So... this evening I decided to treat my cats meowing at me <constantly> the same way I would an 8 year old expounding in their most recent mega interest. Ie. I would engage.

One of my cats: Mwroww

Me: That's fascinating. I admit I don't now much about the fall of the Roman Empire.

Other cat: Rrow-mwrow

Me: I suppose that over expansion could have played a part.

And they just stopped after that.

Hours of them meowing at me and me responding in kind or with general affirmations ("you are handsome" "yes, you're right") and then nothing.

So either they gave up on rational communication or they really did just want validation for their feelings about the end of the Roman Empire.

Not sure how I feel on this either way.

is there like ANYWHERE i could watch all of the Obey Me Nightbringer story? I know the company that runs it are assholes and nuke everything they see about it on Youtube. Even the youtuber i found that reads the story seems to have had some of their videos removed so I can't read the story without it skipping and i have no idea what's happening.

I don't want to play that game. the gameplay is miserable and that's why I stopped playing the first Obey Me. I just wanna read the story.

one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
