[Atypica spoilers] Thinking about Byler getting together and Casie and Izzy from Atypical. If you don't know, Casey is the center of a bi love triangle between her boyfriend who she got with in season 1 and best friend who was introduced in season 2 and this was the cover of the show for a long time:

Anyways, she ends up with the best friend

And this is their first kiss right after Izzie's confession which is, notably, not really her making a move at all. They've had a lot of romantic tension lately but then it got a little weird and distant and she basically says "I know you know I like you and I know you don't like me so please just don't act weird about it I miss you as my best friend" and she gets interrupted with...well, what you see above. I believe the exact quote is "If I knew you would be like this I would have never in a million years told you how I felt, because it is becoming incredibly clear that you don't feel the same." (Angsty scene Shawn Levy hinted at, anyone?)

She's apologizing for making Casey feel uncomfortable when she was in a heterosexual relationship and saying that she is not trying to make a move at all, she just misses her and regrets anything that would drive a rift between them...and then Casey kisses her like this.

Just...thinking about Byler and this. That's all.

(Other things of note: the boyfriend remains a character in the show, he just isn't in plots with Casey anymore and, similarly to Will, Izzy was very supportive of Casey's relationship and would often listen to her talk about it. Sometimes, like Byler, even those scenes had tension - a scene that started with Casey telling her she and her boyfriend had sex ending with a VERY homoerotically slow handhold. There are moments where it's clearly upsetting to her but she still is supportive and removes herself.)

to covert switching anon: yes, i/we experience that too! especially in childhood before self-awareness or treatment, it was much less like "i have suddenly appeared from nowhere, but i know i am a different part with a strong separate sense of self" and more like "hm. well i don't feel like that previous version of me is the me i am now, but i have no idea why." i usually wouldn't realize unless someone had told me that they thought i was acting differently than before, which wasn't often.
