Sydney, Love, Beauty
I don’t know if many others noticed but Syd seems to have glammed up a little in the later episodes of S2. It’s very slight, you would almost miss it but it’s there. She has on shiny sheer lip color (yes, her lips always looked so dry last season, thank you), a sliver of eyeliner, and a touch of mascara. I also noticed her lighting is much improved showing off her perfect skin.
Syd has always been attractive but it just really stuck out to me that after the arrival of Claire she’s looking just a tad more dolled up. Is it connected? Did the makeup artist just decide to experiment more? Will we see more changes in the future?
As a black woman I’m obviously going to analyze this more. Black women are always going to notice how we are portrayed onscreen aesthetically. I remember being so pissed, along with much of the black TWD fandom, about how wamp, wamp Michonne’s wigs were. Were we being reasonable? Would any of us have amazingly groomed dreads during a zombie apocalypse? It wasn’t like the white women had fresh blowouts. Was it on purpose or an oversight?
Back to Syd. They could keep Syd looking the same. They could change her to look more glam. Either choice has implications.
A lot of people read Sydney’s style as signaling that she’s a lesbian. That could make sense. Plenty of lesbians style themselves like Syd. But it could also mean nothing. I have two black women friends that dress very tomboyish and both are very straight. They are like sisters to me. I could testify in court they love dick. But especially for black women any sign of non feminine coded style signals gay. I think this feeds into people having a hard time seeing Syd as interested in men or having the show’s sex symbol attracted to her. She could turn out to be gay but I doubt it given the slow burn with Carmy. She could be bisexual which leaves possibilities open. But I think it’s very interesting that the production choices didn’t decide to make Syd a girlie girl when the writing is making her an object of men’s affections. Part of me is really into that.
On the other hand part of me would love to see her have a glam moment. But this could be potentially problematic. Syd has style but also seems to dress for practicality. So if she is consciously making an effort to look more feminine where is it coming from? Is she just growing into a new look? Is she trying to catch Carmy’s eye? Are the producers consciously trying to make her more appealing to the general audience as a romantic lead?
Personally, I would love to see Syd switch it up a little but not go too far. I would love her to have a more modern hairstyle. Box braids are classic but I want to see a more sophisticated, trendy style. Someone posted about her getting knotless boho braids or passion twists. I’m into it. I just feel like Syd is up on design and I want to see her step her game up as her career rises. I don’t mind the little bit of makeup we saw and would love to see a slightly bolder look if she has someplace to go that’s not a restaurant. On that note, can we please see her somewhere that’s not food related? I also wouldn’t mind seeing her in some lighter colors in her street wear. Her wardrobe was so dark this season.
What I don’t want to see is her doing like a full extreme makeover and that’s the thing that seems to be the catalyst for Carmy to realize he loves her. I feel like that’s fine in some white girl Cinderella story but leaves me cold in a black woman’s love story. And if they do a silk press and that’s her glow up I would be super pissed. I’m not anti her ever having straight hair but if it’s like oh, now the white boy falls for her I will ride at dawn to FX.
I wonder what Sydney’s perceptions of her looks are. She seems confident in so many ways. But, yeah, why did she decide to randomly have a glossy lip? Does she view herself as pretty? Has she dated? Has she been told she’s beautiful?
I’m rambling but my point is she can glow up a bit but I never want the messaging to be she had to “get pretty” to get the guy. If she makes changes I want it to be because she’s evolving, maybe a little flirty, but not thinking she has to be a different person to get who she wants.

as hcs, what are suspect r’s reactions to f!chief’s fashion? if possible, could you also include the upcoming cny event’s attire (f!chief looks so handsome, 10/10 cutie pie <3)?? no worries if not, i’m technically at ch11, and chief already has like five skins (tho rip me i’m at medium bfl + f2p only :/)
follow up on r’s reactions to chief (not sure if i could ask both together so i split it just in case <3): as hcs, what would f!chief’s thoughts be about her Wife’s- i mean suspect r’s attires? i know she technically already saw her in the prologue (and later in the iconic wet dream- i mean her surprise appearance in ch6) but lmao she just woke up, groggy and totally clueless and first thing she sees is a half revealed chest? and what about the dress and cute hat r wears in the trailer and the crimebrand? also do NOT ask me how long i stared at creation i’m gobbling up every suspect r crumb (oh ho ho hooo i spy expensive gloves and an even more expensive purse looks like a certain suspect is super rich but what peek? what experiment?? (ok that one is probably connected to paradeisos) whAT SECRET??? WHAT PROMISE???????) ALSO i’m sorry for rambling a bit more but before r woke her wife- i mean f!chief did r seriously change her dress to a shirt and unbuttoned the top five buttons and rolled up her sleeves and made sure her skirt shows her fine booty perfectly even if chief can’t even see or feel it fhsadhakjdhakj truly no one does it like suspect r pls never change ma’am
Hi anon! The deluge of Suspect R asks startled the shit out of me but it's okay because I love her. I decided to combine these two requests because otherwise the one about Chief reacting to Suspect R's fashion would've been reaaaaally short. I hope that we see more of Suspect R in act two of the story, I'm begging for crumbs... It's been over an in-game year since we saw her! And I'm pretty sure it's also been around that much time irl too. Aisno is edging us. I need to know what she knows about us! She acts way too much like our ex-wife! Clearly she knows us and she speaks of us fondly, who were we to her?!
Suspect R and F!Chief reacting to each other's fashion
The Bureau uniform is what Suspect R is used to, of course. She doesn't think much of it, beyond what she thinks of Chief herself: that she's absolutely stunning no matter what she wears. R longs to run her fingers through Chief's hair… and of course, she would've gotten Chief some clothes more to her taste if she'd managed to scoop her up and whisk her away. She also finds the jacket cute – and she has no room to talk about wearing your jacket properly. She thinks it's a way in which they match, which she likes.
The Stalker attire just adds a hood and cloak, but R thinks Chief wears it extremely well. If she could, she'd love to tease about how she looks like a “true Syndican” now.
R is more enamored by the story behind the Passage of Time attire than the outfit itself. She thinks the colors and patterns look nice on the Chief, but what truly makes it shine to her is Chief's interactions with OwO. She also thinks the braid looks very nice. Overall, it's a bit of a different look to what she's used to from the Chief, but she likes it anyway.
She thinks the Traveler attire is adorable. She honestly can't pick a favorite part about it because her eyes are too busy roaming everywhere, though she definitely appreciates the good view of Chief's legs. This is a strong competitor for her favorite outfit, because she thinks it brings out Chief's heroic spirit and kind heart by the vibes of it, which is by far her favorite aspect of the Chief.
Her reaction to Nightfall Soiree can be summarized as “lol cute.” She prefers seeing Chief in blue – not that she's biased or anything – but she admits the red is a good look on Chief. It's bolder than what is standard for the Chief, and she thinks her fluffy curls look adorable. It's an easy contender for her top three.
Her thoughts on the upcoming attire is that she wants to pull on Chief's ponyta– ahem. She's a big fan of the subtle touches of red against the black and white. While her bias is definitely Chief in dresses, she's a big fan of looks like these as well – she prefers it to Passage of Time, as far as celebrating the Chinese New Year goes. Once again, she feels like this outfit brings out her beloved Chief's heroic spirit.
As for Chief…
When you awaken with amnesia, you don't expect your first sight to be… anything at all, really. But if Chief did have expectations, Suspect R and her appearance would've been low on the list.
It actually took a moment for Chief to take note of R's fashion, held spellbound by the striking glow of her eyes – but when she did tear her gaze away, her heart did a flip in her chest and she had to swallow as her mouth suddenly felt drier than a desert.
R was stunning, simply stunning. Her blonde hair cascading over perfect shoulders, slender fingers tracing over Chief's cheek, breath hot on her face…
Oh, and it didn't help that her top, uh… left little to the imagination. A physical one was not the only awakening Chief went through in that moment; if Nightingale hadn't showed up, Suspect R would've probably succeeded in whisking her away.
When Chief finally gets to see R's alternate outfit, she'll be stunned as always. It's not something she'd ever imagine R wearing, but she can't deny that R looks amazing – and white has always been a good color on her.
Still, Chief prefers Rebecca's more casual outfit – if you can call it that. Her fancier outfit feels like it loses some of R's spirit, the spark that draws Chief to her in the first place – making her look like any other rich Eastside (or Paradeisos…?) lady.

How do you feel comfortable going out in lolita? I love the fashion but only wear it at home so far, I hate attention and don't want other people to perceive me let alone make fun of me thinking I either try to look like a 'kid' because of the sweet pastel motifs or if that's a fetish thing :( ((I'm a sweet lolita))
i definitely wasn't comfortable with it until after the first couple of times, you're not alone in feeling apprehensive about it!
i'm the same way as you, i dislike attracting attention/people looking/staring and commenting and such.. but you get used to it after the first few interactions. the reality is there's a preconceived notion a lot of people have about those who wear alternative fashions—that anyone dressed "differently" than the norm is doing so to invite others to talk to them, interact with them, stare, take photos and all even though a lot of us prefer to be left alone. especially with sweet lolita as you mentioned, there will be certain people who are convinced of it being something sexual or related to some sort of age regression.
it helps to be content with knowing you're wearing it with the intention of simply wanting to dress a certain way, and that there's no deeper meaning or motivation behind doing so. you don't owe people explanations and don't have to convince them otherwise, it's completely okay to let people be wrong about you. a good amount of people you'll be seeing on the streets will be unable to understand what lolita is, even if you took the time to explain it, let alone able to comprehend why people would want to dress that way... which is fine really, with time you'll value judgements from strangers less and less.
interactions with strangers will often be a mixed bag. you'll get compliments but you'll also have rude people who overstep boundaries or make snide comments. sometimes people will smile at you or look with interest/curiosity but there will also be people who give you nasty/rude looks. a lot of people will blankly stare or look for a while in general, but it's often best to assume they're simply staring because it's something different/interesting rather than staring to be rude.
it's important to remember you have the choice to remove yourself from situations that make you uncomfortable. i often remind myself that i'll likely never see any of these people again if i find myself feeling especially nervous. i highly recommend having plans ready for days you'd like to go out. it helps to have a coord you're very happy with prepared, a fun activity or place to eat to look forward to, a supportive friend or partner (even if they don't wear lolita) to go out with you. personally i wore something toned down for the first time (neutral colors) and then after felt comfortable enough to wear bolder colors and more OTT looks. you could work up to it/ease into it at your own pace, but throwing myself out there is what worked best for me. the "do it scared" saying resonated a lot with me.
and lastly, some positives:
every now and then you'll inspire someone/give them the confidence to also dress in a way that's more expressive and true to how they'd like to dress rather than conforming to what's considered acceptable.
you'll eventually run into people who know what lolita is and recognize what you're wearing, that's always cool to experience!
you will be doing what you want and what makes you happiest. at the end of the day, you have yourself and you realize how little the people you see in passing actually matter. you're the most important person in your own life, put your happiness before other's opinions, life's too short to not live how you want out of fear of how others will react, etc!

Hi there! It's Vane (or Bane) speaking, thank you for coming by. I'm in my thirties, I'm from Spain (English is not my native language, so if you see something odd, you know the reason now), I've got the laziest dog in the world and I'm currently hyperfixating on Stranger Things, especifically on steddie, so most of my posts will be about that, even though the original intention was it to be more generic. Joke's on me. I should just cut the crap and just use an ST icon, I'm not fooling anyone, I'm in love now.
I've been drawing since I was a little girl, but I've had some sort of traumatic experiences showing my stuff online lately, and I'm trying to make peace with that, so I made this blog with the intention to actually be bolder and share the few things I do. I expected it to be more drawings than fics, but I guess I keep surprising myself, so, yeah, I'll embrace the change. I've realized that writing fics is healing my soul in ways I've not expecting, so, you know, I'm kind of my own target audience, but if you like what I do, feel free to comment or share my posts, or to engage in a converstion about common interests, my asks are always open. I'm always happy to meet new people and I'm glad to interact with anyone.
Above all, this blog is a hate free space. We are all here to have fun and respect each other, so, if by any chance there's someone who doesn't like what is posted here, I politely invite them to just leave. Keep the hate away, please and thank you.
Also, I must say that I'm not aiming to post +18 stuff, but I am also not aiming to stop reblogging things for adult if I feel like it, so, you must be warned about this. This means, that at some point I could post NSFW, always specifically writing down a warning, even in the masterlist. By the way, I must ask minors to not interact if in such posts or else you will be immediately blocked. This goes for blank accounts and accounts that might be suspiscious to me, too.
I feel the need to please ask people to NOT post my pictures as their own (reblogging the post is always welcome, but reposting is NOT), and if you want to use any of my drawings, please ask for permission first to know how to use it correctly. Respect the artist, please.
That being said, I'm going to proceed to make a MASTERLIST of my posts (I'm fascinated with all the talent in this site, I keep reblogging amazing things and then I'm having trouble finding my own stuff). Most of my works are on AO3 so, please, read the tags there if you want!

1 & 11 for the ask game pretty please! :D
Thanks for the ask! 🧡 Questions here!
Tumblr media
1)are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?
Purple and varying shades of yellow (amber) are her color motifs. Very classic cyberpunk-esque color combo. I also initially picked yellow because I just like yellow, but now it has thematic tie-ins to self-perception and birds…
V is very utilitarian in her dress and primarily wears black or other staunch neutral colors, a holdover from her military stint. It’s more practical when she’s working and running gigs too. She does wear odd pops of color on occasion when the mood strikes her, usually a brightly colored jacket, as a form of mini-rebellion because she largely didn’t have much choice in what she wore for most of her life. Neither her mother nor Arasaka’s dress code gave her much freedom in that regard. And it doesn’t matter if she gets spotted by the enemy while wearing high-vis safety colors, she’ll just switch into attack mode.
11) what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?
Grandpa is an extension of me in a lot of ways, and there are a lot of aspects of her that are drawn on from my own life and experiences. She’s half-Korean, practical, she’s much more comfortable in casual settings, I gave her a lot of my dance moves (I practice aikido irl and have been for the past decade, but Grandpa is way more badass than me and often eschews tradition in favor of brutally effective. Art of Peace… we’ll circle back to that.) While her backstory isn’t my direct experience, it is inspired by a lot of familial history.
In terms of personality though, she’s bolder, blunter, and much more direct than I am. She’s also hyper-critical of herself and others and far less forgiving, to the point of vengeful if you piss her off. In general, her personality is a lot sharper and tougher than mine, and, unlike me, she’s willing to sacrifice pieces of herself to accomplish her goals. Grandpa’s more aimless about what she wants out of life too, mainly because she hasn’t had much opportunity to sit down and ask herself what she wants out of it as opposed to what other people want out of her. Underneath the hard cool exterior though, she’ll turn into jello with an ounce of niceness.
We’d probably get along? I’m pretty laid-back and get along reasonably well with most folks, but she’s a lot less personable than me. I might have to coax Grandpa V out of a corner with some food or snacks first lol.

SPRING CLEANING ‘24 ␥ Phoebe Huynh (2/?)
fandom: stranger things
pairing: eventual and implied chrissy cunningham/phoebe huynh (oc)
author's note: originally written during the summer of '22, this hasn't seen the light of say other than a friend or two i've sent it to. it was also the time when i challenged myself to write in present tense. i planned it to be a one-shot like almost everything else i've written in the last two years. phoebe and chrissy are the definition of those middle school female friendships you never truly recover from, lol.
word count: 598
It’s the September of 1979. The Huynhs have moved from sunny California to dreary Indiana to open a nail salon in the heart of Hawkins, and Phoebe is entering sixth grade at the local middle school.
Phoebe’s schedule shows her first class is U.S. History with Mrs. Cassandra Callahan. Phoebe makes her way to the class—trying and failing to ignore how she’s the only Asian person in the building and how all the students stare and whisper.
The stares and whispers are worse when she’s one of the first students in the classroom. Her peers make a lousy attempt at sneaking glances at her while she is busy observing the classroom and Mrs. Callahan.
Mrs. Callahan is younger than the cluster of teachers hanging around their doorways in the Social Studies hallway. She’s newlywed, going off how she fiddles with the simple but shiny gold band on her left ring finger and stares at it with a sparkling gaze. Wispy strands of blonde hair fall around her face, and Phoebe can tell she has bright and eager blue eyes.
The bell rings, and Mrs. Callahan walks to her desk with a sunny smile. “Good morning, everyone! Since it’s the first day of school, we’ll do some ice-breakers before going over the syllabus and the class rules and expectations.”
Everyone is quiet except for the occasional shuffle as the kids move around in their seats. Mrs. Callahan brightens at the lack of groans and complaints. She picks up a clipboard with a pencil. “I’m going to call roll.”
Mrs. Callahan makes her way quickly through the list, but her confidence wavers through the H section.
“H-U-Y-N-H? I’m so sorry I can’t pronounce this—” Mrs. Callahan’s voice is high-pitched and hesitant when her eyes fall upon Phoebe. “How do you pronounce your last name, sweetie?”
Something about how Mrs. Callahan says “sweetie” aggravates Phoebe, but she swallows her pride, plasters on a saccharine smile, and gives her the correct pronunciation.
“Oh, I’m never gonna get that correct,” Mrs. Callahan mumbles, scribbling something down on the page.
In front of her, a girl turns around. The sudden motion makes the straw-colored hair in a ponytail whip around her face. “Hi, I’m Chrissy! I like your nail polish color!”
Phoebe looks down at her hands. The polish—a soft pink by the name of “Pink Almond”—had been applied by her mother during their mother-daughter bonding time she insisted on every Saturday night. Her mother had chosen the color, saying that neutrals and soft polishes on her natural nails suited Phoebe for the upcoming school year, and she promised they’d go back to experimenting with the bolder set of trendy colors during the summer.
“Thank you,” Phoebe replies with a clipped, polite tone. She looks back at Chrissy with the hopes the other girl understands she’s hesitant to talk to her and cools down the cheerfulness. It’s simply too early for this.
“Can I see your schedule? I want to see how many classes we have together.”
Phoebe feels like Chrissy is staking her claim on her. And, strangely, finds she doesn’t mind at all. She passes Chrissy her schedule and watches as the girl skims it.
“Sweet! We have basically all our classes together.” Chrissy seems excited at the thought but hesitates at Phoebe’s stony silence. “I was going to ask if you wanted to stick together, but if you—I mean, you don’t have to say yes—”
“No,” Phoebe interrupts. A smile tugs at her lips, one more sincere than the one aimed at Mrs. Callahan earlier. “We can stick together.”

Hello ! I saw my favourite au is open and your works are super amazing !😻 I have a little bit darker request if you don't mind <3 IDW Deadlock getting a female human pet to fill his "needs" because cybertronian femmes became too boring for him so he wants to try something new but the human is obviously scared so he tries to calm them but often fails
OR if you don't feel like writing this one i have this ❤️ <3 Lost Light Swerve and Brainstorm reacting to humans having different hair and skin colors. Like albino human or a black human. Ginger (i'm ginger myself with freckles too <33 ), black, blonde and brown hair colors, long and short so they just examine them being fascinated😭
Pick any you feel like writing ! Thank you and i hope i didn't write too much😭❤️
Brainstorm is so in awe that people can also change their appearance like Cybertronians can change their frames or paint jobs! It's up to you to explain to him that while humans actually can't change their skin tone, they can do a lot with their hair.
So you are telling him that you can cut your hair and it will grow back? Amazing! Can you also cut off a limb and grow it back like some lizards or aliens?
No, only hair? Wait, it takes time? How long? Months if not years!? That is way too slow!
The scientist tried to come up with a gun that can both make your hair grow and dye it for you, but Perceptor confiscated it when he learned that it worked as an actual gun also.
Brainstorm might be a little bummed by it, but you suggest that he gets to decide your new hairstyle and color and he gets excited again, asking you if you can turn it into rainbow mohawk?
Whoa there, let's start with a small trim and maybe some bolder color like red or maybe even teal like his paint job?
Swerve is familiar with humans having different colored hairs and skin tones, but seeing it in real life and not through his datapad's screen is a totally new experience.
If you look you can catch him admiring your hair from afar, paying extra attention when you pull your fingers through your hair or when you are playing with the strands of it.
It just looks so soft and smooth... Swerve is a little sad that he is so chubby, his servos included because he would love to play with your hair and try different hairstyles on your hair...
You take pity on him and ask if he would like to decide on your next style? He could be the fashion judge while Skids, he learned how to do hair after one tutorial from Youtube, does your hair?
This makes Swerve so happy and you immediately notice that Swerve has pretty good taste.
He is up to modern human styles and colors, but you can tell that he is leaning more toward reddish colors much like his paint job. In the end, you come out looking super cute or handsome, whichever you prefer to be called as.
Mechs and femmes left and right compliment your hair and ask where you came up with that style and you point in Swerve's direction and the bartender is happy to tell what your hair color and your cut represent in human society.

Makeup Looks: Hyacinth’s Group
As I have done these for the main characters from my other stories, it is only natural that I do the ones for this story! This is essentially a new mini series of mine, of exploring the makeup looks of my characters beyond the brief description of them in their fashion posts. I hope you enjoy~ :3
=============================================================
- Hyacinth
Tumblr media
. Hyacinth wears no makeup, as he does not have the time or money to, nor does it really suit his tastes as he has more important things on his mind than looking good
. However, he does have one vague memory of attending a royal party when he was a child, in which he did have light, decorative face paint to show pride for the event and his kingdom
. This was just some swirly flower designs by his eyes, as the event in question revolved around the spring season
- Azure
Tumblr media
. Azure enjoys wearing makeup, whether for his modelling shoots or just for fun
. His usual look consists of light concealer and foundation, natural eyeshadow, and sharp and striking eyeliner
. He does also tend to wear dark teal or smokey eyeshadow when spending a night out on the town, and for his modelling shoots he will match the style and color of his makeup to the clothes he is to be wearing
. For nails, he likes to keep them medium-length and sharp, usually painted either plain black or teal
- Coral
Tumblr media
. Coral likes wearing makeup, finding it fun but she doesn’t wear any to her matches
. Her daily look consists of sharp eyeliner, mascara, dark pink lipstick, and natural eyeshadow
. When she wants to go for bolder looks she will wear either shimmering dark pink or orange colors, and enjoys any product that sparkles
. For nails, she keeps them short but sharp, and loves getting them done with bright colors and fun designs, particularly liking glitter polish
- Maris
Tumblr media
. Maris is not super into wearing makeup, since it would just get washed off whenever she is underwater
. If she does wear it, then she only uses waterproof products
. Except for formal occasions where she would be more inclined to wear more, her normal everyday look is just mascara and lip gloss
. For nails, she doesn’t mind getting them done and usually keeps them short and square-shaped, and she loves experimenting with different cute beach and tropical designs
- Saffron
Tumblr media
. Saffron doesn’t really wear makeup, but he does like wearing eyeliner to make his eyes sharper
. He also doesn’t consistently file his nails so they could be any length at any time, but they are sharp and he does like painting them with simple black polish, not minding if it gets chipped

BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES  :  she’s not unreasonable. she’s pretty aware of what she is and isn’t good at / what she can and can’t change. she gets self-conscious, but she doesn’t stay that way. that said, she will always have an inferiority complex in literally any situation where she feels like she’s being #competed with romantically, so you can imagine the stress she is under

Personal question to you...
Have you ever observed how your cognitive processes, ways of thinking and understanding more complex ideas and observing reality changed as an adult from a teenager?
For me, it did and i feel my teenage self was more emotionally centered, saw humans for humans, didn't see colour, race, caste, class to define them or even focused on language, accent though was aware of gender biases. And some other things that media displaced and led to one's awareness.
Besides that how I've become more rationally oriented, practical and realistic.
How was it for you? Do you miss certain aspects of yourself that were better than adult version of you? Or is the opposite?
What have you done to regain past versions of yourself, or reframe the adult versions you disagreed with all inside your mind?
The only thing I miss about my younger self is that all but one of my grandparents was alive to enjoy—and I didn’t, in the way that teens don’t. I assumed they would be there forever. I took people I cared about for granted and I’m trying not to do that as an adult, because I realize much more profoundly – multiple funerals later—that life is short and you may not have tomorrow.
I do not look back much, because I tend to either color childhood experiences as full of romantic wonder and longing or to focus on the mistakes I made in a desire to beat myself up about them again. I think my only virtue as a teenager was being responsible, but also naïve and optimistic and hopeful for the world. Some of that idealism has become cynicism toward the human race. I was also much bolder in assuming I had things to say that people needed to hear, and I do miss that version of myself. It seems like I’ve grown lazy about sharing my thoughts because there’s so many other people doing the same, it doesn’t feel necessary anymore. And I was less of a perfectionist as an author. I’ve studied and practiced so much as a writer that it’s harder, because I’m writing intentionally and with purpose, rather than just randomly stringing incidents together.
I would never go back, though. I wouldn’t want to be my younger self again. I prefer the wisdom of almost forty years of being alive. I no longer fight about stupid stuff that doesn’t matter (even if it’s still a temptation, I am not a saint!). I am not nearly as obnoxious, firm in my opinions, or quarrelsome. And I have made such huge progress in dismantling some of my worst 6 tendencies that I breathe a sigh of relief knowing I don’t do XYZ anymore. It’s a daily struggle to identify and deal with things, but I’m also seeing progress, and that’s important to me.

Process Blog Week 1+2

Before I began this class I had a different view of graphic design. I always thought of graphic design in a literal sense, but I never knew of the many different professions and Intricacies of the field. After my reading this week I’ve discovered and learned so many new things. The book talked about the traits and skills needed to become a graphic designer. One of the graphic designers I read about was Gail Anderson. Her Typographical skills stood out to me. Her work made me think about how graphic design and typography relate to one another. I have never put text over an image before this class. I assumed that it would be an easy task, but that was not the case. Project 1 dealt with putting font over an AI-generated image in Photoshop, to create a 6-word Memoir. While this seems easy enough it does present us with questions and limitations.
1.) What Font, Size and Color? - Choosing a font is an important part of making a graphic image. When using text in a graphic I learned that It’s important to choose your font carefully. When I was first experimenting with Photoshop I played around with different fonts, font sizes, and font colors. All these factors attribute to the final look of your graphic, so you must make these choices wisely, so they coordinate with your overarching idea. I will talk more about fonts in Memoir 1.
2.)What are the Limitations? - The biggest limitation of project 1 was the AI, Craiyon. This technology is amazing but it does have its limitations. The Resolution of the AI-generated images was low, which resulted in pixelation. The AI struggled to create realistic things, this stumped me in the early stages of development. A lot of the Ideas I had were not possible with the limitations of the AI. I wanted my designs to be appealing, but the AI was generating unusable content. From this point on I started to brainstorm more stylized ideas for the AI to generate.
Memoir 1
This is my AI-generated image for Memoir 1. I instructed the AI to generate an image of a storm. The original idea was to make an image with heavy text, and a softer background. I wanted to do something more personal to me with this Memoir. The concept was how I depict my negative emotions.
Tumblr media
This image below is Memoir 1 with text. I think the overall image achieved my concept. The fonts I chose for the image were chiller and Bernard MT Condensed. I liked the fonts I chose, I think they complement the image well. This was a very font-dependent image, and this memoir gave me the chance to experiment with different font types and sizes.
Tumblr media
Memoir 1 Critique
During our critique in class, my group suggested a couple of fixes that could make this graphic better. One of the first things was text size. As you go down the list of words the sizing is inconsistent and has no pattern or sense to it. I agree that the sizing of the words needs to be improved.
Memoir 2
Below is the original generated image for memoir 2. Memoir 2 was challenging for me, I had to give the AI multiple phrases to get the image I wanted. Though I had to rephrase the wording I think the AI did a good job of making the image I desired.
Tumblr media
The text was inspired by the AI-generated image. It took me a while to string the words together, but I like the words I choose to go with the image, I feel it is very fitting, the final Memoir is below.
Tumblr media
Memoir 2 critique
During the critique, my group suggested changing the font to something bolder to fill up the empty white space. I think there is room for experimentation with the font of the image. I also think the font could be transformed to fit around his head better as well. The major issue they had with memoir 2 was the faint line left behind where I imported the image. It was a major oversight with the project, once you notice it you can't unsee it.
Week 1+2 Concludes
After my first two weeks in ARTS-102, I learned the basics of Photoshop and a little bit of Illustrator. I'm still unfamiliar with some aspects of these programs, but that's why I'm here, to learn. Not only am I learning about these programs, but I'm learning the skills I'll use one day as a graphic designer.

As the wedding season is going to set in, brides-to-be around the globe are on a furious search for that perfect dress that will make them feel like a million dollars on their most special day. What styles are “hot” and what’s not? Fear not, we are taking care of you. In this article, we will read about latest trends in wedding dresses which help you find your dream dress. Regardless of whether you prefer timeless sophistication or novelty, this season have something to offer for sure. Ranging from bold and daring silhouettes to fine lace details, the choices are boundless. Take a trip with us to look at the latest style that is dominating in the wedding dress fashion arena. Inspire and stay one step ahead of fashion to ensure that you look your best on the day when you say “I do”.
Classic Wedding Dress Styles That Never Go Out Of Fashion
There are particular styles when it comes to wedding dresses that have remained timeless and popular each year. Classic styles of wedding dresses are very elegant and sophisticated, so they always remain popular among brides. An example of such style is the A-line silhouette; this looks good on most body because it has a fitted bodice and flared skirt. Lace or beading can also embellish A-line dresses to make them more glamorous, while they stick to simplicity for being less understated.
The ball gown is one more classic style that does not go out of fashion. The silhouette inspired by a fairy tale has fitted bodice and voluminous skirt that looks dramatic and romantic at the same time. With ball gowns, brides can make a bold statement on their special day and feel like princesses.
The sheath silhouette is a popular choice among brides who want something that looks more fitted and sleek. This style fits the body from head to toe, accentuating natural curves of a bride. Sheath dresses made of lightweight fabrics that flow easily are very fashionable and modern.
Modern adaptations of classic wedding dress styles
Although classic wedding dress styles are always fashionable, modern brides tend to search for something special and contemporary in the old-fashioned silhouettes. Designers have been exploring new designs and trying to incorporate novel elements that showcase unique wedding dress styles most appealing for modern brides.
A very popular modern trend in wedding dresses is to include some elaborate and unusual details. 3D floral appliques, geometric cut-outs – these unique details give every dress a certain amount of individuality making it the only one in this world.
The use of unusual fabrics and textures is yet another modern take on traditional wedding dress styles. Designers are experimenting with unorthodox materials such as feathers, fringe and even leather in an attempt to make contemporary fashion wedding dress. These daring decisions give it a touch of surprise and make the bridal look not forgettable.
Although white and ivory remain timeless colors, brides are now choosing blush or champagne hues—or even bolder shades such as red or black. These unconventional colours go against the conventional wedding dress and enable brides to materialize their character and create an impact.
By blending new interpretations of classic wedding dress styles brides can have the best of both worlds a traditional shape and contemporary touch. These modern wedding dresses are ideal for brides who want to make a statement and highlight their own individuality on the most important day of their lives.
Bohemian and Boho-Chic Wedding Dress Trends
In the case of brides who chose a free-spirited and bohemian lifestyle, boho chic wedding dress trends are suitable. These loose, ethereal and romantic styles are called “careless elegance” which makes them perfect for outdoor or destination weddings.
Soft and flowing fabrics are among the main features of bohemian wedding dress trends. Dresses are made of chiffon, organza or tulle that give you a dreamy and romantic look as it swings every time. Such light fabrics are ideal for brides, who wish to feel free and comfortable in their wedding clothes.
Lace is another fundamental part of bohemian wedding dress designs. Fragile and sophisticated lace decorations bring air of feminine gracefulness, nostalgia to the dress. In boho-chic wedding dresses, lace is a prominent detail no matter if it’s fully made of this fabric or just used for embellishing the sleeves or bodice.
As regards the silhouettes, bohemian wedding dresses tend to be noticeably relaxed and loose-fitting in style. When it comes to dresses, flowy A-line or empire waist types are in; they let you move freely and create a whimsical bohemian look. These romantic and easygoing silhouettes are perfect for brides who want to act their inner flower child.
Brides can achieve a boho-chic look by selecting accessories like flower crowns, statement earrings or delicate anklets. These accessories will give it a bohemian feel and make the wedding dress look even more beautiful.
In order to look relaxed but charming in the special day, brides who love their chic free spirit will achieve this by dressing as per bohemian and also boho-chic wedding dress patterns. These dresses are both delicate with soft fabrics, lace and flowing lines to make the bride feel like a bohemian goddess.
Trends in Minimalist and Sleek Wedding Dresses
Minimalist and sleek styles go against bohemian and boho-chic wedding dress trends, offering fresh perspective to modern brides who prefer a clean look over frills. These dresses are simple yet elegant meaning that they will be suitable for those who prefer a minimalist look.
Minimalist wedding dress trends include such key elements as clean and sleek silhouettes. Dresses with sheath or column silhouettes are popular options because they provide a fairly straightforward and contemporary style. Such form-fitting styles are ideal for brides who want to reveal their natural bodyshape and obtain a chic, timeless image of the bride.
Fabrics are an essential aspect of minimalist wedding dress styles. Such fabrics as satin, silk or crepe are usually used for smooth and lush effect. These fabrics fall very well and create a chic but sophisticated look.
Minimalist wedding dresses are usually plain and simple with no added decorations. These dresses are characterized by clean lines, minimal ruffles and somewhat subtle draping. These understated and chic styles are perfect for brides who appreciate the simplicity of beauty.
Brides completes the minimalist look by using only a few accessories and styling. The minimalist look is complemented by delicate jewelry, an elegant updo and a traditional veil or headpiece. It is essential to keep the concentration of attention on a dress and let its simplicity prevail.
As modern brides, minimalist and sleek trends of wedding dresses provide a contemporary yet sophisticated choice. Normal or plus size brides who value a minimalist look and are aiming at timeless sophistication will love these dresses for their clean lines, rich fabrics , understated elegance.
Colorful and Non-Traditional Wedding Dresses
Although white and ivory will forever be classic colors for wedding dresses, some brides are straying from the traditional route by choosing more colorful or non-traditional options to showcase their personality and personal flair. These dresses add an element of frivolity and distinction to the wedding day, enabling brides not just look different but also make headlines.
Perhaps one of the most widespread tendencies in bright and non-classical color wedding dresses is using pastels. Soft pastels like blush, champagne or lavender bring romance and femininity to the dress beneficial making it dreamy and ethereal. These pastel-coloured wedding dresses will be loved by brides who want to ditch tradition while still keeping a romantic feel.
For brides who are looking to make a bigger statement, bright colors such as red, blue and even black have become increasingly popular in their selection. These new unconventional colors provide an element of drama and uniqueness to the dress so brides may demonstrate their individual flair and personal style. Brides who want to make a statement and leave an unforgettable impression on their wedding day would find these colorful dresses perfect for them.
Non-traditional wedding dresses are characterized by uncommon elements, as well the presence of vibrant color schemes. From off center hemlines to these dresses are anything but pedestrian. These daring and non-traditional styles will be appreciated by brides who want their wedding day dresses to stand out.In order to complete a colorful or unconventional wedding gown, you can choose accessories that support the overall appearance of it. You can add an extra flair and individuality with statement jewelry, colourful shoes or even a dramatic headpiece.
Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Wedding Dress Options
As sustainability has become a topical issue affecting lives, majority of brides want not only stylish but also eco-friendly wedding dresses. Fortunately, designers are complying with this demand by providing sustainable and eco-friends wedding dresses.
designers are using organic and eco-friendly fabrics to make sustainable wedding dresses. Organic cotton, hemp, or even bamboo are examples of fabrics that can be grown without harmful chemicals and pesticides making them a more sustainable selection. These fabrics are also better for the environment, feel luxurious and comfortable to wear.
Another eco-friendly solution to wedding dresses is using vintage or used gowns. By wearing a pre-used wedding dress, brides will make less impact on the environment and create an individual, unique look that no one else would have. Vintage dresses tend to have an eternal and romantic allure that modern designs hardly can provide.
Designers are also looking for innovative ways to minimize waste and develop zero-waste wedding dresses. By applying pattern-cutting techniques that fully utilize fabric, designers can minimise the amount of waste generated during production. These zero-waste designs are not only eco friendly but also very beautiful.
The brides can choose accessories that are environmentally friendly to complement a sustainable wedding gown. Instead of ordinary flowers, bride may decide to carry a bouquet made from local and seasonal kinds of flowers. Furthermore, opting for natural and non-poisonous makeup and hair fashion can also help in achieving an environmentally conscious bridal aesthetic.
In their turn, sustainable and eco-friendly wedding dress ideas present brides with the possibility to contribute something positive towards nature without compromising on fashionability or gracefulness.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Wedding Dress
Picking the ideal wedding gown can be a challenging chore. To help you find the dress that flatters your body type and makes you feel confident and beautiful, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Know your body type: An important factor to consider when selecting wedding dress is understanding your body shape. No matter if you are hourglass-shaped, pear-shaped or athletic built – knowing your body type will help you recognize the styles that would draw attention to your best assets.
Highlight your assets: Choose a dress with elastic at the waist if you have a small waist to achieve an hourglass figure. If you have slim arms, choose a sleeveless or an off-the shoulder dress to emphasize them. By emphasizing your best features, you will be more confident and beautiful on our day.
Consider the neckline: A wedding dress’ neckline can greatly influence how you look overall. A V-neckline flattens the neck and gives a slimming line, whereas sweetheart ones accentuate bust. Strapless styles would accentuate shoulders and collarbone while high necklines could add little bit of elegance.
Pay attention to the silhouette: A wedding dress silhouette can have a significant impact on how flattering your body looks. A-line dresses flatter all figures and ball gowns can create a dramatic look. Sheath dresses are great for emphasizing a slim shape, while mermaid styles draw attention to curves.
Don't forget about comfort: Choosing a dress that accentuates your body shape is crucial, but it’s also important to select an outfit you feel comfortable wearing. Ensuring that you can move, sit and dance in your dress without feeling stiff or uncomfortable is mandatory.
consider your venue: Your venue and theme for your wedding can also command your choice of bridal gown. For a beach wedding, something light and airy might be perfect while for the formal indoor setting, you may decide to wear something more traditional and structured.
So, remembering all these tips you will find the right wedding dress that makes you look fabulous and feel confident and comfortable on your big day.
Wedding Dress Seasonal Tips
Accessories complete a wedding ensemble. It ranges from veils and headpieces to shoes and jewelry that all work together for the bridal look. Select style of accessories depending on the dress neckline, pick pieces that complement each other and create balance for overall harmonious look.
Conclusion and End of Thoughts on Wedding Dress Trends
Wedding dress styles keep changing to suit different tastes and appearances. Today, brides can choose from timeless classics to environmentally friendly choices. Focusing on the traditions or searching for new statements, after all, everything counts in finding that dress which fits one’s style and shape to reflect womanhood reflection of past generations as an extension from Grandmother when celebrating this special day. As fashion changes, the core of a wedding dress remains constant — it is emblematic of love and celebration, along with providing an individual signature.

Hiiii! Soft anon here, but I’m awfully curious if you’re still taking requests? If so…may I request a shy (fem reader if possible) riding leo for the first time? Riding has always sounded like it hurt and also embarrassed poor reader whenever they/she thinks about it!! But this time they wanna try something new!! >_<
//>.<;// And yes, I am still taking requests over here ;)
Tiptoeing out of your shared bedroom, you were a bit nervous to ask Leo if he would let you...
Not helping your nerves was the thin lace lingerie you'd chosen to wear. Almost as if asking Leo such a thing would require you to 'sweeten' the deal by looking sexier.
Peeking out into the small living room area, ever thankful for the black-out curtains shielding the inside of your apartment from the outside world; you were first spotted by Sonic as Leo was playing a video game.
"Eemp!" The tiny monkey thought he was helping by smacking Leo's face, pointing to where you'd just ducked back behind the corner.
Was it too soon to dart back and change? Especially your mind?
Confused and concerned, Leo stood, "[Name]? Is everything alrigh--"
Stopping dead in his tracks, you and Leo stood staring red-faced at one another. So many thoughts were bubbling to the surface of Leo's mind as he took in just how adorable and sexy you looked. But you could hardly look him in the face, instead shyly shifting on your feet trying to find the conviction to say what you wanted to say.
"You look..." Leo mumbled, "Just... Wow."
The unmistakable awe in his voice, the way his eyes didn't leave you for a single second; you felt like you'd catch fire before you could say even one word.
"I... uh... th-thanks." You eventually stumbled, "I... I wanted to... to ask... uh"
Shivering a little at the warm contact of Leo's hands around your waist, you calmed down some. He wasn't able to stop himself completely, but he would never force or push too far too soon. But leaning into his t-shirt, finally able to look at him. To look at those shimmery blue slivers he kept mostly closed, steadied your mind.
"I wanted to ask if I could..." You still faltered in saying it, just a little, "I wanna ride you."
Leo blinked several times, giving you a slightly better view of the magical blue orbs behind his lids. The color which had slightly calmed down from his cheeks was back in full force at the sudden request.
"Bu- you... You do?" Leo sputtered, "I mean, yeah! I... that, we... yes."
As difficult as it was for the two of you to reverse the roles. Slow, passionate kisses as Leo pulled you closer to him, enjoying how shy and sweet you were being as you tried to tug his shirt off. Silently guiding you back to the bedroom and trying to get you to take the lead. Something about you being more dominant seriously turned him on, he might admit to it... if he thought it would help boost your confidence.
Being clumsy was Leo's specialty, toppling backward onto the bed. Pulling you over top of himself, trying to be as careful as possible; but also wanting you to take over. Keeping you on top of him but otherwise not doing anything to take over what you wanted to do.
Straddling Leo was surprisingly easy, but the way you were positioned over him remained awkward... you never thought you'd get this far and had zero clue what to do next. Leo's hands found your waist, carefully guiding you to hover over him. As much as you wanted to be bolder, you just couldn't get over how...
"[Name]," Leo nudged your chin, "Please?"
The rampant blush across your face gave away how little you knew what to do next. But as Leo leaned up, kissing at your jawline; you made the attempt to just... copy his behavior. Taking a deep breath, you nuzzled into the crook of his neck, planting soft kisses where you could.
Leo couldn't help but shudder while you tried your best to mimic his foreplay techniques. A little scared of hurting either of yourselves, especially with how little experience you had being dominant. But the way you were giving him attention was just too perfect, at least for Leo. He was more than capable of gently teasing you with your choice of lingerie.
Easing up and settling over Leo's pelvis, you traced your fingers lightly down his chest. Taking your time as you made your way to his belt and pants, riling Leo up in such a soft way that he melted under you.
Leo couldn't help bucking up against you, unable to keep himself from being very direct with what he wanted. Even if he was usually just as shy as you were, especially in intimate situations. This was far too exciting to him for him to be timid or second-guess what was going on.
Reaching up, he unstrapped your bikini top. Tossing the frilly article to the side while Leo slowly caressed your breast, making you shudder and hesitate in tugging his pants off. You leaned back down, giving Leo better access to your chest.
"Leeeooo" You murmured.
Humming softly, "You're doing amazing sweetie. Whatever you wanna do, I'll help guide you if you wanna."
"Please..." Shuddering over him, tugging at his pants and boxers, "I dunno what I'm doing."
Gently kissing between your bosom, Leo helped in kicking off his pants. Silently guiding you down as he pulled at the strings holding up your lingerie bottoms, you took a little initiative in stroking the length of Leo's cock.
"Huurnng..." Leo shuddered, "Yeah... Just like that..."
All the foreplay and teasing weren't going to make what came next any less weird or new. You simply had to take a deep breath and do it. Carefully putting the head of his member against your damp folds, you slid down slowly. Leo watched, helping you straighten up and figure out how to go about this.
He was mumbling nonstop praise, holding onto your hips as you hesitantly began bouncing over Leo. As careful as you were both being, you couldn't deny that it was a little painful as you tried to readjust. Not that Leo was going to complain, it wasn't as painful to him as you thought at first.
Once you figured out where and how to aim, your endeavor was much easier. Leo couldn't help but stare as you found your stride, enjoying how much you were enjoying yourself. He definitely enjoyed the view he had as bounced on and grinded into his dick. The way you were moaning was more than telling about how close you were to finishing.
Knowing he was also close, Leo did his best to lift you at the last second; ignoring the disappointed look on your face as you swung off him. Not that he was going to leave you disappointed, kissing up and down your neck, flashing little puppy-eyed looks between kisses.

Week 5
So far, the spreads that I am working on are going well. The first 2 spreads looked a bit wonky, but I had a really good foundation. Again, for my magazine I am doing a series of short stories so it will be one big anthology piece. I want to look into different header fonts. Nothing too crazy but something that is bolder and really the opposition of the line weight in my illustrations. I think I focus too much on my illustrations and text having the same line weight. When in reality that is a good area to show some contrast in the spreads. I also want to experiment with different type placements. Today i am going to do another round of research for interesting spreads. They will look much more polished for the next critique, and I will also be experimenting with color.
I really liked the visual brain dumping idea that the reading went over. I may incorporate that into an illustration for another short stories. I do think the rhetorical figures concept applied directly into the short story that I am editing now. Each character’s attributes are definitely represented by a fruit. I haven’t thought about making icons for my magazine yet, but if I have time I may go back and make one for each short story since that’s how everything will be sectioned off. I have also never heard of sandboxing before, and I define think it’s something I want to utilize in the future, possibly within this project.
