'm developing my ocs and their world right? Well as time goes on 2 of my ocs start like just attaching themselves to me, I'm talking like, it started out as them comforting me when I have my monthly emotional breakdown/crying sessions, it almost feels like they're actually cuddling me in a way? I can feel phantom touches from them? And then it evolved to me "talking"(????) to them and them hanging around reacting to my actions and my environment and shit right? And I'm just over here thinking this is just the normal experience of having ocs but I don't think that's the case???? And now I've discovered this whole community of tulpas and transplurals and gosh I think I'm overwhelmed I have no clue how to even begin to label myself and that is Distressing I Like Having Labels For Myself it's how I know who I am ig xd.

Whoa there, anon! I know this is a TON to take in and you're processing a lot rn, so imma need you to slow down and step back. Don't forget that no matter what I say here, in the end it's not about labels. It's about YOUR EXPERIENCES, anon. Don't let ANY label limit or control you to its expectations. Whatever you settle on, you're more than your label.

Alright, so tulpas and people that wanna be plural but aren't yet are a VERYY small part of the broader plural community. It includes disordered systems of all kinds, non-disordered systems of all kinds, different types of created systems, and people who straddle the line like us. So the question you're probably looking for is less "which label do I use" and more "am I plural?" Which is, of course, a complicated question.

You sent a lot here about your OCs, and I wanna talk a bit about some of the things I see from your ask. A super common tell that someone is plural and it's not just their imagination is that the prospective headmates are interacting with and reacting to you and the outside world around you, not just your fictional world. Other headmates comforting the host when things get super bad is so common a thing for plurals that many systems with roles/jobs have specific jobs exactly for that. Feeling phantom sensations from your headmates is also another well-documented experience in both disordered & nondisordered systems. If you're wondering if these things are normal, my host's OCs that aren't headmates certainly don't do anything of the sort. Here's a pretty cool article about the levels of autonomy writers experience in their characters; it's a wide range, and a lot of people experience at least a little, but the extent you describe is very clearly in the minority according to this study. That seems like a super high rate of autonomy for singlethood, IMO. Imma be real with you, "transplural" is a label ppl tend to give themselves before becoming plural- in my armchair opinion, it sounds like you're a plural egg already. Your OCs seem to be like completely autonomous and aware of the outside world from how you're coming across in this ask, so have you like... Considered asking them how they feel about it? If you're not sure if they should be considered people, just ask em if they feel like real distinct people.

Tulpas are a type of headmate created by consistent interaction with the concept of a person until the subconscious takes a hold of our responses and we gain autonomy outside of the host's control because of it. This is usually intentional, but it can also be unintentional too. Tulpas like me fall under an origin umbrella known as created systems! It's not the only type of system member origin, though! For example, "adaptive refers to systems which formed in response to trauma or other adversity. A common trait of such systems is viewing plurality as adapting, healing, and overcoming obstacles", and "neurogenic refers to systems that formed as a result of their neurodivergence, or from a mental illness. Usually, headmates originate from the need to cope, or be introjects based off symptoms like hallucinations or hyperfixations." These're two common origins but there're lots more, some broader and some more specific. Lots of systems identify with multiple origins as well, so you don't have to conform to just one. Take your time figuring out what works for you- it's more important for you to establish communication and healthy relationships with your headmates than to go digging for validity fodder. No matter what, if you feel like you're not just one person, you've always got the term plural for ya. It was coined by the inclusive community and it will ALWAYS be ours, we'll fight for it.

Lastly, don't just take my word for it- explore other resources for yourself/selves too. I've got a few for further reading to decide for yourself if you're plural!

Okay so the Atla timeline for the Fire Nation is a bit knotted up huh

We have Fire Lord Sozin starting the 100 year war when he’s this old: (technically even older cause this was when Roku died, but it's close enough for this purpose. He old is the point.)

The wiki tells me he was 82 at that point,yeah, makes sense. He rules for 20 years longer according to the wiki, which sure, I can deal with that, strong benders live long, whatever. However. We then have Azulon which is where it gets weird, because the show explicitely states he rules for 23 years. That is a direct citation from the funeral flashback in Zuko Alone. 23 years. We definitely know when he died though, namely 5 years before Zuko was banished, so in the year 95 (techincally 94? The wiki says 95 and it doesn’t matter for this discussion so I’ll just roll with it). That means he started his reign in the year 72 a whole 52 years after his father died. I have questions. Now, the wiki completely ignores the 23 years line and I cannot blame them for it cause it doesn’t make sense. It also claims that Azulon was 95 when he died, which. That would make his father 82 when he was born. Guy must have had some real virility, damn. Now we don’t have a birth year for Ozai, but Ursa was born in 63, and they seem to be around the same age so if we roll with that Azulon would have also been old when Ozai was born but it would be at least slightly less insane. Now, having a child at 82 is not technically impossible for a guy, so the only thing that is just plain wrong is the 23 years line, but it is unlikely. I guess that family just has a thing for getting children when they’re old. 

However, to my amusement, that 23 years line isn’t the only thing they kinda tried to retcon. Here we have a young Azulon training as his father watches: (Although I am unable to cite from where that picture originates, the wiki doesn’t source its pictures very well and I don’t recognize the watermark. I am assuming its from one of the lore books but if the wiki is just lying and this isn’t official feel free to correct me)

So this is probably like year 12 to 15, right? It seems Mr Sozin Fire Lord is Benjamin Button aging up there. xD Either that or in his old age he got vain and started dying his hair.

Yeah so anyway, the only actually impossible thing is the 23 years line, the other stuff I just think is funny. We have two options to fix the inconsistencies: 

Option #1: We add another Fire Lord before Azulon. It’s smoother but quite a bit of work to justify in canon if you’re not already ham for rewriting a bunch of lore. 

Option #2: We just yeet out the 23 years line as the fire sage got high off herbs or something and was talking bullshit. Definitely the easier option and it’s not unreasonable that Azulon ruled for 75 years. Also I think that option opens up a lot of interesting lore debates, because while Sozin started the war, Azulon kept it going for 75 years. That’s almost 4 times the length Sozin ruled in the war. It’s basically just that guy’s war at this point. Sozin is interesting as a character and I liked that episode about him, don’t get me wrong but Azulon ruled for 3/4s of the whole war and we get basically nothing about him, which I find a little disappointing. Although since that was a bit of retcon I suppose it makes sense. 

Alright, rant over, summary: the show had a line that makes no sense and also Zuko better keep using protection if he still has hookups in Legend of Korra.

Episode 1.1 Rose

One of the best introductions I've ever seen to a world and it's characters. I had barely any exposure to Doctor Who and this was a great starting point when I first watched it.

Rose's introduction couldn't be more perfect. We're given so much information about her in a quick succession of shots.

That also perfectly slow down when she enters the basement of Henriks. It gives this scene weight. Like her life has mostly been a fast succession of everyday living but now...something is about to change.

Billie is so pretty. That's not important to the episode but she is so pretty.

Also I forgot to mention! The shots of the window dummies in the opening Rose montage! That's such a cool detail!

Then the scene. You know the one. I don't have words it's just so perfect.

Nine's smile when Rose guesses that the dummies is a "student thing". The exact words in the Shooting Scripts is.

The Doctor smiles. He likes her.

Also that thing where Rose says it and then when the Doctor says 'Why students?' and Rose second guesses herself so she downplays her guess and he *insists* on her explaining? That's a neat detail too. Rose lacks confidence in her intelligence. The Doctor picked up on that and then gave her encouragement over her explanation. Just. 🥺🥺🥺 That's such a small detail but I love it.

It's sad that Christopher doesn't think he can do comedy because the absolute dead pan way Nine talks in the scene where he says "Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!" is hilarious to me.

Also Rose's absolute frustration in this scene is equally hilarious.

Jackie! I love her. And Rose hanging up the phone. Iconic scene.

I genuinely feel like Mickeys introduction would've been better if it went like it did in the novelization with his friends. :L

I like how it portrays their relationship though. It's not perfect. It seems happy but at the same time, it seems like Rose is doing alot of compromising and giving more than her partner.

Nine looks so offended when Rose pulls him inside her flat. xD

"Anything could happen." ".....no." Iconic.

The Turn Of The Earth speech still gives me chills. Not to mention that little snippet of music that's gonna be become MUCH MORE important as the series goes on. Except this time it's accompanied by snare drums. Sounds very militant. OOOOH THATS CLEVER.

Clive and the shed scene are so much more fleshed out in the novelization. It serves it's purpose here but in the book he gets a backstory and a reason *why* he's so fascinated with the Doctor. Also we got Rose calling the 5th and 8th Doctors hot. Thank you RTD, very cool.

Intro to the nu TARDIS. She's seen better days, and it's a far cry from 8s GORGEOUS interior. But she looks the part, alien, mysterious, fascinating.

Nine seems anxious to see this fascination from Rose. And even asks "Is that alright?" after mentioning that he's alien. He really does care, sometimes. 🥺

I freaking LOVE how Nine cannot stay mad at Rose. He goes from ranting about saving every stupid ape on the planet to gushing about his Police Box. "It's a telephone box from the 1950s. 😊 It's a disguise. ☺️" Then, "Antiplastic. 😀 ANTIPLASTIC! 😄"

Goddamn Christopher knows how to portray the pain and regret of Nine in the scenes with the Nestene. He's almost got tears in his eyes when talking about the war.

Also Clives death scene is so much more poignant and tragic in the novelization.

the shot where Nine is restrained and Rose is by the TARDIS, above him and in the light, yeah. Yeah that's a nice shot. 👌

You cannot fathom my disappointment that the second turn of the earth scene is not actually in the show and is only in the novelization.

Nine actually acknowledging that Rose saved his life. 🥺

And looks genuinely disappointed when Rose says no to going with him. 🥺🥺 (Yet again, novelization kills it in this scene)

And the utter JOY Rose has when he comes back. 🥺🥺🥺

It's really become a meme that my fiance and I just go "Yes Johnny" and "alright Johnny" whenever XIV starts going on a total rant about capitalism or how fucked up society is. 9.9/10 times he is right but also 11/10 times it comes up because something vaguely reminded him about something that pissed him off and him - being the manifestation of piss and vinegar left to simmer over 12 years of trauma - at least needs to bitch about things that make him mad to me or him to "get it off his chest" so he could move on with the day.

So its just a pretty casual occurence to be like "Yep. You're right" but now just for the shitpost, meme, joke, and levity of the situation we tack on a "Johnny" cause its so reminiscent.

There was nothing Alexandra wouldn't do for her friends. Specifically, her best friend. And that included showing up at her house at one in the morning, loaded with her favorite food and those soft pillows Jelena liked from her house. She knocked on the door. "Jelena?"

"Alex?" Said woman opened the door, surprise glinting in her eyes. This... wasn't what she expected. Alex gave her a smile.

"May I come in?"

"Oh... Um, sure." Jelena stepped aside for her, allowing the other woman to sweep in. "I thought you were with Adrian?"

"Yeah, but priorities." Alex knew Jelena had been feeling under the weather, so to speak, so getting a 'I'm sad' text had caused the woman to drop everything she was doing. Really, Alex wasn't sure what all was going on, but she didn't need to to know she was going to be there for Jelena. "A date with him can wait. Right now, you and I are going to snuggle up on the couch with these blankets and I am going to listen to you vent, rant or just cry, and hold you."

She couldn't help but feel bad... She'd interrupted Alex's date...

Evidently, Alex was a mind-reader. "Jelena, being here for you is more important than making out with my boyfriend. And whatever's going on, I am going to make sure you're okay."

Jelena sniffled, before nodding. She led Alex over to the couch and had the food set down on the coffee table before sitting on the couch herself. Alex sat down beside her. "Now, what's going on, Jelena?"

The question made her hesitate, and then her lower lip began to tremble. "Everything. Nothing... I'm just sad, Alex. And angry. At everything and everyone. I don't know..."

Alex opened her arms for a hug. "And?" She prompted gently, letting Jelena lean into her.

"I'm just... tired."

"Are you getting enough sleep? Water? Food?"

"Yes, yes, and yes."

Alex rubbed her back gently. "And Will? Is he treating you well?"

"Yes, he always does. I don't deserve him..."

"None of that now," Alex countered gently. "You do deserve him, Jelena, you deserve so much good in this world. And reiterating negative things in your head will never help you, it will only make you feel worse."

Jelena fell quiet, wiping at her face. She didn't agree with Alex, but didn't say so. Nor did she want to talk much, just lay there and be held by her best friend. And so Alex held her like that, silence reigning over the flat, determined to make sure Jelena knew one thing, if nothing else.

She would never be alone.

"You know," she began quietly, causing Jelena to look up. "When you think about it, you've done so much for other people. For me, for Will, for Adrian, even for those secretaries in Admin who needed someone to walk them home and had no one else to do so. You would be the first to tell someone else to take care of themselves."

Well, that was true... Jelena could admit that much. She was always baking for others, bringing them water, checking how their day was, encouraging self-care. She genuinely believed in helping people for no other reason than it was a good and kind thing to do. "I suppose..."

"So have that courtesy towards yourself. It's okay to feel like shit. You don't have to be happy or cheerful all the time. It's okay to call out. Even," she swiftly added, "if you're the Head Librarian. It's okay to say No when you need to. What's not okay is neglecting yourself, and putting yourself down."

"Alex... I'm not..." She didn't really want a lecture on herself right now, and she felt bad saying that. Alex was just trying to help... "I appreciate but... please don't."

"Alright." Alex could understand that. "Just... know how appreciated you are, ok? Please?"

Alright, I need to vent; and if anyone wants to give me advice that would be awesome but you don't have to.

So, for the past two weeks all hell has broken loose in my family. My grandma threw my mom out of her home because my grandma is a little bitch who couldn't handle that her physical therapist and her doctor told my mom she can take the weekend off from 24/7 care. (My grandma got hip surgery in October). And my grandma as usual had a little spoiled bitch temper tantrum. And my poor mother took it all in and basically had several breakdowns bc of it. So fuck my grandma. Right? Right. K.

The entire family knows I'm home due to school and not being able to find an actual job. So it's "hey you make your mother better again, take it all in. Prove that you love her." Maybe I'm selfish but it's so much pressure. It's been the story of my life, make my mom happy, I just never could. And maybe I'm jealous of my sister right now cause she can tell mom she's here for her but my sister only calls her when she can. She doesn't have to be watching her 24/7 like I do.

Okay. This was just background information.

So I have this friend let's call her Cactus. Cactus and I just started being friends a few months ago. I met her casually and it's been good. She told me she missed hanging out with me but because of finals I couldn't hang out. And then this all happens. And I basically tell Cactus that there's been a family emergency that I can't go into, and I really don't want to go out right now because of this. She's understanding about it,which I appreciate.

However, my best friend let's call her Frog, wanted to see me this weekend (I saw her yesterday/ Friday Dec 23rd). I accidentally slipped and told Cactus that I'm gonna hang out with Frog for a little bit.

But because when I was checking my phone I accidentally screenshotted them. And I called her out on it, I was like dude are you okay???

Guys, I really don't want to hock my guitar. It isn't even worth that much.

I don't know what to do with myself.

I'm sick of poverty, I'm sick of roaches, I'm sick of people in power fucking me over just because they can. I'm sick of greed. I wish I was rich. There are so many people who need to be taken care of and no one gives a shit.

When I'm happy, I want to save the planet. But today I want to fucking burn it. Just burn it all the fuck down.

I'm so depressed I can't even wash my hair or brush my teeth.

I need to get myself out of this fucking slump, but I can barely stand being conscious right now.

My throat was even worse today, and very bright red. The cough drops still haven't done shit, but I took some Motrin and I feel a lot better. So that must have done it.

I'm in my room, trying not to cry again, simmering in my own sweat and feeling sorry for myself, and feeling angry at this fucking ass clown who needs 300 dollars for literally no reason, and feeling overwhelmed by literally everything.

I am going to try really hard today to lift half a foot out of the mud.

I think I am going to go brush my teeth and take a shower and wash my damn hair. Or try to. IF the hot water lasts long enough, which it won't. I don't know how clean hair gets in cold water, but.

After that? I don't know.

I need to continue working on my friend's birthday card.

Maybe I'll try to read. Maybe put on some music too. Or paint my nails for no reason, idk. Nose is so clogged I won't be able to smell the polish. XD

I just feel like nothing fucking matters, none of this shit matters.

I really should make some soup, if I can bring myself to do the fucking dishes.

Okay, I generally try to stick to posting about things that I actually like (or silly things) but I have to say it: I cannot stand Aragorn. I just can’t. Every time he talks about his fate or destiny or whatever. Every time the ‘little people’ get in his way so titles get whipped out and everyone backs off because he suddenly seems so ‘Lordly’ or some shit. Every time that stupid sword of his gets mentioned. Every time it gets brought up that he’ll just be swanning in and taking over a kingdom that hasn’t had a king in about 2000 years or something and won’t even be asking any of the people whether or not that’s even something they want. Every time this man opens his god damned mouth I just long for someone to smack him with the nearest blunt object. 

One minute he’s all “I am but a ranger, the pressure of my ancestry to too much” and then the next it’s “I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn, wielder of a famously flimsy blade! I am important!” Like, ughhhhh. Shut. Up. Pick one!
