New doll diorama is up! I went with the Christmas morning theme again, complete with this year's Target sweater ornaments (they're too cute to be called ugly LOL). Plus this is a great way to display some of my mini toys - almost all of them are from Mini Brands! :D Lots of kids in here, so I'm saying some of the adults are in another part of the house LOL

another first for me: my first barbie extra doll!

School of Magic had there Holiday party. Images from it may be blurry because look, my camera skills suck, and then they enchanted the drinks! Happy Easter from the Doll Gang!

I was on a roll making color coordinated sweaters for everyone, because assigning people color identifiers is fun. Also playing with my variegate yarn collection is very fun, and peeling to combine yarns is mostly fun...but also time consuming. (fun fact: Theo and Tabitha's sweaters use the same base variegate, but Theo’s is matched with light gray while Tabitha’s is matched with black, and both sweaters look completely different). And unlike at Critmas, Brooke and Brie got in the shot this time too lol (because I made too many sweaters as usual ^^; )

I think Summer’s pineapple-sunrise one is my favorite, it just came out really really pretty.

Kenleigh and Damian are ready for Grandma Gets Real's ugly sweater party on Instagram! Honestly, these are too cute to be considered ugly sweaters lol. And when you aren't sure what to bring to the party, you bring a little bit of everything. :D How adorable is this little peppermint table? I found it in Bullseye's Playground at Target, and it also came with a smaller one that could work as a coffee table. Love them!

In the same vein, that movie would NOT have been complete without representing the kids who played with their dolls "too hard" (cutting their hair, bending them in weird ways, etc.)

Acknowledging that Barbie did in fact mean a lot to some girls. This movie was geared towards everyone, whether you grew up loving Barbie or hating her.

The mom and her daughter

The fact that when Barbie was starting to become "defective" and/or when she was in the real world, you could start to see her ""flaws"". Like I noticed in some scenes her eyebrows were unplucked and no longer perfectly sculpted, or her skin no longer perfectly smooth with foundation.

It was clear that SO much thought and research was put into this. I couldn't believe how many references there were to specific clothing items, certain playsets, etc.

The fact that Barbie and Ken DIDN'T end up together, and that Barbie DIDN'T indulge Ken in his flirtations (is that a word?) even once

THE FACT THAT I WAS SO CLOSE TO ACTUAL TEARS LIKE SEVEN TIMES???? LIKE WHAT????

The weird dark humor coming out of nowhere

The fact that Barbie never once looked at the human women (who were "imperfect" in comparison to her) with disgust

......the moment between her and the woman on the bench 😭😭😭

The mom's rant about how hard it is being a woman (esp a mother) and how you can never win 🙌🙏

The misogyny in the Real World was so well done. It wasn't overexaggated or over the top it was just NORMAL EVERYDAY LIFE
