Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai 2022
This was hands down, one of the most BEAUTIFUL pieces of screen I have ever seen. Not only is the story completely wholesome and free of angst and drama, it is beautifully told through wonderful dialogue, and stunning cinematography. The acting is incredible. Truly, so natural and easy to watch. This show is like watching art unfold before your eyes. The cinematography is also stunning, the colouring and shot choices blended together makes for something very special. I also was obsessed with the use of music throughout, and the way they utilised crescendos at pivotal moments. Truly a masterpiece and I'm beyond sad there is only 4 episodes. I'm going to watch this another 10 times. A new favourite 100%

The first two episodes are now available on Viki!
(four episodes are now available, as of 4/6)
And some reviews are already in:
After watching episodes 1 & 2–
The positives:
They made this series like a true kdrama
The production value is excellent
There’s quality in the writing, in the direction, the settings, the cinematography
It’s longer episodes
It’s more episodes
The negative:
It feels like “grooming” and I’ve really never felt like that about any of the other hundred, or so, BLs I’ve watched, before. I don’t even like using that word, because it triggers all the homophobia out there, but I’m just calling it like I see it…so far.
Granted, it’s only the first 2 episodes and there might be a misconception on my part, so I guess we’ll just have to see where it goes.
ADDENDUM (with spoilers):
With the 3rd and 4th episodes, I’m feeling better about the relationship between Ji Hyun and Jae Won. They really had my heart pounding in a couple of scenes.
If that bitch of an ex-girlfriend of Jae Won’s keeps coming between the two, I don’t think that will help his state of mind.
I hope the restaurant owner, Ji Hyun’s boss, kicks her ass! She needs a good ass-kicking! 😃
All in all, so far, I think this is one of the emotionally truest, and deepest stories, yet, in Korean BL.
I really think this one will succeed in redefining what bl
can ascend to.

Lemme talk about Arcane
So, I finally got into Arcane after watching everyone die over the visuals and
HOLY SHIT! It did NOT disappoint! Just the intro killed me (I also love Imagine Dragons so it was like a double death tbh) and as an artist, that play with color and the way each character is sculpted and presented hit so hard that I just...
UGH, no words. At all.
Also the entire show itself was like a fever dream and I wish I could watch it all again with fresh eyes, because my brain was not prepared for the level of anything.
But yeah, now I'm on board the Arcane train and wanna see what other people think about it.
