ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS S2 BTS VIDEO! :)❤ 🐍😊
Tumblr media
David: Good Omens 2 will be once more unto the breach...
Tumblr media
Michael: The kind of world that Neil and Terry Pratchett created here. It's... it seems to be expanding out into the world in all kinds of unexpected and and truly joyful ways.
Tumblr media
Douglas Mackinnon (the directior): If Season one was a comedy about the End of the World, Season Two is a comedy about the beginning of everything else.
Tumblr media
Miranda Richardson (demon Shax): The Bromance is continuing.
Tumblr media
Doon Mackichan (Archangel Michael): What a cast, is all I can say, incredible, incredible cast.
Tumblr media
Liz Carr (angel Saraqael): But of course a script of Good Omens is a whole different thing because anything can happen.
Tumblr media
Shelley Con (Prince of Hell Beelzebub): There's always a smirk somewhere around the corner in a Good Omens script.
Tumblr media
Quelin Sepulveda (angel Muriel): I had no idea what to expect, where this character was gonna go...
Liz: I feel quite honored that when they were thinking of the realms of sarcasm they thought of me.
Tumblr media
Gloria Obianyo (angel Uriel): Seven-year-old me is like, 'Oh my God! This is the stuff of dreams!'
Tumblr media
Maggie Service (human Maggie): A whole Fantastical Universe of joy that we just get to playing and you'll get to watch.
Tumblr media
Tim Downie (Mr Brown): I am immeasurably, immeasurably excited.
Tumblr media
Jon Hamm (Archangel Gabriel / Jim): You know I was very pleased when when I was brought back to be a part of that story.
Tumblr media
Neil Gaiman: Ppeople are excited and I'm working so hard to tell them absolutely nothing. I'm very lucky because Michael Sheen and David Tennant love Crowley and Aziraphale. I think the first moment that I saw David and Michael acting together... all of a sudden there was Crowley and there was Aziraphale, it was like seeing two friends who I hadn't seen for years.
Tumblr media
David: There's something about the way Neil sees the mundane that is extraordinary and there's something about the way things filter through his imagination and of course in this world it also sprinkled with the imagination of Terry Pratchett and those two together created this cocktail that is it's unlike anything you've seen anywhere else and yet it feels utterly familiar.
Michael: And they both have a sense of the absurdity of what it is to be a human.
Tumblr media
Rob Wilkins: When you've got David and Michael in front of the camera David and Michael evaporate and you have Crowley in Aziraphale and that relationship it needed it needed interrogating more and of course we all know that Terry and Neil had conversations about what the sequel would be and Neil has taken that and he's blown it up in a way that the viewers are just going to love so what would Terry think? Terry would pat Neil on the back and he would push Good Omens forward, he would break a bottle of champagne over its bows and be absolutely delighted and I know that, I'm the one person on Earth who's been entrusted to know that for certain and I promise you Terry would be absolutely delighted.
Tumblr media
David: We've got some cast members coming back, returning but playing different parts which is a lovely little addition to things isn't it, so Miranda Richardson is back not playing the same role as Season One, she's now Shax, my replacement - Crowley's replacement on Earth.
Tumblr media
Neil: Shelley Conn came in as Beelzebub and it feels in a weird way kind of like a Doctor Who Regeneration. We have a new demon called Furfur played by Rheece Shearsmith who was our Shakespeare in Season One.
Tumblr media
David: Nina and Maggie were two of the Sisters in Season One, The nunnery of Doom, and now they are two characters imaginatively called Nina and Maggie.
Tumblr media
Maggie: In season one really it was just me and the nuns, it was the nun gang, so to actually get to meet Aziraphale and Crowley... I hadn't been prepared for how delightful Aziraphale is.
Neil: Season Two begins about threem four years after the events of Season One.
Michael: Aziraphale and Crowley now are, you know, out on their own, they're.. they're a team to themselves.
Neil: Everything changes when Aziraphale gets an unexpected visitor.
Michael: A familiar face comes along with a mystery that needs solving and as Aziraphale and Crowley attempt to solve that mystery they realize that there are much more terrifying things ahead than they've had to deal with in the past. That involves having to go back through history as well to get clues as to what might be going on.
David: When we go back into these stories set within Aziraphale and Crowley's personal history there are moments within those stories where where their relationships sort of pivots or develops in some way. Himself and Aziraphale I think rely on each other even more in season two than they did in Season One because they are by necessity and by circumstance they're a they're a double act that nobody else can join.
Michael: It's extraordinary to see how important these characters and this story have become to a lot of people and how much people enjoy expressing themselves through art, through fan fiction.
David: I went to a Comic-Con and the amount of Crowleys and Aziraphales that I saw everywhere, the cosplaying just took off, and always in twos, which was joyous because of course the characters in my mind only exist in relation to each other. They are the Ying and the Yang.
Michael: It's such a... I think it's such a compliment and I think Neil feels the same way as well.
Maggie: Always clever Neil Gaiman, isn't he?
Nina: Yeah yeah, you'd have to sort of admit that at some point, yeah-
Maggie: He's quite good at his job.

I think Aziraphale was planning to make a move at the party.
so I went into good omens s2 actively looking up spoilers because I couldn’t cope with watching it and not knowing what the end of the season would have in store.
I therefore found it REALLY interesting seeing how Aziraphale behaves at the start of his party, considering I knew how he responded to Crowley.
One instance we see this is how furtive and coquettish he is when he tells Crowley to ‘wait and see’ (seen below). Like there’s a surprise for Crowley, as well. It’s actively flirtatious.
Tumblr media
This is the face of a man who is *bashful*. This is a teenager before a school dance. He is excited about Nina and Maggie and nervous and he is living variously through them, of course. I also, genuinely, think he was planning something to do with Crowley. Like, this is the face of a man who has thought to himself, ‘I’m going to show Crowley how I feel about him, and he doesn’t even know it!!!”
more under the cut:
Then of course we have the DANCE SCENE. This is an explicitly romantic affair that Aziraphale has orchestrated. It’s clear that both Aziraphale and Crowley are projecting massively onto Maggie and Nina, consciously or not. He’s designed this evening to be a meet-cute/match-making event, and Crowley knows this. So yeah, it’s really transparent what Aziraphale’s doing when he asks Crowley to dance.
Thing is, I don’t think he’s being oblivious here. I don’t even think he’s planning on just taking a risk. I think this is Aziraphale making a move. This is Aziraphale being wholly himself, happy, silly, playful, vulnerable, and openly affectionate with Crowley.
That’s why when Crowley’s trying to warn him that something’s wrong, he ignores it-- it’s scuppering his plans to sweep Crowley off his feet! This evening is meant to be perfect!
Let’s look at the dance invitation moment:
Tumblr media
^ The serious look in his eyes here. Like he’s steeling himself to just make that leap of faith and be brave. Knowing that Crowley will probably think he’s taking the piss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ the innocent vulnerability of this moment. Tell me this isn’t a much younger Aziraphale asking his crush to dance with him at prom. He’s been planning this and he so desperately wants it to be like how he’s imagined it, but he’s also terrified. Look at how nervous he is! He’s being so brave. You know he’s thinking ‘It’s finally happening! I’m doing it!’
Tumblr media
^ a very blurry image of Aziraphale’s nervous little giggle as he takes Crowley’s hand and drags him over for a dance. He’s absolutely buzzing of the anticipation and nervous energy and the butterflies! He’s so happy and so YOUNG here and it is so so pure. god the little laugh he makes as well-- like he knows it’s forbidden, that it’s cheeky and silly, that he’s living his lil Jane Austen dream here.
Ok, so then we have the moment with Beelzebub and Gabriel. We all have foamed at the mouth at how he looks at Crowley here when he realises that they can run off to Alpha Centauri, too. And that it’s possible for them. When he instinctively grabs Crowley’s arm... good lord.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s like Aziraphale’s dream has come true here. He is seeing validation of what he has started to plan. He’s seeing that this isn’t just a pipe dream that he’s indulging in. He can be happy with Crowley!
Then of course, Metatron comes along and offers what he thinks -- in his abuse-victim mind-- is the perfect alternative. By going to heaven and bringing Crowley with him, he’s pleasing everyone! (Right?) ((I will discuss this in another post...)
I mean, this is literally all just conjecture, obviously. I am wearing my silly little tin foil hat. but when you pair all of this with the fact that he literally gazes with heart eyes at Crowley for the whole season, is pretty flirty, lets Crowley come to his rescue... we are seeing an Aziraphale here who is acutely aware of his crush on Crowley.

Something I forgot on the first watch though of season 2 and which I think we all forgot but is a big part of his story in season 2
Aziraphale is a lying liar who lies
He tells big lies like about the sword and Jobs children and he's the one who suggests the plans for the execution from the prophecy
He tells lies specifically to Crowley all the time.
"Oh I'm in such danger please save me big scary demon!"
"noooo I'm not driving your car slow or making it yellow what are you talking about"
But also big stuff like the book and his feelings
He lies by omission and lies because he thinks it's the right thing to do and he lies to himself.
Crowley in Season One claims he's never lied to Aziraphale despite Aziraphale's jabby little comment but Aziraphale never claimed that he didn't lie to Crowley
When we cut from Nina and Maggie telling Crowley to get his shit together to Aziraphale and the Metatron Aziraphale does not look happy
He doesn't look excited and giddy like he does by the point he gets to the bookshop. He looks... stressed, nervous. He has his "I'm talking to heaven and don't like it" smile on. He looks at the bookshop longingly
And when he parts with the Metatron you can actually see him straightening his shoulders and putting on a little smile and getting himself into the giddy state he presents to Crowley
Aziraphale was not excited for this opportunity and he didn't think that Crowley would accept and take his offer. He knew he would be unhappy
Also the way he's telling the story he's selling it as "oh I'm excited and flustered" but it sounds a lot like him "explaining" human birth in the Job story line to the Archangels
There are false starts and he's got that same nervous energy
So what I'm saying is because we didn't see the actual conversation and offer I don't think we can trust a damn thing Aziraphale says at the end of episodes six
I think there are truths in his account and I think there are huge gaps in his knowledge about the situation (because Crowley didn't tell him) but Aziraphale isn't naïve really. He plays at it, choses to pretend. But he isn't really
There is more to what happened in that conversation with the Metatron. I'm convinced of that
(side note cause I'm watching that scene as I write this: in that Kiss Aziraphale really wants to grab Crowley back and give into it and is deliberately holding back)
And once the Metatron comes back he is immediately lying about how he feels again
Aziraphale is a lying liar who lies and we should all remember that

@teddybearbutchh and i might have just worked out something whilst we were screaming, once again, about This Face:
Tumblr media
because it's practically obscene, right?! aziraphale you need to rein it in, babes, now is not the time-
-but the thing is why aziraphale makes this face which, arguably, is relatively anomalous when compared with other faces he's thrown at crowley when crowley isn't paying attention.
on one hand, you could take it down the horny route - the look is certainly heated enough (the eyes, the heavy breathing, the gulp) - and consider that aziraphale is suddenly struck with the 'epiphany' that if crowley is an expert on love... does that include all aspects of it? 👀 possibly. but it's likely more than that:
aziraphale demonstrates in s1 that he (im not including other angels in this empathetic superpower) is able to feel ambient love - and it's indicated similarly that crowley cannot. there have been theories - that i somewhat subscribe to - that aziraphale can't detect crowley's own love "for the same reason people in times square can't see America.", but it's equally plausible that crowley as a demon cannot emit love... either way, it appears to be a revelation on aziraphale's part that crowley might... just might... feel and understand love on a fundamental level
this is also fresh out of ep2 when aziraphale is toying with the idea to hold a ball for nina and maggie, to make them fall in love like They Do In Jane Austen... and yet, now, he's considering whether he could do the same for crowley? now that he 'knows' that crowley feels/understands love, he can unleash all of his own at this ball, and they'll swan off into the sunset because now they can (with complete disregard for everything else going to shit around him, bless this little eldritch horror)
this conversation, as robyn💕 pointed out, is post-"our shop/car" conversation. could it be, from aziraphale's perspective, that crowley has possibly been picking up on aziraphale's hints all along, that aziraphale wants to share his life with crowley - and the vice versa - and that if he confesses properly to crowley, crowley might just accept it? and want the same?
this is only reinforced by this Look being sandwiched between crowley being hesitant about giving aziraphale the keys, and then immediately afterwards chucking them at him like its nothing... crowley must trust aziraphale, must accept and reciprocate at least some part of what aziraphale is trying to tell him; his efforts aren't for nothing. these two have never communicated anything like this verbally - for many different reasons - and why stop now, when aziraphale's actions seem to be doing the trick?
it would further, theoretically, explain why aziraphale is not only in such a good mood going up to edinburgh (sure, he's off to go play miss marple too - the dream) - he's literally going to go solve this whole mystery like a cool detective, come back, send gabriel off on his merry way, confess properly to crowley like he deserves, and then they can get started on the rest of their lives together
it also gives some justification as to why aziraphale feels it appropriate to change the colour of the bentley; we know it's a manifestation of his love for crowley, but this gives it even more depth. he's so excited! he gets to come back and hold a ball - they'll do some formal dancing, crowley will realise that he's completely misunderstood aziraphale, and that aziraphale is actually deeply in love with him! works every time apparently!
look, The Face could be something of nothing - but its nonetheless really interesting when you consider that aziraphale's sudden enthusiasm for the ball might have been encouraged by this line in particular; that crowley's bluff might have just been the undeniable green light, as it were, that aziraphale was waiting for.

Everyone's entitled to their own views, but I feel like the folks who keep saying things like oh, Crowley must have felt so angry seeing Beelzebub with Gabriel, he must be so bitter about them, etc. are really underestimating how much Crowley loves love. In fact, that's probably one of his deepest "flaws" as a demon.
He can huff, puff, and deny it all he likes - because he's a demon and he's not nice - but we've seen him repeatedly acting on the notion of love. As an angel, he was so in love with his creations that he couldn't bear the idea of it all being destroyed in 6,000 years. Even after Falling, those feelings don't fade; he works with Aziraphale to prevent Armageddon from happening. He becomes enamored with Aziraphale when the latter commits what could be viewed as an act of love by gifting his flaming sword to Adam when he and Eve are cast out from the Garden of Eden. His general love of humanity sees him scolding Elspeth into living and "being properly good" rather than committing suicide over the loss of Wee Morag (an act that literally sees him dragged back to Hell and punished, no less). He's so excited when he thinks his rain plot is working on Maggie and Nina and they're about to vavoom. Those are a few of the examples my tired ass can come up with at the moment, and I'm sure there are other instances throughout history that we've never seen, too. But Crowley? Big fan of love.
Even if it's his former Horrible Boss and His Royal Smugness, Crowley isn't going to begrudge them being in love. He may have been shocked by the revelation, but if he had any lingering doubts about it being real, then Aziraphale's reaction would have confirmed it. Outside of Heaven and Hell, duties and titles, they're just Gabriel and Beelzebub, an angel and a demon. Knowing firsthand how love can change and impact people, Crowley may have also realized that Gabriel and Beelzebub were no longer the same angel and demon he'd known previously. Does that absolve them from their previous behavior and actions? No. But it does, perhaps, make them more relatable when viewed against the larger systems at play in the Good Omens universe. A little empathy can go a long way towards healing some resentment. I would even argue that Crowley had let go of some of his resentment towards Gabriel when he told him to jump out a window, but I digress.
Regardless, Crowley sure as hell wouldn't suggest his dream getaway (Alpha Centauri) to people that he despised or resented. Why would you want to risk ever being neighbors with beings you loathed? Having neighbors at all can be bad enough without all that nonsense.
Now, would Crowley feel bitter about not getting that same opportunity to run off with Aziraphale? Sure, that's possible. He made himself vulnerable and got rejected; that stings. But I think the majority of his resentment would be placed elsewhere: on himself, for what he may perceive as his poor timing ("it's always too late"); maybe a little bit towards Aziraphale, for being too wrapped up in the ideals of Heaven ("the side of truth, light, and good"); and almost certainly on Heaven and Hell in general, for being the larger systems behind this mess. Because really, all the angels and demons are victims of those systems in some way. Feeling some bitterness towards Aziraphale doesn't negate the love that he feels for him, either. It makes his heartbreak all the more human, really. "How can someone as clever as you be so stupid?"
But hating on people in love, even when you've had a turbulent history with those people? Nah. Anthony J Crowley, a Definitely Not-Nice Demon, is a simp for love, and I love him for that.

Oh my god I have so many emotions rn.
Aziraphale has always wanted to do Good in the world. One of the through lines for this season was how powerless he felt during his time on Earth - with Job, with Elspeth and Morag, to a lesser extent with Nina and Maggie. He and Crowley witness so much suffering over the millennia, and he just wants - he needs - to help.
But he also needs to believe that Heaven wants to help. Because if Heaven aren't the good guys, what does that say about him?
And then the Apocalypse starts, and Aziraphale realises he loves the Earth and the life he made there, and Heaven doesn't actually care, so he fights. But he and Crowley also fight, because they don't understand how the other is feeling.
Crowley is scared, desperate to keep him and Aziraphale safe, so his plan is to get them both as far away from Earth as possible. But that hurts Aziraphale because from his view point, Crowley just wants to give up. After everything they've witnessed together!
Aziraphale is scared, and desperately clings to the idea that Heaven still wants to help, so his plan is to get both of them under Heavenly protection - which is why he keeps bringing up the whole "you were an angel once" notion. Not because he particularly wants Crowley to be an angel, but because it would be a way they could be safe and together and it wouldn't be against the rules. But that hurts Crowley because being an angel or a demon just isn't the point to him, and he thought that, after everything, Aziraphale might have realised that.
The Apocalypse doesn't happen, and they can breathe, but they also still don't talk about their feelings so they still fundamentally misunderstand each other.
When the Metatron offers Aziraphale a promotion, he initially balks. He even states outright that he doesn't want to return to Heaven. But then the Metatron goes for Aziraphale's weakness - Crowley. There is an offer on the table that will allow he and Crowley to be together, to be safe, and to do it by the rules.
And this is why Aziraphale is excited. He has an opportunity to help, to actually do something about all the suffering he's witnessed (or at least the Metatron has convinced him that's the case), and he can do it with Crowley.
And here is where their misunderstanding culminates.
Aziraphale thinks he's found a perfect way for them to be a force for good - after everything he and Crowley have seen, of course he'd want to be at his side helping. More importantly, if Crowley is an angel again then there's nothing to be scared of at all, they can be safe and together.
Because another through line in this season is how terrified all the angels are of not being Good. We see it when Aziraphale and Crowley first meet as angels, where he gets increasingly more nervous the more Crowley questions things. We see it after the Job incident, where Aziraphale breaks down when he thinks he's been condemned to Hell. We see it when Muriel freaks out after realizing they've been helping Crowley, when Uriel asks the Metatron if they've done something wrong. They're terrified, and even after making his own way, Aziraphale can't shake that old habit.
He doesn't even feel safe in the bookshop. When Maggie and Nina ask him why there are so many fire extinguishers in the shop, Aziraphale alludes to the fire, and seems to almost dissociate for a second before pushing through it. And of course, Hell came for them anyway.
To Aziraphale, returning to Heaven makes sense as the safest option.
Of course, that hurts Crowley, because he can't understand why he's bending over backwards to placate a family that treated him terribly. Crowley clearly holds a lot of resentment for the way Aziraphale was treated by Heaven. More than that, though, Crowley thought that perhaps Aziraphale had realised being an angel or a demon didn't matter, but it would seem that Aziraphale needs him to be an angel to consider keeping him around.
That's not what Aziraphale meant, and he can't understand why Crowley isn't grabbing the chance to make a difference, and - more importantly - the chance for them to be safe.
So now Crowley has to make his confession - his attempt at putting his heart on his sleeve. Except that now, to Aziraphale, it just sounds like a ploy to get him to leave Earth, just like when he wanted them to run off to Alpha Centauri. It sounds like he just wants them to give up again. And that hurts.
And then Crowley kisses him! And for Crowley, it's a combination of "I truly am putting everything on the line here" and "this is my last chance" and for one second Aziraphale melts into it, before fear sets in, and some anger, because to him it feels like Crowley did it just to get him to abandon Heaven.
They both just are fundamentally at different places and completely misunderstand what the other is feeling. And it's fucking HEARTBREAKING.
They need to communicate and they need to finally understand what is in the other's heart. They love each other, and they need each other, and holy fuck I need season 3 like yesterday. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

A "Season Three" Fic to Heal the Soul
I know I've posted this fic before, since I wrote it last summer. I had a conversation with someone yesterday who was feeling sort of hopeless about the third (and final) season of Good Omens. I sent him my fic and got a message from him this morning. He'd stayed up reading it all night. I hassled him about it: "It's almost as long as the Good Omens novel! You have work today, you idiot! This is an April Fool's prank, right?"
It wasn't. He said that no matter what happened in S3, he'd be able to at least think of this fic's ending as the "comfort food" he wanted...the South Downs ending, not as a "happily ever after" but as a real conclusion: complicated, warm, and human (or at least, as human as two immortal beings can get).
He said he'd wanted to read it back when I wrote it, but he just couldn't get past the word count...but he told me today that if he'd known where it was going, he would have been more likely to start the journey. So under the read-more, I've put the section he suggested. It's not the whole epilogue - just a snippet - but he said this was the part he needed to read to settle his ambiguous anxieties about S3...
(you can read the whole thing here:)
So again – it wasn’t perfect.
Crowley had to teach himself how to want things, rather than just avoid the things he didn’t want. Aziraphale had to teach himself that his opinion wasn’t necessarily the correct opinion simply because it was his own. They were both still learning to de-code their interactions with each other. It was a challenge, after so long, with such high stakes. Still, they were learning. The lads helped. Nina and Maggie helped.
They helped each other, mostly.
The cottage sometimes sat quiet for weeks at a time. Crowley would occasionally let loose the incorporeal infernal core of himself out into the universe, slithering out among the stars he’d once helped to build (after carefully depositing his corporeal form safely in the spare bedroom…it made Aziraphale deeply uncomfortable to leave it just lying empty in their own bed). Aziraphale often lent a hand in Heaven (and, on occasion, Hell). He also spent a great deal of time in London dealing with all his business in and around Whickber Street, accepting with a begrudging respect the records that Maggie foisted off on him as he learned to become comfortable with change. (The ZZ Ward vinyls had become his favorite…Crowley had developed an almost Pavlovian response to them, in fact, as her music seemed to trigger something demanding in Aziraphale. Crowley had learned to hydrate, when the angel put on a ZZ Ward album.)
Still, they would both return. The cottage would light up again, full of music and laughter and all the other sounds of life on Earth. Aziraphale would discover new and exciting endearments for Crowley, just to watch him sputter. (Sunflower was still Aziraphale’s favorite, closely followed by honeybee. Sunflower himself refused to comment on the matter.) Crowley would put too much honey in Aziraphale’s tea just to taste it in his kisses later. Aziraphale would pick bouquets of wildflowers just to see Crowley’s sunflower-golden eyes light up, even as he complained of his bees being doomed to starvation, if you keep this up, angel, honestly.
Aziraphale never did get his favorite old waistcoat and jacket back from the park, after he had so carefully taken them off to avoid ruining them as he fought to Crowley’s rescue. The clothes were long gone by the time he was finally able to get back to retrieve them. Crowley, the darling, had searched online for them at antique clothing auctions and had scoured all the thrift shops for miles, but with no luck. Aziraphale had kissed him and thanked him for the trouble, but told him to give up the search.
After all, nothing lasts forever.
No thing lasts forever.
Luckily, love is not a thing at all.
Love is an action verb.

Obligatory sorry if you're fed up with GO2 asks!
I'm a new fan of the show (like, a few weeks after season 2 came out a friend lent me their Prime acc to binge watch everything) and haven't read the book at all but!
It's like in S1 Crowley and Aziraphale exist in the world and in S2 the world exists for them kind of,, in S1 the point of view shifted almost constantly and at the end the plotlines converged together in a cathartic moment for all of our beloved characters, but in S2 it's just,, present Aziracrow and past Aziracrow,, which is fine, I liked that they showcased the way they were and are with each other but it would've been better if there were less of these moments.
Talking about these, I saw that a lot of people on Tumblr were excited to see Crowley as an angel and it could've been good but. I don't get why Aziraphale HAD to be here, or more like HAD to interact with him and remember/recognize him later, and I'm not really thrilled about the fact that Crowley is implied to be someone important! It just feels like Crowley and Aziraphale aren't equals anymore ; Crowley Always Knows Best he admittedly was someone pretty important in heaven before and he feels more Holier Than Thou than the literal angel he's with?? I get that he Fell so he already knows for sure that Heaven is corrupt but,, I don't know, I feel like Aziraphale lost agency and just Can't Do Anything Right anymore! (And Crowley Can't Do Anything Wrong anymore either??)
I found the flashbacks for ineffable bureaucracy quite adorable but it was all too sudden! It feels the Gabriel mystery just wasn't progressing at all during the season and at the last minute, ta-dahh here's an exposition dumb on what happened, no build-up for the now canon pairing. Not a big fan of amnesia in general but even less when the amnesic character just gets everything back for a dramatic reveal scene, maybe I would have felt like things actually happened in this season if Gabriel was slowly able to access some memories. We could have had the build-up of him and Beelzebub planning on escaping together in the flashbacks! (And I mean, I get that there was the fly and the song but,, It didn't really affect Gabriel/Jim so it doesn't feel,,, enough?)
I was completely indifferent to Maggie and Nina. Also could've worked better as a separate POV from Aziracrow. I just didn't get enough scenes to care for them or feel any chemistry. Nina was already in a relationship, and Maggie was just crushing on her. They didn't really get together at the end but they're involved enough in the idea of them getting together in the future to give Crowley love advice and for Maggie to wait for Nina. I just don't really get it? If the goal was Maggie and Nina getting together, then they needed more time and scenes. If the goal was that they would not get together because Aziraphale and Crowley were trying to force them to be, then why saying that they "only needed a little push," that Maggie is "willing to wait for Nina," why both give love advice to a guy they barely know when they barely know each other too?
Anyways, I really liked the show (and am still eager for a potential S3)! But I feel like Neil Gaiman's writing is missing a similar style to Terry's (though obviously I wouldn't know what his writing is like since I. Haven't read the book nor other books from this/both of these actually authors), and important reoccurring characters besides Aziraphale and Crowley.
Yes, I agree with a lot of your points! And it's very interesting for me to hear that we share a lot of the same opinions although coming from different places -- being an older book fan and being a newer show-only fan. "S1 Crowley and Aziraphale exist in the world and in S2 the world exists for them" is exactly right, and similar to what I complained about not liking them "being the main characters". And I completely agree with that even if we see Angel!Crowley, Aziraphale doesn't have to be there, and also not liking that Crowley was somebody important before. And yeah, I've said it before but the Gabriel mystery and even the Nina/Maggie romance have potential, but ends up falling flat. Thank you for the ask! Apology accepted.

sorry for saying i was going to live blog my reactions to the show, i over-estimated my attention span and under-estimated my excitement lmao
anyway so um What The Ever-Loving Fuck
ineffable bureaucracy is… real?? like really actually real?? what the fuck?!?!! i thought it was just a crack ship but i guess neil saw it and went huh that’s pretty nice actually because THEYRE REALLY ACTUALLY REAL OH MY GOD. i will say despite being really cute, i thought they were a bit cringe at the end, it could’ve been less lovey dovey because those characters just… aren’t? like that?? but the buildup with them meeting up was absolutely GORGEOUS and so cute and so romantic and just… yeah i love them. i think they probably would have been a bit more awkward / reluctant to admit feelings rather than “baby i love you so much you are my heaven you are my hell my darling sweet beloved” but hey. they were cute. NEW SHIP LET’S GO
nina and maggie were really really cute because of the actresses’ chemistry but pretty underdeveloped in my opinion. still i really enjoyed when they were on screen together, i just had different expectations (i was expecting like a romcom, azriaphale and crowley trying to put them together throughout the season, which was eluded to but then just… didn’t happen i guess). still they were very sweet and i really really liked them
saraquel is great, michael’s hair was terrible, uriel is the hottest character, beelzebub’s new look was cool as fuck, i love the repeated gag of that one demon who just seems to have infinite versions of himself and REECE SHEARSMITH DEMON CHARACTER LET’S GO!?!?!! i was not expecting him to have a significant role again and he was so good, furfur is literally amazing and as an inside no 9 fan seeing him and steve pemberton was soooo much fun
we’re all agreeing that the flashbacks were the best part right?? because they were the best part
shax is my silly little pathetic little skrunkly who talks like a constipated snake and looks like a milf wearing leather that squeaks when she moves. truly a blorbo to behold
crowley’s confession was the most perfect in-character thing i have ever seen and i am SO happy with the way it was written and performed, him almost crying and then grunting in frustration i just i can’t i w AAAAAAAAA IT WAS PERFECT
aziraphale’s realisation was also perfect. sheen is so freaking good at being adorable and smitten
the plot was… odd. every actor was amazing, the visuals were amazing, the jokes were hilarious, every episode was extremely enjoyable to watch… but it just felt a little half-baked to me. every scene was tight and again, really fun, but the overarching plot was kind of…??? i’m not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination but i’m allowed to have an opinion, and my opinion is pretty damn mixed when it comes to the season arc. there’s obviously going to be a season 3 (i say, literally begging neil gaiman on my knees while screaming and sobbing) and so i think season 2 felt so slow and uneventful because it’s supposed to be a kind of bridge between big plotlines. because so much interesting stuff was picked up and then simply put down again. or kind of just… left to float aimlessly in the air and make me confused as to why and how some of it even happened. but honestly i trust neil and the other writers and creatives so… season 3 here we come! overall i really enjoyed it a lot, but the (modern day) plot was just a bit of a weird one for me
AND FINALLY TO ADDRESS THE FUCKING ENORMOUS ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. IF I HAD A GODDAMN NICKEL-

Ok things i loved about season two that have nothing to do with ineffable husbands because yea we’re not talking about it:
It was so so deliciously queer. Neil saw reviews for the sandman saying it was too queer and said hold my beer we can do one better
All of aziraphale’s neighbours! Just visibly queer! Obviously Maggie and Nina but also the man in the magic shop and his genderqueer spouse! Just random men zira meets at a cemetery!
Also we got confirmation that as much as heaven sucks it’s not homophobic. Aziraphale told them that he used a large miracle to make Maggie and Nina fall in love and they couldn’t care less
Canon they/them beelzebub! Also yea I have to admit their romance with Gabriel is really fucking cute (and if I see anyone calling them a ‘het’ couple I will be going for your kneecaps)
They/them god!
Crowley straight up saying that he’s not a man! I don’t know much about historical clothes but the resurrectionist outfit has a more feminine silhouette and generally looks pretty androgynous for a XIXth century outfit .Also just everything about Crowley. He was so excited about stars!
All of the disabled angels! (And presumably demons? Hell is dark and it’s hard to see all the details) they are angels! Presumably they can do whatever they want with their corporations! And one of the most powerful angels uses a wheelchair!
Also fat characters! And middle aged characters! Who get to be attractive and desirable! Also just people who look like people.
There’s a sex worker who just is a part of community and is not villainised! The only joke is that when she explains what she does everyone speaks like they’re in a Jane Austen novel because aziraphale is throwing a ball!
Season two was so good and so much fun and if we don’t get the third season I WILL eat my computer!

More random out of order thoughts from Good Omens season 2:
(Bear in mind these are my raw brain mush and not fully fleshed out meta analysis. I just have lots of thoughts about things that I may explore more at a later date but for now here are things that stuck out)
(Spoilers ahoy, turn back now if you don’t want to wash up on spoiler beach)
Part 1
You cannot convince me the fire safety precautions added to the bookshop weren’t Crowley’s idea. They absolutely were.
Battery operated candles and a million fire extinguishers? That man shaped being has seen exactly how books can go up in flames and he is not doing it again, thank you very much. I’m convinced he brought them to the bookshop himself and oversaw the removal of every match and regular candle there, or possibly just miracle-converted all of them.
Thinking about Crowley saying “you can’t leave this bookshop” in the last scene and that he just cannot imagine it happening. He can’t conceive of a world with the angel without his shop, or vice versa. To him, Aziraphale belongs there, and Crowley belongs with Aziraphale, and so they both belong at the bookshop.
It’s interesting to me that, while Crowley’s usually the one pushing for change, Aziraphale is the one who says “nothing lasts forever”.
You can tell Crowley’s gotten a lot more comfortable with both Aziraphale and the bookshop since s1. We know he doesn’t really consider the Mayfair flat to be home, and I think that’s because home is Aziraphale, and subsequently the bookshop. Even when he’s living out of his car, he still has that, and I think that makes leaving the flat a lot easier, because it’s just a place, but home is his angel and his angel’s shop.
I also think, a little bit, that when he says “you can’t leave this bookshop” he means “you can’t leave me”… aaaand that when he says in ep1 that what he needs is for Gabriel to be nowhere near him or “the precious, peaceful, fragile existence that I have carved out for myself here” he means “no where near you.”
I don’t know if I can even BEGIN to talk about the kiss. I’ve currently only watching it once and I was on the floor in tears. Crowley was SO BRAVE, and he was so scared, and I feel like more than anything the kiss was his final attempt at finding understanding between them again. He tried to say it with words and it didn’t work, it wasn’t enough. He struggles through verbalizing how he feels so much already, and especially here. He physically can’t seem to get through any of the sentences he starts but he tries anyway, and Aziraphale still isn’t seeing it for what it is or meeting him in the middle. To me the kiss is ‘words aren’t working, I’m out of time and options and I need you to understand’ when words fail, Crowley is action.
I wonder if Aziraphale has let himself really accept how he feels fully for Crowley. He knows he loves him, but does he know how? I mean of course he knows, but has he let himself actually think about it? He seems so surprised, so floored, when Crowley kisses him, and so completely terrified of what it would mean to accept it. Like, the hand on his lips after and the way he’s so unprepared to acknowledge that part of their relationship. It’s been 3 years since Armageddidn’t and yet neither of them are fully ready to directly acknowledge it until Maggie and Nina press Crowley on it.
The Bentley playing good old fashioned lover boy was on my bucket list for season two and I SPECIFICALLY hoped it would be on his way to the bookshop. WAHOO. I’M HAPPY.
Would I be happier if it was playing while he had flowers and chocolate and a picnic basket in the backseat and was on his way to go pick up Aziraphale? Yes, yes I would, but that’s beside the point.
Aziraphale is so like… giggly this season I love it. His little excited hands and all the sounds he makes it’s all so good A+ Micheal. He gets so happy about his magic act I could cry. The little “woohoo” when their backstage? KILLED ME. His “the west end—The WEST END” I love him. The whole thing with the dancing and his little giggles when he grabs Crowley’s hands was the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. It’s like they said “No, you CAN be fluffier, make Aziraphale as fluffy as possible, please” and he DID.
Speaking of dancing… THE I WAS WRONG DANCE?! I don't think I'm ever getting over that for the rest of my life. Im assuming because it seems like only Aziraphale has had to do it in the past means that Crowley probably came up with it? Like I’m just imagining he never thought he would have to do it, so he made it so completely ridiculous. Also, Aziraphale was so salty about it? Like boy has been keeping track.
The look on Crowley’s face when Nina says “other people’s love lives are always more complicated than our own” I CAN’T. The way they’re both putting so much into Maggie and Nina as a way of taking the focus off of them and what everything that’s happening means for their relationship is wonderfully done. (Also he immediately gets drunk and yells at Gabriel. Like, he’s having feelings)
The way that Aziraphale looks at Muriel makes me want to cry. He just seems so compassionate, and sort of like he’s looking at a mirror of himself in the early days? A bit? I just love how soft he is with them and how much their naivety clearly effects him.
CROWLEY SITTING ON HIS CHAIR WAS EVERYTHING I HOPED FOR.
Aziraphale doesn’t eat anything this season and I’m not sure why but that makes me inexplicably sad? Neil please let the angel eat cake :/
Um… Crowley throwing books as a gag had me clutching my chest and cry laughing. I don’t know how to cope, really. Why was he holding the books in the first place? Just to look busy? Just too see how many he could carry? Is he re-shelving to make things even more confusing for customers? And what I really want to know is were any books actually harmed? Or did he make it so that they would all miraculously be alright? (I bet he did, the sap)
There is something very sweet about when he sees Gabriel dropping the book and figures out that he’s testing gravity, and then tells him about it. And then Gabriel asks him why. Like the idea of Crowley nurturing Gabriel’s curiosity and answering his questions is just very special to me I don’t know man.
I literally have more to say but it’s getting long again so idk maybe I’ll do a part three at some point.

✨Good Omens 2 Review✨
Tumblr media
There’s so much to say I don’t really know where to start. After watching it I feel utterly and deeply satisfied. I expected this season to be great and I’m not disappointed. It goes beyond my wildest dreams. It’s just perfect. The cinematography, the music, the acting, the writing, everything is just top class. There’s drama, comedy, epic and it all blends in together very harmoniously to create a brilliant piece of television.
I remember being super excited when S2 was announced and when we got the first on set photos but it was nothing compared to the immense joy I felt when I saw my favourite angel and demon back on my screen. It was like meeting up with friends after a long time, it felt just right, like coming home.
I really love how vibrant the colours are this season, I find it extremely pleasing aesthetically speaking. I love that we get to see more of street where the bookshop is and simply more of the bookshop itself. And I’m sure there’s more to reveal. A round of applause for the people who worked hard to build all the various locations in a studio!
Regarding the story itself, I love how it is written and how it unfolds. It is very much about Crowley and Aziraphale but the other characters really have the opportunity to shine no matter the amount of screen time they have. One of my favourite things about S1 was the cold open in episode 3 so I’m thrilled that we get that in S2 with the minisodes. They were brilliant so a big shoutout to the talented people who wrote them!
Now about the characters, can we talk about how fucking amazing they are? I’ll start with Miranda Richardson’s Shax. I LOVE her, a perfect mix of comedy and badass. It’s in tune with Madame Tracy, her character from S1, despite them being two different characters.
In the “returning actor, different character” category Nina and Maggie are just fabulous, I just love them. I really love the wonderful dynamic the characters and actresses have.
As for the new characters, especially Mrs. Sandwich, Mr. Brown, and Pat, they may not have had that much screen time but they were just brilliant and really funny. Still in the new characters category, I am very fond of Muriel and Saraqael. Muriel because they’re the sweetest cupcake ever and Saraqael because the sass is incredible. So a big shoutout to these two wonderful actresses! And also a big shoutout to Shelley Conn for nailing the role of Beelzebub.
Tumblr media
Now Crowley and Aziraphale, I didn’t think I could love those two idiots more than I already do but obviously I was wrong. And if anyone needed any more evidence that David Tennant and Michael Sheen are perfect for the roles then they should watch S2. I love how noticeable yet still subtle the changes in the characters and their relationship are. It’s just a natural progression. David and Michael already had incredible chemistry in S1 but in S2 it’s even more remarkable. Their off-screen friendship shines through and greatly contributes to making the connection between their characters even more genuine and believable. (I’ll write more about them/my theories later).
Tumblr media
Now I’d like to quickly talk about two of my favourite things this season: the opening scene and episode 3.
That opening scene was everything. I didn’t expect to see Angel Crowley but what a delightful surprise! I cried because he’s just gorgeous and innocent. The pure delight and excitement he feels about creating stars is just so precious. I’m glad we got to see it and I really hope we’ll get to see more eventually.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now episode 3 was just hilarious. The bits in Edinburgh had me in stitches. I’m beyond thrilled that David Tennant got to use his Scottish accent, it was music to my ears. And Crowley was just peak comedy. One of my favourite little details in that episode is the change in the telephone wallpaper, switching from the Union Jack to the Scottish flag. I see what you did there 👀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall, my mind is blown and my heart is half in pieces and half holding on as best as it can. This new season is a little gem. I laughed and I cried but overall my heart was filled with joy because I got to see my favourite characters again. I wasn’t worried about what this new season would be like but I’m still really pleased to see that it’s Good Omens at heart. And I’m sure Terry would love it. It is truly a labour of love. Made by people who love the story and characters for people who love them just as equally. But also people who love their craft and love to share it with people who are just as eager as them. There are so many details that are so meaningful. And the Easter eggs, I spotted a few of them and I know there are more for me to discover. I also want to give a big shoutout to the costume department who made the wonderful costumes they are truly marvellous. A round of applause to Peter Anderson Studios for their wonderful designs. And also a special mention to David Arnold and his team for the delightful music. The theme variation for the end titles of episode 3 have special place in my heart. Bless me bagpipes it was glorious!
And finally a heartfelt thank you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful people who made it all happen. Lots of love and gratitude from me. ♥️

GOOD OMENS SEASON 2 SPOILER AND ME TRYING TO COPE WITH IT
Long text, don't bother reading, I just literally have NO FRIENDS to talk to right now, bc mine are still watching...
Analyzing the S2 finale:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You know, I love both Aziraphale and Crowley, ofc sometimes I tend to go a liiiiittle bit more to Azi, but I can't like, "pick" one of them. And I'll tell you what, I think it's completely possible to keep loving a character and not agreeing with everything they do.
But when it comes to the end of season 2, I swear to you guys, I really got deep down hurt by Azi's decision, at first, and thought that he was marked forever in my heart negatively. Buuuut I knew what was going to happen BEFORE properly watching it, so I could like, process it and see it from another perspective, which I'll explain now.
I like the modified coffee theory, but as much as it BREAKS ME to say this, I believe more that yes, Aziraphale wanted to do what he did by his own, uninfluenced choice. Why? Because we can see - multiple times - that he has never actually left Heaven behind. It's a very central part of his construction as a being, I would say, specially his personality. He can acknowledge how Heaven's decisions are not always, in his judgment, alright, but he firmly believes this is something "ineffable". He is oblivious, and, as Crowley himself say, "pure of heart", and considering Crowley never actually told him how Heaven treated him when they switched bodies, I find it very hard to believe he could see any harm in them, or anyone actually, specially Crowley for all this years, even though he is a demon.
And he is extremely positive. I don't think this is bad, I just think that his optimistic point of view doesn't allow him to see that he is not a savior, that kindness doesn't always change things, that Heaven isn't this good and that Crowley isn't willing to be good, or bad, he just wants to be himself and mind his own business. Azi saw Crowley pre-fall so brightly, passionate and excited that he believes he can't be completely happy as a demon, because this shows a contradiction that is not easy to deal with if you believe everything is "fixable" and will be fine in the end (what does this even mean?). He takes actions believing in it, plus the fact that, like Maggie and Nina said, they don't communicate, at all, like in a proper way, exposing their beliefs and not just supposing what the other one is feeling, or thinking.
That is why I believe this finale brought a very necessary emotional impact, which, IF GOD ALLOWS A SEASON 3 (amen) could lead to a very interesting explore of this plot, character growth, and the acknowledge from both parts that they have a past, and a personality constitution that goes way beyond just their relationship. They have feelings, beliefs, and just the awesome love they feel for each other isn't enough to make things work, just like any relationship, you've got to deal with hard contradictions. I think both of them will suffer to understand that, and so will all of us, but I also believe that, even if love itself isn't enough to make everything okay, it's also a compass that leads you to remember that, if you love somemody so much, you also have to know how to let go of some things that are yours, and make it work.
Sorry about all that long talk, I feel better now. Maybe I should've written it in a diary only for my own personal suffering and coping, and it probably would be easier in my NATIVE LANGUAGE, but anyway, if you read it 'till here, may God bless you.

On the topic of dark grey Crowley though, I agree, and I think actually being seen as some sort of gallant hero type who makes mistakes but ultimately is good is the sort of reading of his character that would frustrate him. Crowley genuinely likes to fuck with people sometimes. When Muriel shows up Crowley can barely resist having a little fun at Muriel's expense and mocking them for being naive, and he's so excited to do it. Like I think that is the happiest we see Crowley all season. He does the paint-gun trick just for fun and can barely contain his laughter when Aziraphale freaks out, and bragging to Hell about his evil deeds constantly is a facet of his personality and something Aziraphale even scolds him for. That isn't all just for show, Crowley has a conscience, but he can still be a stinker. That said, in the same way Aziraphale has a hard time going a week without doing a good deed, you can tell Post-Retirement Crowley is also trying to refrain from some of his meaner habits in S2 with his "count to ten" stuff, and especially in his interactions with Jim. Like he's working on being better, but having a hard time not letting his temper get the best of him, or not being a little bit evil sometimes. That's how I read that quick look in the Bentley after his fight with Aziraphale when he takes off his glasses and looks exhausted. It to me reads a bit like; "I didn't handle that well." You can also see his growth at the end of the season. Like he actually listens to Nina and Maggie and takes them seriously when they tell him he needs to be more communicative, and he makes an effort to follow their advice. S1 Crowley would not have done that.
hi @oatmealaddiction, sorry for taking so long to reply to you!!!✨
this is... brilliant - you're absolutely right and i completely agree with you; he definitely seems to try getting a handle of himself in s2. there's a lot that he does in 2023 that shows that he's trying to be more gentle, conscious of his words/behaviour, and all-round a softer person. you've highlighted "count to ten" (and i'll add his immediate recognition of 'my bad' when he restores power to the coffeeshop), and how he interacts with jim, but also the way that he gently questions aziraphale about his 'naked man friend', how he interacts with muriel in the backroom and in heaven, and putting the shop back together before aziraphale comes back (firmly believe that this is the stress-cleaning as alluded to in the book, but it's still a measure of kindness and respect to aziraphale and the shop).
he still occasionally falters in all this though, which is a nice touch to show that it's all a work-in-progress (he still mocks muriel slightly in ep3 as you say, still violently loses his temper, still shown to treat aziraphale's things with a degree of disrespect, and still handles aziraphale quite abruptly on occasion), but the common denominator throughout all of that, relapsing so to speak, is him being under a good measure of stress and threat - so once again, completely understandable that he does so!!! i also like your remark on the conversation with maggie and nina; even if he doesn't necessarily listen to/act on the key points of that conversation that he possibly ought to have done, the fact that he does at all - even considers what they have to say as being worthy of his attention, as wise and insightful - is another mark of how he begins to evolve in s2, compared to s1 where he seems to be stuck in a state of inertia. crowley seems to spend a good deal of s2 anchorless (and not just in the literal 'hes living out in his car' way), and therefore seems to be grasping for routine, purpose, and/or connection wherever he can find it...?
i do wonder if its wholly to do with being out from under hell's thumb, though. as you say, and ive suggested in previous asks, crowley does seem to get some joy out of being a demon and doing demonic things, and acts in those instances with - as it seems to me, anyway - very little conscience... but these all largely occur before he breaks away from hell, even if some bad habits (?) remain in s2. im also of the (i think) widely-shared belief that crowley begins to fear hell from 1827 onward, and that his disappearance for however-long-a-time/his obvious fear and paranoia in 1862 is directly linked to how he reacts to aziraphale calling him nice/good/thanking him.
so with that in mind, his emerging willingness, as it seems in s2, to be 'nicer' and 'gentler' correlates directly to the threat of hell being removed; that would be a fairly logical conclusion. but we know that he's not out from under hell's thumb... i would like to think that crowley isn't naive enough to believe that shax is simply a harmless, innocuous protégée... but if we consider how he seems to underestimate other fellow demons in the show, it's entirely possible.
but then again, the time that beelzebub drags him from the bentley does seem to be the first time they've interacted since armageddon... so did crowley truly think that he was safe from hell? that they wouldn't dare to fuck with him again, after the bathtub ruse? did he see it as freedom to start being nicer, without fear of repercussions that - we can assume - he suffered beforehand? is he doing it for himself, because he wants to be nicer, or is he doing it to build further on the 'us' he and aziraphale were tentatively creating in the four years we didn't see?
sorry that the above is a ramble - this is basically a transcript of my brain talking itself in circles, but i think it's nonetheless interesting to think about; how much of crowley developing into this character, that seems to purposefully try being a kinder/nicer/more patient and conscientious person, is because he personally wants to, had wanted to all along, and is now free to do so, and how much is it because he thinks it's a compromise on meeting aziraphale's assessment of being 'at heart, just a little bit, a good person', so that he's more... idk, likeable - agreeable? - to aziraphale directly? wants to live up to what aziraphale thinks of him? how much of this is all the same thing?✨

hi steph!
1. *hugs (if you want some)*
2. i LOVE your hair - i want purple hair so badly!!! it's like one of the coolest thing ever.
3. CAN I PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TALK ABOUT GOOD OMENS 2 WITH YOU?! (ik this blog is not primarily for go but... idk i just need *drowning noises*)
i'm just gonna rant and you can decide if you wanna answer this (probably messy) dump of thoughts...
😭😭😭
omg okay so "i forgive you" fucking KILLED ME I AM DECEASED AND WILL BE HAUNTED BY THESE WORDS UNTIL ETERNITY.
i just finished it... and i can't... i CANT! first johnlock now good omens... WHY AM I - a lesbian in her 20s - so obsessed with pining middle aged queer men?! like WHY?! (you don't actually have to answer i am just confused about this...)
the pining in this season was UNBEARABLE! from BOTH SIDES! and then we get a kiss but it's - WHAT I CANNOT
and i kinda want a s2e6 fix it fic...
and OMG NINA IS HARRY WATSON. they have the exact same vibe (imo) - grumpy, a mess, kinda bitchy to customers, etc. i also believe they are both easily wooed (by absolute sweethearts with lots of brave stubbornness) but try to hide it so badly because their feelings are just so vulnerable because of their past bad experiences with relationships (family & partner)
and like how cool that there is a lesbian representation too because fuvking damniit i need more! lesbian/wlw couples!
ALSO I AM SO FUCKIN PROUD OF CROWLEY FOR FINALLY SPEAKING UP BUT I AM SO MAD AT AZIRAPHALE FOR FUCKING IT ALL UP UFUDHUFURBE I HATE THIS
rant over, thanks for listening
PS: it's 2am where i am...
Hi Lovely!! *HUGS*
Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, time's limited this week on my computer and it was midnight when I saw this, hahah, LOL <3
One, YES, I love hugs thank you!!
Two, THANK YOU!! I love it too! I've had it various shades of purple for a few years, I love it!! :D Makes me feel a lot more like myself. As I'm getting older, I'm feeling more comfortable expressing myself, even at my job since I hit tenure and I think I'm stuck there forever now lol.
Three, ALWAYS!!! I love Good Omens so much!! I also have a GO blog over at @inevitably-ineffable-husbands too if you want more content!!
LOL your reaction was the same one I had after the initial watchthrough, but GOD it felt SO different than the way I felt post Sherlock S4... Like it was a "good hurt / angst" that GO gave me, and I'm so excited to see where it will go from here!!
I LOVE NINA, she's fantastic, and Maggie is SO me, ugh, I love them both so much.
Crowley was SO BRAVE, but I think his timing was shit. It was an act of desperation, and I FUCKING LOVED IT. I am SO ANGRY and SATISFIED, and just UUGGGGGHHHH they love each other so much but they just CANNOT TALK and it frustrates me and makes me giddy!! :D I hope your rant meant you enjoyed it too, but I totally understand if you didn't *HUGS*
And never hesitate to rant to me, I enjoy chatting with y'all!! :D
*HUGGLES* Cheers, Turtely!! :D
