i was able to get the hypmic curry and figured it’d be cool to share what the tracks were about!! the tracks themselves aren’t publicly available tho, so do buy the curry if it becomes available again!! enjoy!!!

Samatoki: Rio, just to be clear, you said you’re making curry right?

Rio: Affirmative; I’ve also prepared spices. Everything has been properly gathered.

Samatoki: T-That’s great then…

Samatoki: No matter which way he cooks it, nobody’s gonna want to eat this…!

Juto: I can already see us getting reported to the Consumer’s Bureau. The lawsuits are just waiting to happen…

Rio: What are you two whispering about?

Samatoki: Nothing.

Juto: It’s nothing!

Cow: *moos*

Juto: A cow?!

Rio: I was fortunate enough to have caught a bull alive in one of my traps.

Samatoki: So, we could have had a beef curry, huh…

Juto: Clearly! So how do we get him to use that instead??

Samatoki: I got this. Hey, Rio, you’re not gonna use the cow in the curry? I think it’d be fine with just that.

Rio: No, I intend to use just these ingredients. More ingredients do not necessitate a better curry.

Juto: Of course that’s the response!

Rio: Now then, let’s begin cooking. First, is the onion. Chop it into small pieces and fry it in butter until golden brown.

Juto: U-Understood.

Rio: Samatoki, I’ll leave you to grate the apples.

Samatoki: T-That’s a hell of a lot of apples.

Rio: I intend for them to be a standout flavour in the curry. After, combine them with the fried onions.

Samatoki: S-Sure.

Rio: As for me, I will be preparing the fond de veau.

Juto: At this rate, the curry will be completed as intended…!

Samatoki: Maybe I can knock him out…? No, Rio doesn’t have any openings.

Rio:…Hm?

Samatoki: What’s wrong?

Rio: I’ve used up too much water preparing the ingredients and don’t have enough to use in the curry. May you keep an eye on everything as I go and retrieve more water from the spring?

Juto: Of course! You won’t have to worry about us here!

Samatoki: Make sure you watch your step heading out there.

Rio: Thank you. I’ll be back soon.

Juto: With the way Rio moves, it’ll probably be 10 minutes before he returns… Within that time, we must get rid of those ingredients somehow!

Samatoki: Juto! Don’t just stand there looking stupid and come help me out here!

Juto: ?! You’re making a hot pot with those ingredients? What are you intending to do with that??

Samatoki: Just shut up and cook!

Juto: Then I suppose you have a plan in mind?

Samatoki: Yeah.

Rio: I see… Apologies, I didn’t realise how hungry the both of you had gotten. …Well, I suppose I will just have to use this cow in the curry.

Juto: Yes, it truly is a shame, but it seems we have no other choice but to do so!

no one asked but here r my opinions on the new outfits since mayhaps they are the new Official Outfits??

ichiro - an improvement. i like that it's very true to his og outfit and i think it looks better with just red (rather than the red + blue), plus that weird white undershirt that i always hated is gone <3

jiro - BB YOU LOOK SOOO GOOD it's a p small change but i like it, i like the hoodie more than his prev jacket and i love that they kept his stupid nonfunctional flannel <3 but most importantly the HAIR AHHHH im OBSESSED WITH PONYTAIL JIRO. the only small thing i dislike is the lack of hat </3 rip jiros hat (2017-2023) you will always be remembered

saburo - i liked his overcoat from his prev outfit so this fit is a bit of a downgrade for me :[[ he still looks good though and v true to his character so i dont mind too much

samatoki - oh thank fucking god, an outfit worthy of his hotness. ive been mourning tdd samatoki ever since i knew of him and this blue leather jacket is SUCH a good look, and we didnt even have to sacrifice his tits out shirt. it's perfect

jyuto - good!! he looks hot as he should. the red gloves were iconic and will be missed but overall i think i like his new outfit better, it's a little less stuffy looking

rio - an upgrade bc he looks somewhat more like an integrated member of society and less like a permanent navy seal. i like that he got to keep his camo but also wear some normal-ish clothes

ramuda - this seems...p much the same except the jacket changed and he has a hat now? i think its a hat? i dont like the hat. the jacket looks good and i understand why its yellow but... i miss the turquoise... the turquoise and pink was iconic... :[ overall not bad but miss the old 'fit for sure

gentaro - idk i dont look at gentaro enough to know what exactly changed but he looks fancier. i guess he looks better? idk and idrc sorry

dice - SOOOO GOOD. like took all the essence of his og design but makes him look less homeless bc what was that trench coat. he looks so stylish im obsessed

jakurai - idrc about him but i think this outfit is def an improvement bc theres a bit more flair beyond just 'i am a doctor'

hifumi - i like it! white is a good colour on him

doppo - i think its an upgrade!! he looks a bit more loose and comfortable which i think is like...symbolic maybe. and he just looks better. good for him.

sasara - FUCK THIS WHERE IS HIS HOUNDSTOOTH. IT WAS ICONIC???? give him his full suit back cowards. also the bowtie is not giving. im sorry i just do not like this outfit. only good part is that he matches w rosho (they r in love)

rosho - again. i do not like this pattern. his old pattern was better. also he managed to look nerdy but still hot in his old fit now he kinda leans too much into nerdiness??? idk i just do not like it 😭

rei - i mean...it's okay but he looks so. neutralized. like he got an office job or smth. where's the dramatic fur coat and gold accessories and white pants and the red shirt and-- it's an ok outfit but as an official outfit i feel this is definitely a downgrade

kuko - i really like his new outfit, i LOVE the hoodie thing? i like how it keeps his casual yet buddhist look. his og outfit is also rly good tho and a bit more colourful so...idk, im torn on which i like better

jyushi - it is ... ok. it's pretty similar to his og outfit but i feel the execution is just...slightly worse. i prefer the original :[

hitoya - good! keeps the essence of his character, i mean i feel like it's p much the same except slightly diff jacket and he's draping it over his shoulders now lol. which is definitely a look and further increases his sex appeal-- imo--

package day! it's nuis nuis and more nuis this time (plus misc but all smic)

first the asanuma cover issue of seiyuu animedia aka the only thing i was originally going to buy lol

it's a lot bigger than i thought it would be and the pages are all thick like a proper photobook, asnm's warumono-san photoshoot is fucking glorious in its entirety and there are soma and shoutan spreads in here too (which is written on the cover but i was too asnm-focused to even notice until i flipped through)

got two copies to potentially cut one up for poster-making but... idk if i can bring myself to do that, might just keep a spare lmao

ew02 nuis have finally been obtained, and yes i got the new ones that i said were ugly (it was like an affectionate sort of ugly!)

i still need to get clothes for the 15cm fanmade ones, they're absurdly adorable (more stiff than i imagined, in a good way) but completely naked. so photo gets cropped here for now lol. did pick them up a... familiar-looking jacket they can share in the meantime though

ichiro cosplay jumpscare! not for wearing, will see if i can somehow incorporate it into a nui house/nest area

(just to be fair to the two blorbos i picked up a set of samatoki cosplay bracelets too lol)

anyway. most of the nuis are new but the orig design ichinui and samanui are dupes because......

these new ones have bones! and beef. with the original originals. but. surely they'll start to get along soon......

i thought a lot about getting just the bones and doing the surgery myself but honestly i don't have the heart to cut them open. or the skill lmao. so luckily managed to find a listing for bone-in ones

grabbed a bunch of clothes for them too

and love them, holy shit they fit so well. if i can find this shop again i might buy more next time

(they're too cute for me to change their clothes now... will get around to letting them try on the other outfits later)

I am very grateful for the hiragana above the kanji in manga and novels...

#i suck so bad at kanji...but then the hiragana clarifies what it is and then its so much easier to read #and no. im not saying in fluent in hiragana. its just easier to read lmaoooo #i was rereading hypmic ch 21 bb vs mtc and jiro says “”良かった!“”#the character 良 threw me off #but above it was よ which is the hiragana for “yo”#so he said “yokatta!” aka “I'm glad” or “I'm relieved”...which makes sense considering sabu-chan just woke up after being ko'd last chapte #i kinda figured thats what he was saying anyway??? but still i dont wanna guess what hes saying from facial expressions alone

Meet the Characters: Rockefeller Springs

Well, welcome to the first MTC event, starring Rockefeller "Rocky" Springs! Without further ado, let's meet them!

-Basic Info-

Name: Rockefeller Springs (Rocky) Age: 15 Birthday: 2007/02/21 (Using today, 2023/01/26 as a reference point) Pronouns: They/It

-Physical Characteristics-

The first notable characteristic about Rocky is the fact that they are a mechanical creation made out of gears and bolts. They have "hair" that is actually just steel wool. It uses the fact that it's a robot to repeatedly reshape and rebuild itself. Other notable characteristic include their vaguely steampunk aesthetic and glowing red dots for eyes. They also have the useful ability of creating raw metal from their fingertips. Here are some references as to what they look like. Credits to my two friends @thebindingofdragonshy (Note: this is not her usual art style) and @renthewerecatboi, respectively. They have slightly different takes on their appearance and I am tuning my artistic abilities at the moment so this should just be a base guideline for your vision. This is beginning to look like a text wall so I'm now going to transition you to the images.

-Personality-

One of the primary traits of Rocky's is how unhinged they are. They have lost any sense of sanity and are hanging on by a thread at the verge of snapping. This is due to the first ~13-14 years of its life being left in complete isolation with nothing but itself and whatever they build. Besides that they have one major passion, inventing. Whether it's flying cars or even weapons concealed as regular items such as pens, they love making things. Rocky gets quickly attached to people they meet, this isn't too much of a problem unless you don't like Rocky, in which case it's very hard to get rid of them at this point.-

-Trivia-

Rocky is 5 feet tall (152 cm)

Their favorite color is orange

They have kill count of 4, which can go higher in some AUs, the current highest is 79

What started as a joke lead to Rocky being able to build things at nigh-impossible speeds, once there was a joke about Rocky building an entire plane in 47 seconds

During its original creation in November 2020, it was original going to be made out of Gold, Silver, and Palladium, giving them a bright yellow color. However sometime the following year, I changed the composition to a more Copper and Titanium based mixture, leading it to have a more red-orange color.

They can and will remove their eyes from their sockets

They also can and will remove their limbs and replace them if they feel like it

my hypster magazine finally came in the mail lmao and man the special feature talking about how the world is coping without mics is very interesting??? like:

crime as a whole is at an all time high

within ikebukuro, the police are doing fck all about it so the bb have volunteered their services to making the civilians feel safe

ichiro’s been a mediator within more casual disputes, expressing his desire to talk things thru if possible, jiro’s got his whole high school as a neighbourhood watch and saburo’s set up a huge surveillance system to keep watch

in yokohama, the sea port has been particularly targeted and the report says the police and yakuza have teamed up to protect the flow of commerce. katengumi has stepped up to protect the territory and rio is keeping watch via satellite images and drones

in shibuya, dice complains of disruptions in gambling dens and the lack of real gambling has dulled his senses lol. he’s trying to compensate by making his own gambling game lol and he hasn’t been able to pay his phone bill due to lack of funds so he hasn’t been able to talk to ramuda or gentaro

curiously, neither of those two were mentioned in the article, save for dice using the section to try to reach out to them

in shinjuku, the day is desolate and the night scene is busier than ever. doppo’s company has been particularly hit by logistics nightmares as they’re haemorrhaging money due to lost medical equipment. (doppo’s boss has been accusing him of stealing funds and doppo claps back asking what exactly has he been managing currently lol)

shinjuku central hospital has been at full capacity with patients due to the inability to fend off armed criminals. fragrance has seen a significant uptick in patrons

in osaka, businesses have taken a sharp turn towards maliciousness, with scams at an all time high. sasara and rosho advise not to go out at night alone, and rosho, as a teacher, further explains that adults have a duty to protect minors, especially as a person who has been affected by scams in the past. neither sasara nor rosho have heard from rei in a long while, stating dh is on hiatus because of it

in nagoya, petty crimes are up because there seems to be a restlessness amongst them without the mics giving the populace the power to stand out. hitoya himself watched a dude climb up nagoya castle literally for the memes. the court of law has been barren as of late so nobody is being tried for crimes but he believes justice will prevail in due time

kuukou and jyushi have taken up patrolling nagoya in order to persuade others into not doing crimes and all three of them still practice rap battling together
