why is all paleoart so stiff and boring? like is it just 90% of what you see is cheap stuff commissioned to illustrate grade-school textbooks. or what? there's gotta be some paleoartists out there just killing it.

#if you accidentally use good lighting or composition in your illustration of the carboniferous period #the Secret Guild of Paleoartists comes to your house and skeletonizes you #before mounting you in a display as a warning to others #a lot of astronomical art has this problem too #especially of like views from exoplanets' surfaces #like i think it's doing a bad job of communicating information #“this is what the silurian might have looked like”#no this is what a bunch of random silurian animals that are anatomically correct #but look like they're made of stiff plastic might have looked like #this may seem like a stupid gripe *and it is*#but this is one of those areas where representational art is still like important #and contributes to the culture!

I love how every single time, without fail, that I have a random thought about a cool show I watched on Netflix where I’m like “Oh yeah, I remember that show. It was pretty good. When’s the next season coming out?” and the answer every single time is: “It was cancelled.”

I just found out The Irregulars isn’t getting a season 2, despite season 1 having done pretty well. Probably old news for most, but it just popped into my head and I’m like let me look it up. CUE MY COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE to find out it was cancelled.

Netflix really is the fucking worst streaming platform, bar none. So far both Hulu and Amazon have only cancelled one show that I liked, whereas Netflix has cancelled like twenty at least by now. I have zero interest in getting involved in anything that isn’t a guaranteed hit or a one-off because they’re just gonna cancel it.

they always have to pass the item with the brand name pointing towards the camera and i start dying laughing everytime

Miguel’s actions literally do not make sense if his fear of dimensional collapse reoccurring and his empathy towards the more horrible “canon events” ISNT sincere and yet there are still people genuinely proposing theories like maybe he’s just lying about this for incomprehensibly stupid reasons.

Can't help but think of Dark Matter (Zero specifically) as the new main antagonist after the gang eventually defeats Nightmare.

While adoption is certainly the more reasonable and realistic option, there is something so fucking funny to me about Heinkel and Yumi having a kid via the most impossible way

Cause like,,,,,,, okay so the way I write Heinkel usually, she’s intersex in the “undescended testes and large clit” kind of way. Internally, Heinkel’s got all the ‘male’ reproductive stuff so TECHNICALLY she does produce semen, just like, with a basically infertile sperm count

So what I’m picturing here is Heinkel fingering Yumi after a couple rounds and some of this shitty semen gets pushed in and badabing badaboom, Yumi gets knocked up

Everyone is flabbergasted that this worked
