couldn't find any documentation on how many cells you get from boss rush, so i worked it out myself! (to the best of my abilities anyway lol, also if this info is out there already then i must have missed it in my search 😅 sorry)

quick note: this might not be 100% accurate, since i mostly used math instead of fighting every boss 6 times lol. but i definitely gathered enough data to find a consistent pattern, so if these numbers are off at all, they should at least be VERY close, and at least 0bc and 5bc are definitely correct.

#dead cells #oh yea also i haven't looked into it but you can get a couple extra cells sometimes??? idk why or how #while farming the giant i got 1 or 2 extras sometimes. not sure if it's a bug or related to the seed or what but. yea. idk #anyways yea hotk and queen are the best for cell farming i think #the strat i used was: all legendary custom mode with nothing but cursed sword and barricade #all mutations locked except for combo/tainted flask/demonic strength (or initiative if not on the beta) #set enemy health to 20% in assist mode. go in the boss room. take a sip. melt the boss in under 10 seconds. easy cells #hotk dies before he can finish winding up his opening attack #queen is slightly faster to farm due to the lack of cinematics but her attack patterns are random so you cant just turn your brain off #btw if you do this method: just remember to switch barricade to catalyst BEFORE picking up a sword lmao. i messed that up many times #alsooo idk how seeds work regarding versions and platform and such but. for the steam beta with all dlc at least: #514114 gives a sword with bonus to poison+bleed on 5bc #it's the second sword in the pedestal room. if you use this seed probably take open wounds instead of combo/initiative #a 300% damage bonus would probably be best though lol but i couldn't find one sadly #if you wanna farm without custom/assist mode then godspeed and good luck 🫡

'lightbox project' sounds like it has wider scope than a theater company, the 'project' & optimistic vibe makes it sound more like a community performing arts centre with classes and exhibits as well as theatre.

'ghostlight productions' sounds more serious but also like it has 1. strong horror/gothic genre connections, which might be connected to the venue or the shows, and 2. like it would do theatre but also maybe some film, and would handle all of its own publicity, more of an overarching 'we do it all' vibe. however the fact that ghostlight sounds like gaslight would lead to very unfortunate headlines if anyone high-ranking is exposed as an abuser, would be harder to distance them from the company.

'pagelight players' is more like a name for an ensemble cast who all tend to be involved in each show, it would be like 'the pagelight players present: Macbeth in Space, a lightbox project production'. perfectly fine and respectable! but maybe more difficult to establish as the kind of company that can apply for bank loans or community grants.

'lamplight theatre company' on the other hand is a great name for grants and loans, it sounds like something that Old Money people would brag to each other about supporting, but it also sounds very Traditional, like they would be all snooty saying things like 'if you wanted to put on shows like That, you should've stayed at the lightbox project! harrumph'

This is helpful, thank you for this. It echoes a lot of our own suspicions about each name (and the extent to which a name can affect first impressions.) This is for a grad-level theater management project, but my friend and I are also quite serious about doing this as a career, so we really appreciate the feedback lol

I'm really struggling with navigating having an online presence. I feel incredibly overwhelmed by just how many different places I post, or feel like I need to post, and am really needing to refocus and figure out how to become a more consistent creator. Not in terms of amount of work, because I think that concept is just not achievable for a lot of people, but I guess more along the lines of "branding." So far I've just been throwing shit against a wall and seeing what works but I don't think anything is.

Idk! Trying to mentally compile the things I like into something attractive without forcing myself to do the 300 things that reels forcing me to read the caption say are required. Because it is exhausting to keep up with and doing so has done nothing but make me miserable. Honestly I've been in a major depressive slump for the last week or so because of all this and I'm trying to drag myself up without letting myself stop creating.

No clue what the point of this was because I am certainly not the first or only person to feel this way! Anyways godspeed and good luck to fellow artists out there that are also struggling.

All these babes are a part of my clusterfuck of a retelling of Fallout 4. @fablewritesnonsense 's wonderful fic Nuclear Family is very similar in it's premise though Fable isn't crazy enough to have 7 Sole Survivors. They are normal and went with only 2. I, on the other hand, seem to be a masochist when it comes to my writing and like juggling 20+ people right off the bat and then only adding to that number as time goes on (I've been working on an "intimate" christmas oneshot for YEARS and this close family gathering has 50 fucking people. DON'T YOU JUST LOVE ENSEMBLE FICTION SO MUCH???)

Anyways, the three Sole Survivors missing are Louis DeSalva, Atticus Bruley, and Zebediah Kahan. All three are Cis (He/him) and varying levels of queer. Louis and Zeb work with the Railroad, Atticus is a Paladin with the BoS.

As with my BG3 stuff, there is no promise of a fanfiction ever coming to fruition. These blorbos live rent free in the mind palace and occasionally get their world shaken around like a snow globe to see if any new ideas shake out of it. There are a few more OCs connected to these characters (A few blasts from the past to rock the foundations) but I am going to preserve a level of mystery to the story still lmao. One day I'll write up a ridiculously long summary of the story. One day lmao

okay this topic gets really complex really fast but the most simplified, easiest tldr is that in many, many other countries, there's not necessarily a practical difference between 'nationality' and 'ethnicity'; in the US, on the other hand, there's not much practical difference between 'nationality' and 'citizenship.' this is a bit of a problem, because 'nationality' 'citizenship' and 'ethnicity' have had.......... inconsistent definitions throughout history, cultures, academic disciplines, legal systems, etcetc.

really that's the single most important bit: nobody ever uses these concepts - not just the English words but their actual related concepts - consistently, no one ever has, and no one ever will.

no one can agree what the fuck ethnicity means because it's just another way to vaguely group people based on shared characteristics. Americans tend to assume those characteristics are related to phenotype and ancestry, but we also try to trace ethnicity by language. which promptly brings us to the problem that in reality, language is not defined by or contained to physical genetics.

no one can agree what nationality means either because what the fuck is a nation, anyway? in a technical sense, a nation is "an imagined community" ie whatever people believe it is at the time. it is entirely unclear what 'people' actually means here - does the in-group define itself, or is it defined by out-groups? are you Irish if you've considered yourself Irish your whole life (whether that means culturally, "ethnically," legally, etc etc), or are you Irish if other people identify you as Irish? what other people? what about when Irish people don't consider you Irish but everyone outside Ireland does? does your opinion matter in this at all? what is a Russian? a miserable little pile of secrets! Putin says the Russian speakers who live in Ukraine are Russian, and as the president of Russia, he has the legal right and duty to protect them. your average American may say 'hold on, you can learn Russian as an acquired language, or you can have Russian ancestry but Ukrainian citizenship with no legal ties to the Russian Federation. also how is shooting missiles at them protecting them' to which Putin says 'shut the fuck up' and proceeds to commit every war crime in the book because apparently Ukraine as a country was a mistake and Ukrainian is not a real nationality or identity. yeah.

basically nations aren't real and never have been because human communities tend to be extremely fluid and diverse throughout history to the point that trying to methodically trace groups based on multiple shared characteristics is pointless. a nation is whatever people think it is at the particular time they are defining it. unfortunately, 19th century Europe was hellbent on making 'nation' a biological/physical concept and modern biologists and academics don't know how to explain to laymen that that is not the case. like the average 19th century Englishman has a very different idea of nation than the 3rd century inhabitant of Provincia Britannia. they can both be born in what we call London but they do not belong to the same nation, they definitely don't belong to the same state, and they may or may not be of the same ethnicity depending on how you define it (and also genetic history of the British isles is a complete shitshow, do not recommend, -10/10). the problem is that the 19th century Englishman will tell you that they do belong to the same nation, even if Englishness/Englishry wasn't really a thing until the Middle Ages and even if the Englishman's ancestors from the last thousand years are mainly from Germany and Normandy and the Roman Brit's thousand-year ancestors are from the same patch of land in Britain. and then you get into 'but a thousand years is honestly not really a long time, even by the standards of recorded history; the Roman in Londinium is removed by well over a thousand years from the Englishman in London and the British isles have seen massive amounts of various migration patterns throughout history' and from there on it only gets worse. I don't remember where I was going with this except that I hate 19th century Europe.

actually citizenship is way easier than the other two but even that has some variance. generally citizenship is a legal status that is defined by that particular state. Americans assume citizenship is anyone born within the legal boundaries of a particular state (because American culture and legal system is EXTREMELY concerned with this issue), but go tell Julius Caesar that his slaves are Roman citizens because they were born in Rome and let me know how that goes for you. really the word for 'born within the boundaries of and subject to a legal state' is, look at this bullshit, national. eg an American national, a Chinese national, a Russian national.

On the one hand, yes Lucy Carlyle, being a teenager is very difficult, absolutely it is the worst life stage and i wouldn't wish it upon anyone, good luck and godspeed you are obviously doing your best, extra marks for usually keeping the mean thing you're thinking firmly contained within your inner monologue.

On the other hand, this particular teenager (Lucy Carlyle) has the self esteem of a molting tarantula (blind, squishy, and half stuck inside armors that do not fit anymore, rendered a nonthreat by the very process she must push through in order mature) and the interpersonal awareness of a bite first ask questions later honey badger don't give a fuck.

And the tragedy is that even without these character traits, due to being written into the literal worst life stage that I would not wish on anyone (teen) I do not think she would have had an easier time with her live-in crush and honorary brother's respective crushes on (older, cooler, refineder) Holly, because teenagers often have a little bit of tunnel vision anyway.

Me, old enough to be Holly's mom had I been more outgoing in high school: oh god they're all literally babies get them out of the ghost war immediately.

(incidentally I think Holly had a bit of a crush on Lucy (Holly's inner monologue: Inappropriate) when they first met and Lucy wandered into the basement with tea and pastries, which wore off within--eeenh--let's go with 3-5 weeks' direct exposure to Lucy herself.)

One day when everyone is on the back end of their thirties someone is going to break out the good whisky and this fact is going to be revealed to the Co and everyone is going to find the entire series of events fucking hilarious.

Except Lucy. Who will be mortified. (Not in a terrible way. Just in a, y'know. The Girl's Still English way.)

There's absolutely no doubting that the discoveries made on Prosperina have led to incredible scientific breakthroughs and achievements. If we continue our research we will surely be able to move humanity light-years ahead technologically and evolutionary. Everything we have discovered so far is only scratching the surface of what we believe is possible.

It's unfortunate that Earth will fall as a result of the anti-universe cascade failure. However, we believe the merging of the two states of being, the soul and the body, is a necessity to continue our work.

Thank you to everyone who stuck around through all of Otherside, and especially those who have been around since last year when I wrote Eden! When I conceptualized Eden initially it was a true game of improvisation, where I wrote whatever felt cool or interesting on a near-daily basis. Even midway through the story and deciding on the path it would take, I knew I could take the plot further and develop it into an entire universe. This last year has been a long process of conceptualizing, changing and refining Otherside into what you see today, as a stepping stone into the larger plot and universe. I personally am very proud of how much better this story has been than Eden, even when I had to crunch near the end anyway.

I want to thank Dawn, @ice-fairy-chiruno once again for creating incredible artwork for this story. It truly would lack its charm and DNA without what she provided.

I would also once again like to thank @technicolorxsn for being one of my biggest fans and supporters, and someone who figured out very early that Heresy was intended to be a trans Jordan.

These stories have truly given me a renewed purpose. I'm personally very proud of what I've come up with and I'm excited to put it all on paper and let the ending I've developed come into being. I hope you'll all stick with it to see what it is, too.
