can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

Any critter still using gills to breathe on land is good with me. By which I mean, they're creatures where it's clear to see the transition from being a water dweller to a land dweller and idk that sparks joy for me. I just love when the use of body parts change. I haven't seen enough species or morphotypes to have a solid opinion on which I like best but anything cute and flat like the Greek shield isopods appeal to me 🖤

I said this weekend and sniffles be damned I'm slappin' Polly Lore™ down this weekend!

Introducing LV10 Polly! AKA Jan Went Edgy/Cringe

Based on the idea of LV20 Cross. Polly, being Kindness Trait based, reflects the damage of LV earlier on.

A few notes on Timeline C-

-The AU is more heavily racist against monsters than Timelines A and B.

-Polly's behavior (semi feral, overly excitable) made them more outcast amongst humans and monsters.

-Sans was so dead focused on the kid not Resetting that he actively encourages shunning Polly.

-Polly remembers the Geno Runs more clearly. Still isn't believed.

-All LV gained were from adult humans, and in self defense (3-4 adults).

-The first time they killed, they went to Sans for help, as like A and B, Polly still lived with the bros for a while and was considered family before the barrier broke.

-Sans flipped out on them and the two argue, he says they're not family. In pain, Polly breaks the machine he was working on and flees. Only has their wallet and phone- which the later breaks.

-Polly spends 3-5 years traveling the world illegally, defending themself and others and earning the rest of their LV, before returning when they hear Ebott instated protection laws for monsters.

-Breaking the machine makes the AU a multiverse skeleton one and Polly has the joy of calling out the cousin bullshit. Sans told everyone Polly ran away but not why, Papyrus welcomes them back and apologizes.

Eventually Polly gets their own cabin in the woods to live in, and meets their boys. This AU does have Free's skelegal Yancy too! She's Justice based and helps kick Sans' ass into gear 💙

-Eyelights are white normally, return to green with happy/relaxed.

-Bigger and sharper fangs, claws, tail has a knife spike.

-Can still heal, but takes a greater toll on them.

-OG Polly 5'8", LV10 is 6'11"

-Voice went deeper and their purr sounds like a lawnmower now.

The Fells of the Skelemansion were nice enough to stick up for Polly and help them learn better control methods for their LV flares. Paps and Blue are sweet and help them feel less scary. Sans and Stretch are judgy bitches lol
