has anyone ever pulled on the geminis ribbons in a fight?? like, those things look so dangerous imma be honest. wouldnt they choke them if they get pulled on????

Yeah, no, they are. They're attached to their capes rather than being directly tied around their necks, so pulling on it wouldn't necessarily choke them, but could definitely yank them off their feet... So it's not really the most ideal design for battle...

But they look soooooo pretty. The ribbons twirling around with them lends very well to their fighting style and the way they tend to move. And it's a very iconic look, and easily marketable... Sooooo... it got put on the outfits anyway. It just means that the Gemini have gotten very good at moving in such a way that the ribbons tend to stay close to their bodies and out of their opponent's reach, and have learned how to counteract if they do get grabbed. Just another challenge for them.

oh i LOVE imagining the troubles the brothers have getting used to being bipedal again and defaulting to their animal behaviours, so yes i'm absolutely making that a thing! lucifer catches himself glaring at his own reflection several times - one time it's while he's in demon form, and he instinctively flares his wings the same way he did while he was a peacock. he is very glad no one was around to see that

satan still impulsively shoves things off tables, so they will be sitting around the dinner table, then hear a loud CRASH, and everyone slowly turns to look at him sitting innocently next to a shattered plate. it keeps happening for so long that they've convinced he's just using the cat thing as an excuse now

levi is so used to only needing to eat once a week as a snake that he nearly passes out from hunger the first month back, and even after that he has this weird impulse to just. swallow his food whole. sometimes he misses being able to do that unhinging thing with his jaw, because dang did it feel good to yawn and reset it

also there is something so funny about professor elderflower looking at this little sheep and STILL going "ah yes……. you are a rabbit" (though for lore reasons, since they go based off of souls and weird spirit stuff, ik would still get assigned the same thing!)

in terms of schoolwork... diavolo and lucifer would attempt to set something up, but it's all so fiddly that they just sort of give up and assign ik the role of teaching assistant instead. they give her these little enchanted saddlebags plus a ribbon for identification, and within a week she is beloved by the whole r.a.d. faculty for her fluffy charm and helpful document-fetching

Is...is the wing damage something that could be fixed if they were in less-hostile territory (without just a respawn)? CAN it be fixed when they eventually make it home? Or is it permanent damage by that point since its so far away? -🎀

mhm! he is so very creeper-cursed!

the wing damage would be easily fixed with an instant respawn, but as we know, that's not an option in hhau. the wings could still fare better, not necessarily healed, just less bad, if scar didn't tuck the injury away and pretended it doesn't exist. if he kept his wings out and took some care of them.

would that be realistic? they were in a cave, hidden away. but scar's focus was on keeping grian calm (which heavily involves not admitting he just almost died permanently), and he also didn't really want to face that damage and pain in his wings. in many ways, keeping them away was easier.

plus, it's not like they had any healing supplies at this point. (if they did, believe me, they'd all go to grian, as there was a real threat grian might actually die without them.) (yep scar was so distraught, he had nothing to offer but he was doing his best.)

if we take an ideal scenario, wings out and healing supplies, the damage could've been mitigated, yes. fixed completely? well, that's a wholly different thing.

can be fixed once they get back on hermitcraft? questionable. (just because me and link still haven't decided jxncbk) maybe with use of a lot of magic. or maybe cub knows a way to help. but either way, there are no simple solutions and no easy answers. the wings will stay tattered even through a respawn, because at that point, it's been about a year. it sets into the code, stays permanent. (kind of like the scars that grian gets in that hostile world—they'll stay forever.)

but! as link said in their post about hhau vex scar, the wings are only half-corporeal, and they mostly function on magic rather than anything else, so in theory he could still manage to use them for gliding, even in their tattered state. (and once i kick myself to put together those remaining mimic au rambles, maybe we'll even get to see that cjhxbnj)

In December someone asked me for more Fatinamon, my Fairymon rookie Fakemon, and I can’t find the ask any more. I want to 🌊cide. I plan to draw more for Fatinamon this year and I’m currently working on a stupid piece that will feature her too in a certain sense, but for now, whoever you are, I hope you can accept messy recycled sketches for some months ago I have never shared here.

It’s a bit of Fairyblitz ofc⚡️🍃, but Fairyblitz in their rookie forms because I love drawing my lil wind and thunder bugs. And it’s also a bit of my Junzumi fankids lmaoooo, because each of them has got their special relationship with their Digiparents (🤣?), ehm, or better, their parents’ Digimon. Fairymon loves perching on Kou’s head to give him pep talks about how to treat girls properly (because he is a disaster at that and she is the feminist icon of the household for sure along with Izumi), and Kou isn’t pleased ofc. Instead, when it comes to Ran, since she loves butterflies and likes being considered as a butterflies expert (she wishes)….It’s…Love at first sight with Fairymon’s rookie form. Now it’s Fairymon’s turn not to be pleased but there are times Ran and her can bond over music, because in my hc Fairymon eventually becomes (*returns) blind after a while and hearing, melodies, the whistles of the winds become the colours painting her dark life.

Bonus: Kou asking Blitzmon to help him with his maths homework because Kou might not have a Doraemon, but now has got a man of science at home. LOL. Hate myself 🤣.

About Lan Zhan's headband... Is it "the person who removes it will be his fated pair" or "the only person who can remove it is his fated pair"? Is there some like repellant that makes it so that people who isn't his fated pair can't touch or remove it?

Not at all. It's more of a metaphorical thing than any of those above.

To touch the forehead ribbon is to be close enough to a person that they can remove the restraint that they carry and be their full and true self. This is why it can only be done by a parent or a fated one; i.e. a lover. But there's no physical seal on it or anything, it's just ritual and belief. If the Lan who wears the ribbon allows you to touch it, it is them trusting you with all of themselves and symbolically removing the restraint of the face we all wear before those who do not know us as deeply.

This aspect doesn't get discussed as much in the Lan debates that go/went around (I don't engage in them because MDZS debates exhaust me), but the Lans are founded by and have raised many romantics. Lan An literally founded a clan with their cultivation partner and when they died, left for the heavens themself. Lan Wangji does a ton of incredibly romantic things for Wei Wuxian, a lot of them really subtle and small and it's heavily implied that he's really not out of the ordinary at all.

The forehead ribbon is another one of these things. It symbolizes restraint, but it really is a matter of getting to choose who you are most yourself around. The people who are allowed to touch the forehead ribbon are the people that you trust with all the parts of yourself.

This is why he gets so upset as a teenager for Wei Wuxian being really frivolous with it, yet as an adult lets him play with it as much as he'd like. It's just another way for him to say that he trusts and loves Wei Wuxian without saying a word as is his wont.

It also makes it extra fun that after they're married (and MXTX confirms that this is a thing that carries on in their sex life) that Wei Wuxian likes to be tied up with the forehead ribbon in particular. There's a lot of unspoken things going on there, including that Wei Wuxian loves seeing his husband completely unrestrained in so many ways, and that Lan Wangji can trust Wei Wuxian with himself and his heart so deeply as to tie him up with the symbol of his restraint and do unspeakably naughty things to him to their shared delight.
