Vegito | love confession
content: ( implied pining!goku and/or vegeta, referenced pining, flustered vegito, confession, established friendship ) warning: ( referenced canon-typical violence )
I can feel it when you hold me, when you touch me, it's so powerful. - "Powerful"
Of all the things that could have surprised Vegito today, a congratulatory and very tight hug from you was the most effective. The moment he dropped the energy barrier, it was like you were magnetized to him. Drawn in by a moment of grateful relief after the life-or-death situation forced upon the Earth and the fused saiyan stepping in to outclass the evil once again.
The world was suffocating under the poisonous aura invading the atmosphere and crumbling to the pressure of the villainous force that brought it. Come to burn it all down in an effort to cross paths with the alleged powerful being meant to rival their own might. With options running low, Goku's quick thinking and instant transmission teleported him to the Realm of the Kais seeking a solution from the Supreme Kai while Vegeta stayed to guard the remaining untouched haven of Dende's lookout. But it was only a matter of time before something so dense with negative energy penetrated even the divine palace. Putting everyone you knew at risk, including yourself. Goku returned in a nick of time with Potara earrings and with minimal fuss from his saiyan countertop, Vegito came to life.
Naturally, the fusion wipes the floor with the evil invader, cleansing the earth of the poisonous energy in the process and returning to the gathering of all his friends when the deed was done. Thanking him was all you could think to do after all that, embracing him as you had once embraced your two friends on separate occasions just felt appropriate. Vegito's reaction to it, however, only mimicked one of them. The sharp flush of pink across his face is highlighted by his super saiyan features and easy for you to tell which personality it was from. Not at all what you would expect from the man who bantered and danced circles around an opponent who had the entire Earth backed into a corner. Vegito's smile following the color on his face was what really captivated you, somehow proud and modest all at once. But mostly content as he made no motion to leave your hold.
He attempts to brush off his blush, smugly rubbing his gloved finger across his nose. "You can count on us to handle it." Turning to look off the lookout at the restored atmosphere, he gave a proud grunt and folded his arms against his broad chest. Doing all of this while loosely held in your arms. "That was hardly worth the trouble of us fusing, if not for that repulsive energy. Oh well." He shrugs. Then he turns back to look down at you. "You're alright too, that's all that matters."
Your eyes twinkled looking up at him, delighted by his caressive tone and affectionate words. You withdrew your arms from around him to hold your chest, attempting to still the sudden rush of your heart. "You were worried about me?" You asked with a soft smile.
Pointing it out only makes the cocky fusion suddenly fluster, blue eyes widening and face darkening another shade. "I-It's not like that at all, you've got the wrong idea! I was just uh-...uh..." A loss for words, as well? Unlike him. The attraction held for you ran deep through his fused form. The gentle tilt in your head and joyful stare waiting for an answer was hard for him to deny and he's not certain why he is so paralyzed by it. To be gazed upon like this, held in your arms and become the object of your attention, felt like something he's always wanted. The mixed feelings between his two halves of owning up to his feelings settled into an inspiring sensation that flooded through him. "'I-It was only for a little while. I knew there was nothing to worry about once we fused".
"Ha, I knew it. You were madly in love with (y/n) all along!" One of your friends teasingly called out. "It's written all over your face!"
"Tch, You don't have to shout it to the whole world, we're right here." Vegito glowered. However, his face was still glowing in his awkward huff. It was then you pulled on his tucked arms to get him to lean over and placed a tender kiss on his cheek.
"It's about time you told me." You grinned. Correction, this was the most effective surprise.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes 1-6
Tumblr media
We’ve reached the final (planned) stop on the 2023 Dragon Ball Apocrypha Liveblog, and it’s the most apocryphal series of all, the Super Dragon Ball Heroes web anime!
Here’s the deal.  In 2010, Bandai Namco published a trading card arcade game called Dragon Ball Heroes.  Then in 2016 they updated it to improve the user experience, and renamed it Super Dragon Ball Heroes.   A manga adaptation of the game began in 2017, and then in 2018 Toei began this “original net animation” to promote the game.
My engagement with the DBH franchise has been superficial at best.  Mostly, I just rock out to the theme songs when I find them on YouTube.  I’ve never played the games because I have no idea where and how to play them, and the gameplay doesn’t look all that compelling to me.  I think some of this stuff is only available in Japan?  I’ve never bothered to find out, and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
And yet, I’m somewhat familiar with the story mode from the games, as they involve the Time Patrol, which I wanted to research for the fanfic I’m writing, part of which serves as a prose adaptation of Xenoverse 1.  I even wrote a guest appearance with several characters from DBH, and I might use them again down the line.  Also, the manga contains some backstory involving Towa and Demigra, who also appear in Xenoverse 1, and feature heavily in my fic.  So I’ve read some of the manga, and I watched some of the web anime, but mostly for the purpose of scraping them for useful lore.
From what I can tell, the entire thing is a mess from a story perspective.  The game has been around for 13 years, so it’s clearly a success, but the manga feels completely removed from the story the game tries to tell, and the web anime seems to go off in a completely different direction from that.  At its core, Dragon Ball Heroes is mainly about answering the question “Wouldn’t it be cool if you teamed up with Super Saiyan 3 Vegito to fight Dark Demon Baby Majin Hatchiyack?”  The answer is obviously “hell yeah”, so I don’t understand why we need a manga and anime version to tell stories that don’t really touch on what makes the game fun.
Mostly, I wanted to run through this web anime for the sake of completion.  The whole thing is up on YouTube, ripe for the viewing, but I keep losing track of which episodes I’ve already seen, and I can never remember what the hell happened.  So this is where we put the “log” in “liveblog”.
Tumblr media
We’re starting today with the first six episodes, which make up the Prison Planet arc of the show.  That may sound like a lot of ground to cover, but these episodes are short, so we’re only talking about 40-45 minutes of footage.
The story begins with Goku and Vegeta training with Whis on Beerus’ planet.  Also, the Supreme Kai is here serving tea, and then Future Mai runs over, so she’s here too, apparently.  According to Shin, they came to Beerus’ planet so Trunks could train, but this scene make it look like Mai came here alone, which I’m pretty sure is impossible.  Maybe Whis or Shin brought her, except she was supposed to be with Trunks, so why is everyone just now finding out he didn’t make it?
To be clear, this is the Blue-haired Trunks and Future Mai from the Zamasu arc.  When we last saw them, Whis had arranged for them to take refuge in an alternate timeline where Zamasu hadn’t killed everyone yet.  It was also made clear that they would never return from that world, but SDBH just has them dropping in like it’s Sunday brunch.  Now, you might be asking “Didn’t you just say Xeno Trunks was a character in Heroes?  Why isn’t that version of Trunks in this show?”  And to that I say: Don’t worry, he’s in this too, just not as much.
Tumblr media
Then this shady-looking dude named Fu shows up and tells everyone that Trunks is trapped on “The Prison Planet”.  Vegeta asks how he could possibly know that, and Fu explains that he’s a friend of Trunks and he investigated his disappearance.  I like how skeptical Vegeta is of this story.  “My son doesn’t have friends, get the fuck outta here.”
Tumblr media
So Goku, Vegeta, and Mai travel to the Prison Planet, which is just a bunch of clip art of planets from our solar system clustered together and surrounded by cartoon chains.  It looks stupid as hell, like they told the art department “We need a prison planet design, and make it as literal as possible.”
Tumblr media
There, the gang meets a second Goku, who can turn Super Saiyan 4. This is not the same Goku from Dragon Ball GT, and official sources refer to him as “Xeno Goku”.  He’s an agent of the Time Patrol, and when he encounters the other Goku, they get into a classic superhero misunderstanding and fight.  Then Fu shows up and it quickly becomes clear that he’s the one behind all of this.   Xeno Goku is on a mission to apprehend Fu, and Fu brags that he uses the Prison Planet to trap powerful warriors for his experiments.  Fu tricked Trunks into coming here, then used him as bait to lure Goku and Vegeta.  Xeno Goku pretended to get caught in order to infiltrate this place, but that suits Fu’s purposes, since he’s trapped here now.
Tumblr media
He tells them to find Trunks themselves, and says something about how they’ll have to gather the Dragon Balls on the Prison Planet.  Xeno Goku has one, but the other six are in the hands of the other prisoners.  This sounds like a pretty decent gauntlet for the good guys to go through, but this whole idea gets abandoned by Episode 2.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Trunks wakes up in a cell with a prison uniform and some sort of tracking bracelet on his arm.   Then the wall opens up and he runs out into a city.  Then Cooler attacks him, seeking the Dragon Balls.  This seems like a pretty cool premise, more authentic to the “Prison Planet” title, but this is all dropped immediately.
Tumblr media
From his lab, Fu watches everyone and seems extremely pleased with what’s going on, although he never explains why, or what his plan is.  Get used to this, because this is pretty much all he ever does.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, he’s got this other guy locked away.  His name is Cumber, the Masked Evil Saiyan, and he has a Dragon Ball too.  At the end of episode 1, Fu says it’s not quite time for him to get involved yet.  In Episode 2, Cumber breaks free and heads straight for the good guys to attack them.
Tumblr media
Goku tries to punch Cumber, but Cumber has this weird power where if you touch his ki, it makes you go berserk.  That sounds pretty awesome, except it only happens to Goku here, just once, and then it never gets brought up again.  I notice I’m saying that a lot here.
Tumblr media
Also, berserk Goku’s skin is darker for some reason, which I like better, actually, except this is supposed to signify Cumber’s dark energy corrupting him or something, so that seems kind of problematic.
Tumblr media
Fortunately for Vegeta, Trunks and Cooler show up to help.  Yeah, Cooler’s on our side for this.  Apparently he and Trunks came to some sort of understanding between Episodes 1 and 2.  The prison clothes were pointless, since Mai brought along Trunks’ own clothing, so he changes out of them to join the fight.
Tumblr media
During his captiviy, Cooler heard from Fu about Golden Frieza, so he decides to try that for himself and succeeds immediately.  This is treated like some big game-changing moment, as if fans haven’t been photo-shopping Cooler since 2015.  Cooler than goes “I think I shall call this form.................... Golden Cooler!” like there was any possible other name he would have used.
Tumblr media
Goku finally comes to his senses, but then Cumber breaks free of his restraints. Trunks goes in to distract him while Goku and Vegeta use Potara earrings which the Supreme Kai gave to Mai before they set off on this trip.
Tumblr media
So it’s Vegito Blue vs. Cumber, and things get so rough that Vegito has to do a Kai-o-ken on top of Blue.  Here’s a picture of Golden Cooler just standing there like an asshole watching.
Tumblr media
Vegito seems to gain the upper hand, but then Cumber reveals he knows the fake moon technique, and he turns into a giant ape.  I’m not sure why he’s this orange color, unless this is meant to be like Golden Oozaru tainted with evil ki or whatever.  The thing is, they keep calling Cumber an “Evil Saiyan”, but he hasn’t actually done anything that evil.  I mean, he choked out Trunks, but there’s plenty of regular Saiyans who would do the same thing if they could.  “Evil Saiyan” implies that he’s some kind of next-level evil, like hanging goat entrails over his altar to Moloch or something.
Tumblr media
His first ki blast causes Vegito’s fusion to dissolve, but perhaps more importantly, Cumber’s fighting at such an intensity that it’s damaging the giant chains that seal the Prison Planet off from the rest of the universe.
Tumblr media
Goku and Vegeta decide their only chance now is to cut off Cumber’s tail, and Trunks flies in to back them up.  Mai watches from the sidelines, and she’s got two more Potara earrings.  Wait, how many of these things did Shin give her, anyway?
Tumblr media
At this point, Fu finally notices the cracks in the seal on the Prison Planet and goes to the battlefield to scold Cumber in person.  He takes out his sword and does some sort of technique to dispel the fake moon and reverse Cumber’s Oozaru transformation without cutting his tail.
Tumblr media
Fu withdraws, apparently satisfied that he’s brought the fight down to a more acceptable level.  This pretty much puts us back where we started, except Goku’s now using Super Saiyan God to fight Cumber, even though we just saw Cumber give Vegito a hard time at Super Saiyan Blue.  Cumber seems to recognize the God form somehow, but he never explains his reaction to it, and this never gets brought up again.
Tumblr media
Despite Fu’s intervention, the chains break away completely.  You’d think this would upset Fu, and he is upset, but not because of this...
Tumblr media
No, he’s upset because, while he was away, someone found his lab and wrecked it.  Now he can’t monitor the battle, which disrupts his experiment.
Tumblr media
Cumber wrecks Goku’s shit, which knocks him out for a while, but fortunately Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta show up to defend him. Seems that they were the ones who wrecked Fu’s lab, and I guess that explains where Xeno Vegeta was until this moment.  He was scouting out the lab, waiting for an opening.
Tumblr media
I don’t know why the other Vegeta isn’t getting involved in this fight.  I think he’s okay, but he just stands with Trunks and Mai watching the battle. I mean, Golden Cooler is doing the same thing, but I think we’ve already established that Golden Cooler is just an asshole.
Tumblr media
Xeno Vegeta suggests that they fuse, since Cumber’s one tough bastard.  He hates fusion, but he’s willing to make an exception.  So for those of you keeping score, this is the second fusion in less than six episodes.
Tumblr media
So now it’s Super Saiyan 4 Vegito vs. Cumber, who decides to bust out Super Saiyan 3.  You can tell because his eyebrows are gone.  This seems weird, because base Cumber was giving Vegito Blue a hard time, so the only conclusion I can make here is that SSJ4 is stronger than Blue, or Cumber’s transformations don’t mean much.
Tumblr media
Vegito 4 seems to beat Cumber, but then Fu shows up again to confront the jerks who broke his lab.
Tumblr media
Then Cumber rejoins the battle, and Fu observes that the seal on the Prison Planet has been broken. And he seems... happy about this?  If this was what he wanted all along, why did he cancel Cumber’s Oozaru form?  He says that “they will revive soon”, and leaves.
Tumblr media
I like how he uses his sword (swords?) to cut an X-shaped portal for himself.  That’s a nice touch.
Tumblr media
Xeno Goku wants to chase after Fu, but they have to rescue the others from Cumber, who’s fired a giant ki blast at them.  Regular Vegeta complains about Regular Goku just lying there passed out, when...
Tumblr media
Goku suddenly wakes up and goes Ultra Instinct.  While he fights Cumber alone, the rest of them teleport back to Beerus’ planet.  Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta say their farewells and head off to continue the hunt for Fu, and I guess everyone just assumes that Regular Goku can save himself when he’s ready.
Tumblr media
Just as Goku beats Cumber, another portal opens up, and out comes... Zamasu?  And he’s got a posse.  They grab Cumber and leave.
Tumblr media
This leaves Goku alone on the Prison Planet as it explodes.  Nice callback to the destruction of Namek, except Goku can use Instant Transmission, so why isn’t he?
Tumblr media
Back on Beerus’ planet, the Supreme Kai of Universe 6 suddenly shows up, and he breathlessly informs Vegeta and the rest about an invasion in his home universe.  Dammit, now I have to look up his name.  Fuwa.  The Supreme Kai of U6 is named Fuwa.  Glad we settled that.
Tumblr media
Vegeta’s like “I’m a bad enough dude to save Universe 6.  Let’s rock.”
So yeah, this is a bunch of nonsense.  There is a plotline running through all of this, but Toei presented the first six episodes like it’s a single story arc, and it’s more like the first leg of a larger story arc.  There’s hints of something more ambitious here.  Trunks’ prison uniform and the Dragon Balls suggest that they might have been planning to spend more time in this setting, but instead the whole thing explodes in less time than it takes to get a pizza delivered.
This probably goes without saying, but there’s too many characters in this thing.  We have two Gokus and two Vegetas, and both pairs fuse to make two Vegitos.  It’s fanservice, I get it, but it’s over before we can really get into it.  Golden Cooler literally doesn’t do anything.  I mean Mai doesn’t do much either, but that’s because she doesn’t have any powers.  I don’t know which one irritates me more.
I like the idea of Cumber, but they never fleshed him out.  Fu keeps teasing details about the guy, but we never find out where he found Cumber or how he got him here, or why he wears that mask.  At least Cumber is still alive so he can return in future episodes and hopefully give us the scoop, but I’m not optimistic that we’ll get much.

“Are you sure those numbers are correct? They aren’t matching up with my records.”
“They aren’t correct then, but I don’t know why. Nasshi’s the one who organized this.”
“Hmm…”
The air conditioning in the office right now was a blessing, as she felt very irritated at the moment and it was causing her to sweat. Usually her job didn’t give her that much stress, but today has proven to be especially taxing. Things not lining up how they should meant that her co-worker must have made an error somewhere, but she couldn’t ask him about it since he wasn’t in today.
She didn’t know why she even agreed to do his work for him, when the guy got on her nerves whenever she spoke with him. Even if one in their department lagging behind in their work causes the entire department to slowly suffer as a result, she was convinced she should’ve let him take the fall. She must’ve been getting too nice.
“Well, it can’t be helped. I’ll take the folders back to his desk and leave him a note. Nasshi can handle it when he’s back tomorrow.” Priya started to sort through a stack of papers she was holding.
Eager to get rid of this headache, she simply nodded in response and started to slip the documents back into their respective folders. Just as she was doing that, something in the corner of her eye caught her attention.
Or rather, someone. Her heart jumped, and she gaped; stunned.
Her eyes immediately honed in on his grin, broad and toothy as he floated upside down right outside of the window immediately to her left. His tail was swaying and his arms were crossed behind his spiky mop of chestnut brown hair, though he uncrossed one to give her a small wave.
Having no idea why Vegito was there, she could only give a slow wave back, just as Priya’s voice again entered her ears.
“What are you waving at?”
“Uh-” Her eyes whipped to her co-worker, but then back to the window, seeing that the Saiyan was suddenly gone.
If she didn’t already know how fast he was, she would’ve assumed she was hallucinating.
“Some birds flew by. That’s all.”
“…You are an animal lover, so I guess I can’t be surprised.” Priya shrugged, then gathered the other papers before crossing the room to the cubicles on the other side. She breathed out a sigh of relief, thankful she didn’t seem to notice Vegito. She hoped no one else in the office did, or anyone who happened to be outside. A man hovering up by a 30-story high window was bound to draw attention from anyone who just so happened to look up at the time.
She was confused on why he decided to show up. Maybe he finally felt like talking.
~
The outside air felt good on her face as she stepped out of her office’s building, finally through with her shift. The sun was nearing the horizon, and she was looking forward to going home and relaxing for the rest of the day. She would’ve made a beeline for her car, but she was stopped by someone who was leaning against the wall of the building.
“Hey.”
Vegito nonchalantly greeted her, dressed in new clothing. Instead of his usual gi with his white gloves and boots, the Saiyan had a more casual outfit, wearing an orange t-shirt with blue jeans and a pair of orange canvas sneakers. She especially noticed how his muscles were so clearly defined underneath the fabric of his shirt, making it seem almost too tight for him.
Mesmerized by how good he looked in “Earthling” clothing, something she’s never seen him wear until now, it took her a little longer to respond than it should’ve.
“Uh…hi.” Her eyes finished combing over him, something the man definitely noticed based on the amused twinkle in his gaze and how his tail twitched in its coiled position around his waist, and she fought to ignore the butterflies swarming in her stomach.
“What brings you by?”
“Nothing much. Just felt like picking you up from work.”
The rather charming answer further stunned her, and made her question just what was going on here. Vegito stopping by earlier was surprising enough, but this made her wonder if he truly has been avoiding her since their little reunion, or if she’s been imagining it all.
After they spent some time embracing that night, he did sleep over at her house, but he was gone the next morning. It took she calling Bulma to find out that Vegito was over at Capsule Corp and tried to get Vegeta to spar with him, but the Saiyan prince declined. Then, Vegito went over to the Son house to request the same thing from Goku, who was more than happy to oblige.
Since then, he’s been focusing on training. Not speaking to her at all, nor even stopping by to visit. It reminded her of how he did the same thing when he was trying to figure out his feelings the first time. Old habits die hard, she supposed.
But because of how he was looking at her in this moment, the way he was smiling…what changed?
“…That’s nice of you.” Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed some townspeople walking by on the sidewalks who also were eyeing her companion with expressions that were a little too eager for her liking.
She gripped her handbag tightly.
“But I can’t leave my car here.”
“No worries.” Standing straight, Vegito rolled one of his shoulders, flashing her a grin.
“I have an idea. Where’d you park?”
                                                                                                             ༻ ❁ ༺
“THIS was your idea?”
Beyond the wind rushing past and through her open window, she leaned out of it slightly to shout down towards the bottom of her vehicle.
“Yep! This is way faster than you driving home, isn’t it?”
Though she couldn’t see him, she could hear the laughter in his voice. Down below, the buildings and structures of West City grew smaller and smaller as Vegito carried her car into the sky. With this being her third time technically flying, the view of the landscape surrounding her was still breathtaking, but she was momentarily too thrown off by the absurdity of the current situation to pay much attention to it.
He was strong, but he doing this was putting it into a perspective that let her actually see it…
The little flight ended soon enough, as Vegito descended to her countryside home. Though he placed it down as gently as he could, the impact of her car meeting the ground once again did jostle her, but it didn’t ruin her relief of finally being home. She exited the machine, as Vegito stretched, tail now loose and swishing about.
“So, how was your flight with Vegito Airlines?” His sharp teeth made his mischievous smile appear even more so. A snort rumbled out of her nose as she rolled her eyes, not wanting to be infected by his cheer.
“There wasn’t any food or movies. Felt low-budget.”
“Ma’am, with all due respect, that sounds like a personal problem.”
His faux polite tone teeming with sarcasm overwhelmed her desire to keep a straight face, and she suppressed her giggling as much as she could as she unlocked her front door. Walking inside, she promptly tossed her handbag onto one of the plush chairs in the living room and headed into the kitchen. Vegito closed the door behind him while she grabbed a glass for a drink of water, and merely stood next to the sofa, arms crossed and staring down to the side.
The jolly atmosphere from before was gone, and the Saiyan no longer carried a playful demeanor. His mouth was twisted into a frown, and his eyebrows were pulled downwards, forming a scowl of sorts. She knew immediately that he was thinking about whatever it was that was causing him to borderline ghost her, and her stomach started to twist.
Now was the perfect time to finally confront it, but first…she figured testing the waters was the best initial path to try.
“I’ve never seen you wear casual clothes before.” She commented, sipping her glass as Vegito fixed her with an inquiring stare.
“You look good. Very handsome. Where’d you get them?”
His face darkened in a pale shade of red. “ …Thanks. I’ve always had clothing other than my gi for a while. Bulma’s mom took me out shopping when she learned I didn’t have anything and that I refused to wear Vegeta’s old clothes.”
She didn’t need to ask why he didn’t want to wear what belonged to the prince. The answer was obvious.
“Why not wear something other than your gi more often then? No offense, I’m just curious.”
The normally headstrong warrior was seemingly reduced into a timid mess in the moment, as his blush deepened and he rubbed a hand against his neck.
“It’s all at Capsule Corp, and I hate being there if it isn’t to train, eat, or spend time with Trunks. Though, I always got the impression he’d rather be anywhere else than with me, so that didn’t help. I never cared enough to doll myself up.”
She recalled he telling her about how the boy never accepted him as his father, which she understood, but she still couldn’t imagine how it made HIM feel. There was a lot about Vegito she couldn’t fathom, regarding his emotions and what he thought of certain things, since he kept it all hidden. Likely because of his pride, but their past interactions hinted to her that it wasn’t the only reason.
If only he would let her in…all the way. Not at the halfway point he was still keeping her at.
“If that’s the case…where have you been lately, if not at Capsule Corp?”
She sensed the atmosphere change once again, and watched as Vegito averted his gaze. It was only for a second or two, but it and how his tail was now occasionally flailing were good enough signs that the conversation was heading in the direction she wanted it to go.
“Mount Paozu, mostly. I wanted to spar with Vegeta, but he told me to get lost because he wasn’t in the mood, so I’ve been sparring with Goku.”
That made her quirk a brow. Goku was extremely friendly, and loved to fight just as much as Vegito and Vegeta, so he sparring with the former didn’t surprise her. If anything it made perfect sense; she suspected Goku would be thrilled to fight someone who inherently knew all of his techniques and strategies. It must’ve been surreal for Vegito to be face-to-face with someone who originally was a part of him, but she left it alone and prioritized something more pressing.
“How’s Chi Chi felt about that?”
“I dunno. Whatever chance she gets, she ignores me. I haven’t needed to talk to her at least, and she didn’t object in the few times I stayed for dinner, but it’s like I’m invisible.”
She could tell that bothered him a lot, but for what it’s worth, at least Chi Chi apparently hasn’t tried to cause problems. Goku being back, and especially wanting to train with him, meant that she couldn’t necessarily give Vegito any grief. She wasn’t sure just how the woman felt about the wish to have him gone being undone, but at this point, it didn’t matter.
This did answer the mystery of his whereabouts, so she could put that to rest. She didn’t miss that he said he’s ‘mostly’ been there, and judging by how she caught him fast asleep on her couch late at night once, she assumed he’s been sleeping here underneath her nose. That in of itself didn’t bother her, but…
“So…you’ve basically been focusing on training then.”
“Yeah.” His eyes narrowed slightly.
“Does that bother you?”
A loaded question. She placed her glass down on the counter.
“No. You can train as much as you like, I know it’s important to you.” Her fingernails tapped against the polished granite.
“What I AM bothered by, is how you’ve been using it as an excuse to dodge me.”
“ … … … “
That statement hit the nail on the head. Vegito inhaled sharply, eyes closing as his head craned downwards. An uncomfortable pit settled in her gut, and worry had her resolve waver, but it was temporary.
“We need to talk about…us. You know that.”
He didn’t respond. She moved out from behind the counter and exited the kitchen, stepping towards the man who’s never looked so nervous before.
“I’m not mad. Just confused…I want to know where we stand. Don’t you?”
“…Yes.” He spoke up this time, but with such an uncharacteristically quiet tone she was taken aback.
Goku told her he wasn’t good with mushy stuff, Vegeta especially wasn’t, so Vegito was left with the burden of being unable to properly handle his more ‘unmanly’ feelings. It wasn’t like she herself was in perfect tune with her emotional state, but it would’ve been selfish for she to put all of the weight onto his shoulders and expect him to know exactly what to say and do. She knew him well enough to figure he wouldn’t, and this proved her hunch right. He clearly didn’t.
She didn’t know the absolute right course of action either. But, she did have an idea. Sometimes, bluntness was something needed. For both of their sakes, there was no point in sugarcoating anything.
“Then…do you like me? In…” She involuntarily swallowed, and starting fiddling with her fingers.
“In the romantic sense?”
The Saiyan’s eyes opened. His expression remained largely neutral, if not slightly troubled, but the chaotic storm of emotion in his pools of dark brown pierced her with an intensity that made her breath hitch. The way he regarded her, it was like he couldn’t make sense of who or what she was. In a way, that could’ve been the case.
But, there was such a strong sense of adoration in that storm, that her legs grew numb.
… … …
“I think so.”
“…You think?” She parroted, to urge him to elaborate.
“I can’t put what I’ve been feeling into words. But you’ve been on my mind, constantly. Even before they made that wish and got rid of me.”
His arms fell to hang by his sides. She was slammed with the impulse to grab one of his hands, but she waited.
“At first it annoyed me, but now, it’s like I’ve been craving you. It’s been getting worse as the days have gone by. I’ve gotten very tired of it.”
Her heart was racing.
“Then, why did you wait so long…?”
Silence met her shy question, as Vegito stayed motionless, save for his tail writhing behind him. Under the two bangs that partially covered his vision, the slope of his brow and the uncertainty that flooded his bearing was like nothing she’s ever witnessed from him. Nothing she ever thought she WOULD witness. He looked so vulnerable, so unlike a warrior who could face a cosmic monstrosity with a smirk and eagerness to do battle, that it was jarring.
In the back of her mind, she discerned he must’ve felt incredibly safe around her to drop his guard like this.
“I can’t say. It could’ve been because what I’ve been feeling is confusing, and I just wanted to put it all off. Maybe I’m worried you don’t feel the same way. Could be both.”
If she wasn’t full of nerves at the moment, she would’ve scoffed at the latter confession.
“Actually…who says I don’t feel the same way?”
The manner in which he snapped to full attention, it was like she grabbed him by the throat.
“On the contrary. You say you think you like me…I know I like you. In the romantic sense.” Maintaining eye contact with Vegito drained her confidence to where she couldn’t keep it up, so her eyes fell to the carpet, and her hands gripped the front section of her uniform.
“Ever since that day, when you took me to see the sunrise, what I felt about you changed. You weren’t just some weird, irritating stranger to me who could fly and do other strange things. You’re a man who’s been through a lot, more than I could ever truly understand, but you keep your head up regardless. You still have kindness in your heart, no matter how much other people have put you down.”
Taking in a deep breath, she found the courage to look up at him again. His face was as red as an apple…
“You really think I wouldn’t like you? You’re a catch.”
“…!” Vegito drew back ever so slightly out of shock, eyes wide like he was hearing a language not of this world for the first time. It was plain to see that he wasn’t used to hearing such compliments, which was ironic, considering how often he carried himself as a cocky know-it-all.
Most of that was a front. Exaggerated. Possibly to help himself feel stronger mentally than he felt on the inside.
“Do you want me to be your girlfriend?”
She asked, getting straight to the point. He blinked, gawking wordlessly. She noticed the fur on his tail was puffed out, which frankly was an endearing sight. She didn’t rush him to respond, seeing he needed to take a moment to think.
“I…” He began, but trailed off. His tail was slowly inching its way closer to her, so she decided to take the initiative and reached out to gently take it into her hand. Faintly, he shivered, and the furry appendage wound itself up and around her arm.
“…Yes. I’d like that.”
“Good. Because I’d like for you to be my boyfriend.”
Saying that out loud felt highly embarrassing, but it released the pressure in her chest. Vegito’s blush didn’t lessen, but his lips twitched and quivered as they curved upwards. There was something half-hearted about it, however.
“Are you sure? No second thoughts? I wouldn’t blame you if you had some. I’m not exactly…normal.”
“And?” She challenged, poking his chest with the index finger of her free hand.
“I’ve always known you weren’t. Yet, here I am, smitten with you. That wouldn’t have changed, if you stayed merged or became the independent person you are now.”
Whatever doubt that persisted in him must have dispersed, as his smile turned fully genuine. This pleased her immensely, and she took ahold of the increase of confidence she received from it, moving closer to wrap her arms around his torso in an embrace. To her delight, it was returned without any hesitation, and she was pressed into his chest.
Before she became lost in the feeling of his pecs and abs, there was one thing she thought to do. Standing up on her toes, she pecked the Saiyan’s red cheek with a kiss.
His tail fell from its grip around her arm, and she could feel his body tense in response to the little action. She wasn’t given a moment to worry over if she should’ve done that or not, as Vegito turned his head seconds later to plant a kiss directly on her lips.
The combination of every sensation her body was currently undergoing caused a chain reaction, that was close to melting her brain. From his bangs brushing against her forehead in a ticklish fashion, to his arms holding her close, she being nestled against the warmth his body emitted, and especially his lips that were chapped to a small degree pressed against her own, it was a miracle that she didn’t faint.
Neither of them made a move to spice up the liplock, instead staying still. She didn’t have any knowledge in this area, and he probably had little experience himself. It was very sweet nonetheless. Tingles coursed through her nervous system, and she involuntarily clenched her fingers around the fabric of his t-shirt, causing him to hold her more tightly.
They broke apart afterwards, resting with their foreheads still touching. The dopey, euphoric expressions they wore were mirrors of one another’s.
“…It’s official, then?”
Her voice was low, soft and airy with sheer glee.
“Yeah.”
His was similar.
The following stillness between them was encompassed by an air of closeness she’s never experienced before now. She honestly wanted to kiss him again, and again, and again, but she didn’t want things to…escalate. Yet anyway.
She simply cherished this sense of peace. She hadn’t noticed, but Vegito had draped his tail across her back, further pulling her into the joy of the moment. She could stay here with him like this for hours. Perhaps she would’ve tried, had something she had forgotten about didn’t make itself known again.
“…So…”
She inched away, opening her eyes as her newfound lover did the same.
“Remember those flying lessons you offered me?”
He grinned.
                                                                                                             ༻ ❁ ༺
The evening sun and gentle breeze felt great on her skin.
It wasn’t everyday that she dressed down into a mere tanktop and shorts, but her work uniform was too suffocating for what she was apparently going to do, so a change of clothes was needed. Not knowing what to expect, but still excited anyway, she listened closely as Vegito started to speak.
“First things first, you need to get used to feeling your ki before flying’s possible.” He stood tall with his arms crossed, but his pleasant tone of voice and the enthusiasm in his features didn’t betray any seriousness there could’ve been. His own excitement was stronger than hers, as he’s been wanting to do this since he first asked if she wanted to learn this special trick months back.
“We’ll begin with that, then go into everything involving flight later.”
She nodded. His smile broadened.
“Getting in touch with ki sounds complicated, but it’s really not. The only challenging thing about it is that you need to quiet your mind enough and focus.”
“So, meditate?” Her head tilted.
“Basically. Thoughts cloud your mind and distract it, so not thinking at all will clear a path for you to feel what you can’t with your physical senses. It’s more like your sixth sense. Everyone has one, but not everyone can use it.” He hummed quietly.
“I’m sure you can. You’ve got good perception.”
She’s heard such a compliment a few times in the past, but it coming from him delighted her more than it has from anyone else.
“Hm…any tips on ‘getting in the zone’?”
“Exercise does wonders. Gets the blood pumping, which helps the brain function more effectively. Plus, getting rid of pent up energy can help you relax. Soooo…”
Vegito turned to survey her property, then faced her with closed eyes and a happy-go-lucky beam.
“Running twenty laps around your house should do the trick for today!”
“TWENTY laps?!” She jumped, and gaped in shock.
“Why not ten?”
“Ten’s like, nothing though.” He answered while eyeing her incredulously, hands going to his hips.
“For YOU, maybe!” Her nostrils flared, and she crossed her arms.
“I’D rather not collapse from fatigue!” Ten laps was still bad enough, but she knew he wouldn’t allow her doing a measly five.
“Eeeeh…” He squinted, tail curling and unfurling. He shrugged.
“Fine. You can do ten. I’ll run them with you so you’ll have more motivation.” He spun on his heel and started off on a jog, looking back at her and using his tail to do a ‘come hither’ motion.
“Let’s get going!”
A loud, petulant sigh was his only verbal response, as she stumbled forward to catch up with him. He was far more cheerful than she was doing this, shouting chants of “one, two” and encouraging her to pick up the pace while she lagged behind, trying not to trip on or over anything and make a bigger fool out of herself. Vegito naturally lapped her before long, giving her cheeky smiles and remarks of praise as he passed her. She would’ve been highly amused if she wasn’t struggling to breathe and trying to not stop due to the burn of lactic acid in her muscles.
She didn’t think she was out of shape per se before, but this opened her eyes. She hasn’t done any running like this since her physical education days in school, nor does she exercise hardly at all, so she was in a poorer state than she could’ve expected. Vegito on the other hand, was surely in peak condition for a Saiyan. Godly, compared to the average human. Yet, he was nice enough to spend time doing this with her. That alone gave her plenty of motivation to keep going.
It didn’t escape her awareness that he finished ten laps far sooner than she did, if not more than ten, yet he committed to jogging alongside her. When he announced she was done, he helped her not fall to the ground, setting her down onto the grass with an amount of care that made her further weakened.
“Your stamina is lacking, but outside of that, you did great. I’ll go get some water.”
She could only nod, panting heavily. She watched as he broke into a brisk walk over to her home, briefly disappearing into it. She’d be lying if she said his approval didn’t mean a lot to her, and it didn’t make that extremely draining task worth it. Sweat dribbled down her face and stung her eyes, but it failed to erase the smile playing at her lips.
To think, he was her boyfriend now…
And he was teaching her about ki, something she never entertained the idea of.
Talk about life being full of surprises.
Vegito returned with two chilled water bottles pulled from her fridge, and she gratefully accepted one of them, downing half of it while he sipped at his own. He hasn’t broken a sweat at all, which she figured would be the case, but it made her internally wonder just how much stamina HE had.
“We can move onto the more calm part of ki training for the rest of today.” After a period of silence, allowed on his end for her body to relax a little at least, Vegito shuffled to sit cross-legged before her.
“It’s invisible and intangible to you now, but your body is constantly emitting its ki. The only time it’ll ever stop is if you die, since your spirit will leave your body behind.”
He explained smoothly, eyelids shut together in a look of introspection. He so casually bringing up death was unexpected, but she shook off the shock. With everything she heard of Goku’s adventures, death was something he and all of his associates knew very well.
“You need to reach inside yourself, and take hold of it. Feel it. Then, pull it out of its figurative container. Channel it through every cell in your body.”
Clueless on how to do just that, but knowing concentration was key, she made no attempt to object and closed her eyes.
Whenever she got busy doing her work during her shift, or when she sat down to read a book in the break room her department had, she developed the talent of tuning out everything around her. As far as she could tell, that same principle applied to this. Only this time, she needed to direct her attention inwards, not outwards.
Her breathing was still at a relatively quickened pace, so she initially concentrated on steadying it.
In, and out…
In, and out…
In…and out…
… … …
Whether Vegito remained silent, or she blocked out the sound of his voice, she didn’t know. Eventually, through staying just like this, she lost her sense of time along with all awareness of her surroundings. A dark void was where she sat, her and her alone inhabiting it, with the beating of her heart becoming gradually…louder.
That wasn’t all. Something felt strange about her heart, but the sensation went deeper. She followed it.
It grew stronger. She could feel it more clearly; an indescribable force. The depths of it was beyond her current understanding, but she registered the gravity of it, as it pulled her closer. She became encased by it, and on instinct, she forced it away. Out.
A surge of energy that spread throughout every inch of her being resulted, and her eyes flew open on their own. They went to her arms, as she witnessed something new about her body. It was faintly glowing, with the same type of translucent fire Vegito had when he took her into the sky that special morning.
“Nice job!” He was still sitting in front of her, but in different lighting, as the sun had dipped below the horizon and dusk had fallen on this side of the planet. He seemed pleased, leaning forward in an ecstatic manner.
“You’re flaring your ki. You formed a connection with it.”
“…I did…?” She continued gaping downwards, taking in every movement of the light that was seeping through her flesh. That force within her was still heavy, resonating with every beat of her heart, and it was both hypnotizing and mind-boggling.
“You did that faster than I thought you would. It’s only been two hours…if I was reading the sun’s position right.”
“T-Two hours? We’ve been sitting here for that long?”
“Mhm. Doesn’t feel like it for you though, right?”
“Not really…” The light, while really cool, was admittedly starting to freak her out. Especially when it didn’t seem it would die down anytime soon. She didn’t want to be a human glowstick permanently.
“How do…I turn this off?”
“Just relax. Let go of the tension in your core.”
She inhaled deeply, and forced herself to release the grasp she had on that force. The light faded as it sunk back down within herself, leaving a strange hollow-esque feeling behind, but she could still detect it. She was no longer blind to its existence. Fascinating, was the only word to come to mind regarding it. But now, all of the action for the past handful of hours caught up to her, and she suddenly felt tired.
“For a human new to this stuff, you’ve made a lot of progress already. Next time, I think we can move right to getting you in the air.”
He turned his eyes to the sky, smiling in a calm way that was soothing. Not caring about remaining at a distance with their relationship having evolved, she didn’t think twice before inching closer to him, turning around so she could lean against his shoulder. He could push her away if he wanted to.
“Do you think you can teach me about sensing ki too?”
She murmured, a half-lidded stare aimed towards the blades of grass that danced in the gusts of wind. There was a pause as she felt Vegito shift, then he did the opposite of what she was expecting.
A brawny arm came around her waist and pulled her closer to him. She melted into it, one of her hands coming to rest on his forearm.
“Why not? It’s always a useful skill to have.”
Her head rested against his collarbone, and breathed in what she could pick up of his scent. Earthy, woodsy, yet paired with a pungent note and encased with something that was captivating to her. Vegito didn’t seem like the type to wear cologne or any perfumes, so this must’ve only been how he naturally smelled. She adored it.
A question did roll through her mind, on what her scent was like to him exactly; especially because of his sharper nose. Hopefully it wasn’t bad.
“We can start that little lesson after the flying ones.”
“Thanks, Veggie.”
“…No problem.” One of his fingers poked her stomach, and she stifled a squeak.
“But Veggie’s a corny nickname. Can’t you think of something else?”
Her mouth contorted into a pout. She surely has called him ‘Veggie’ before, she believed when he was brought back to life…he didn’t say anything about it there. But then again, he might have not heard her or have cared about it at the time. It was understandable if he was more paying attention to the fact that he was taken from the metaphorical abyss his existence was cast into. She thought it was cute, but if he didn’t like it, then it couldn’t be helped.
“…Uh…how about Gito?”
“I can work with that.” His finger was replaced by his palm lying on the curve of her abdomen, and on the inside, she marveled at the chemistry between them. Looking back on it, she and Vegito had managed to develop a surprisingly strong bond during the times they interacted with each other, and it peaked when he apologized to her after leaving her high and dry. Particularly when he chose to share more information about himself, so much that he basically told her his life story.
She wished she could tell him more about herself that he didn’t already know or gathered himself, but the massive gap in her memories surrounding her early life would make it difficult…
“…How has your sparring with Goku gone, by the way?” She didn’t want to let her thoughts go in that direction right now. She’d rather keep thinking about Vegito.
“Are you still stronger than him?”
“Yes, but not close to as much as I would’ve been before. He thinks it’s because I’m technically not a fusion made by potara anymore, so the power increase I got from it is gone.”
She imagined he didn’t like that, but his relaxed shrug and tone of voice showed otherwise.
“I still have his and Vegeta’s strength combined, but the two of them can realistically catch up to me soon. I’d like that, honestly. I don’t want to go back to being bored every day of every week from having no one decent enough to fight.”
That made sense. Funnily enough, it was said boredom of his that lead to them growing closer, so she was frankly thankful for it. But, it would be nice if he could start truly enjoying life, not held down by past grievances. There was nothing in the way of it now; no lack of challenging opponents, no…estranged ex-wives…
“Speaking of that…have you talked to Bulma lately?”
“No. Why do you ask?”
“…This might sound insincere coming from me, but she did tell me that she wanted to apologize to you for her hand in wishing you away. When she gave the radar to me, so Goku and I could find the dragon balls.”
“That so…?”
His content bearing now fizzled away, and she could detect that he tensed up again. This was a sensitive topic, but one she deemed important to touch upon, for the sake of him confronting whatever emotions he was still bottling up.
“If you’ve been avoiding her, I get it. From the look of things, she hasn’t made an attempt to seek you out either. I just thought I should let you know about it.”
No words came from him, but his chest swelled and flattened as he breathed a heavy puff of air. It was mostly involuntary, but her hand still on his forearm gently rubbed it to and fro.
“Are you mad at them?”
‘Them’ referring to Bulma and Chi Chi. She didn’t need to clarify to him.
“I’m livid. The fact that they did that to me is something I just can’t push aside. I’ve tried.”
“You have every right to be livid, so don’t think you should push it away.”
She could only guess if he needed to hear these words from her or not, but he merited validation and someone needed to give it to him.
“…Part of me does want to. Holding grudges isn’t my style. But…is Bulma genuinely sorry? What about Chi Chi?”
“It’s up to you to judge Bulma’s sincerity. And maybe, if you try to get Chi Chi to sit down with you, you two could talk about it. The chance of you getting answers otherwise is slim.”
“I know.” He inhaled and exhaled heavily again. From an outsider’s perspective, he gave off the impression of being exhausted over this situation rather than being furious. He could’ve easily been a combination of both.
When Goten and Trunks came to get Vegito that day, she had no idea how his talk with the two women went. It was too possible it was around that time they decided to make the wish, and Trunks apologizing to her after learning she wanted to fix the mess his mother helped cause told her that suspension held water. Her anger over it has long since subsided, but Vegito’s was alive and thriving for good reason. Bulma confessed that she realized what happened to him was wrong, but just how sincere was she truly? She could’ve only felt regret because Vegeta was around again.
She doubted the scientist would have felt the same if he was still gone. On the other side of the coin, a less pessimistic viewpoint would be the prince returning perhaps lifted the fog clouding Bulma’s judgement, and allowed her to see the error of her ways.
The same logic applied to Chi Chi, who could be ignoring Vegito because Goku was back so she didn’t need to concern herself with him, or maybe because she does feel regret, yet being the bigger person was too awkward for her to do. It was a complicated state of affairs, of which only what-ifs could be entertained on her side of it all. She no longer had direct involvement in it.
“If you end up not forgiving them, or you do, just know that I support you either way. Ok?”
The tightness in his muscles faded. The Saiyan exuded gratitude, in the way he shifted so he could nuzzle the top of her head.
Being a symbolic pillar he could lean on was one thing she was absolutely committed to being in their relationship, as he has gone on long enough without someone he could rely on in such a fashion. The chasm between her minuscule amount of wealth and Bulma’s family-inherited money was astronomical, but she would do her best to support him materialistically too, if he needed it.
“I’ll worry about all of that some other time. I want to focus on you for a while.”
“…! On little ol’ me?” She rhetorically asked, giggling when he tucked her more into his side.
“The best thing about those two having their husbands back, is that they won’t bother me with trivial matters. I have all the free time in the world to do whatever I want with, and I plan on you being a part of that. I deserve it.”
“You say that as if I make you happy.” She playfully shot back. A warm gust of air blew over her scalp as he chuckled.
“You might. I know I make you happy. You do a poor job at hiding it.”
“Whoooo says I want to hide it~?”
Her singsong retort was met with the Saiyan tickling her hip for a second, resulting in she having a fit of laughter. Amid her joy, she remembered something else involving him, and she couldn’t wait to see what his answer would be.
“…You said you hated being at Capsule Corp right? Do you wanna live with me?”
“You’re already asking me to move in? Can’t get enough of me huh?”
There was that cockiness she loved so much. She craned her head back so she could look at his face, and the merriment on it was uplifting. She’s never seen such life in his eyes.
“I have plenty of space.” She reached up to run her fingers through his soft, semi-coarse hair.
“Like I can say no to that. Your place is a haven compared to the Briefs’.”
She laughed again, squeezing her eyes shut in bliss.
“You can move all of your clothes and whatever else you have tomorrow. I have the day off, and I’m fine spending it with you.”
“Good.”
A pair of lips came into contact with hers, and her head being upside down in relation to his provided an angle that made her toes curl. Vegito broke away, and her eyes slowly opened, sparkling.
“I can get used to this.”
“So can I.”
He smirked, and craned his head down to kiss her again.

Me and my sibling @majesticjayejae were playing Dragon Ball FighterZ a while back.
We realized that we both main Vegito Blue, but while I play Bardock and SSJ2 Gohan, Jay plays Android 17, and... Hit.
If you don't know, Hit is my Zero Suit Samus of FighterZ. What do I mean by that? You'll have to ask Jay about that, she knows the answer.
Anyway, since we both play Vegito, I decided to draw this as he struggled to get through the Arcade Mode.
Tumblr media
"I am they, we are one... Unfortunately for you." I know that that's Gogeta's quote, just let me have this.

You and Me - CH 3
Third chapter! This is the gateway for things to start getting interesting, which (hopefully) should start next chapter. As always, please ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes you may see. Proofreading sure ain't foolproof.
Never before has a man, let alone a person in general, dominated her thoughts so much.
Before she registered it, a week had passed, and Amita was left pondering constantly about that strange farmer. She did drop by the market a day ago to see if she could spot Vegito’s stand again, but she had no luck. Either he chose a different area, or he closed up shop for the time being. The latter would be most unfortunate, as that would mean she probably would not be seeing him again until late the current year or next year entirely, as he would need to grow more crops to sell.
And, she had no way of contacting him. That alone was driving her up a wall the most.
Today, she was on shift at her workplace – an animal clinic. Normally she didn’t work the front desk, but one of her co-workers who was supposed to be there had to leave it for a while. She couldn’t decline her request to sit and manage any calls that came in.
Adjusting her scrubs, Amita had just gotten off the phone with a client scheduling an appointment for their pet when she heard the front entrance open. Looking over, she was greeted by the familiar afro and blue eyes of the “World Savior”. Attached to the leash he was holding was a beige labrador retriever, who’s tail started to wag when he saw her.
“Hey there, Amita! I’m here for Bee’s checkup.” The boisterous voice slamming into her ears caused the woman to briefly look to the side with a tired look, before properly addressing the man.
“Hello, Mr. Satan. I’ll let the doctor know, so go ahead and have a seat.” She pushed her chair back to the shelf behind her to search for Bee’s file, as Hercule sat down with the dog following closely behind. With a quick trip to and back from the “Employees Only” area of the clinic, Amita returned to the desk.
“So, how have you been? Been getting a lot of people comin’ in?” Hercule asked, while petting Bee’s head. The attempt to start up small talk, something Amita didn’t like, caused the woman to emit a soft sigh. She chose to humor him for now, as there wasn’t anyone else currently present in the front with them.
“Fine. We haven’t gotten many clients making appointments, but I suppose that’s a good thing.” Hopefully, it meant that their pets were in well enough condition and didn’t need to be brought in.
“How are you? Busy with “world champ” duties?”
“You bet! There’s never a quiet day in the life of Hercule Satan.” He puffed his chest out. Amita rolled her eyes.
“What’s more, is that my daughter opened up her own marital arts dojo not long ago. I’ve been trying to get more people to sign up. Her class still ain’t full.”
This piqued her interest, if only because it again made her visualize the face of a particular man. She highly doubted he wasn’t a fighter, but at the same time, she didn’t get the impression that he was in need of training under the tutelage of another for a very specific reason…
“Dojo, huh? Your daughter’s a marital artist?” While she has heard him briefly speak about her in the past, this tidbit of information was new.
“Yeah! She’s always been into the general sport, ever since she was a kid. She did fall out of it after she got all attached to this boy in high school though, who she did end up marrying a few years after they graduated.” Hercule chuckled.
“But after having my granddaughter, she got committed to getting back into it, and trained a whole lot for the past two years. She’s at the point now where she wants to do something with her talent, and figured opening a dojo was the way to do it. With my help, it was a breeze.”
“Hm…you said her class isn’t full?”
“Oh? You interested? I didn’t take you for the type.”
“…I’m not a stranger to martial arts. But I’m just curious.” Amita shrugged. Truth be told, her curiosity was mainly because this was the best chance she had to see him again. It was a sky-high shot with zero guarantee she would find him there, but it was all she had to go on.
“That so? Well, I see no harm in directing you to her place either way.” He shifted in his seat to pull out a small rectangle slip from his pocket, then stood to offer it to her. Taking it into her hands, she saw it was a business card with what she assumed was the dojo’s information on it: name, address, and phone number.
“My daughter’s name is Videl. She has a lot of passion for teaching, and she’s real sweet, so she’d make a great sensei for you or anyone else you know who’s looking for an open dojo.”
All she did in response was nod, which satisfied Hercule enough, as he went back to sit down and continue petting Bee. Before long, the doctor called them to one of the available examination rooms, leaving Amita alone in the lobby with her thoughts.
                                                 ༻ ❁ ༺
The afternoon had finally rolled around, and Amita’s shift was over for the day. Briefly returning to her small suburban home to change out of her scrubs and into more casual attire, she headed back out into the city in search of Videl’s dojo. She had to drive far up north into parts of the city that were unfamiliar to her, but the building thankfully stood out enough and wasn’t hard to miss.
Parking, she exited her car with a heavy sense of anticipation and looked around for the main entrance. Where two people were currently standing seemed like it was it, so she approached slowly…and was struck with surprise and slight excitement. Was that…?
“I think you’re worrying too much. You’re doing just fine.”
It WAS him! She recognized his voice instantly, thanks to how distinct it was. As she stepped closer, she made out more and more of his spiky hair. In place of the dirt-blotched overalls he wore at the market, was a simple combo of a t-shirt and jeans. Additionally, something dark brown was wrapped around his waist. It looked like some kind of belt.
“Ah…I guess the nerves are getting to me...” The woman Vegito was speaking to was completely unfamiliar to Amita, but she caught how the two of them spoke to each other with a high sense of familiarity.
“Now now Videl, there’s nothing to be nervous about. You said yourself that you haven’t heard any complaints. Just focus on being a good teacher to your students, and don’t concern yourself with problems until they’re brought to your attention. That’ll keep your stress levels down.”
“You’re right. Thank you, Vegito.” His words appeared to soothe her unease, as she smiled brightly. Amita’s head tilted.
So, this was Videl? How did she and Vegito know each other? Maybe he could be a student in her class, but it was obvious that wasn’t the case due to his words of encouragement.
“I really appreciate your support.”
“Of course. I know you’ve wanted this for a long time, and the marital arts scene around these parts could use a good woman’s presence. I’m sure Gohan would agree…”
Vegito trailed off, head turning her way as the distance closed between them. He blinked, before his eyes widened as recognition filled them.
“Amita?”
Videl’s attention was instantly put onto her as well, causing Amita’s self-consciousness levels to spike. She was already here, walking up to them…it’d be a horrible look if she suddenly lost all her nerve and just left.
“Hi…” She greeted him quietly, clasped hands pressed against the front of her thighs. The woman fiddled and played with her fingers – a nervous quirk of hers.
“Hello.” Videl politely greeted Amita with a smile. “Is this a friend of yours, Vegito?”
“Uh…yeah, sure.” He answered with a vaguely puzzled tone, and rubbed the back of his neck. “She’s a customer, from the farmer’s market.”
She knew it was merely to let the conversation flow more easily, but there was something about he claiming they were friends despite them hardly knowing a thing about each other that made her heartbeat quicken.
“I see. Are you here to sign up for my class?” Videl leaned forward slightly, blue eyes figuratively sparkling with enthusiasm. Amita felt a little bad at having to dash her hopes here, but she knew that honestly was best.
“No. I just…saw Vegito here, and thought to stop by.” That was partly true at least. “I have heard a lot of good things about this place though. I’ll spread word of it.”
“Ah…well, thank you. I appreciate that.” While she was visibly disappointed, Videl perked up again upon hearing she’d promote the dojo. Granted, the only people Amita spoke to on a somewhat regular basis were her mundane co-workers, but that was still something.
“I should get back to organizing things for tomorrow. It was nice meeting you, Amita.”
Videl said a farewell to Vegito as well before walking away, leaving the two of them standing there alone. An awkward silence stretched over them, as Amita looked back to Vegito and saw that he had already been staring at her with a curious look.
“…Didn’t think I’d be seeing you again anytime soon.”
“Same, honestly.” She fidgeted with one of her thumbs. “Haven’t found your stall at the market. I guess you’re done selling for now?”
“Yeah. Everything I had got bought up, so it’s back to growing new crops.”
She figured that was the case. But it was solid confirmation that he’d be gone from the market for the next unknown amount of months, so this would be the last time she could talk to him until harvest time rolled around again…unless…
More silence passed with Vegito looking off to the side with a discontented expression. Amita took a moment to steel her nerves, gathering more confidence to ask a question that would only serve to make things even more awkward; but it was a necessary evil.
“Do you have a phone?”
“Huh?” His head whipped back in her direction, and a brow quirked. “…Yes? Why’re you asking?”
“…Can I have your number?”
He blinked, then did a double take.
“Why?”
Why indeed. She couldn’t put it into words, nor would she try, but there was something that just pulled her to him. There were so many interesting things about this man, things that made her intrigued and want to learn more about him, but she couldn’t do that if they parted ways now with no contact method available for her. Her intentions admittedly were selfish and nosy though, and she wouldn’t at all be surprised if he turned down her request.
“I want…to talk to you more often. That’s all.”
Yep, it sounded just as odd out loud as it did in her head. She observed Vegito’s head tilt, and his brow furrowed. Her confidence quickly crumbled, and she was genuinely waiting for him to call her weird and walk away, however-
“Ok. Sure.” He shrugged, and reached down into one of his pockets to pull out his smartphone. Amita released the breath she didn’t know she was holding, while Vegito tapped at the device’s screen with a squint. It gave off the vibes of he struggling to make sense of what he was looking at. Soon, he faced her again, seeming innocently lost.
“Uh…I don’t know my number. And I don’t remember where I can find it on this.”
His behavior was unexpected and strangely endearing, but Amita fought the amused smile that wanted to spread across her lips.
“That’s ok. I know a fast way we can exchange numbers.” It’ll be easier than he attempting to locate his at this point. He placed his phone onto the palm of her extended hand, and she made quick work of navigating to his contacts app to save her cell number with her name attached on his list. She then called her number before cancelling, feeling the brief vibration of her phone in her pocket, so his would appear in her logs and she could save it from there. Amita handed the device back to him, internally brimming with warmth.
“I’ll uh, reach out soon. Ok?”
“Alright.” He calmly answered, and she could just barely make out a red color that had darkened the skin of his face. She’s sure her own face was even darker right now as well. Vegito must have been wondering exactly why she wanted to talk to him more, but he didn’t voice it. She turned to go back to her car, feeling her heart racing and trying to keep her gait as level and under control as possible.
He watched her, staring at her retreating back, but seconds later swiftly shook his head like he was breaking out of a trance. Vegito pocketed his phone and walked away in a different direction, blush having harshened a degree.

REGARDING X2M FORMAT AND FUTURE UPDATE: - Your requests for an X2M format version have not gone unnoticed, and know that this is something I am going to look into once all of the DLC updates have been released, as it takes quite a bit of work having to constantly update a mod such as this due to compatibility updates. I incorporated weard123's golden shader (used in his SSJ5 mods for XV1) for the Golden Super Saiyan 4s, otherwise everything else I created from scratch, some are even ports of my own mods from XV1, such as Golden Broly and Green Omega Shenron which can be found here: Ĭertain files will have to be updated after future DLC updates, such as the character selection portraits file. Super Charged Super Saiyan Kaioken Goku wig (replaces SSGSS Goku wig) Super Saiyan Vegeta wig (replaces SSGSS Vegeta wig) Super Perfect Cell now has a golden aura with electricity flashes like he does in the anime. Perfect Cell now has a golden aura like he does in the anime. Green Omega Shenron (Earth Dragon Balls absorbed) with SSJ3-style aura. Both Whis outfit Goku and Vegeta have been replaced with their Z uniforms. Super Charged Super Saiyan A form similar to potential unleashed which is given to Saiyans by Whis, appearence-wise the user stays the same as they would in their regular transformed state. So I ask that you please keep the abusive comments directed to those who have different tastes and opinions than you to yourself, otherwise rate this as low as you want. This mod is intended to be an alternative for those who dislike the additions of Dragon Ball Super's designs and concepts, it is in no way meant to spite Dragon Ball Super fans, there is an overabundance of mods out there that contains DBS content for you to enjoy to your hearts content.

You casually walk up to Vegito*, whisper something in his ear like "I lost my panties" and walk away as if nothing happened, waiting for his reaction. oneshot?
*or Gogeta - I couldn't decide, I leave it to you 😅
ASFJHSGH excuse me while the EMTs resuscitate me after getting this request! and of course I'm Vegito biased.
Tumblr media
☆☆ Pairing: Vegito x Female Human Reader ( Requested By @blue-wristbands ) ☆☆ Rating: M / 18+. MINORS DNI ☆☆ Contents: ( teasing, they are fused because yes, vegito's himbo energy is showing but also his BDE is showing ) ☆☆ Warning: ( suggestive )
Was something wrong with you? One of his eyebrows rose curiously watching you slowly roam his way with a defeated look. "What's with the long face?" Vegito inquired the reason for your pout and pitiful expression turning up to him. The shift of your eyes made you appear hesitant to answer, shyly turning your head away for a moment. When it seemed you mustered up the courage to open up, you tilted your head his way without fully turning to face him and instead beckoned with your finger for him to come closer.
He stepped in, curiously leaning within whispering distance of you. "Go on, spit it out." He pressed you with tucked arms, earring softly jingling with his ear directed toward you. Turning to his ear and using your hand to block your lips, you confessed:
"I lost my panties."
Articulated with an innocent tone, yet punctuated with allure and a mischievous intent just for him. And just as his mind grasped the words and Vegito turned to look at you with big eyes, you turned away and sauntered off a lot less despondent than your approach. He knows for sure what he heard you say and understood why something like that would make you look so down but he can't help wondering how in the hell you let something like that happen. He's a little embarrassed for you, gloved fingers scratching at his head in contemplation if that's something he should discreetly offer help with. Or if you wanted his help with something so personal? You trusted him enough to tell him, after all. What were you even doing to lose them? All the questions running through his mind left him completely unconscious of your obvious bid for his attention, and a little more than that. He would find the meaning behind your confession by your gaze cast over your shoulder at him.
The fused saiyan sees the corner of your mouth turn up at him and an inviting wink follows that quickly connected the dots between his shared conscience. He was slow to it, that shame resonating back to the two saiyans, but he caught on. If anyone was bold enough to get frisky and offer themselves up like that to a fused saiyan it was you, and the burden of temptation awoken inside you when his blended presence graced your eyes was unrelenting. Goku and Vegeta were always easy on the eyes but there was something special about their combined look, accented by the dangling jewels from their ears. Surely, a combination of the best of their power would only choose the best of their physical features to adorn such a beautiful body.
Your hands were itching to get to know it while you could, as were other parts of your body. Wanting to tease him was just half of it. The longer your eyes watched, the more details drew you into him, making you grin in anticipation of what he was made of in a more intimate environment.
"It's not nice to catch me off guard like that. There are better ways of getting my attention." Vegito spoke up when he approached you. The glare behind his bangs resembled annoyance and yet seemed so far from it, he exuded nothing but a relaxed demeanor. You looked up at him, feigning a guilty pout. The little smirk of yours following your act further proved your intended, special mischief.
"Are you going to scold me?" You asked softly against the seductive stare. "Oh... I guess it's what I deserve for lying to you like that. I can't lose what I never had with me." Confessed once again with that alluring tone and a casual shrug of your shoulders as you put your back to the fused saiyan. A subtle hand outlines the natural contour of your lower back and rounds over to your hip to show off the single layer of your attire further to him. Without a doubt, your hand's movement caught his eye and he couldn't help but notice. Not to gawk so openly, Vegito sharply turned his head again, placing a hand against his hip as if to turn his nose up at your vulgar display.
"That's a little crude of you. But I know what you're up to and you don't know what you're getting yourself into." He uttered in a humph, sounding more disapproving than his softened leer would let on.
"Do you?" You quipped in return, spinning lightly to find Vegito's back to you. Your fingers find the bed of soft, spiky hair just above his nape and watch his spine straighten at the contact, slowly tracing down the center of his defined back. "Be a shame if a little ol' human like me can bring the mighty 'Super Vegito' to his knees with no panties." You lean around his arm in an attempt to view his face, whispering enough for him to hear. "I've been a little bad for you if you can be a little bad for me."
You've never tempted them before, what made being a fusion any different? Though the extra attention did nothing to temper his ego and you're showing off a lot of yourself they've never seen before. Charmed by your spirit at least, Vegito wasn't one to let himself be outdone. A haughty chuckle catches your ears and you feel his hand grab your wrist from his back as he turns to face you again, holding your arm over your head.
"Now tell me what makes you think you got what it takes to bring me down?" He imposes on to you with a slight tilt of his head and a crooked grin. "The way I see it, I didn't have to do anything and you can't even hold yourself together. I'm supposed to be bad for this? You'd soak through your pants before we even get started."
The corners of your mouth stretched as you bit into your lip, a rush of excitement making your heart skip looking up at him. Your eyes twinkle at the thought. "Promise?" You beckoned, drawing yourself closer to him. The way he turned this back on you couldn't be resisted and the blatant way his smirk grew and arrogant stare darkened over you may give truth to his words. You needed to know where this was going and time was not on your side to keep toying around like this.
With eyes focused on you, Vegito tilts his head and placed two fingers against his forehead indicating his next move to you. No need to linger around here anymore if that was the kind of game you wanted to play. Your wrist still in his other hand is brought down where your fingers could gather the blue cloth of his top. "Try not to hold it against us if we get too rough for ya. But you asked for this." He'll show you exactly what Super Vegito is made of.

Dragon Ball GT 60
Tumblr media
✨GT Stands For Gestalt Troll✨
Tumblr media
✨"Good" "Ideas", Poorly Executed✨
All right, so it’s finally time for Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.  This might very well be the most popular thing to come out of GT, and they waited until episode 60 of 64 to do it.  This guy is a guarenteed crowd-pleaser.  People love Fusion and they love Gogeta and they love Super Saiyan 4.  All this shit is awesome and good, but GT only gives us one episode with this dude, and five episodes with Doltaki.  Let that sink in for a moment.
Why do people love SSJ4 Gogeta? Simple: He’s the biggest, baddest cat in the whole franchise. Maybe Vegito Blue or Gogeta Blue are in his league, but he predates them both by about 20 years.  Omega Shenron has been eating everyone’s lunch, and he’s the final boss of GT, which made him the de facto final boss of the whole franchise until Beerus showed up in 2013.  Gogeta 4 shows up and picks Omega apart like he’s nothing.
This whole Dragon Ball thing is a power fantasy.  Anyone who complains about the wishes, or the transformations, or characters being too powerful, they’ve completely missed the point.  It’s like complaining that a haunted house is too spooky, or that a musical has too many songs in it. Characters like Frieza, Cell, Broly, and Gogeta are popular because they get these long sequences where they just go around whippin’ ass and no one can stop them.  And then someone might whip their ass and they get a lot of popularity too.
And where GT went wrong is that they failed to understand how that power fantasy works.  That’s why they did one episode of SSJ4 Gogeta, and five episodes of Doltaki.  I mean, I could go on, but I think that really says everything you need to know about GT’s priorities.
Also, GT completely fucked up SSJ4 Gogeta.  They had a cool thing, and they totally blew it.  Let’s discuss how.
Tumblr media
So first of all, we need to have Goku and Vegeta do the Fusion Dance to make Gogeta.  Omega Shenron refuses to allow this, even though he basically stood there like an idiot and let Vegeta turn into a Super Saiyan 4.  Apparently he’s finally remembered that he wants to win this fight, and he can’t achieve this by just floating around while his enemies plot against him.
So Trunks jumps in to hold Omega off, and he does amazingly well, considering he doesn’t even bother going Super Saiyan for this.  Keep in mind that Omega has already beaten up Trunks a couple of times earlier.  Like, only one hit each time, but Omega’s supposed to be insanely powerful, so that should be enough to take Trunks out of the fight for good.
Tumblr media
Then Bulma shoots her Blutz Wave Tank at Omega, which is completely dumb, because I’m pretty sure Blutz Waves would have no effect on Omega.  Maybe she was trying to hit Trunks and turn him into a Super Saiyan 4.  Seriously, why didn’t she try that?  Anyway, Omega takes out her tank, and she’s more furious that he didn’t warn her that he was going to fire back.
Tumblr media
Then Gohan and Goten try to hold off Omega, and they get creamed, and then Trunks jumps in again, and he actually drives Omega back for a decent amount of time.  How the hell is he pulling this off?  See, this is what GT Logic is all about.  The whole premise here is that nothing short of a Super Saiyan 4 can do anything against Omega Shenron, but they need the supporting characters to jump in anyway, so we end up with this dumb paradox where Trunks can do just as well against Omega in base form as Goku was going at maximum power.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Goku’s just watching this like a dumbass, and Vegeta asks him what he’s waiting for.  When the characters are complaining about the plot, you know something’s gone terribly wrong.
Tumblr media
So they finally go through with it, and Gogeta appears and Omega can’t even get near the guy without getting hurt, and everyone’s thrilled.  Pan is especially excited, because she’s never even heard of this technique before, so this is the first time she’s seen it in action.  Then Uub finally comes back from getting blasted in the face in Episode 58.  Well, he’s selling his shoulder instead of his face, but you get the idea.  At least Uub is more professional than Goten, Gohan, and Trunks.  Each of them have gotten worked over by Omega Shenron and they keep acting like they’re completely fresh.
Tumblr media
So Uub suggests that one of them fuse with him, and they all look at each other like dopes.  Then Gohan says they need to heal Uub’s arm first.  Okay, yeah, that’s a good point.  He probably can’t do the Fusion dance correctly with a bad wing, but it doesn’t address his point.   Goten and Trunks can do fusion right now.  They could have done it several episodes ago.  They could have done it during the Baby Saga.  Uub is literally asking them why they don’t use that thing they know that makes them stronger and helps them win, and they’re all gawking at each other like Uub has a second head.
It would have been funnier if Trunks had said “Sorry, Uub, but this is GT.  We have to fight in base form for no reason at all.  Just trust me.”
Tumblr media
Let’s get back to the fight.  Yeah, Omega can’t do shit against Gogeta.  Cool.  Here’s the problem.
Tumblr media
Nobody, and I mean nobody, in this show is interested in winning a fight.  When Omega has the advantage he just toys with his opponents and gloats.  Now Gogeta has the advantage, and he starts toying with Omega.  He makes four copies of himself and they all shoot Kamehameha’s at him, but instead of ki blasts they shoot confetti.
Tumblr media
Then Omega gets flustered and prepares his ultimate attack, the Revenge Death Ball.  No, wait, it’s the Electric Eclipse Bomb!  No wait, I’m sorry, it’s the Minus Energy Power Ball.  I don’t know why I keep getting these techniques confused.  They’re each so distinctive and innovative.
Tumblr media
So Gogeta just waits until the last second and kicks the thing up into outer space.  Just like Vegito did when he repelled a big planet-busting ki ball launched by Super Buu.  This whole fight is just Vegito vs. Super Buu, only shorter and dumber and without Vegito’s rationale for toying with his opponent.  Vegito was baiting Buu in order to get absorbed so he could rescue Piccolo and the boys.  Gogeta is screwing around because... well, that’s what Vegito did in DBZ, so I guess Toei thought it would be okay if they did it too.
Tumblr media
So one side-effect of this is that Gogeta’s deflection somehow dismantles the minus energy field surrounding the Earth.  Up to now, it’s been cutting off the Earth from the rest of the universe, and not even the Supreme Kai could monitor what was happening there.
Tumblr media
Gogeta explains that when he kicked the Power Ball, he used his ki to convert the entire thing into Plus Energy, which then neutralized the Minus Energy field around the Earth.  This is pretty dumb, but it’s kind of like how Movie 12 Gogeta just somehow knew how to turn Janemba back into a regular oni kid, so I’ll allow it.
Tumblr media
What I won’t allow is the part where Omega stupidly repeats everything Gogeta just said, almost word for word, like he still hasn’t grasped what happened.  It’s not that complicated, and Omega isn’t this dumb.  Toei just stuck this in here to pad out the episode.
Tumblr media
So then Gogeta blows Omega Shenron away with the Big Bang Kamehameha, and you’d think that would be the end of the big dope...
Tumblr media
I mean, he explodes and the Dragon Balls get scattered around, so it sure looks like he’s toast, but I know better, because the last three episodes have featured false finishes like this, and he always comes back.
Tumblr media
And there he is, a little singed, but basically unharmed.  Seriously, this guy took a Big Bang Kamehameha from Super Gogeta 4, right in the face, and he’s not even hurt.  But somehow Trunks was keeping him busy at the start of the episode?  GT Logic is one hell of a drug.
Tumblr media
So Gogeta just sets up another one, which is a great opportunity for Toei to reuse the animation cells.  Seriously, though, if I were Gogeta, I’d be a little nervous about this.  If he survived one of these things, maybe Gogeta’s not strong enough to beat him.
Actually, maybe that’s the whole deal with Omega Shenron.  He’s strong, sure, but he’s not that much stronger than Goku.  It’s just that he’s so damn tough that he can take almost any offense and shrug it off.  That might explain why he never kills the others with his attacks.  He has to save his offensive power for when it really counts, because he doesn’t have that much to work with.  His main strategy is waiting for Goku to wear himself out in a vain attempt to kill him.
Tumblr media
Well, in this case, it totally works.  Gogeta comes apart before he can deliver the final blow.  Goku speculates it’s because all that Super Saiyan 4 power burned out the fusion time.  That’s actually a legitimate point, since Gotenks could only hold Super Saiyan 3 for five minutes before unfusing.  From what we’ve seen, SSJ4 seems to be much more stable than SSJ3, but maybe that doesn’t matter when it comes to Fusion.
Anyway, the one bright side to all of this is that Omega has lost the other six Dragon Balls, so now he’s back to being plain old Syn Shenron, and Goku or Vegeta can beat him solo when he’s like this.
Tumblr media
Except, no, because Syn just uses the exact same trick he used before and swallows all the Dragon Balls again. And the good guys just stand there like idiots and let this happen...
Tumblr media
... Except for the four-star ball, which Goku manages to grab before it can fly into Omega’s mouth.  Well, that’s something at least, but it would have been more interesting if they had intercepted a few more Dragon Balls.  Let Vegeta take on Omega with only three Dragon Balls and see how well that goes.
So there you have it.  Hopefully I don’t have to explain how Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta doesn’t count as an idea.  It’s just a combination of three pre-existing ideas: Oozaru, Super Saiyan, and the Fusion Technique.  That doesn’t make it a bad thing.  They were right to put SSJ4 Gogeta in this show.  It’s a great call, just don’t try to tell me it was some brilliant innovation that GT came up with.
There’s nothing fresh in any of this.  Gogeta 4 vs. Omega Shenron is just Vegito vs. Super Buu.  Only the jokes don’t work and the techniques are dumber and Omega doesn’t do anything cool to put up a fight.  He just keeps making idle threats and getting his ass kicked.
✨Is This Episode Worse than "The Roaming Lake"?✨
Tumblr media
You can defend this episode by saying “Well, at least they gave us Gogeta”, but that’s kind of the point I’m trying to make here.  Like I said from the beginning, Dragon Ball is a power fantasy.  That’s the appeal to it.  And GT keeps screwing up that appeal by giving the audience a taste of power fantasy, only to snatch it away.
Super Saiyan 4 is a great example of this.  It’s supposed to be this ultimate power, but Goku keeps getting his ass kicked whenever he uses it.  He’s constantly talking a big game, only to get wrecked, and then he has to ask his kids to give him their power so he can finish the fight.  Now he’s got Vegeta backing him up and that still isn’t enough, so they fuse into Gogeta and that doesn’t work either.
GT loves to say “no”.  Can we see more of Bulla, Goten, and Marron? No.  Can we see Pan turn Super Saiyan?  No.  Can we check out adult Gotenks?  No. Can Vegeta be a Super Saiyan 4?  Well, okay, but only long enough to fuse into Gogeta.   Oh, well can we see Gogeta win a fight? No.
The thing is, in a story arc like this, you could at least have some fun rooting for the villain, since he seems to be cleaning house so far.  That’s how I found a favorite character in Cell, and I think that’s why a lot of fans enjoy Broly and Majin Buu.  The thing is, Omega Shenron isn’t really getting that kind of dominant portrayal.  I mean, sure, he’s having his way with the heroes.  Nobody can stop him, but he’s so damn lethargic about it all.  Also, it doesn’t matter much that he survived a Big Bang Kamehameha to the face when he keeps getting flustered by guys like Trunks and Uub.  He can’t even kill Mr. Satan, so how big a badass can he be?  Omega Shenron keeps mocking all the “small fries”, but he hasn’t been able to do anything about them.  You know what Majin Buu did to all of Goku’s little pals?  He ate and killed them!  Omega just doesn’t have that same energy to him.
So what you end up with his is this lackluster final battle where nothing ever seems to get done.  We’ve seen a lot of big power-ups and transformations here.  Limit Breaker Super Saiyan 4 Goku.  Syn Sheron becomes Omega Shenron. Vegeta turns SSJ4 and fuses with Goku. Goku even pulled off a Super Dragon Fist in the previous episode.  But none of it matters. This is part four of a seven-episode battle, and it feels like we’re right back to square one.  ‘
“The Roaming Lake” may not have the power scaling of this episode, but at least when Goku blows up an indestructible dam, it stays destroyed.  TRL wins again, 61-0.
✨Positivity Page✨
Tumblr media
Well, not much got accomplished in this episode, but at least Gogeta got right of that shitty effect in the sky.  That makes the show a lot less ugly to watch, and we can all appreciate... wait a minute.   Is that the Statue of Liberty?

Fusion Revived - CH 9 (The Dream of One)
➤ This story is actually complete (finished Sep 2021) over on my Ao3 already; I'm just publishing it here on tumblr too for archival purposes. I hope any and all curious readers enjoy if they haven't checked it out yet!
SUMMARY: Majin Buu has been destroyed, and the Earth has known peace for close to a year now. Life hasn't been too peaceful for the person responsible for saving the world and the entire universe however, but when an ordinary woman meets him one day, things start to change.
RATING: Teen and Up. PAIRING(S): Vegito x OC/Reader, alluded Gochi, alluded Vegebul CONTENT: Canon Divergence, Slow Burn, Friends to Lovers, Family Drama CW(s) THIS CHAPTER: None.
Tumblr media
She had to make another delivery to Dr. Brief. This was the perfect opportunity.
It’s been long enough, almost two weeks. Surely Bulma would’ve settled in nicely with Vegeta again by now, so there wouldn’t be much of a risk of igniting the scientist’s anger if she showed her face. Theoretically.
She had to take it either way. She wanted Vegito back, more than anything, and that dragon radar was a must to have. It would’ve been far more logical to have Goku get it for her like he offered to, but she needed to step up here. She felt that she owed it to Vegito.
~
This time, Dr. Brief was waiting for her. She entered the building, toting an even larger stack of folders than last time. The CEO was standing by the front desk, and ceased his discussion with the employee there when she approached.
“Ah, thank you my dear! You and your department make my life so much easier.” The man smiled. The small black cat on his shoulder mewled, and her somber mood lessened at the cute sound.
“It’s no problem, sir.” She cleared her throat. She didn’t know where the woman was in the building, and she’d rather not waste time wandering around, so she took her chance here.
“If I may ask, is Bulma in today? I need to speak with her.”
“Yes, she’s in. I can take you to her office.”
“That would be great, thank you.” She’s thankful he didn’t question why she needed to talk to his daughter, but since she had the position she did, he likely assumed it was related to business.
Dr. Brief led her down a series of halls, going past the familial quarters and deeper into the rest of the structure. As they walked, with she keeping a close but loose distance from the doctor, her mind reeled.
Bulma telling her no would be the worst end to this. If she really wanted to go that route, she could ask Goku to take the radar from her anyway, but what good would that do in the end? He was one of her closest friends to boot, maybe he would take offense at she suggesting to go against the woman’s words. Maybe Bulma would try to punish her via legal means to top it off, and that was a headache she did not want in the slightest.
When Dr. Brief led her to the door of his daughter’s office, and left her standing there, she tried to calm her racing heart.
*knock knock*
A balled hand gently struck metal, and she waited with bated breath.
“Come in.”
A feminine voice called from the other side. Not wanting to let her anxiety freeze her solid, she immediately opened the door.
Blue eyes made contact with hers, and their owner went stiff.
“Hi.” She spoke, though the strain in her tone was blatant. “Hope you aren’t busy right now, because I need to talk to you.”
“…About what?”
Bulma’s response was tense, but it lacked hostility, something she was grateful for.
“Your dragon radar. I need it.”
“Why?”
The scientist asked in a raised tone of voice. She could see that the blue-haired woman surely became suspicious now, as her stare harshened into a glare. She stepped further into the room to partially close the door behind her, just in case Bulma started shouting.
“I want to use the dragon balls to wish Vegito back. As his own person.”
She quickly added in the latter sentence, knowing that implying she wanted to refuse Goku and her husband would’ve surely set her off. Her hunch was right, as she did see the spike of fury in Bulma’s blue irises, before it fizzled away just as fast. Curiosity was left in its place.
“His own person? You mean, separate from Vegeta and Goku?”
“Yes. I don’t know if the dragon can do it, but I want to still try.”
“… … …” Bulma went silent, and stared at her closely. She could tell the scientist was examining her, trying to get a better feel of things. This is the first time they’ve properly spoken to each other, and since their first ‘meeting’ involved something that people would see in tv dramas, she couldn’t blame Bulma for being on guard. She’s thankful Chi Chi wasn’t around, as from the exchange of words they had previously, she got the impression that the Son matriarch was the far more emotionally volatile one.
If it were Chi Chi she had to ask the radar for, she had no doubt the woman wouldn’t have bothered to hear her out, refusing because of sheer bitterness…probably pettiness too. Bulma at least hasn’t chased her off yet.
“Well,” Bulma leaned back in her chair. “I don’t see a reason why I shouldn’t give you the radar. I know that you…meant a lot to Vegito. And, I guess he meant a lot to you as well, since you’re here now.”
Considering how the fusion was her ex-husband in a way, she expected Bulma to express a little irritation at the minimum, but she instead started smiling slightly. A more solemn, vaguely sad light entered her eyes.
“Speaking of that…I wanted to apologize to you.”
“To me?” She asked, eyes widening. “For what?”
“…For basically taking Vegito away from you, like that. I’ve done some thinking about it since then, and it struck me that it was…very heartless of me.”
Unsure of how to respond, she stayed quiet. Bulma continued, looking down at her desk and tapping a finger.
“It was difficult, adjusting to him being around. The idea that I would never see Vegeta again…it hurt. Every time I looked at Vegito, I saw Vegeta. But, he wasn’t him. It got to the point that in my eyes, Vegito was almost like…a ghost. In a weird way.” She chuckled, though it contained little humor.
“When he told Chi Chi and I that he didn’t want to be with either of us, it made that feeling worse. He was…fascinating I have to admit, but he confused me. I was so frustrated over everything, what Buu and his handler did, and how Vegito was a permanent reminder of it, that I…never tried to understand how he felt about it all.”
“…It was just a bad, complicated time.” The reassurance left her lips involuntarily. She kept talking, briefly looking down at the ground.
“For what it’s worth, I don’t hate you…or Chi Chi. Took me awhile to stop feeling angry, but I understand why you two made the wish. You don’t have to apologize.”
She cleared her throat. “All I want is Vegito back, and in a way where you and Chi Chi can keep your husbands. It’ll be a happy ending for everyone.”
“Hm.” The scientist brightened up. “You’re right. And honestly, I shouldn’t exactly apologize to you anyway. It’s Vegito who deserves it.”
After everything she and Chi Chi did to him, how they treated him… The memories troubled Bulma. She vividly remembered the last thing Vegito told she and Chi Chi before he left in a fury, and soon, left this world altogether. That bridge between them had absolutely burned to ash, but she felt driven to see if another bridge could be built. If ill feelings could be forgiven, and let go.
Bulma pushed such thoughts back for now, and pulled out a drawer in her desk to remove something from it.
“Here.” The scientist held out a circular, white device with a knob at the top of it. Its screen was currently black, as it was powered off. She moved forwards to take it.
“This is the radar. You’ll know whenever the dragon balls become active again with this, which should be in about…”
“Four months.” She cut in. “Goku told me.”
“Oh?” Bulma looked amused. “You’ve spoken with him?”
“Yeah. He came to visit me a while ago. With the Instant Transmission thing.”
“I see. I’m assuming he already knows about you wanting the radar?”
“Yes. He said that he would go gather the dragon balls for me.”
“Sounds like you both have it all figured out. All there’s left to do, is to wait for the dragon balls to re-activate. I’ll trust the radar to you until then. You seem very responsible, but try not to lose it. Those things aren’t easy to make, believe it or not.”
“Right. I’ll take good care of it.” She gripped the contraption tightly.
It was all riding on Shenron now. If the dragon couldn’t bring Vegito back, then she would have to live with that. Easier said than done. She not holding what happened against the two other women aside, she knew that she would never get over how abruptly she and the Saiyan were ripped apart.
She never got to say goodbye to him. That alone made her not want to accept him being gone. So, she wouldn’t. She wouldn’t even try to, until Shenron was summoned.
…To think, she’s going through all this effort to revive someone who she thought would just be an annoying acquaintance and nothing more…
“Well, I guess I’ll be seeing you.” She turned to walk out of the room, but paused when Bulma spoke up again.
“Before you leave…let’s exchange phone numbers. Just to keep in better contact, in case something goes wrong with the radar.”
“…Ok.” That was good enough logic for her.
After they registered one another as a contact in their cellphones, she bid Bulma a temporary farewell and left the room. After she closed the door and turned back around to make her way down the hall, she was stopped by someone who was standing nearby.
A short, purple-haired boy with blue eyes that looked up at her with an awfully piercing gaze. Despite being 9 years old, Trunks had a bit of an intimidating air to him. Considering who his parents were, she wasn’t surprised.
“You’re really going to try to wish Vegito back?” He bluntly asked, arms crossed.
So, he was eavesdropping…that also didn’t surprise her.
“Yes.” She paused, feeling awkward. It wasn’t every day that she spoke with kids, and unlike Goten, Trunks didn’t seem to be that amiable.
“Do you…not want that?”
“Never said I didn’t. It’s just surprising. I guess you really are his girlfriend.”
“Girlfr-” She started then stopped, the heat of embarrassment immediately rushing to her face. It took some strength, but she managed to keep her voice level.
“Kid, I’m not his girlfriend.” She shook her head. “I don’t even know if he likes me like that; not that it’s important anyway. I just want him alive again.”
At this, Trunks lost the edge he carried. Similar to Bulma, his expression fell; becoming vaguely remorseful.
“…Sorry…” He muttered. She knew what he was referring to, without he needing to say it. Perhaps he had involvement in it somehow, but the details didn’t matter to her at this point. She mustered a smile, even though her heart was still beating at a quickened pace because of the boy’s earlier remark.
“It’s fine. If this works, all will be well.”
Trunks merely nodded, and didn’t say anything else; keeping his stare fixed on the ground. She took this as her cue to leave, as she had to get back to her work place anyhow.
She headed down to the main entrance, but to her surprise, a familiar spiky-haired man left a room just as she came near it. She ignored how her heart jumped, especially when he turned to face her. Off the bat, she noticed that he was…about as tall as she was. A touch endearing, but she wouldn’t dare voice it out loud.
“Uh…” She gulped. “Hi…Vegeta.”
The man’s face was neutral, mouth forming a line. His eyes were in a scowl, but she detected no anger or unfriendliness in his stare. If anything, he regarded her in a faintly…soft manner. It was almost identical to a look she caught Vegito giving her one time…
Vegeta nodded in acknowledgement, but didn’t speak. He stepped past her and down the hall, in the direction she came from. She watched the Saiyan go, but recalled what she was doing before, and resumed on her way.
She walked down many halls, exiting Capsule Corp with the dragon radar tucked safely into her bag, feeling more hopeful that she’d get to see the smug warrior again soon.
                                                                                                             ༻ ❁ ༺
Her office door suddenly slammed open, making her jump.
“She was talking to you about something.” Her visitor gruffly stated, entering without waiting for approval and pushed the door shut behind him.
“What was it?”
“…It was about the dragon radar. She wants to wish Vegito back to life, with his own existence separate from you and Goku. Didn’t Goku tell you?”
“No. The clown’s been too focused on his family, I suppose.”
Vegeta snorted, and crossed his arms. Bulma smirked.
“Well, that’s why she was here. In four months, if her plan succeeds…there’ll be another pure-blooded Saiyan around. However unnatural his origins are.” She hummed thoughtfully. He tsked.
“You say that as if it means anything to me.”
“Maybe it does…or doesn’t. But obviously, Vegito’s powerful. Stronger than you and Goku even. Does THAT mean anything to you?”
“…Hmph. We’ll see.”
Was all Vegeta said in return, before taking his leave. Bulma knew, from the bottom of her heart, that he was going to train. And be training for a while.
She shook her head, entertained by her husband’s seemingly indifferent demeanor. She was aware that he wouldn’t take being the third best on the planet and likely in this universe sitting down, but despite how devoted he’ll be to sticking to the gravity room, she was thankful he was even here at all.
…It reminded her of what had to be lost first. She sincerely hoped things would work out.

FUSION HA! DBZ Fusion - Cronenberg Style ... Horror ficlet below!
Every time they fused in DBZ I always laughed, thinking of one of my favorite childhood films, "The Fly" starring Jeff Goldblum. Wait, did I say childhood film? Haha. Ha. Anyway! Fusion gone wrong, but not resulting in charming phat or starving Vegitos but like “The Fly” where Vegeta gets freakishly strong because he absorbed Goku, before deteriorating into an awful abomination and begging Bulma to pull the trigger. Vegeta panicked--the fusion must have failed. Kakarrot was nowhere in sight! Yet a tingle in his spine built up and sparked, small but growing, before a roar of a raw, foreign power burned and mixed through him, quickly exciting and elating him to new, ruinous heights. Vegeta erupted with victory, glorifying his dramatic power up, his exhilaration driving down deep the humiliation that he'd finally only surpassed Kakarrot by taking his body into his own. And soon, he became more exuberant and aggressive in his denial--combatively and sexually. Bulma had no complaints...at first. The Prince of none has dreams with his fingers in his face, but it's not HIS face under the flesh his fingers are digging underneath, as the visage of glinting eyes and faint remnants of a smile that catches the sun threaten to surface, before he wakes up in a cold sweat... He dons his old gloves, partly to cover the bursting sores that won't heal, but mostly the new blue tints peeling through the skin around his wrists. A stranger in Bulma's unlit lab, he stood at a dim monitor, breathing hard, before jabbing gloved finger stumps to the keys. Vegeta registers the faint remains of his princely features in the dark surface of the monitor as his fingers linger heavily between prompts, eyes vacant as he remembers early on, far before she knew, when Bulma asked if he'd done anything lately to make himself more handsome... One index finger at a time, at last Vegeta types his inquiry: ASSIMILATION? DID VEGETA ABSORB KAKARROT? >NEGATIVE >FUSION OF VEGETA AND KAKARROT AT MOLECULAR-GENETIC LEVEL Weeks passed before Bulma could finally bring herself to visit where Vegeta had sequestered himself, after refusing aid and shutting off the comms. A wall of heat nearly choked her as she shorted the locks and the doors blew up their retainer shafts. The gravity chamber stank. Bulma blinked through the hot, oppressive air around her. Through stinging tears she made out his form, black spikes jutting through twisted colors blistering and bubbling from his body, as he slowly, almost welcomingly, scaled down the walls on bare hands and feet towards her. "Look what I can do now, Bulma." Before her head could turn, he was already behind her. "I can teleport now. Pretty great huh?" The voice carried two inflections at the end; his own sarcastic bitterness, the other cheerful, light, and familiar. She gulped, throat suddenly tight. That was one of the last times she'd seen him. She went to the doctor with Yamcha, unable to go through with having it. Bulma recoiled at the thought of that boiling skin, the growing deformations, the sudden, then slow loss of the two men she knew...and what the baby would be... Vegeta-rot burst through the window and stole her back, binding and arranging her body with marionette ki-strings to force a fusion with her and their fetus, in an effort to make him more "Saiyanoid" and "normal" as his last desperate, broken hope. Yamcha didn't stand a chance... When his faltering power gave out, the strings refracting & shorting through his ki channels and fraying what physical control he had left, Vegeta crumpled onto the floor--oozing--and aimed the nozzle of her refitted blaster to his crown. She couldn't. She daren't... But she did. And then in a few years the B rated sequels came out featuring her monstrously deformed Vegeta-rot Capsule Corp top secret lab baby, breaking out and unleashing grotesque havoc upon the world.
THE END! 🥰💀

Four downed another cup, and played with the small glass container in his hand.  ❝ Once in a blue moon, I have card games with Korin. He's told me there's no point in me receiving training from him since there's nothing new he can teach me anymore, so I thought something simple and easy like that could be fun for us. He's tried that mind-reading trick of his to get the upper edge, but I think I've gotten the hang of blocking him out. ❞

Gogeta was a little more relaxed now (maybe because of the alcohol and calm atmosphere?). He swallowed his second cup after refilling it.
❝ I had a customer try to ask me out once, when I was working the register at my workplace. She just...went for it, after flirting with me for a second. I admit that I stared at her in shock a little too long, but I declined. She left disappointed, but I have to give her props for her bravery. I personally could never. ❞

Vegito's second shot went down easy. His tail swayed as he recalled an amusing memory.
❝ Goten had his 14th birthday party in one of those entertainment, arcade places in Satan City. Still surprised Chi Chi agreed to that, but anyway, he challenged me to play against him in this dance game that had its own little stage. Had to hit the arrows on it with your feet in time with the songs n’ whatnot. Couldn't turn him down, even if I was hesitant to get up onto the platform in front of the dozens of people around us. I got into the rhythm pretty quick though! My score stomped his. ❞ The potara fusion puffed out his chest, looking rather proud of himself.
