seeing american (very probably racist) politicians talking about europe like there are only blonde and blue eyed people here and imply that that is somehow a sign of people being "better" and more deserving of life than those in any other part of the world that isnt america or europe makes me so unbelievable angry, not just bc its obviously racist but also bc its just not fucking true, there are all kinds of people here in all kinds of color and shape from all kinds of backgrounds, its not a fascists wet dream like they seem to pretend and them using this shit ass fantasy to justify condemming russia but not israel just makes my head want to explode twice as much

as a native, brown haired, brown eyed german with the biggest and bumpiest nose you only see in the before photo of before-and-after-surgery photos, fuck that, free palestine, genocide is wrong not matter what the people being killed look like, all of them deserve to live a long and good life in their homeland

(fyi; i am not saying we dont have a fascism problem here, oh boi, we definitely have, doesnt invalidate my point however.)

not making fun of this post at all I agree but how is making a visual novel or comic being "weird about your ocs" that's just creating something you're writing a story... do you see every novel you've ever written as someone being self indulgent about their ocs in a way that's mostly only appealing to the author. what exactly puts you all in a different category from other creatives.. nothing really it's just how seriously you take yourself and the drive and confidence to make it happen, regardless of popularity. which this person is obviously doing I think they said they have a comic or something which is great so yeah. I'm not gonna assume anything about this person but a lot of us I feel like see ourselves as less real so like even original writing is like from the perspective of a "fan" somehow... But at the same time I get how this mindset that you're obsessed with your character gives motivation to continue creating without expectation of a particular reception. so it's not a bad thing I just think it's interesting I suppose.. but just my thoughts...

#i guess it seems like people automatically expect themselves to be the only ones to genuinely care about their ocs and stories #but that's what all stories are...... maybe saying characters instead of oc might be a way to reframe it #it's just very associated with less serious fan content and it's a commonly used word and useful but i think it still reflects that a bit

Yk actually I think we as a fandom need to stop separating things by “canon” vs “fanon” and instead describe it more like … dark . Vs not dark. Or smth of similar nature. Cuz some of the “canon” stuff is cool, made for horror purposes, super interesting and I enjoy it a lot, but it is simply not canon and that’s ok !!!!!! (I don’t actually think anyone needs to stop doing anything it’s not that deep)

#example being like.. some people interpret Toby chewing his hands as him being a cannibal which is a super cool interpretation and I like i #but I see someone people take it as ‘oh this is a DEEPER analysis of his character therefore CANON’#but that’s only because it’s an even darker take on something #and darker in this fandom is automatically associated with canon and ‘more realistic’#but Toby used to be a canonically goofy ass teenager with a girlfriend he loved very deeply #yk what I mean ?#regardless I love all the work in this fandom dark or not !!!!!!! was figuring out a design for qphil and he and bbh not showing their faces* has spawned a series of headcanons in my brain

*in my designs of phil and bbh specifically

#for anyone interested the headcanons are as follows:#1. the title “angel of death” is exactly that: a title. phil isnt *technically* an angel; hes just married to the goddess of death (kristin)#-and she granted him immortality #2. a hc ive seen for qbad is that he IS actually the grim reaper and i like that hc a lot #-and that would automatically associate him with kristin as well. it would also make the angelic And demonic features i draw him with #-make more sense as death itself isnt something thats good or evil; its just Death.#3. ive decided characters closely associated with the goddess of death tend to hide their faces (including kristin *herself*)#why? idk yet. but i think its cool.#qsmp #qsmp philza #qsmp fanart #philza #my art

Thank you so much, that's very sweet <3 Here's them getting some ice cream on their first (?) date. Twilight still has some ice cream next to her upper lip, which forces Sunset into a deep dilemma. Pretty sure Sunset will think too long about it and Twilight just swipes it away with a napkin, leaving Sunset to cry out internally. Don't worry Sunset, you'll get another chance. And if not and you wait long enough, Twilight may even take some initiative herself.

Wouldn't it be a hilarious plot twist if Twilight is daydreaming of exactly the same situation and leaves the ice cream stain there on purpose, in hopes that Sunset would kiss it away? Girls pining for each other.

The problem with my art right now is that 1) the little drawing time I have goes to @daily-basil ; 2) I have phases, and am currently deeply unmotivated ; and 3) when I do draw what this blog is currently about (Arsenic) I draw him in a gay way (because I love him deeply) and not like the unhinged person he actually is. I'm sorry I'm so soft about him right now. Yes I want Sunny and him to tear each other apart but they also need to love each other so so so much first

#siiiiiiigh...#im sorry i need him to hold sunny gently and tells him he loves him and yes he'll say it in horrible unhinged ways BUT #poor man who does not know how to love and does not know he can be loved. he is convinced he needs to manipulate people to make them stay #writing down arsenic lore for tosteur like two days ago made me so emotional about him. shaking and crying #there's not even like An Event it's just that his whole childhood sucks and he's never been accepted by anyone and he's so lonely and #(starts crying)#he does horrible horrible things but all he does to sunny truly comes from love. deeply inhumane and twisted love but love nonetheless #(except when he's being a selfish ass who doesn't have any sort of morals and generally doesn't give a shit about other people. of course)#god he's such a horrible person (/simplification) i love him #he does not care about hurting other people and only cares about his own selfish desires #he thinks he can do anything he wants and if other people get hurt by his actions it's not his problem #don't you DARE touch a single hair on sunny's head. not in a 'i care about my bf' way btw.#but because if sunny gets hurt. he has to deal with that and 1) it's boring unless it brings him something and 2) that's *his* plaything.#even when he does nice things for sunny he doesn't make it just to make sunny happy #he does it so that sunny will associate happiness with him and stay.#that's what he thinks consciously at least. he always had ulterior motives for everything he does #it doesn't really make him calculating because it's automatic at this point. it just makes him deeply selfish #my poor little boy who has never had anyone genuinely care about him before...#which doesn't excuse shit of course but hhhh i love him so much.#(D if you see this. this is about the OC not the guy. of course)#arsenic #rant #sometimes i think about nick like a normal person ('he's so awful and interesting') and sometimes i just slhrflfbfb. Fascinating watching Tumblr go from "the trigger warning website" to "if you're uncomfortable seeing slurs in any context you're an actual literal baby (and also a Christian? Because those people are famously opposed to bigotry I guess??)

#I do think it's tedious to argue that a piece of media is automatically objectively bad for including slurs #But if someone personally doesn't want to consume or associate wit it that's kind of their own business?
