Older Zeus? No.
Zeus when he was younger and hadn’t changed his divine duty from thunder, lightning, kingship and guests to rapist and was still married to Metis? … maybe.
He was a bastard when he was younger too unfortunately

Although I do like the idea that he was a “better person” before becoming drunk with power. In fact I like to think that’s part of the reason Hera doesn’t can’t bring herself to leave him, bc she still wants the man she fell in love with.

Garden of Eden Depicted in Ancient Greek Religious Art | Ancient Origins
The Garden of Eden has captured the imagination of people throughout the centuries. Apparently, the ancient Greeks had their imaginations captured as well.

Ge grew angry at the loss of those of her children who had been thrown into Tartaros. She persuaded the Titans to attack their father and gave an adamantine sickle to Cronos. And, except for Oceanos, they attacked him, and Cronos cut off his father’s genitals and threw them into the sea. From the drops of flowing blood the Erinyes were born, Alecto, Tisiphone, and Megaira.

Did you know that Antilochus was among Helen's suitors?
peleus: my son cannot be a suitor. he is only 6. far too young.
meanwhile nestor: [presenting helen with what can only be described as a fresh out the womb baby] a great husband, no? a real charmer.

writers after homer are divided on what should have happened post-odyssey in almost every way but not one of them looked at odysseus and believed he actually went on that damn oar quest

Leto was the one who convinced Zeus to send him to Admetus- Zeus originally wanted to send Apollo to Tartarus for that
Ahhh that makes more sense. Leto is incredible all my homies love Leto.
Also you said in another ask this was cited from the pseudo-apollodorus and this made me remember that I really need to finish reading my copy of the book. I found this little tidbit while skimming through it to see where Admetus was mentioned.
"But in making the sacrifice at his wedding, he (Admetus) forgot to sacrifice to Artemis. Because of this, when he opened the door to the bridal chamber, he found it filled with coiled serpents. Apollo told him to appease the goddess and asked the Moirai that Admetus be released from death ... if someone would willingly choose to die on his behalf. "
So on top of everything else. Apollo defended Admetus against his sister and went DIRECTLY TO THE FATES to extend the man's life. This is honestly so intriguing I wish we could've seen these two interact so badly because they were so close.
(Also an au were Apollo was actually sent to Tartarus instead would be so interesting and deliciously angsty)

"Thamyris, son of Philammon and the Nymph Argiope, the first male to love other males, fell in love with Hyacinthos. Later on Apollo, who also loved him, accidentally killed him with a discus."
