I'm glad you liked the last one! This is such a cute concept tbh, Aone would be too scared to say anything lmaooo
HQ Drabbles: Gyaru Crush 💕 ft. Tanaka, Yams, and Aone.
Content: Fluff, a lil bit of stalking cuz Tanaka's just like that, miscommunication bc Aone isn't good w words, crushes.
Banner credit: gifcities and geocities
Tumblr media
Tanaka Ryu:
"I should have packed lunch today, this sucks." Your best friend nods when she sees your soggy french fries.
"That bald guy is staring at you again." She slurps her yogurt tube in a few seconds. You look around and sure enough that second year was looking at you again.
You're in your third year now, according to Sugawara the 'bald' kid's name is Tanaka, and it's said he has a huge crush on Kiyoko.
"Probably thinks my makeup is weird like everyone else does." He notices you looking and turns away to his short friend... it's Nishi something.
"Or maybe he likes you." You roll your eyes while she wiggles her eyebrows.
"Yeah right, it's obvious he likes Kiyoko." She cringes when you eat a mouthful of soggy fries.
"He might be using Kiyoko as a cover up." You weren't going to keep waiting for him to say why he's always being creepy so you walk over to his table.
"Why are you always staring at me?" His short friend giggles and turns away.
"Staring- me huh?" His face flushes as he stammers for words.
"Yes, is it my makeup? I know it's not normal but starting is really rude." Out of the corner of your eye you can see his friend covering his mouth to try and conceal his snickering.
"Ah- it's not like that! I think your makeup is unique and I think you're really cool!" He blurts out and his friend bursts into laughter.
"Noya shut up!" He elbows him.
"Really? Is this some kind of joke?" He notices your hand on your hip.
"No! C-can we be friends?" His voice sounds like a shy little kid.
"Um... sure?" There has to be some hidden motive behind this...
"Got anything else to tell her, Ryu?" The short fry wiggles his eyebrows.
"Nishinoya I will end-"
"I'm gonna go finish my lunch." Tanaka starts stammering again when you start to walk away.
"Could um... could I get you dinner sometime? AS FRIENDS THOUGH!" He suddenly adds.
He definitely has a crush on you.
"Yeah anytime." He smiles, and you skip back to your table.
________
Yamaguchi Tadashi:
"Is that all?" You ask politely scanning his cart to see if he's got anything else.
He nods his head yes, "Your total is 870 yen, how would you like to pay?" He hands you 1,000 yen, like he does every time.
"Keep the change." You sigh and look for change.
"That's too much of a tip." Yamaguchi (as you've learned from your uncle), comes in maybe three times a week for the same thing and tries to leave you a huge tip.
"Your hair's really pretty." He notioned to the style you were going for today, you think it brings out your makeup.
"Keishin says I look like a rebellious punk." You giggle right along with Yams.
"It's Uncle Keishin to you, brat! You're lucky to even be getting paid!" Yamaguchi quietly snickers because you rolled your eyes mimicking your uncle. Once everything's bagged up you hand it to him.
"Bye, Yams." He takes the bag, and holds still like a statue.
"Something wrong?"
"When'll you be back to work here again?" There's this look in his eyes that you can't quite determine.
"When ever I get back from school, I can't take a lot of breaks or I'll get behind on my assignments." He frowns.
"Hey, not my fault I'm a college student." You shrug.
"I really wish I could go with you to ward off all the weirdos who think gyaru isn't cool." He's an adorable little third year.
"Gyaru's not for everyone. I get hateful comments all the time, but they don't bother me that much anymore." It's the hard truth, you cannot force people to like you.
"Well can I take you out when you get back?" Oh, he's real brave today. Not once has he asked something remotely as obvious as this.
You can tell he likes you, that much was clear. This is the first time he's been straightforward with you though.
"You can take me out when I get off of work." You lean over the counter and press your glossy lips to his cheek. When you pull away you can see a faint mark of lip gloss from your lips.
"Go on to school now, Yams." He spirals at your smirk and walks out like a drunken man.
You're bonked on the head with newspaper, "Do your job and stop flirtin' so much!"
"Don't take your frustration out on me, I know you don't get any Keishin." He grumbles at your laughter.
"It's Uncle Keishin."
________
Aone Takanobu:
"Kogane! I'm so going to beat your ass!" Your threat echoes through the gym and no one makes the effort to save him.
"I didn't mean to mess up your makeup and hair, please forgive me!!" He whines.
The idiot thought it'd be funny to spray you with his water bottle, long story short he got a little heavy handed with the pouring.
You raise your fist to hit him but you're stopped by a hand much bigger than yours. A low grunt can be heard and you turn around to see Aone holding your wrist.
"He deserves it! Let go!" He thinks his grip is too tight, so he loosened it.
"H-here." He hands you his team jacket.
"Thank you, Aone. That is so sweet." He nods.
"Um I know how important your clothing and hair are to you." At first you can't tell if he's being genuine or a goody two shoes.
"Um... gyaru right? I thought it was super weird awhile back." At least he was honest.
"How'd you know?" You most likely already know the answer.
"I did some research after seeing your unusual clothing option that one time." He rubs the back of his neck.
"So you're stalking me?" That's honestly what it sounds like.
"No- I just wanted to understand you better." He says with a little more confidence.
"Why?"
"Ah....." His cheeks go red and he power walked away.
Huh... interesting.

You yawned, walking into the break room right as you stepped into the bullpen. It had been a long night after Hotch decided to take away the prospect of sleep after he decided to assign you files upon files of paperwork.
You were startled after finding an unfamiliar body in the breakroom. He looked like a little lost puppy, spinning around in search of someone.
“Hey, did you need help finding someone?” You asked as you approached him. It seemed like he was just as startled by your presence, unconsciously backing away from you inch by inch.
“N- no, I just um… no,” he stammered as he backed himself into the counter behind him.
You laughed while nodding. “So are you new here or have you miraculously infiltrated the bureau’s largest office in Virginia?”
“N- new,” he admitted, fiddling with his fingers while not so discreetly staring at you from the side.
“I figured,” you giggled, “You don’t seem like the type to break into federal buildings.”
You smiled when you heard a little chuckle fall from his lips. It was then, when you took your eyes off the delectable cup of bitter coffee in your hand, that you got to see the walking personification of magnificence in front of you.
To call him gorgeous was an understatement, he was scrawny but that didn’t take away from his sculpted face or cute nose.
“I- I’m Spencer,” he said, blushing slightly as you looked at him with direct eye contact.
“Y/N,” you said, offering your hand to him as a polite gesture to possibly open the door to some kind of relationship in the future. It was wishful thinking at best but it wouldn’t hurt to try if he was planning on sticking around.
“Sorry I don’t shake-” he said, immediately cut off when his waving hands in courteous refusal of your offer managed to knock the coffee in your hand toward your blouse.
His eyes widened, scarred by the horribly awkward and potentially fatal— to your ‘budding’ friendship— motion. Spencer quickly tried to recover his dignity by attempting to wipe off the stain with a tissue from the counter.
What he failed to realize before he started uselessly removing the stain was the fact that the coffee had spilled on the part of your blouse that was on your chest. He didn’t notice until he took his eyes off his hands that meticulously swatted the coffee, his line of sight traveling toward your cleavage.
His hands dropped as he jumped slightly, a dark crimson red settling right over his cheeks and nose. You chuckled slightly, unbothered by the events that had just occurred knowing he had no malicious intent when trying to remedy his mistake.
“I- I’m so sorry. I- I didn’t mean for any of… that,” he couldn’t bring himself to say the words much less look at the consequences of his aversion to handshakes, “I’m so so sorry.”
“It’s alright. You didn’t mean for any of this to happen, right?” You teased, pushing his buttons gently as you wiped off the rest of the residual coffee on your shirt.
“N- no! Of course not, I would never um, try to t- touch you like that on p-purpose.”
You chuckled, “Of course not.”
Before you could play with him any further, Gideon walked in from the side.
“Reid, I’ve been looking for you,” he said, crossing his arms and raising his eyebrows at the scene before him.
“I- I got lost,” he admitted, “I couldn’t find you so I thought I- I’d wait in here.”
Gideon nodded his head, looking directly at you and the large brown stain on your shirt. “I assume that,” motioning his head towards your chest, “Has something to do with him.”
You giggled at the obvious father-son bond the two have formed, already taking a liking to the man who was probably only two or three years younger than you.
A slight shake of your head sent Spencer turning around and his eyebrows up towards the sky. “I spilled the coffee on myself. You know how I am, Gideon,” you chuckled, amused by the confused look on Spencer’s face, “Anyways, I should get going. It was nice meeting you Spencer.”
You waved to the both of them, not giving Gideon a chance to interrogate you about the events that happened before he came into the breakroom. Besides your damp shirt and the obscenely large stain, you were content with your morning… the only reason being that you had the opportunity to meet him.
It was a short and curt interaction that made you smile more than you had ever before after reminiscing on the first impression of everyone you had met before him. Spencer was cute and handsome and something about him made little butterflies in your stomach mature and fly from their cocoon.
You could feel your cheeks beginning to warm at the thought of speaking to him again, finding yourself completely enamored after one simple moment with him in the breakroom you traveled countless times a day.
“So,” You looked up from your paperwork that you weren’t paying attention to and saw Derek sitting on top of your desk, “What happened to your shirt?”
“A little mishap in the breakroom, nothing interesting about it Derek.”
“So it’s got nothing to do with that skinny guy that’s following Gideon around like one of those shaking chihuahua’s?”
You giggled, “‘Shaking chihuahua’?”
“That’s what he looks like,” he shrugged.
You shook your head, trying to refocus yourself to get your work done and get some kind of semblance of sleep. “Go away, Derek,” you swatted at his thigh to shoo him away, “I’m trying to work.”
“C’mon,” he whined, getting off your desk and pulling up a chair to sit next to you, “I want to know why he was pawing at your boobs.”
Your jaw dropped. “What? What are you talking about?” You asked in a hushed voice to keep everyone else from getting the wrong idea of Spencer.
“You know? In the breakroom earlier this morning?”
“Did everyone see that?” You looked around instinctually, trying to catch anyone who was looking at you or assess how many people may have been watching.
“It was just me and Garcia,” he assured.
“Penelope was there too?” You sighed, “God, she’ll never let me live this down.”
“Probably not.”
“And he was not… pawing at my boobs. It was an accident and he was trying to clean up the coffee that he knocked out of my hands.”
“So then the real question is why you let him. I know that I wouldn’t be able to get within one foot of your no no square without losing my fingers,” he joked, holding up his fingers for emphasis.
You stayed quiet, trying to think of some answer that wouldn’t give away your feelings for him— but it seemed like you wouldn’t be given the chance.
Derek gasped quietly, “You like him don’t you?”
“No. I do not,” you tried to brush him off but Derek was a nuisance when it came to your personal life.
A smile of content appeared on his face, leaning back as he basked in his victory of assessing the situation. “And all this cuz he touched your no no square,” he laughed.
You gave him a smack on his shoulder. “Absolutely not and stop saying that. That’s not where your no no square is, Derek.”
“Same thing,” he sang, getting up from his chair and walking over to Penelope’s office to gossip about you— most likely.
Derek was stopped when Hotch poked his head out of the roundtable room and motioned for the two of you to come in.
You got up, an explicable feeling of nervousness swarmed your heart, each beat quickening with each step you took towards the roundtable room.
Derek held the door open for you, your eyes immediately locking with a scrawny-looking man standing next to Gideon— slinking behind him as you and Derek entered the room.
“Morgan, Y/L/N. Meet Dr. Spencer Reid, the newest member of our team,” Hotch motioned Spencer before doing the same for you, “Reid, this is supervisory special agents Derek Morgan and Y/N Y/L/N.”
Derek moved to greet him first. His hand reached out to give the traditional shake that was ingrained in everyone’s brains, to which the new agent awkwardly declined. You could tell how confused Derek was, standing there as Spencer rambled on about the dangers of a simple handshake.
You buffered the clumsy exchange, offering him a smile and an ‘I’m looking forward to working with you’ instead. He accepted and felt his cheeks burn with a pleasant sensation, already smitten with you from what had happened in the breakroom an hour or two before.
The briefing was as boring as it usually was, but Dr. Reid took the opportunity to showcase his talented brain. You’d also catch him stealing soft glances at you— biting his bottom lip slightly or poking his tongue out periodically as he concentrated on you.
The attention certainly brought about a nice feeling, loving the way he’d stare at you from afar or how he’d stumble with his words whenever you chose to look him straight in the eyes. He was adorable… and handsome.
The way his slicked-back hair rested so neatly on his head, the way the light cast perfectly placed shadows on his sculpted face, and the way he beamed the brightest smile when he spoke about the facts he had unwillingly memorized almost made your heart burst. Spencer was becoming the highlight of your days in Florida, the case taking a toll on your heart as he unknowingly filled the hole it left.
You were physically attracted to him, drawn to where he was which only ever made him antsier than you wanted him to be. It irked you that your presence had made him feel so horribly, opting to watch from afar just as he did.
It wasn’t uncommon for you to find yourself looking at him as a soft smile graced your face, in utter awe of the way he eloquently purveyed his words with the excitement of a child in a candy store.
Soon after the case ended, you lingered around the bullpen to spend a little more time with him as he chewed the back of his pen— most likely pondering something incomprehensible to the average human brain. His hair was tousled, glasses almost falling off the bridge of his nose as he concentrated on the piece of paper in front of him.
He looked up, pen still in his mouth and glasses hanging onto his face by a thread. You were suddenly lost in his hazel eyes, distracted by the heavenly glisten.
It was too much for your heart to bear, looking away seconds after your eyes met with his as the muscle pounded against the walls of your chest. All it wanted to do was jump out and run straight to him, fall in the palm of his hands and stay there for the rest of its life.
It was then, right as you were pushing the elevator button to leave his prying eyes, that you knew…
He wasn’t the only one that was smitten.
—————————————-
“Hey, my syrupy sweet puffball,” a familiar voice cooed from behind you. Right on cue, Penelope came up next to you and leaned down with a box of cookies.
“Have one,” she offered, wafting the scent of freshly baked goods in your face.
You shook your head, “These are tainted cookies. If I take one then I’m obligated to do whatever you ask of me right as I take a bite.”
She grinned sheepishly, unsurprised in your ability to see through her act quickly. “Okay, fine. You got me,” she confessed, “I was going to ask you for a favor but it seems like you're busy and I don’t want to be a bother.”
You sighed, seeing that she’s resorted to guilting you instead of bribing. “What did you need me to do, Pen?”
She danced giddily, a bright smile on her face. “Well since you asked, I was wondering if you could teach the newbie how to use the new computer. It seems like handshakes aren’t the only thing he dislikes,” she whispered, “Apparently he hates… t- technology too.”
“Oh my, what a horror,” you gasp playfully.
“Please?” She begged, “I have a date with this cute guy from the floor below us and I don’t want to have to stay behind for an extra three hours teaching him how to get the basics of a simple computer.”
“Fine,” you caved, “But I’m taking all of these cookies.”
She nodded, handing you the tin gleefully and walking out of the bullpen all dressed up for her date.
You sat on your desk, looking around for Spencer as you stuffed a cookie in your face. What she failed to realize was that the exasperated look on your face was all for show, an act to throw them a bone and keep them off your trail.
If she and Derek hadn’t been so nosy about your feelings, you would’ve accepted the task happily— even without eating her bribe chocolate chip cookies.
It had been three months since he first joined and the interesting events in the breakroom. Your heartbeat still quickened when he was around and he still blushed every time you spoke to him. You knew it was only a matter of time before word got out about your feelings for him knowing how much Derek and Penelope loved to gossip, but you wanted to try to tell him first.
More and more you found yourself falling for him even harder than you did before, your eyes glued to him whenever he was near you. You couldn’t help how you felt and you knew it was inevitable with how much the two of you fancied the other’s company.
No words were exchanged and nothing was said when the two of you were alone, the look in your eyes were enough to communicate your want for each other. Though, you weren’t sure how you would get him to admit his feelings.
You didn’t want to play into stereotypes but it was so much easier to have the other person admit it first, but you doubted that he had the gall to attempt something that was even remotely similar to declaring his emotions.
“H- hey, h- hi um… h- hello,” you turned around to see Spencer waving his hand slightly behind you.
“Hi, Spencer. Penelope told me you needed help getting the hang of using the new computers?”
He cleared his throat, a little grin forming on your face as you started to see a pink color travel up his neck. “I- I do but if you have somewhere to be then b- by all means. I wouldn’t want to keep y- you from doing… things.”
You laughed, “Nope. As sad as it is, I have nowhere to go so I’d be happy to help you.”
He nodded, walking over to his desk and sitting down as an awkward tension nestled into the environment of the now-empty bullpen.
You pulled up a chair and sat beside him, leaning over to grab the mouse that was on his other side.
“Sorry,” you whispered, “Do you want a cookie?”
“Th- thank you,” he said, matching your tone of voice and grabbing one from the tin that Garcia gave you.
“So,” you started, looking around on the screen, “What did you need help with?”
“I- I was um,” he stopped to swallow the rest of the cookie, “I didn’t know how to access the files online.”
You nodded, showing him while getting distracted by how adorable he looked right beside you. Spencer began to take notes on a little notepad with a tiny pen, scribbling away as you spoke.
The sound of your voice began to mute in your ears, your mind only focusing on the look of determination on his face. You couldn’t help but giggle at the way he tucked his loose hair behind his ears as the gel he put on in the morning lost its structure.
“S- so is that it?”
You looked away from his lips and up to his eyes. “Hm?”
“F- for the computer, is that all I have to know to access the files?” He said nervously.
“Oh um, yes. That’s all you need to know,” you laughed, noticing that a bit of chocolate had gotten onto his cheek and nose.
“Wh- what?”
“You just,” you giggled, “How did you manage to get chocolate all over your face.”
You grabbed a tissue and began to wipe away the little brown spot on his face, feeling his hot breath on your hand. An electric shock traveled through your body from being so close to him, invigorated by his pretty face and the way he closed his eyes at your touch.
“Y- you’re all good now,” you said, tossing the tissue in the trash can by the side of his desk.
“Th- thank you.”
You smiled, each throb of your heart drawing you even closer to kissing him. You stopped yourself, reigning in your lust and shoving it deep away into a little box inside your chest.
“I- I should probably go, I just remembered that I had some chores to do,” you laugh nervously, packing your bags and leaving as soon as you finished. You were unprepared for what would have happened next had you given in to your greed.
He stayed there in his chair, sitting completely still after being only 2 inches away from what haunted his dreams at night.
Spencer shook his head and ignored the little voice in his head that told him to follow you, the same way he had since the day he met you. It had become harder for him to ignore what he felt for you, the burning fire within him becoming increasingly less satiated by the stolen glances and fleeting touches that once kept him satisfied.
There was nothing he could do but sit back and watch the prospects of a future with you slip from his grasps.
Right as he was about to leave, a little switch flicked in his brain— a light at the end of the tunnel.
A tunnel that led right to you.
—————————————-
Over the next few months, Spencer had been coming to you for help almost daily. It was… suspicious, but you didn’t complain as it gave you another excuse to talk to him.
He’d ask for your assistance on paperwork, filling out bureau forms, and a multitude of other things that he should have already known how to do. You didn’t know if he knew that you saw right through his little charade or if there was even a charade to see through at all, all you knew was that you were handed more and more opportunities to spend time with the one person who made your day.
Being around him always made your heart flutter and your mind race, a flurry of emotions that you didn’t know that you could control with how close he sat next to you. It seemed like a different side of you came about when he was around, controlled by your heart and not your mind.
Pathos over logos, a dangerous game that could get you hurt if he didn’t feel the same way or if things ended badly relationship-wise— something that would only happen if you ever got to that stage.
His presence was addicting, drawing you in and sucking the air out of your lungs until all you could breathe was his comforting scent. You hated how much relied on him for happiness but your caution was alleviated with his ramblings and nervous behavior.
Luckily for you, he had called you just ten minutes ago frantically asking for your help. Something had happened with the new laptops that were distributed to the whole team and he needed you.
Maybe that was another thing you adored about him asking for your help, knowing that he came to you… and only you. He was yours in some sense but the hope you had for something to develop slowly diminished as his calls for guidance had become shorter and less frequent as time went on. It started off strong, a line that shot upward on the graph and tapered off at the imaginary cutoff that also managed to cut off the blood supply to your heart.
“Y/N. Th- thank you so much for coming, I- I just, I didn’t know who else to call,” he stuttered. You smiled at the way his hair was all mussed while clad in a robe, large CalTech t-shirt, and beaker patterned pajama pants.
Spencer blushed at the way you were looking at him, a shy grin on his face as he fiddled with the long strip of fabric used to tie his robe together.
“Can I come in or are you gonna make me fix your computer outside your apartment?”
“Oh,” he opened the door wider for you to enter, “S- sorry.”
You laughed, “I was just joking, Spencer.” Your hand reached for his shoulder to comfort him, feeling guilty for toying with him while he was obviously in a worried state.
The touch of your hand ignited a spark inside him, a sudden wave of heat bursting in his chest. You moved further into his apartment as he stood by the door, wordless at a single touch— reminding him of the first time you met in the breakroom.
Thinking of it still made him flustered, being so close to you… and touching you. He had dispelled the thoughts from his mind but he could only fend off the intrusive thoughts for so long until he couldn’t hold back anymore.
Spencer walked towards the table and pulled out a chair for you to sit.
“Thank you,” you said, looking at how red his face was now that you were inside his home.
He nodded and walked briskly toward his desk that housed books upon books and his laptop from work. Spencer brought it to you, leaning over you to log into it. You were immediately dizzied with the little space separating you from him, breathing in deeply to ease the alarming spark that shot straight to your heart.
“I- I can’t find any of the files that were loaded onto the laptop. W- which is obviously concerning since that’s my only copy,” he chuckled nervously.
“You may have just misplaced them somewhere, Spence. It might take a while but I’m sure I’ll figure it out,” you replied, already exploring the piece of tech to see what he messed around with.
A knock on the door startled you, Spencer moving to open it with his wallet in his hands. You leaned back curiously after he quickly closed the door, a bag of what smelled like food in his hands.
“Is that-”
“I- I thought that the least I could do is get you something to eat considering how much you help me.”
He didn’t wait for you to respond, placing the bag in front of you and grabbing plates from his cupboard for the both of you to eat. You couldn’t help but admire how perceptive he was, instantly picking up the smell of your favorite food from your favorite restaurant in the paper bag on the table.
“Thank you,” you simpered, grabbing the plate that he had already filled with food.
“O- of course.”
He watched you from the other side of the table while he ‘read’ his book, looking at you working on his laptop.
Ever since he joined, it had become an unhealthy habit of his to poke his nose in your direction… secretly. He wasn’t the best at hiding his intentions but he was drawn to you in an inexplicable way, enamored by the way you laughed at his esoteric jokes when nobody gave him the time of day or the way you’d give him the biggest smile when you saw him in the morning.
It was physically impossible for his heart to blush, instead, it beat faster until he could hear its pulsations right in his ear. It pained him to know that he had to only admire you from afar, maintaining a distance only to keep an iota of his dignity and whatever little friendship formed between the both of you.
He yearned for something more, something permanent that he could wake up to in the morning and go to bed with at night. His arms longed for someone to be in their arms, that someone being you. It wasn’t hard for him to imagine the grin on your face if he woke up next to you, having memorized every part of you he possibly could.
“I- I have to go check if I got any mail, I- I’ll be right back.”
You nodded, continuing to figure out what went wrong as he walked away. A shiver ran up your spine as soon as the air in his apartment kicked in, your fingers moving slower than they did before a cold sensation swarmed them.
A warm, familiar feeling rushed over you as you turned your head to see Spencer placing a cardigan over your shoulders.
It was the one he was wearing the first time you met him.
You swore that you experienced it all over again, falling for him all over again. The same naïve feelings of affection overflowing as a pleasant flickering of your heart led to a sudden heat undulating across your face.
“S- sorry, you looked cold,” he backpedaled, afraid that the gesture would come off rash and impeding.
You shook your head, your hands quickly reaching up to stop him from pulling the warm knit off of you. “No, I- I am cold,” you laughed, “Thank you.”
He smiled, rushing out of the door after feeling his heart rate elevate from the contact your fingers made with his in your attempt to save the moment.
You breathed out heavily, pulling his cardigan closer to your body to save whatever heat you had inside you while imagining his arms wrapped around you in such a way. Your mind was racing just as your heart was, not only from his close proximity but also from your frustrating endeavor of trying to fix what he had done with his laptop. You sat there, checking every file and… nothing.
The documents couldn’t have magically disappeared and they weren’t misplaced. What he had done was mind-boggling, stunning your mediocre tech skills. You would have called Penelope, but she was probably busy— and because you didn’t want her to intrude on your alone time with Spencer.
You were about to fold, wasting your efforts that only spanned an hour and a half, until you saw that you had left out one file… the trash file. Your hand clicked on it without a thought, finding all the files sitting in plain sight.
As if he had known that his cover was blown, Spencer walked into the apartment with a couple of envelopes in his hand.
“What’s this?” You ask, showing him the computer with the files you had been looking for in the trash.
He pushed his glasses up with his finger and looked at you, dazed. “I- It’s not what it looks like.”
“Really? So you’re not trying to fuck with me?”
Spencer shook his head. “N- no, I- I’m really not.”
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Then what are you trying to do, Spencer? You always ask for help with menial things and I genuinely don’t know if you’re playing with me or if you genuinely need me.”
“I- it’s neither, I’m not playing with you and I- I don’t really need help.”
You raised your eyebrows, looking at him unconvinced.
“I think I’m going to go,” you mumbled, packing up your things and walking to the door.
Before you could open it, his hand wrapped yours— keeping you from turning the knob.
“Spencer, please let-” You turned around, his face so close to yours.
“Please don’t go, I- I’m sorry.”
Silence filled the air, each molecule around you seemingly stilled as time slowed. You could feel him breathing, hear his heartbeat from behind his chest wall.
You could easily push him off, but you didn’t. There was no malice in his eyes, no glimmer of bad intent, he was still the same Spencer that spilled coffee all over you in the breakroom that day.
The same man that captured your heart and held it in his hands as if it were the world.
“Spencer, did you delete those files just to get me to come over?”
He stayed in the same position, nodding slowly as his adam’s apple bobbed. You giggled at the sight, taking his silence as a ‘yes’ and let go of the door.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“I know.”
A cascade of your fondness for him and the little oscillation of your heart conspired to rush you towards him.
“I- I really should get going though. We have work tomorrow and-”
His nervous chuckling interrupted your sincere request to leave. “I um, one of your tires may be flat and I don’t think you’ll be able to drive…”
“Y- you don’t mean to tell me,” your mouth agape as you walked towards him, “That you slashed my tires?”
“W- well, I didn’t slash them a- and it was only one tire, not all four. I just um, pricked it?”
“Unbelievable,” you laughed, stopping in front of him, “Maybe you’re not the type to break into a federal building but you are one to participate in vandalism.”
He shook his head quickly. “N- no. I- I mean it is technically vandalism but I just wanted to make sure that you stayed…”
“I’m joking, Spence,” you murmured as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He was so startled that he tumbled backward onto his couch, you wrapped in his arms just as you imagined moments before.
Your breathing quickened just as his did, your bodies pressed up against one another. The two of you were locked in place with each other’s arms, your eyes lost in his hazel ones.
“You’re so pretty a- and so are your lips,” he blurted, losing all sense of control with how close he was to making his dream a reality, “N- not that I’ve been looking, I mean I have… it’s just that they look so kissable. B- but, I mean, it’s not like I’ve thought about kissing you or anything-”
You giggled, hovering over him, “Thanks, I- I’ve been thinking about kissing you too.”
“R- really?” You nod as he looked into your eyes for an ounce of ingenuity, “It’s just, I’m worried about kissing you.”
“Why?” Your hand migrated towards his hair, pushing the little pieces resting on his forehead away from his eyes.
“I- I just don’t want to disappoint you. I- I’ve never kissed anyone before,” he admitted.
“Why don’t we change that,” you grinned.
With that, he broke the distance between you— ignoring the strain on his neck as he reached upward to meet your lips.
As soon as they locked, all the sparks that had been flickering inside your hearts before ignited and burst into indescribable fireworks. Moving in sync with each other, your lips became one as you danced to a new song that you’d soon be accustomed to.
It was intoxicating, breath-taking, the heat and friction between your bodies shooting electrical currents to every part of you. Your appetite was appeased with his kiss, you were given the antidote to your ailment that was left uncured without him.
You were willingly trapped, locked to him as his soft lips glided across yours— tongues tracing each other’s bottom lips for entrance. Your noses bumped each other in your lusty journey, causing the both of you to take a moment to laugh against the other.
Your hands left his curls, slickly creeping under his shirt as his hands ghosted the back of your thighs. Sight was no longer important, both of your eyes fully closed in pleasure and relief.
You giggled, lightly biting his bottom lip which elicited a whine from him. You couldn’t help yourself, playing with him just as you did in the office— your tongue teasing him slightly which only served to frustrate him even further.
He stopped your toying by removing one of his hands from the cusp of your ass to pull your head closer to his, the other hand fully grabbing you as one of his longer fingers dipped down into no man’s land.
“Reid, where did you want me to put the tire-”
The two of you pulled apart suddenly, both of your lips swollen from the intense kissing that had taken place right up until Derek walked into the apartment.
“D- Derek,” he whimpered, moving under you slyly to cover his eager excitement.
“Reid… and Y/N.”
You threw a pillow at him, trying to deter him from entering any further. “Get out!”
He laughed, “I will, I will. I just need Pretty Boy to tell me where to put the tire he had me get.”
You looked at him with a knowing look as slinked further into the couch.
“Just leave it by the table, please,” you sighed.
He nodded, resting it against the wall. “Good luck, kid,” he laughed before saluting you and closing the door.
You giggled, pulling the pillow off of Spencer’s face and giving his cheek little kisses— traveling down his neck.
“Is that tire for me?” You murmured against his tender skin. He nodded, gulping. “I um, I didn’t think I could carry it up the stairs so I asked Morgan for help.”
“We should probably ask him if he could come over tomorrow and help me change my tire,” you laughed.
“N- no. I- he just saw us… making out,” he whispered, mortified.
“I’m sure it won’t be the last time, Spence. I don’t think I can keep my hands off you.”
“B- but, Hotch? A- and Gideon…”
You pulled away, aiming to get him all flustered again. “Okay, fine,” you got up from your place on top of him and walked away from the couch, “I guess we just won’t kiss at al-”
Before you knew it, he was pushing you through the open door to his room and onto his bed. The words taken right out of your mouth as he attacked you with his prying lips and greedy hands.
You melted into his touch, the thoughts of teasing him dispersed from your mind that was only focused on him.
Every spark within the both of you… ignited.
