Hey write a ramble post about how Aemond is always feminized in Daemond fics where he’s always the omega/bottom/fem boy. And how there is no diversity at all in those. No?

That's actually why I started writing Stormbreak! Way back right when Episode 8 first came out, I checked the Daemond Ao3 tag, which had like 5 fics at the time. The only decently written one had an atrociously feminized Aemond and I think was fulfilling some sort of breeding and rape kink, which I didn't have much interest in. So I started writing my own fic where Aemond could be submissive in some ways while still very much remaining a strong character. I haven't read any HotD fic since, and Daemond is such a rarepair I haven't really come across any art. If what you're saying is true, then that depiction of Daemond is absolutely also problematic.

Also, I think ships involving Aemond are a teensy bit different because they style Aemond after Ewan Mitchell, who is an actual adult, old enough to have a fully developed frontal lobe, and who looks like an adult. Most of the problematic feminization of Lucerys I've seen, including every single NSFW drawing I've come across, are perfect doppelgangers for poor Elliot Grihault, who very much looks like a minor because he is one. There's a reason it's so rare to see Lucerys being buff, tall, a good warrior, bearded, a good leader, etc. in those cases of him being "feminine" (anyone with recs for omega/bottom Lucerys with those attributes btw send me the links ASAP it's my favorite thing ever).

I only talked about Lucerys because he was what all of the anons were specifically referencing. But my opinion is on feminization as a form of fetishization and infantilization, and it's not specific to anyone. And newsflash: It applies to female characters, too! I know, gasp. But it's just as worrisome to depict all female characters as simultaneously weak, dainty, tiny, naïve, innocent, etc. and that's why I make such an effort to allow my female characters, like Rhaenyra and Baela, to be feminine but to also be a person with agency and inner strength.

You can call me many things, but I'm not a hypocrite. I'm very consistent when it comes to my opinions and preferences.

I've finally had success getting some full-bodied & front facial angles of spar! And also drew Jakub. These all came from jokes and/or requests in the Many of Hearts discord
