oh anon, thank you for indulging me <3 and buckle up bc its 3 AM and this gonna be a mess ajdgdjjahdjd

so, because my brain is like That i mostly end up using a heart with a color to match the theme of the person i'm having a conversation with (watch all of my moots drop me once they read this insanity <\3) bc idk, it's cute. in a way it's me saying that i see u and ily hehe

but sometimes matching colors just isn't enough so i drop it and instead, i use this system i made up to properly put my feelings in the conversation. does anyone but me knows the meaning for each heart? nope. will i keep doing anyway? absolutely!

So here's how it goes:

💘— this one, i don't think i used it too often?! it's me saying I LOVE YOU, all caps and a hundred exclamation points, i appreciate you, i cherish you, i'm going to explode with how much affection i have for you, and etc. you get the picture.

💝— very soft, its me realizing how grateful i am that you're in my life, i love you and want you the best things for you. thank you for talking to me about this. thank you for being nice to me. also i'm giving you a hug full of love. and headpats if you want. yeah thats the vibes.

💖— same as the one above, but in a less calm and collected way? i'm shooting out fireworks. jumping up and down. giggling and blushing, talking very fast and very excitedly. i'm a mess but i'm happy.

💗— you know when you're so happy and so excited that you feel your heart jumping inside your chest? this is it for me

I remember like, the first time I saw you. I hadn’t recognized your pfp, and after seeing it a few times on my dash I decided to click. After scrolling a bit, I came to the realization I had followed you on accident (something that happens plenty to me). I usually would’ve unfollowed, but you seemed just interesting enough for me not too. A few months later, I’m surprised when you follow me back, especially since I don’t make original posts, and am not ranboo-centric.

Nowadays, you’ve managed to become one of my favorite mutuals. I always get giddy when I see you in my notifications, and 90% of the time I make note to see what post you liked and/or reblogged. It’s the “I’m getting a good grade in reblogging, something that is both possible to achieve and normal to want.”

We aren’t close mutuals, though I definitely wouldn’t mind it. I’d love to send more asks, however I’m horrific at carrying conversations and also have some social anxiety that makes me nervous. I also don’t want to intrude, as previously mentioned we aren’t close mutuals, and I don’t want to be pushy or annoying, haha. And I would start by responding to some of the posts you make that expect responses, but I don’t refresh my dashboard enough to see them in time. And I don’t know if it’d be appropriate to ask for a discord, which I’m better at checking, because I know it’s usually used for friends.

All in all though, you are funny and witty, and I often to stop and read your posts when otherwise I’d scroll. I like your opinions when you do decide to get serious, and despite some non-common interests, you present them in such a way I can easily engage in anyways. i knew my ships won't sail on the first ep of hospital playlist but i am so happy with the first ep of S2. esp the yeonu's mom part. i work as a nurse and have cared for a patient for years until that angel was gone and istg i still remember her and her parents. the thing with hospital playlist is that it reminds me how lovely of a work i have. and i am so sorry for ranting abt that here but i know u been waiting for this season as much as i and this is the result of my excitement. 🍰

The scene about Yeon U’s mom was really really sadd. I can’t believe I actually believed it when the nurse said she’s preparing to sue the hospital thinking it was their mistake that her son’s gone loll (it’s plausible tho). Once I heard Jeong Won’s words to Gyeoul my heart immediately warmed up. Cause it’s true, that she has nobody to talk about Yeon U with except for all the doctors and nurses there. It was so sad yet so heartwarming. Anyways yess, so far the first episode was amazing. As I have predicted since the start, I knew this season will also be as good as the first :DD

1. sam: like u said a given :^) i think sam is dumb and a lot of fun!! i love super happy/caring guys bc i am super bad w/ second guessing myself so!! a guy thats really straight forward and shows how they feel when they feel it is my dream! also the pop punk aesthetic <3 i like that he’s the direct opposite of me!! why would i want to date a dark/brooding guy when im already like that?? i want someone super happy thats gonna radiate that!!

2. haley: haley’s an angel late game! and she’s pretty! im pretty mean myself so i was never driven away from her but was more like damn we’d be powerful together and then she ended up doing a 180 personality wise and i love her even more!! shes so sweet and so helpful during marriage too love her

3. emily: ok emily is like a dream best friend for me!! i love how creative she is and we have a lot of similar interests. she seems like a good mix of the mom girl at a club taking care of all the drunk girls, the girl that u can easily go up to and talk to if u need a partner in class, and the cool older sister. love love love her

4. harvey: sweetheart... angel man. so shy and sweet!! i dont like mean men so him being outright kind and such a good guy is so heartwarming for me!! i feel like he would be respectful at all times and is not a man i’d need to worry about *intentionally* wronging me with intent to hurt <3 

5. elliott: i did theatre in high school and am a creative writing minor. i more wish i was him bc if i could live by the sea and write all day... yes. and speak like someone that would’ve gotten beaten up by a shakespeare character? yes. once again, a man that wouldn’t be mean to me & would make me feel safe

6. maru: also someone i would love as a friend! she’s so kind and always so welcoming my social anxiety would be nonexistent around her <3 i know she’d tell someone my order was wrong for me despite her also being nonconfrontational. seems like a sleepover queen and someone i could go to for anything without being judged love her to death 

7. penny: i also do love penny!! i think she’s def one of the better people in the game what with her aspirations and motivations but!! we r both too shy but i do love reading so i think we would get along there!! she’s v sweet but also her trope is not my fave!! i see a lot of similarities within us 

8. abigail: i do like abigail but i do not see the hype imo. she’s def got more character to her than some of the other women (once again, mr. ape) but she’s just not my type of girl !! i think we’re.... too alike probably. same thing w/ my thing w/ himboish guys.. i try not to surround myself w/ ppl that remind me of myself very often. still lov her tho i promise

9. leah: i feel like leah couldve had more potential in game imo, i dont really think there’s that much to her (thanks mr. ape) but i KNOW she’d beat someone up for me and i love that for both of us. she seems sooo chill and nonjudgemental. she’d buy me food if i couldn’t pay for it at the time </3 i do love her a lot

10. alex: oh boy hot stupid boy but misogynistic comments. granted! high hearts he’s much better but its the getting past that. i like his character at high hearts (also its just funny to headcanon him reacting to other characters) but.. alex i lov u but jesus christ. wouldn’t feel safe around him early game but later on i kno he’d beat up another guy for me <3

11. sebastian: him pushing the farmer (me) away at any chance is a huge turn off for meeeee and i just dont like!! men that are rude. obvi higher hearts hes not anymore but if not for completion sake i wouldnt have gotten to know him. i dont really like edgy guys bc i feel like there’d be more gaslighting and instability. also pelican town only has room for one goth seb stay in the basement </3 sdlkslkd

12. shane: once again mean if i wanted a man to be mean to me i’d walk outside my house. i don’t even reallyyy like his high hearts character (esp w his drinking after marriage) i just lkdlsdk drinking is a big turn off for me (family issues) and i understand why he’s like this i just. it doesn’t excuse it. i’m not his mother i refuse to cater to him bc of his issues. we all have issues.. u cant just treat people bad bc of them!!

two crushes, two gorgeous, kind and perfect men, but only once choice to make. they were each so different, too, which didn't make everything easier. you could never compare the two; it just wouldn't be fair.

changkyun was so deep, and mysterious. whenever you talked to him, you felt like diving into a pitch black ocean, and the water was accepting you as if you were a mermaid in disguise. he listened to you when you felt like ranting, and understands how your mind works, but still, he's not emotionally invested like jungkook. well, he is emotionally invested, just in a different way.

jungkook, on the other hand, was much brighter at first sight. he has that 'sunshine' feel to him. if changkyun is a pitch black ocean, jungkook is the shining sun, casting diamond-like reflections on the waves. he'd take care of you, even when you didn't ask. he took responsibility for you, and made sure that your time spent with him was spent well. no arguments, just the two of you.

the fact that they were both your best friends didn't help either.

and another thing that didn't help, was that jungkook and changkyun didn't quite get along well, either.

that ends you up with three disadvantages, two crushes and one big question: who do you pick?

you ended up asking them both on two seperate dates: the same location, same time, same outfit, stuff like that. when the dates were over, you compared the two.

which one was more fun?

which one was more romantic?

which one needed just that extra little push for you to end up at his house?

which one was simply the best?

picking a man was still hard, however.

flirting was the next test. you were planning on finding out who would react the best to your 'accidental' touches and body language. which- simply ended up with another tie. they both reacted so differently, and that just made it hard to compare the two.

changkyun went along so well with it, squeezing your thigh back and basically undressing you with his gaze when you sat just a little too straight up. he definitely liked it, and just like the date, you two needed one more push for you to end up in his bed.

jungkook, however, was a little confused, but more than happy. he kept his focus on you, to find out what you were trying to do, but you and your perfect ways just had him in a daze. his young and innocent train of thought was disturbed by you testing him with that dress on.

they noticed.

they know you're flirting with both of them, and now that they're in the same room, there's just this angry and jealous tension. you stood up to go to the toilet, and once you came back, you found them bickering about the littlest things.

"what's wrong?" you asked

"you know damn well what's wrong" changkyun mumbled under his breath. "what was that?" you asked, frowning ever so slightly. jungkook stepped in, saying "we- we think you're leading us on. both of us. the date, the flirting.. we know what you're doing, and one little thing: that's not cool. at all."

you felt your heart break a little.

"you know i love you" changkyun mumbled, his head down. if it wasn't for his trembling voice, you wouldn't have known he was silently crying in his lap.

"you know i've loved you for the past few months, but what do you do? try me out and test me like i'm a fucking guinea pig" he said, louder now.

you couldn't do anything but stand still, mouth hanging open just a little thanks to a loss of words. "changkyun, i'm-"

"i don't need your worthless excuses. don't you think it's funny how- how you manage to play with me like this, yet my love for you doesn't shrink an inch?"

jungkook just sits there calmly and lets changkyun rant, but on the inside the fire in his heart was being fed with gasoline; he wanted you that bad.

"i'm your fucking toy, just admit it." he demanded, having you shaking in your shoes. "listen- on my end it's not easy either..! i'm living with a crush on you and on jungkook, and i just had to find out-"

"which one was manipulated faster? good fucking try, y/n."

"can i finish talking?" "don't waste that pretty little voice on useless words" he answered, having you sigh and talk anyway. "i just had to find out which one of you i wanted more. that's all.." you said, realizing how bad that actually sounded.

"conciously leading us on, huh? as if that doesn't make things worse" he said, shooting his gaze up at you. his stare seemed to shut down your nerve system, it was that tense.

"i didn't mean it like that, i swea-"

"and you didn't by any chance mean to conciously break both my and jungkook's heart either?" he carelessly said, almost at a shout.

"no! of course i didn't! you two are my best friends- and i would never conciously break your hearts, you know i wouldn-"

"'you know i wouldn't'? save your empty lies, i do know you would conciously break my heart because that's exactly what you just did, over and over again!"

"changkyun, how about you let her finish speaking before you say something..?" jungkook tried, placing a hand on changkyun's tense shoulder.

"jungkook, how about you shut the fuck up, you insensitive asshole?!" he yelled back, not giving a damn about the neighbours that might be listening in. along with his voice raising, he stood up to tower over jungkook.

you felt scared for a second, and you felt the need to pull him back, yet you didn't.

you let changkyun shout at jungkook. the fire in jungkooks heart had lit a fuse, and the fuse had now reached the bomb. jungkook shot up out of his seat and pushed changkyun back, standing just a little taller than him.

tears rolled down your cheeks, as you just couldn't do anything but watch what you did. this was your punishment.

they shouted forbidden words at eachother, about how the one loved you more than the other, about how the one deserved you more than the other.

"so you're just gonna stand there and do nothing?!" changkyun yelled, pushing jungkook aside to now yell at you. "changkyun, lashing out on her won't help y-" jungkook started, but he was interrupted by a fist, changkyun's fist, landing on his jaw.

"don't tell me what to do, shitface"

you zoned out, thinking back at what you thought of them in the beginning of this whole fucked-up testing process. you compared those opinions to the ones you now had. you could finally make a choice, hoping he would still want you.

"even though you screwed up big time a few years ago, with that whole 'who-do-i-love' phase, i love you." changkyun said, taking your hands.

you punched him lightly, making the both of you chuckle. "you said you wouldn't talk about this.." you said with a smile. "too bad, see this as my revenge"

"i really love you a lot, and i'm sorry for lashing out at you back then. i needed a break from you for a few weeks, but when i came back, you let me know i was worth your love again." he said, trying to keep his voice from quieting down to a soft and careful whisper.

"i love you, and i will fight for you for as long as it's needed. i can go on even longer about how much i love you- but i don't know.. that'd be too clingy, huh? then i'll end it here, but i promise that tonight i'll continue my vows, this was just chapter one" he chuckled.

"then," the marriage officiant said. "do you, y/f/n y/l/n take im changkyun as your life-long husband, and do you promise to share everything with him?"

"i do"

you could feel the smiles of both families burning into your back, as you stared into changkyun's eyed with great passion. now it was his turn. you could feel even jungkook smiled, who had now happily accepted the two of you being together, as he had found his own wife.

"im changkyun, do you take y/f/n y/l/n as your life-long wife, and do you promise to share everything with her?"

"i-.. i do"

"why'd you hesitate..?"

"i just can't believe that you picked me, is all" he said softly with that heartwarming dimple smile only he can do.

"you can now exchange rings" the marriage officiant said softly with a kind smile. the two of you looked at eachother, and you let him know he could go first with a nod.

he took the black, velvety box and opened it, showing you the shiny silver ring, decorated with black gemstones. it reflected his personality, so you could always carry him with you. he slipped it on your finger and kissed it for a short while, securing it into it's place. "it's beautiful.." "no, wifey, you are beautiful"

now it was your turn. you grabbed the slightly bigger box, and opened it slowly and teasingly, making the two of you, your family and friends chuckle a bit. "woah.." he mumbled as he stared at the silver ring, thicker than yours but also decorated with the same black gemstones. "that's- perfect" he said as you put it on his finger. "no, hubby, you are perfect" you said, smiling brightly.

"i hereby pronounce the two of you as husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride" he said, turning to changkyun.

he leaned in for a gentle but passionate kiss, and you could've sworn there was fireworks behind you. you thought the sound of fireworks cracking was all in your head until you turned to actually see literal firework. "god damnit changkyun, why do you make everything so cheesy and perfect..?" you whispered. "just because you deserve it all.."

* Hoaxy Coaxy and Madam Mushroom met when she was another in the long line of random people whose dreams he tried to eat. But instead when he poofed into her Daydream Dimension he found her standing ominously at the end of a hallway like the kids from the shining and then she lucid dream'd him into a nightmare and kicked his ass. I just feel like Madam Mushroom is probably the most powerful human in this universe and no yokai would stand a chance, lol. He was utterly enamoured instantly by this strange human who was able to take control of his dreams for herself with her sheer lack of fear of him. And also ykno how she was all ominous and talked in riddles and acted like a trickster goddess to the people of the town. And most importantly how she did all this despite having no actual supernatural abilities, she just liked to troll people for the fun of it! Thats something to admire!! * probably ghoulfather busted hoaxy coaxy out of jail and he was stuck working for this dude even though he didnt wanna. Part debt to him for the rescue, part raising money to get back home to his wife and son, and part 'well fuck i guess this dude technically created me so i kinda gotta'. The game just says that ghoulfather created hoaxy coaxy and doesnt elaborate any further, so my headcanon is that he was an old imaginary friend ghoulfather dreamed up back when he was human. And he discarded him as useless when he first started becoming evil. Hoaxy was very young at the time and left completely alone without any support of other yokai to give him guidance, or otjer human friends to care about him. So he had a tough time and ended up becoming this evil dream parasite out of necessity to survive on his own. However he's also not exactly a hero or anything, more just a chaotic neutral dude who only cares about A: fun and B: ok i guess i kinda love my wife and son now.
