Tips for not getting stressed out from writing, coming to you live from someone who has done this for 18 years and got a degree in it:

- remember that you write for fun. This is the big one. You write because on some level you enjoy it. Sometimes you gotta lasso that abd reel it into your heart and hold it there so it stays.

- keep compliments close at hand. And i do mean this literally. I print out AO3 comments and friends compliments and keep them in a jar to pull them out at random when I need a little brain boost. I keep a folder of screenshots of nice things people have said on my pc.

- accept that not every day is going to work out. Even the best authors have days where the words wont work, days where they wont flow at all. Its okay to take a step back and not worry about it. Refer to my first tip: youre doing this for fun, you dont have to force yourself

- get silly with it. If youre really having a day where you want to write and its not working and its frustrating you but you cant put it down it is TIME for the sillies. Set a tiner. 5, 10 minutes. Write whatever comes to your brain. Fully turn your editor off. I get sentences like "And the doh turned blue and whacked rhe tennis ball with its tail into the bridge". Utter nonsense. It helps to get the wiggles out

- handwriting can also be helpful. I keep several journals, and glitter pens, and fun markers - sometimes doing the task physically instead of digitally helps to get the wriggles out.

- sometimes you have to accept an idea is not working. It takes experience to figure out when this is, but youll get there. Come at ideas from different angles, back out entirely and rewrite older scenes to make new scenes work.

it's true that the positive comments are always a great motivation. maybe i need to start a collection for myself. indulge a little. (shut up the eternally dissatisfied part of my brain-)

i'm honestly struggling to find a balance between knowing i write for fun, and the pressure of it. (they're happening simultaneously, sometimes seemingly too closely intertwined.) but maybe one has more weight than the other, and i have to realise that only one of those should really hold any priority.

i'm very tired now, but i'll be rereading all these again later and letting them settle in gently. thank youu

honestly like, the moment i saw it i was stunned. it honestly felt so much more like robin than the og design did. and a lot of post ts redesigns of robin use some of the other hairstyles oda was floating around, but so few involve her OG bangs and i honestly miss those more than the cowboy hat!!!

plus <3 i am a p big fan of OG jurassic park, especially ellie & alan. their outfits feel so real to their profession, which is kinda the opposite of a lot of scientists in hollywood movies. so the combination of design elements just... yeah. absolutely beautiful.

ANGSTY TIME!!! >:)

Nezuko!Reader and Spidercat sitting infront of Nezuko!Reader’s Uncle Aaron’s tomb. And let out a loud crying sound and starts getting out of control and starts throwing rocks and growling at people. Terrified, angered and grieving Nezuko!reader :(

Nezuko!Reader only goes at nighttime, once they get to uncle Aaron’s tomb they sob. They sob to the point they start hyperventilating and stop breathing every so often(this has happened to me), they pass out on Uncle Aaron’s tomb with Spider-cat beside them as Spider-cat tries to protect them. The night guard is used to seeing them and places a blanket over them. Even while sleeping Nezuko!Reader is shaking and letting silent sobs escape but their muffled by the muzzle. When they wake up they feel weak, their eyes are red and it’s a bit difficult for them to walk.

Nezuko!Reader does this every Friday, every times it’s Uncle Aaron’s birthday, every time it’s the day Uncle Aaron died. They’ll never stop mourning their uncle, they miss their uncle to the point they somehow bought their uncles apartment…they haven’t change anything and sometimes sleeps there and wears his jacket but end up crying. They want their uncle so bad, they want him to tell them it’s just a cruel prank and they can go to the arcade like he promised them. They want him back so desperately

(I cried while making this, man I’m making sure this is ANGST! I sorta projected some of my feelings onto Nezuko!Reader because it makes ir more angsty)

Oh my god Zen, that Angel Dust wav is a masterpiece. I was nearly sob-laughing the entire time. Angel might be the first fandom character where it actually makes sense in canon for them to encounter the kink, and the way it plays out is so realistic. Something about the complete lack of snzfucker fanfic tone just makes it sooo funny.

4. what sections of a bookstore do you browse?

ooh this is a tough one; i usually start with new releases and then go to sci-fi/fantasy, horror, YA, and general fiction, and graphic novels if the store has them! i’m also a sucker for the journals section… do i need more? no, but i’ll probably buy one anyway.

9. when do you tend to read the most?

i usually try to read before bed as a way to unwind, but i’ve been trying to wake up a little early to read before i have to leave for work, and it’s been nice! but the trouble is actually putting the book down to leave lol. also if work is slow, i’ll sneak some reading on my kindle app (i read the whole of Spare by Prince Harry during a super slow week at work oops)

oh BOY was i delighted that you asked this one, i have so many options but also i’ve been obsessed with this book since i read it two summers ago.
