Head bonks when they’re brushing their teeth over one sink

A persisting argument of Dick wanting to save any stray bugs that make their way into their apartment while Jason wants to eradicate them (because Dick thinks they’re neat, but Jason associates them to an unkept home)

They don’t own a mop, so they make a conga line where Jason shuffles through with a wet towel and Dick shuffles through with a dry towel behind him

Dick coming home with groceries, only for the both of them to go back out again because he forgot the top thing on the list; it happens consistently and Jason has an inkling Dick does it on purpose (he does)

Whipping each other with towels and vaulting over furniture to escape impending doom

Tucked away in this ask, only I’m not sure what else to add hahaha.

Just Jason consciously falling in love with Dick over a series of mundane moments

So he associates all these little things with Dick in that way young lovers do

A certain route they patrolled, the flickering of a neon sign, the wind pulling through their hair as they sat up high on a skyscraper. The pounding of his heartbeat as they chased each other, the sweltering heat of a humid day or the smell of a coffee – warm where Dick pressed it to Jason’s cheek and warm throughout his body when Jason sipped at it and let it chase away all the fatigue. Dawn on the horizon with Dick at Jason’s window - lingering just a moment longer.

Jason being very aware of how smitten he is and doing nothing about it. Just basking in the present moments as they come and being content in their afterglow.

This is perfection. No notes. Superb.

Uaaaaaahhhhhhhh an art like this must exist, right? It’s too good not to!! Damian being ornery with Dick in this sort of capacity (with them both fawning over Jason) is probably my most favorite dc fanon thing hahaha. Thank you for the visual of this, anon!

Hahaha, how Dick keeps his degeneracy under wraps is beyond Jason, truly. Truth be told though, it stops being discreet because Jason’s reactions to all of Dick’s dirty talk is so obvious. That’s okay though because Dick doesn’t mind. Even if he goes down, Jason goes with him; they’re partners in life and in their perverse ways. An accusation Jason adamantly refuses because they are not the same; no way!

To which Dick will roll his eyes but it’s whatever. Denial is the first step to acceptance. That besides, it’s not like Jason isn’t the one pulling Dick aside or beckoning him someplace private after Dick drops those suggestions. ;)

Hahaha, the perpetually single ones for sure. But I think those who are in committed relationships would be overwhelmingly fond and nostalgic. Seeing dickjay’s young love, so new and sweet and exciting, would remind them of back when they were first falling in love. And it’d maybe spark some rekindled romance in their own relationships as they reminisce.

Meanwhile dickjay admiring those who have been in relationships longer because they’re comfortable and settled and really? They can’t wait to be there, but for now Dick and Jason just enjoy each other day by day. //u///

This exchange is the closest to eldritch!Dick as I can imagine.

Will-o-Wisp!Dick lives in my head rent free and it’s the closest I think I can get to something eldritch (because I’m dumb I don’t actually get what it’s supposed to be LOL). Or something akin to a will-o-wisp. With Dick being able to twist his voice and image to lure people into the bog that is Gotham’s bowels. He usually makes himself known as a robin chirping in the night; a warning song.

Other times he’ll appear as a child, dashing through shadows with laughter echoing through alleys. A beautiful boy that lures criminals away from the main streets and any lingering lights, or guides innocents someplace safer.

And then there’s Dick Grayson, grown and bewitching with the mirthful light in his eyes and a wicked smile; bared teeth and a jaw that might be too sharp.

Dick becoming an urban legend in his own right. Where he’s ‘passive,’ only not really. He guides people through Gotham and depending on the situation, Dick will bring them home. Or he’ll walk them off a building’s ledge, into oncoming traffic, or for those most wicked – infront of the muzzle of Red Hood’s gun.

Ahahahaha, thank you so much! Jason getting all flustered after being exposed (by himself, no less) is so charming. For as much as I love maiden!Jason, he’s probably a bit of a freak ngl. Like Jason probably kink shames himself after bringing up something he’d like to try with Dick and Dick sputters because the depravity is !!!

Just Jason basing the validity of some of his kinks on Dick’s reaction to them because Dick is the most depraved man he knows.

Of course even when Jason catches Dick off guard (surprisingly often), Dick gets on board real quick.

But yeah, without fail I think it’s always Jason that exposes his own kinks. And he’s not casual about it at all once he realizes and that exposes himself further and it’s the most vicious of cycles, hahaha.

Tbh, no change LOL. Dick’s domesticity kink and how he reacts to Jason being domestic transcends time and circumstance. So, basically: Simp King!Dick Grayson. Who is genuinely turned on by stupid, mundane domestic things but who also plays up his reactions because it makes Jason laugh and fluster and Dick loves to see that.

The visual of Dick being taken out at the knees or falling into the wall for support or just keeling over a bit while biting his sleeve because Jason is cooking/cleaning/doing laundry is just so silly hahaha. Or even Dick just being all sparkly and flowery because yeah, check out his boyfriend (only don’t, thanks) being so sweet and caring and wonderful. //U////

But also the heated moments because of course. Where Dick:

Hooks his chin over Jason’s shoulder as Jason cooks something over the stove. Hands on Jason’s hips and peppering kisses just below Jason’s ear (and in abo setting getting a little high off of Jason’s scent because nothing is more tantalizing than that). And Jason tries to turn around so that they can fool around a bit, but Dick is all, ‘nope, keep cooking //W////’ and proceeds to just shower Jason in some heavy petting

Oh. Basically the above, but Jason is washing dishes. And Dick manages to make Jason come with only the graze of Dick’s teeth at his nape and some dirty promises

Dick pushing Jason back onto a pile of unfolded laundry and having his way with him right there. ANd Jason loves it in the moment, caught between still hot clothes and Dick burning above him. Up until they get off and Jason realizes he has to redo laundry. Again.

It’s cool though. Dick joins him and they fuck again with Jason bent over the wash, detergent spilling everwhere.

Omg they’re fooling around as the washer is going only to have it flood with suds because they accidentally spilled in too much detergent ahhhahaha

Honestly torn between Damian wholeheartedly believing possessiveness = protectiveness, or whether he's aware of the difference but was impacted by losing Jason (when Jason left the League) and that loss fucked him up in a way that makes him believe that to keep someone close, you've got to own them. 🤔

Either way, Damian rates Dick low because there's always room for improvement. There's potential, surely, but generally Dick is too nice.

As for something that constitutes Dick being bumped up to a 10? Ahahaha, Vampire King!Dick turning Jason and making him his vampire queen and doing so in a way where Jason can only feed on Dick to survive. And when Jason tries a hunger strike, Dick retaliates by starving Damian somehow. It's an inconceivable thought if only because Dick is so soft on him, but it would prove very telling.

But yeah, Talia and Jason. Because I’m a sucker for Jason whump forever and always, I’m partial to a relationship where Talia only cares for Jason because of his relationship with Bruce. So there’s no love or genuine affection there for Jason as an individual, just as a convenient means of achieving a faroff goal. Where Jason is, once again, collateral damage.

That’s a disservice to Talia though so like, reserved mother figure or just a lady who is fond of the nanny/bodyguard she found for her son is cool, too!

Jason winning over the hearts of all the shop employees because despite his intimidating stature, Jason is a timid maiden as he wanders the shop. His gaze keeps wandering to the delicate lingerie and corsets, but Jason’s convinced it’d be dumb on him because he’s not exactly dainty

Queue encouraging salespeople and clientele and Jason being so flushed that everyone falls in love with him

Also everyone being like, hot damn, because that bust to waist ratio? Sinful. Who’s the lucky guy that landed him?

It’s the atmosphere of the place that gets Jason sharing a picture of Dick and oh boy does Jason preen as everyone admires his boyfriend.

Just Jason having a good time despite the initial (and persisting because he’s a maiden) embarrassment lol.

And then he gets home and omgggggg Dick

Dick sneaks in and catches Jason trying to lace up the corset on his own and Dick is such a goner because hot damn hot damn he’s fainting don’t call for help though, just cushion his fall with those bolstered tits; let Dick catch himself with hands braced on that cinched waist fuuuuuuuuuu–

For real, Dick is just so delighted because Jason is so gorgeous (and cute and sweet, because of course he flusters and tries to explain everything away, but Dick isn’t a fool; he’s fully encouraging and supportive)

Then it’s just Dick pulling the corset tight for Jason

And marveling at the way he pulls Jason’s breath from him

Bahaha for comedy the baby is absolutely Clark and Jason's. Logic be damned, Bruce would be positively teeming with rage directed solely at his 'partner,' his 'better half,' his 'we're divorced now' bestie and just. One would think Superman went and impregnated Bruce's babygirl as opposed to the cloning that actually happened.

But yes, basically Bruce being mad because:

Clark is the father

The baby isn't Bruce's

Poor Clark can't catch a break, either, because Dick? He is his adoptive daddy's son through and through and is also teeming with rage directed solely at his 'hero,' his 'most revered mentor,' his 'i'm disowning myself now' second father figure because like. Really?? Dick just bought a ring?? ('But you haven't had your first date yet?' Clark would note, to which Dick would bristle because, 'It's serious-- ;n;').

Let's not forget Damian 'brocon' Al Ghul-Wayne, either. Because ahahaha. Even while Jon is dropping the biggest hints about being disappointed and wanting to start a family with Damian, Damian is zeroed in on Jon's dad because Clark and Jason? Absolutely not. As you might guess, Damian is teeming ahahaha. Because to him, Jason is simultaneously mother and babygirl. In that same vein, Damian's place as t h e b a b y in Jason's life has been stolen from him and he's distraught.

Meanwhile Tim is with Kon and they're just like, PHEW. Thank fuck. But then just a few seconds later they're fooling around because, 'no clones here; I'll put a baby in you myself,' and 'yeah? go ahead and try. ;)'

HI UM i really admire you and your art and i was wondering --

so i really love the way you format your comics, its really straight-forward and lets the reader process every word with ease (which i think adds to the impact of the writing), and that one rue comic with the split colors for the parentheses... how do you do it without making it look so messy?? to bring up another example, the hide-and-seek comic- i love how subtle and genius the call back to hiding behind the door was, it blew my mind... i take a lot of inspiration from the way you format and lay out your comics but for some reason i cant wrap my head around how you do so much with so little (in reality this might just be the result of me wanting to add so many little details for others to find , while being conflicted on keeping it simple, and,,, AGH...) for context : im trying to make a comic about isolation, but i keep filling up the page because i want to add things - when really i know i should be keeping it simple... but other than removing unnecessary details, i want to know what else you do to make your comics so clean and simple yet it rips out the emotions from your heart and has you stare at it as it beats. like... i want that type of impact!! i want to affect others on such an intense level!! i want to induce emotions!!! but how?

(sorry this was long, HAHAHA i just want to drive my point home- again with the 'wanting to add a lot of stuff to prove a point' thing but i digress)

ok first of all that is a huge compliment and it means v much to me, thank you 😭🙏❤️❤️

tbh for me the answer of keeping things uncluttered is paying attention to spacing and eye direction. Spacing depends on timing, if you want an action to happen slowly for instance you can make the space between panels longer, or take more panels for someone to complete an action. There's tricks for directing your eye, if you ever read anyth about focal points (eg biggest contrast, triangular shapes pointing towards what's important), but really with comics I keep in mind you're reading left to right and top to bottom.

The ruehob comic is actually simpler than you think 😅 I already knew which text had to be on the left and right with august's text post. And after that the "lanes" were so narrow there weren't a lot of complicated things I could do, just make sure you still read left to right and saunter vaguely downwards.

when you talk about putting little details, that doesn't necessarily have to distract people. Like I honestly applaud you having the drive to do detailing. You just have to make sure your compositions allow for it. Like if you think about ghibli backgrounds, they're elaborate and beautiful af.

For smth about isolation, my first thought was that you can draw a person in a setting alone among a bunch of objects, for instance. If you keep the person small but surround them with a bunch of detailed objects, it could feel very lonely. Just make sure the person still stands out b/c they're what's important, so for example the background stuff is a less saturated colour, or the person is the least detailed thing on the page. I think that's the main thing, you just have to make sure the things important to what you're saying stand out. Clarity is rlly half the battle when I'm laying things out haha

In school our teacher called this "killing your babies" because it sucks when you work hard on a cool drawing and it just doesn't work out😂This also still happens to me, it's actually partly why I keep things simple so I can work fast and throw out less

Here is a timestamp from supereyepatchwolf's video about Chainsaw Man, which has some of the coolest fuckin layouts

He's got other stuff that talks about manga and how eye direction can work and what cool stuff has been done. Off the top of my head his vid about one piece and his vid about gantz have helped me understand how to cause Emotions. Also I think he has one about Junji Ito that specifically talks about how details can make you scared, if you're into that 😂

How goes the fma x albedo fic? I hope that doesn't sound pushy, I'm genuinely curious. And in that vein, do you have any little drabbles you may have written or want to write? Especially with your recent kny ocs/yourself and your siblings. That'd be super fun to read about! Currently not working on any fics, since I just came out of 10 weeks of summer research where my days began at 8 am and ended at 9 pm for probably less than minimum wage hahaha (doing research is a Bit Sad but I get a whole month to relax before classes start again so thank goodness for that)

Finally working on Homuncular Nature again!! I definitely do have a lot of plans and cool scenes playing out in my head for the next chapter, it’ll just come down to when I actually put pen to paper (or stylus to iPad) to actually organize and write them all. The road block I think is that I have seen neither Albedo nor fmab very recently and all my concrete ideas are for around the 30 episode mark for fmab, the turning point with the first actual confrontation against father and the subsequent Briggs arc.

Rewriting Ten Thousand Maple Leaves! A lot of people have been very kind but I think I missed the mark with my first chapter to be honest. My writing has gotten a lot wordier and less succinct, which feels like I’m filling a chapter more with fluff and unnecessary description than actual content. I think I also dislike how I characterized Sanemi and how quickly Kazuha was willing to agree with things. Writing both of them is kind of a difficult challenge tbh! I think in rewriting it I want to give back to Kazuha more of his vagrant role in the games, where he is avoiding the law for reasons somewhat out of his control.

Ebisu siblings content! I think it might be fun to try having them interact with more of the canon characters in kny but I also think there’s some value in a complete sort of outsider point of view when inserting characters into a piece of media. I feel like whenever I see self inserts I see a lot of ocs making themselves indispensable and making meaningful relationships with existing characters that way and that’s totally valid! That’s a lot of what I do for crossovers as well. I think when it comes to my own ocs though, I want them to feel grounded in some form and the reality of it is that none of the characters I make based on myself or real people are that impressive or remarkable. But I also think there’s a lot of value in showing smaller scale things outside of the main interactions and plot to show that even though we aren’t remarkable, we still have our own meaningful connections and ideologies and stories :) in the end the Ebisu siblings are a lot more visual though so I may just continue making doodles and art without writing anything haha

Kirby & Meta Knight ageswap AU: I was mostly doing this on my ask-gikabi sideblog in short form comics, but I lost sight of what I wanted to do after making the discord and starting to interact with some of the people who followed it. I think a lot of people are inspired and have their own very cool ideas that I wanted to take into account but then eventually it was no longer my story or the story I wanted to tell, which is why I’m thinking of restarting it as a fic. This one is still in very rough idea stage though, I have honestly no clue how I’m even going to begin organizing it

Yanfei ace attorney crossover: this one’s just pure crack lmao I would definitely write it as crack taken seriously but I think this is fun to explore just for small ideas that pop up every now and then, i.e. yanfei is semi-immortal because she’s half adeptus so it would be Really Funny to me if she showed up in dgs era, got her attorney’s license, went into hiding after it became obvious that she wasn’t aging, and then re-emerged after rebranding herself as her own daughter or granddaughter. That, and I have a lot of fun imagining someone as pragmatic as yanfei trying to get through the sheer chaos of aa despite being otherworldly

Continuing winter weather advisory: I got to a really good point in that fic and was rereading it today like,,, damn I wrote that? And it would be fun to see where I planned on going with it so I do want to also try working on that a bit if I can

Kazuha & Kunikuzushi role swap au: this is something I posted about a Long While ago but it’s an idea I continue to be fascinated with :) I especially enjoy how these two characters could have had completely different roles and personalities depending on how their pasts happened (with wanderer being so nice and turning so bitter and kazuha growing up so spoiled (for lack of a better word) and turning out so weary and yet kind

Link click and mha crossover: this one is honestly just a very recent idea but I think it would be fun to make a drabble on how lightime photo studio would be able to continue operating even in another world and the trouble they might get into for illegal quirk usage and what using cheng xiaoshi’s powers in a world where being able to tell the future is canonically possible would entail

I have!! So many ideas!! And not enough time or motivation to actually write any of them most of the time :’)

i know including dino's danceology is such a cop-out, but he's so passionate about it that i feel like i have to include it. so his main content is a self-choreographed dance video that he uploads once a month

but it's also kind of a vlog channel where he challenges himself to learn from different dancers! he visits various studios and signs up for whatever class sounds interesting to him. to make it fun, he'll ask the person behind the desk to choose a random number

regardless of his familiarity, he gives his all and has so much fun doing it. occasionally, he'll come up to a classmate and have a quick chat with them about what got them into dance. viewers love hearing the stories

one person got into dance to get them out of the house. another is doing it because it was their best friend's dying wish. another has kids who are taking a dance class in the same building at the same time. someone else wants to impress their partner at their wedding next year. he just loves knowing that art can bring so many people together, regardless of the reasons

eventually, his channel does get popular. cute guy, infectious energy, fiery passion? it's just a recipe for success. unfortunately, this means that he does get recognized more often, and he likes the attention, but it does make classes harder for him

too many eyes on him, even if he's trying to stand in the back and hide his face with his hat pulled low. people edge away from him, not wanting to be compared to the talented dancer, intentional or otherwise

and the worst part of it is that, though people have been supportive about his dancing journey, he feels like he's That Guy now. the one who can be (and needs to be) perfect at whatever he does no matter what. he feels like he doesn't have the space or grace to fail in front of everyone anymore

so he announces a break on his channel and returns to his roots. it takes a while to find you because you've lost touch over the years, but when your friend says that you're at the childhood dance studio, he's elated. even after all these years, you're still there

only to find out that you're not there to dance...you work behind the scenes now, cleaning up the studios between classes because you've lost your passion for the art

he can't believe his ears when you tell him. you? you of all people? you were one of his best partners! you were amazing! a gem in the making!

"yeah, well." you give a bitter laugh, putting the mops back in the closet. "even glass shines under the light."

but your reasons run deeper than that. you want to get back into it — why else would you work part-time here, trying to surround yourself with people who have motivation to spare?

he decides that he's not going to trouble you with his own problems. instead, he's going to take your hand and jump headfirst into the dance world again

he doesn't start slow. the first place he takes you is a breaking competition/jam in the next town. it's noisy, it's packed, and honestly — it's perfect because everyone's losing their minds over the participants' threads and footwork

"you're lucky i didn't secretly sign you up!" he yells into your ear, one hand hovering around the small of your back and the other holding a plastic cup. the contents threaten to spill as you shoulder through the crowd for a better look

it's almost a complete 180 when, two days later, you're in the rickety chairs of your elementary school auditorium, watching kids stumble through a ballet recital. you lean over to snicker to chan, "remember when we got the tree parts?"

the parent next to you, phone up to record their baby, glares at the two of you until you shrink in your seats

his break was supposed to be two weeks long, but he also got a part-time job at your old dance studio and the weeks stretch by before he knows it. it's fun, though. catching up after all this time, turning on the music and being silly when you're supposed to be wiping down floors, racing to the convenience store to see who buys their favorite ice cream first

it's all — fine. until you're at some tango showcase and one of the audience members recognizes chan. honestly, he's surprised he's gone this far without being recognized (as conceited as that sounds). the stranger asks him if he's planning to go back to youtube at all, and you look at him, wide eyed, because he's never mentioned a channel this entire time? much less one that has so many subscribers that people are approaching him in public?

"i don't know," he laughs awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "i've been busy."

but now that the topic has been brought up, the tables have turned. you binge a ton of his videos, often in front of him, and he's cringing at some of his early ones. back when he was too excited and didn't know how to edit. "it's character development!" you're yelling at him as you run away, phone on max volume

you're the one trying to get him to dance more, and it becomes this weird dynamic of pushing each other to get back into dancing and realizing that hey. that energy was inside me all along — i just forgot how to get it out without having someone here

because it's definitely possible to hone your craft by yourself, but finding yourself in community makes it so much more fun

"let's start off slow," you tell him. so he's just doing short dance challenges with you and posting them, which surprises viewers because

1) he's back after nearly three months of no communication

2) he's posting a lot and sporadically, unlike his previous strict schedule

3) WHO IS THIS GUEST??

you're introduced as his friend, but the way he laughs with you at the end of takes, hand clinging onto yours after you high five, has them thinking it's...something. for now, they'll drop eye emojis in the chat and appreciate that their dancing king is back

This one is for prompt 2+3 that I toyed around with before putting down. Kaito's civilian persona saves Shinichi using KID skills + a cute identity reveal. These were such good prompts but I couldn't muster up much content...

I was thinking maybe a comic even but well, it turned out I didn't have enough time for that unfortunately

The story is that Shinichi gets kidnapped by some remaining Black Org members. This is set post-Conan and BO takedown.

Kaito is alerted by a random BO member walking by, muttering about a hostage. He manages to sneak in their hideout (abandoned warehouse) and sits in the rafters, observing. He then takes them down with his trusty cardgun + extra bombs he had on himself.

Shinichi has been beat up and was being interrogated by the members. They didn't really have any plans though, and were mostly there on the basis of revenge than getting much info out of him. They were low ranking members who managed to escape by sheer coincidence.

As Shinichi is starting to pass out, he recognises the distinctive sound of a card being fired and smoke bombs going off. As the smoke starts to clear and a set of sneakers start running towards him, he hears a worried voice shouting "Meitantei! Meitantei!"

Then there's a cute hospital scene afterwards where Kaito introduces himself as Kuroba Kaito, and starts to scold Shinichi for recklessness after hearing the entire story (Shinichi once again, ran off after seeing suspicious men in black HAHAHA). Then he produces a bouquet of flowers and stays by Shinichi's side until his friends appear. Then they live happily ever after~

I'm still sad that I didn't get to finish all the arts I planned, but I hope you enjoy my vision nevertheless. One was Shinichi and Kaito at the crime scene (in the main post), but it doesn't really show the main aspects of this au, so it's low priority.

This was supposed to be the 'main' piece of art but I had a lot of trouble with it aha...

Kaito and Shinichi facing off on Haido City hotel. It features Shinichi and his mask + Kaito spinning his card gun. They both give challenging looks to each other. Chronologically in the timeline, it's set before the art I ended up posting. I was thinking maybe this was their first meeting.

It's based off the classic Gosho spread of Conan vs Kaitou KID. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I'm lucky enough to have the physical art book >v<

How it feels to start over? I don't feel anything except momentary melancholy and nostalgia from time to time. I do miss the many people I met and some of the experiences I had-- but with the new messy changes to the Twitter / X app, I found it difficult to enjoy the company and the experiences when the base is built poorly. It's like... enjoying tea time altogether but the ground is wobbling and you keep worrying when the floor is going to collapse. I just think my works and my mains deserve better than that.

Moving to Tumblr (again), Instagram and Bluesky wasn't so bad. If anything, I feel more free now that Twitter / X is not what I see everyday. I no longer worry about the need to do fast information-processing of real or fake news, I don't see people hating on each other as much as I used to, no more modern generation jokes that I tried so hard to get and say, the expectations of posting everyday, no more of the parasocial people that want me so much and the mountains of other people's expectations that suddenly fell onto my lap the moment I hit 6k-7k followers that time... It's now just me, my sketchbook and my old small house. It's always been. Many followers or not, I've always been that.

A lot of people seem to forget that though. Others that have strangely begged for me to play games with them while some got very overthink-y or obsessed with me as if I'm some idol... now treat me as nothing, after I left Twitter / X. Thank God they woke up. It's most peculiar that others seem to worry or be so affected by my followers and account more than I ever will be.

I don't think it should ever matter if an artist is no longer on a mainstream platform (unless they wish to make a financial living out of being a community or fandom artist). I don't think me removing myself from a broken app should mean I'm suddenly lesser than who I was back when I never had an account or when I had a small following.

Without the audience I built and dearly miss, I'm still a sketch artist. I miss them all very much though-- and I wish them all well. And it's not like they're gone, hahaha. Many are still here and I'll always be thankful of their continuous support and love.

My main house is Tumblr and Bluesky while my little treehouse is Instagram-- and truth be told, I'm rarely on them since I have a good but challenging job now. I also went back to reading my old and new books, haha!

But anyway, if me losing that Twitter / X account means that I'm now nothing but some visitor on the internet that loves to sketch her imaginations and home? Then, good. People finally remember that I am and will always be exactly that.

There are some that always saw me as myself and I hope they all know they have all my luck, love and thanks. Thank you for loving my artworks, have a good day. ♥

I don't put any anime there because I usually move on from a fandom after 1-2 years. Like, I loved Kuroko no Basuke, Yuri!! on Ice, and Free! in the past, but I'm no longer that hyped about them now. I love Jujutsu Kaisen right now, but I don't know if I can still say the same next year.

Anyway, more of my blabbering why I like those Top 7 list under the cut so that the post won't get too long. xD

Book: Qiang Jinjiu (Danmei) This is my most favorite danmei so far. Really love the main characters' relationship, the super intense war, and the intricate politic/conspiracy in this book.

Game: Honkai Star Rail Probably my most recent obsession and it will remain so for a while since the story's continuously updating. I thought the characters look interesting and I fell in love with them after following the story. The gameplay is also fun! <3

Game: Slow Damage (Visual Novel) I've always been fond of Nitro+Chiral's visual novels. I played everything from Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and DRAMAtical Murder (not Sweet Pool because I know it's tragedy and I don't wanna read tragedies *sobs*). For me, Slow Damage is the best VN that N+C have released so far. The gameplay and arts have been upgraded so much and I love love LOVE the main character! 😭 Book: Can Ci Pin (Danmei) My second favorite danmei from my favorite author. <3 I always like sci-fi and this is such an awesome story that kept me on edge the entire time.

Book: Mo Du/Silent Reading (Danmei) My third favorite danmei and the one I've read the most (4-5 times by now, I think?). I've always been fond of detective/mystery story, so this hits the brief. Plus, the main pairing's dynamic is lovable and funny at the same time. I think they're my favorite danmei couple to this day.

TV Series: Masterchef Australia I always love to watch cooking show since I was a kid. I think I've been following this series since the first season hahaha...

Book: Lord of the Rings Ngl, this is probably my favorite movie to this day. I remember watching the trilogy over and over again in high school that I can practically recall every line and scene. I think I even learned some Elf language back then. 😂

Coincidentally, I think these comments I found discussing current X-Men comics might be relevant (and I thought it was funny enough that I just wanted to share tbh)

I’m a firm believer in the Bucky Clause and with the Spector system’s recent popularity as Moon Knight, I doubt it will be long before we see some sort of comeback (or at least,,,with my personal biases, I hope that’s the case hahaha). Initially, I would have thought a resurrection within the year would be a little quick, but they also revealed the identity of this new Moon Knight quicker than I expected, so I guess it’s definitely possible??? Idk, I’m torn between wanting my main guys back and interested in seeing further development of the “supporting” characters/this discussion of MK’s legacy that Mr. MacKay’s got going on. Considering modern comics, I’m going to bet on Marc, Jake, and Steven being back by January 2025, but I’m always open to change hahaha

And oooooh, don’t get me wrong Mr. Cappuccio has been absolutely killing it with the art, but I too would LOVE to see Mr. Smallwood draw Moon Knight again. I would also be unopposed to Declan Shalvey returning as well. As for my preference? Hmmmm, this is making me realize how much I tend to remember and dwell on the artists and writers I don’t like as opposed to the ones I do (or maybe it’s just I develop most of my faves through reading MK and thus they’re already on the project 😅). For example, I’ve enjoyed Pepe Larraz’s and Phil Noto’s art in the past, but I’m also torn on if someday I’d like to see a Moon Knight book with a darker, moodier art style using lots of negative space (that would need to be paired with a stellar writer to pull off, I’m sure). As for writers, I’m not going to lie, I would also be super interested to see Mr. Lemire return to writing Moon Knight. His volume was darn near perfect and I’ll be content if that’s all we’ll have for that, but,,,,I’m so curious. 👀 This is another super personal bias considering my second favorite volume of all time is Scarlet Spider (Vol. 2/2012), but I would love to see Christopher Yost take a crack at writing a post-return from the dead again Marc. But in any case, you’ll get absolutely no complaints from me if we kept the MacKay, Cappuccio, Rosenberg until the end of days, that’s for sure hahaha

Feral Pale King has intense fear and trauma so strong that is slowly damaging his mental health. feral pk still thinks that the radiance is watching him and is secretly plot revenge for feral pale king to make him suffer. In feral pk's mind, the radiance is patiently waiting for feral pk to let his guard down. which is the reason why feral pk became feral

and that thought gives pale king so much nightmares even though that the radiance is no longer here in hallownest

imagine an au of this au that feral pk is 10x depressed than before with a sprinkle of more angst. an au where feral pk is still paranoid of the radiance despite the radiance is dead which makes it pointless to be fearful of

an au where hornet tries to help feral pk overcome their depression and trauma

funnily enough, the way i see him in my head (which i don't really portray in my art much, i'll admit) he is very paranoid. not about the radiance, he's assured that she's gone. in the au, grimm is her half brother, and if there's anyone who could confirm that the radiance is no more, it would be him

instead, he is paranoid about pretty much everything else. in particular about failing everyone yet again, and hurting those close to him. the deaths of all the vessels that he was responsible for have devastated him, and it's the main thing that keeps his mental health in shambles. there are good parts to his new life, and he loves it and wants to experience the happy moments, but every so often he is hit by the reminder of what he did and how much of a failure he is. that, and all of his trauma that he can't process properly. those are the things that fuel his nightmares and constantly stress him out, no matter how happy he might be with his family around

so you're not that far off with your au idea. there is a lot of angst to fpk, and he is very much a depressed, broken man. i suppose the biggest difference is the radiance, even if she's gone in both the actual au, and your idea for the side au. also to the last part, hornet's involvement in his healing in the fpk au is a bit complicated, since she has a lot of her own issues to process and deal with. but they stick together, and that helps both of them in the long run. so i suppose in a way she does end up helping him, with the addition that she also manages to overcome her own issues thanks to him

but yeah, this was a very interesting ask! i really like this idea, it's not something i have considered, but it makes sense and i think it would be interesting to write about. if things went a bit differently with my vision, i could totally see myself going there, i might have actually considered something like that at one point if i remember correctly, though evidently it didn't go past the idea phase. so it's cool to see that someone else reached a similar concept hahaha

I think I'm gonna make a Visual Novel...

For a while now, I have begun to feel like I want my world letters (that's the serialized fantasy political drama I post on my website about finding identity and meaning in the after-effects of war, both literally and metaphorically, and also it has hot bisexuals and demons in it) to have some sort of more marketable and cohesive final form. Like, I know I'm THE BIGGEST proponent of doing whatever you want and bucking the trends... but this body of work is really important to me and I just want it to be more accessible to others.

At first, I was thinking "Maybe, I'll turn these things into an anthology collection -- but instead of time between the chapters, it's worldbuilding!" After all, with the understanding that my original target audience (my friends) was going to TALK TO ME in between the chapters where I could explain my worldbuilding, there is almost TOO LITTLE exposition. So, I was thinking I could make it like a discount- Ology book (like Dragonology or Wizardology) with stories interspersed with lore and maps and illustrations. It would be EXTREMELY UNORTHODOX still... but... I think the online book community (or the side of it that I have seen) could get onboard.

But then, I started spending more time on booktok and on booktube... and I kinda just don't think the average thing that sells well would align with this at all. This is ENTIRELY a personal thing, no offense meant to anyone who feels at home in those communities! But a lot of bookish adjacent people scare me a little, tbh >_< Like. Did you SEE what happened with the Seattle Krakens? Those people are UNHINGED. I am CERTAIN there are lots of great people there and also, the silent majority, etc. etc. but like... if I were to try to sell a novel, these are some of the people with whom I woulda interacted. And I just wasn't there for that.

On the other hand, I already know and get gamers. And I've compared my writing to a visual novel script before. It's still a leap to make it into a visual novel but, stylistically, less so.

The tower held. Tsevovan, arms folded behind his back, took a step in an attempt to intimidate me — as if he was more threatening than having half a monument slipping over your head in a plaza full of abominations. A thrall to naivete.

See? That's already the start of visual novel format right there. (Yes, I know how punctuation works in prose, I don't care, didn't ask :P) All I need to do is make some art and mini-games to spice it up and it'll be done! EZ! /j, obviously, I'm a gamedev, I know everything in gamedev is death.

So, after I finish my videos for 2023... I think I'm going to start working on my now-visual novel script as my "main thing" again. Take it a little slower on my YouTube... downgrade from "glorified powerpoint presentations" to "actual powerpoint presentations with a Vtuber" Hahaha!

I really do think, though, finishing and editing all this could be the biggest project I've ever tried to undertake. I guess this whole worldbuilding project is the biggest thing I've even undertook and Idk if I'll make it. Will this end up like all my other big dreams -- started and unfinished? I certainly hope not. Hopefully, I have learned how to take care of myself good enough to see this through to the end.

Hello! I'm a pretty new tot player (joined mid-june this year) (also new to tumblr and this blog) and I've been loving artem's characterization in his personal and main stories. But I don't really follow cn leaks (bc spoilers) and pulled for artems 2nd anniversary card without much thought. And hated it. I wish I'd found this blog sooner. Your thoughts on his characterization in the newer cards are very articulate and I think you've done a great job of highlighting the important aspects of his character and his dynamics with mc and how the newer cards are missing it.

On that note, can I ask which of his cards post-2nd anniv feature the old Artem and (especially) the og artemrosa dynamics because my mind tends to stick firmly to canon and I'm having a hard time trying to pretend 2nd anniversary never happened. It's fine if the plot isn't too exciting as long as the artemrosa interactions are good and Artem isn't suddenly a suave sex god (or has a randomized hobby as his selling point).

I don't have many of his old cards since I joined late and wanted to know if I should pull for new cards or just wait for the old card reruns.

ah gosh, i think people like you are why i was so anxious about second anniversary dropping on global. i am genuinely SO sorry. it comes out of no where. like it's a very notable drop in quality and shift in characterization, so anyone just pulling for second anniversary thinking it'd be fine just. woof. it's honestly EXTREMELY bizarre.

i really appreciate your kind words though!!! i started tot back during 2021 with the lost gold event, so all i had was the original artem for well over a year and got used to him, so it STUNG when second anni dropped. i totally and completely understand where you're coming from here, we're in this together!!!!!

oh gosh i haven't read ALL of the new cards yet, but i know enough that should be able to help for now. i do plan on watching them once i gather the Nerves to do so and writing a list of the must pulls and the must misses HAHAHA BUT. FOR NOW!!

MR cards can be missed unless if you really like the card art. the audio has always been pretty pointless and skippable. can't think of any SRs coming up for artem. go figure. his au SSRs (bakerlon, etc) are all good and in the clear. worth pulling for, imo, esp if you like the art.

skip any SSRs where it seems like artem is just doing a random new hobby. this includes his billiards, racing, and surfing cards. skip any top up SSRs. aside from saving you money, all of the new top up SSRs are just pure fanservice.

fluffy fuzzy time is in the clear. in all honesty it's baffling that a card where artem is flustered about mc playing with his hair comes after the sex god daddy dom card but whatfuckingever who needs consistency

his upcoming personal story card isn't like, life changing, but it's in the clear from what i remember of watching it. the art is very cute too.

third birthday card isn't amazing, but plot and character wise, it's also in the clear and has very cute art.

the other SSRs i know nothing about, so i can't speak for them yet. my apologies!!!! i'd personally recommend focusing on artem's older cards (i genuinely love all of them except for like. por una cabeza which is just kinda mid), as they are still stronger character wise than the newer ones, but the ones i listed ARE still fine. the game itself likes to only pretend second anni happened every once in a blue moon so it's very very easy to ignore . THANKFULLY.

As someone who really wants to share her ocs to the fandom ( art and fic wise mainly my ghost ship too) but is terrified to because ANXIETY do you have any tips or ideas?:( (I love your blog btw ❤️)

Hi there!

Short answer; Do it! Who cares? Have fun!

Long answer. First, I know very well what you mean. It took me a while to post about my OC for various reasons. I think the very first post I did was a bunch of redraw meme and I was terrifyed. Then I eventually gathered up some courage and did post more about her. I also took time to understand said OC, really flesh her out and everything, something I usually don't do when I share for the first time lol So she was ready for the world.

Second, English isn't my native language but I still love to write fic or at least, CoD made me fall in love again with it. I had a terrible experience when I was 13 that made me stop sharing anything and write in general, especially anything that would involve Canon characters. If English isn't your first language, I recommend to read some tips on how to write or just read! Reading books or other fics actually can help, especially to find how you like to write. And then just post to your heart content! You can check my side blog form my OC @stg-scottymoreau . (personally I like having a side just for her, so I can keep my main not over flooded with fic and all)

Third, I have been in many fandoms in the last two decades (oh boy I'm showing that I'm old lol) and I know even back then, Canon X OC was always regarded weird or the usual 'war' ''no i'm shipping X with my OC! You can't have him/her!'' Althought it might still be a thing, I personally don't give a damn. Obviously other people will ship their OC with X (in this context Ghost is probably a very popular bachelor hahaha) I was sooo afraid as well in the beginning, but now I met other people who yeah ship their OC with the same Canon as me, and we just vibe supporting each other!

Fourth, this come as a tip because in this world it's easy to see people who create OC and somehow people are just going crazy about their OC and the creator is super popular and yada yada. And it become easy to compare, envy and feel unworthy. I know I did. But you know what? You don't need a thousand of followers to enjoy creating for your OC. You find yourself a little circle and then just have fun with these people. For a long time, even when I started to share my OC, there was only my best friend who was super supportive and into everything I had about my OC (she still is). Otherwise, it was hard to feel like anyone else was. Call it luck that someone found about my OC and start to share my stuff and then yeah I gained some attention but not that much hahaha I'm league away from the super popular level. However, I'm still with the same five people who 'support' me.

Final thoughts, don't let your fears and anxiety stop you from sharing something that probably means a lot to you. Just take the dive, do it! I did and even if took a long time before I found people interested in my creations, it was worth it. Let's be honest on the internet you will always find good and bad people, but the bad shouldn't stop you from having fun with the good ones! Who cares if people find your OC cringe? Cringe is fun as well sometime. You can't please everyone and that's ok.

Oh one last thing anon. Very important, the most important of all, show me your OCs when you finally feel like sharing them! I want to see!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

1- My most listened to song is Black Mambo by Glass Animals because of the muse loves the video someone put together of Sebstain Stan during GQ photo shoot. This video is what motivates the muse to write my current WIP, “Where’s the Danger.”

3- My favorite musical artist i began listening to was Taylor Acorn. I also love to find acoustic songs redone. I have a whole playlist that I imagine my character, Lotus, from Where’s the Danger, singing.

7- Sebastian Stan.

10- I have cried many times this year because I am frustrated with my physical health.

13- I turned 30 this year. The old jokes everyone made were funny and welcome.

14- Year one by Nora Roberts. (For my birthday my sister and brother-in-law bought me the rest of the series.

16- Beginning of the year my parents got a puppy, Taz, and my dog Midnight together.

17- Taz and Midnight together

18- My memorable meals are the soups I made for my family members. (Homemade chicken noodle, chicken gnocchi,zuppa toscana.) Then also any store bought pasta sauce is ruined for us after we were able to make our own pasta sauce and canned this year.

19- I’m most excited for next year because I am starting to buy crystals and also because my family supports me to publish a book.

21- I got a mini fridge for my room lol.

22- I really enjoyed getting out of my house for a night at a hotel. I was able to write so much and got good sleep without Taz jumping on my face to wake me up hahaha

23- a message to myself?... I would probably tell myself to believe in myself, keep trying and be patient with myself.

25- I wrote my favorite character, so far, Lotus. She is the main character in Where’s the Danger, who is trying to get Mr. Barnes to leave her alone but her stubborn determination is what attracts him to her. She was in a terrible relationship at one point that drastically changed her future, and is still traumatized by it. She has always been stubborn but after that relationship she is very independent and does not want to owe anyone any favors. Her favorite form of communication is by teasing and annoying everyone. She loves it when someone knows her so well to pick at her nerves too. Knowing and trusting someone to be able to mess with the other but not mean damage is special to her because she is a highly sarcastic person.
