Honestly, I’m just interested to see what happens to Green Team today.

Because they lost yesterday, right? “The Green Ninjas have been terminated”, thanks Evil Eyeball In The Sky. But what does that mean?

There are several predictions the fandom and the ccs have come up with:

Green gets split into the other two teams

Green’s players can’t participate in the server for the remainder of Purgatory, aka a week or so

Green’s players get sent back to Quesadilla Island

Green’s characters are all fucking dead now ig

Looking at these options, it’s like. Man, idk which it’ll be.

Because splitting Green into the other teams might come off as cheap and against Purgatory’s harshness. Also, Quackity had a big huge speech yesterday about never getting onto Purgatory again because his team was about to lose, so idk man

Making the ccs not log in for a week would, frankly, suck. Not everyone on Green is a Minecraft streamer, and most of them are variety streamers, but a lot of them have been streaming mostly just QSMP, or at least have been spending at least half of their streams on the QSMP, since their first days on the server. It’s not as bad as it would be for Blue, whose more active members are Minecraft streamers, but yeah. Awkward

Sending everyone back to Quesadilla would be cool, but I can only imagine the logistical nightmare it would be considering how many admins it takes to run one of the QSMP servers, especially one as mod-heavy as Purgatory. Also? It’d be a lot like how it was when everyone was in Vegas: empty, only there wouldn’t even be murders to solve. Just the black concrete.

And making everyone make new characters is just shitty tbh, that’s not gonna happen

F1 Big Bang 2024 Schedule + Announcements

HERE WE ARE AGAIN FOLKS

Welcome Welcome Welcome to the F1 Big Bang of 2024!

There are a few changes this year, so please be sure to read through this post.

Firstly, we have a mod change! @nobrakesdown will be helping us out this year both in admin stuff and the discord! They will have the tag mod!cove on any posts.

Secondly, we are going to (attempt) staggering fic release dates this year. This means that after proposals are claimed and matches are made, teams will be able to pick their preferred posting date (more information will become available for this process when we are a bit closer.)

Third, we are also planning on opening the collection for amnesty posting after all the teams have posted their works. This means that if you have signed up but are unable to submit a proposal, and still complete a work, you will be able to post that work to the collection during that period.

Speaking of the collection, through technical difficulties, this is the correct AO3 collection for 2024. Unfortunately Tabs has had to take a leave of absence from the event, and as such we are unable to access the first 2024 collection that they made, nor are we able to access the parent collection. If this changes, an announcement will be made, but for now the right collection is (f1bigbang_2024) on ao3.

Finally, we have moved the schedule up but have not shortened it. It is as follows:

• Writer + Artist Priority Signup: March 15-30

• Writer + Artist Late Signup: April 1 - June 7 (writers) OR June 14 (artists)

• Checkpoint #1: May 7 (optional)

• Writer Proposals Due: June 15

And so, every single member of the ask blog (Yes, including Polite Benrey) had a great time on the rest of their vacation, where Leading Light did not try to kill or scam or summon a G-Man on them.

They later went home, and did NOT go their separate ways like a lot of fantasy stories do.

And they stayed friends for many years to come.

Leading Light successfully became a celebrity washout. He got no consequences for stealing Lady Gaga's entire discography. Him and his band are recovering slowly, but surely. They're learning what true love is again. And are happy.

Dr. Hypnos stole many McDonald's toys. He was later banned. She is happy.

Overlord got the Big Mac he was waiting in line for. He is happy.

DOG went on to share a fruitful partnership with the Love Letters, and his McDonald's is now an empire. DOG is happy.

The Y2K gang still isn't allowed on airplanes aside from Spork and Gordon B, and Joshua is taking his first computer science class this fall. They are happy.

The Swap gang finally got to see Swap propose to Neo. Their wedding was on a cruise ship they stole from the Merch team. They are happy.

The Worldstop household experienced an incredible popularity boom in Malcom's streams, thanks to Darnold agreeing to help him with some more insane things. Malcom and Darnold are now the Jerma equivalent of their world. Player is going to university, and is excelling in all his theoretical physics degrees, and are happy.

The Mad Science Team succeeded in taking over the world, and they made healthcare free for everyone, and made the world a kinder place. Doc also gave every Spiders 2 a funny party hat. They are happy.

The Admins kept gallivanting through space and having fun. Freeman aims to collect every game on the Nintendo WiiU. He is still 100 away. All of them are happy.

Capital M went on to win a Nobel War Prize for destroying property. She has upgraded her ship to have a self-serve ice cream bar and a bowling alley. Vil still has a complicated relationship with friendship, but vil is working on it and being kind to themselves while still being a supervillain. Vil also got a life-sized Eggman statue installed. He is happy.

The Merch Science Team is embezzling millions from Disney cruises after trapping them in a fake lawsuit. They ride the open seas and laugh knowing crime isn't chargable on international waters. They are happy.

Phoenix Wright got his badge back after proving Kristoph Gavin was guilty. He is happy.

GVRV is still stuck in Brazil.

CHAPTER 20 ONLINE on AO3

So, 5 days of alternating shifts begin this chapter. Let's see how our two deal with it.

Then thanks again to Cookies for beta reading. You are awesome. Because she always has a proofread and not only reads over it quickly, but also makes sure that everything is always true to character. Invaluable.

Then the current status: I started chapter 28 yesterday and am in the middle of it. Somehow everything always turns out to be longer and more detailed than expected. I'm currently at 146,000 words.

Sneak Peak:

Tim's alarm clock rings and, as always, he is immediately wide awake. In his childhood, oversleeping was never an option, and as a soldier, he learned to react to every sound, even in his sleep. Every morning, he goes for an early run, following the same mechanical routine, with only breakfast occasionally varying. On this particular day, Kojo is not there, which means that he finishes earlier than usual.

He sends his sister another quick text to check whether dinner at hers is still on for tonight.

As he checks his phone, he notices some new messages in the group chat with his work friends. He realizes that one of the group admins, Angela, has renamed the group to "Mid-Wilshire Legends". After reading the messages more carefully, he learns that the group is discussing Nolan's birthday present, which happens to be a voucher for a paintball match. Nyla came up with the idea as Nolan's failure in the shooting arena, where he was distracted by a man in a diving suit, still gets teased. Everyone in the group plans to take part in the paintball match and then go to a restaurant together. Probably the only highlight for Nolan, because Tim won’t give him five minutes at the paintball arena. He will shoot him down personally.

The conversation is now all about finding a date when everyone has time. Which is not so easy, with a big group they have. He makes it easy for himself and basically takes Lucy's free dates and simply cross-checks his own calendar before posting the same list. That's that sorted.

Then he writes a quick message to Lucy.

Tim: If I'm on the team with Nolan, I'm out. Don't forget to nap before your shift. Otherwise, I'll have to order T-shirts again.

He looks at his watch and decides there's no point in hanging around at home any longer. He'd rather be at work earlier. Before he leaves the house, he takes another look at his combined dining and living room. He sees the cactus on his dining room table. He is now the proud owner of a plant. Lucy will water it. Or it will die. It's not his problem. He didn't even want it in the first place. He shakes his head and smiles. It's just like Lucy to do something like this. And it's just like him to be unable to say no to her. Comparing him to a cactus ... he has no words.

The day gets super stressful. He receives countless messages requesting him as a supervisor. So many that he can no longer fulfill them all and needs to prioritize. What on earth is going on in this city today?

The most inquiring case was the discovery of drugs during a traffic stop hid den in a bag that contained ready-made chicken. The man who was caught with it was so co-operative – or in other words, scared – that he gave up the dealer right away namely the seller from the roast chicken stall, who was captured quickly after that. Who not only offered his customers chicken, but also drugs. Wrigley was hailed as the hero of the day for conducting a traffic stop. Upon noticing a broken taillight on the car, he immediately became suspicious when he realized that the car did not carry the aroma of roast chicken, which it should have since the bag was on the passenger seat. This led to further investigation and Wrigley's quick thinking eventually uncovered something important. Good job.

Time flies as he rushes from one call to another. He writes a few messages to Lucy during his lunch break, like how the coffee in the break room tastes increasingly strange and that she should bring one from home. But then he is on the road again on his way to another call. At least he's back at the station before Lucy's shift starts. He is sitting at one of the desks reading Wrigley's report. It’s clear to him that Wrigley rarely writes reports like this. Reports about drug possession and intent to sell, so he needs to read the report carefully and can't just skim it through. He needs to make sure, that everything is documented correctly, and the prosecutors can’t refer to any procedural error later.

Out of the corner of his eye, he sees someone place something on his desk. It's a coffee mug with the logo of one of his favorite coffee shops. He likes the place because they serve good black coffee. He can't exactly judge the rest because he's never really cared for any other offers there. He only drinks black coffee there. He is a simple man with simple needs, sue him. He looks up and sees Lucy standing next to his desk, already in uniform. Her smile warms his heart. And even more when he thinks about the fact that she took a detour just because of him, as the coffee shop in question is not on the direct route from her apartment complex to the station.

Hello!! If it's ok to ask, what motivated you to make a new wiki? I've heard some not really cool stuff about the fandom site but wanted to know your personal reasons!!

Thanks for the ask! Disclaimer that I only speak for myself: the rest of the QSMP Miraheze Wiki admin team hasn't input anything for this.

Most people have heard about the problems with fandom.com, so I won't go over that again. (the ads in particular make using their site unbearable for me personally).

I love wikis. I spend a lot of time Wikipedia editing, I copyedit for the Stardew Valley Wiki, and I have a lot of love for Wikis in general. I don't want to bash on the QSMP fandom wiki: there are tons of people working on it and putting in a lot of effort.

However, the fandom wiki has a big problem with uncited information. A lot of the information on the fandom wiki has no cited source, or cites unreliable sources (ie tweets from unofficial accounts). A lot of the information is subjective or opinion based (this is a common thing for new wiki editors). I don't trust the fandom wiki or its information. I wanted to make a wiki that was 1. not run by fandom.com and 2. heavily focused on citing sources.

On a more personal note, I also dislike the fandom wiki's focus on categorizing relationships so aggressively, as well as their inclusion of fan content and the content creator boundaries page. I'm a big believer in "Write/draw whatever you want, just properly tag and don't show it to them if they don't want to see it."

First I want to thank you. Your blog and your answers have been a grounding source of perspective in times of both happiness as well as the harder, confusing ones, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you… 🙏

My ask is related to some mutterings I’ve seen on Weibo, and it got me thinking. Some are wondering if what happened this week is gonna lead to the closing of the SP, if 🐢 are seeing as being still too “present” or like a risk.

If that day will come, what do you think will happen? Will 🐢 still be allowed to show support for them as a couple? Or will that be a sign that the fandom can’t exist in the open anymore?

There’s no question in my mind that I will continue to support them, both individually as well as a couple. But I’m wondering if we’ll still be able to do so “openly” (or as openly as 🐢can, mindful of protecting them) or if that will mean that bjyxszd talks won’t be “allowed” anymore.

Sorry for the bleak ask, but while staying positive I can’t help but try to brace myself and wondering so as to be more prepared, in a way.

Obviously I don't know. No one knows for sure what's going to happen. We are in uncharted waters right now. Are these changes just DD's team trying to appease solos without breaking the CP, or are they the thin end of the wedge? I'd be lying if I said I had the answer to that question.

I suspect some of that will depend on whether these changes are sufficient to calm things down. If the solos refuse to be appeased and if BXG take the place of the solos in attacking DD's team and making demands, then it's possible his team will have to take more and bigger steps to bring things into line. And since solos represent DD's traffic in the eyes of most people, those steps would be unlikely to benefit turtles.

Turtles will also need to be careful. The more extreme and the more public these conflicts become, the more difficult they'll be to ignore, and the more pressure GG and DD will both be under to 'do something' about turtles. If they're forced to choose between their careers and turtles, the choice is obvious. If they're forced to choose between their careers and the supertopic remaining open, the choice is obvious.

But I think it's highly unlikely to come to that. BJYX has existed for 5 years, and there have been conflicts and struggles in the past, including - lest we forget - 2/27. If they didn't close the supertopic then, I think it's highly unlikely that they'd do it now.

Let's remember that the supertopic is just a fan forum. It's like a big Facebook group. It's a place where fans get together and talk about GG and DD. And it's probably the most disciplined and well-managed GGDD fan group in the C-fandom. There are strict rules and the forum is monitored and moderated by volunteer admins. They do a pretty decent job of maintaining order in the fandom.

There are celebrity CP supertopics that have lasted for years, from even before BJYX came along. In most cases there is no reason to shut down a CP supertopic. They're harmless.

Like I said, it's going to come down to how C-turtles handle themselves. If they behave poorly they might force GG and DD's hand. Only time will tell.

As for what we should do if things go sideways, there's no use in trying to cross a bridge that doesn't even exist yet. It's a pointless exercise. Everything would depend on the circumstances. There's no point in speculating that far ahead about something that will likely not come to pass.

Future us will know what to do, because we'll have the information about what's going on at that time to help guide our choices.

And I fervently, passionately urge everyone to STAY CALM, and not go all doom and gloom about things. As I'm fond of saying when people close to me are catastrophizing:

We don't know what's going to happen in the future. We choose what to believe will happen. In doing so, why would we choose something that upsets us and makes our present experience painful? We should choose to believe things that give us strength and hope.

So I encourage everyone to ponder this, and to be conscientious about what you choose to tell yourself about what the future might hold. The future hasn't happened yet. All daydreaming about the future is just speculation, and we can choose to control what those speculations are.

More than anything, I think it's SO IMPORTANT to remember why we're here. We are here to love and support GG and DD. Let's try to focus on them and their projects, rather than get mired in a bunch of handwringing over things we can't control.

Can we please try to remember them, focus on them and support them? They're so precious!!

Most of all, let's not take our anger and pain out on DD and YBO. We are supporters, not antis. As I said in my previous post, it's possible that DD and YBO are working together to try to keep turtles and solos both happy. DD by giving candy, YBO by giving DD cover for the solos. Let's not assume they're the enemy. They're DD's team. We need to give them the benefit of the doubt.

One of the supertopic admins put it really well:

What was it like meeting Pedro Pascal?

Two wmds from the portal were in the presence of the Chilean and today we are going to share the experience with you! Follow the thread;

Pedro was standing with his back to me when I approached him and said "Hi Pedro"! At the same moment he just turned his neck towards me and said "Hi" with a big smile on his face!!! Angelic!

Then she said "I'm a big fan! Can I give you a hug?" to which he replied "Of course!"

The best hug in the world! Very fragrant, very delicate, safe place! I told him I loved him very much and he thanked him, all the while smiling and looking a little shy! That's when I asked for the photo.

I asked if he had received the gifts that were with his team and he said no 😞

So I asked if I could show pictures of the gifts and he said yes! At that moment Sam came over and asked if she could hug him too and he said "yes, sure!"

Sam showed the tattoo he has on his arm which was the phrase he replied to her on Twitter.

He saw "Bejo tu" tattooed and his eyes lit up! He said it was wonderful and he loved it! So Sam also asked for a photo!

Guys, he's smiling all the time! Beautiful, thoughtful, affectionate!!!

We showed this photo saying we had the same purple one to wear on Saturday! He said he loved the shirts, pointing to the Brazil shirt saying "Oh, I got this shirt!" so we told him that we had bought it for him as a gift and he said he didn't know! And thanked!

It is possible that he confused it with the shirt of the team that the entire cast got from the hotel, because it would not make sense for him to have received only one of the gifts, as they were all together in a bag! But that's ok, we forgive 🤣 Now he has 2 from Brazil and they are different!

We showed him 3 scrapbook pages! One with her nephews, one with her dad and the fan message page! He said it was AMAZING "That's so amazing!" your exact words! 💛

So he had to go! 😔

Apologized for being in a hurry, thanked and left! 😭

We saw him getting into the elevator and as the door closed he said goodbye 👋🏼 while we wished him a great day, a wonderful stay in Brazil and once again we love him very much!

A few months ago, he signed up for the try-outs of a volleyball team he loved, the Sendai Frogs, and since then he’d been working and training hard as he could. You knew he really wanted to enter the team, since high school he strived to be a professional player, and with all his efforts you knew he could do it. And it was just like that; a few weeks ago he arrived home with the wonderful notice, and you could remember it as if it was yesterday.

You were cleaning the kitchen when you heard someone open the door and enter.

“Love, is that you?” you said while whipping your hands

You heard fast footsteps approaching the kitchen, and saw your boyfriend appear in the door. He ran to you, and encircled your body in a tight hug, taking your breath away from the surprise.

“L-love I can’t breathe properly” you said, and he immediately loosened up his embrace, never letting you go. After a few moments, he let you go, and shoved a bag in your arms. You looked at it questioningly, and looked inside, and the air left your lungs again, but this time for a different reason.

Inside of the bad, you could see what looked like a jersey with the number four on it, just as he used in middle school. You took it off the bag, and looked at it. “Kyoutani” could be read, above the number four. You looked at your boyfriend, and you felt your heart stop at his smile, it was bright and wide, a smile you loved to see on his face.

“Congratulations!” you shouted, and you couldn’t help but throw yourself into his arms, and started covering his face with little kisses and at the same time you told him all you wanted to say.

“I knew” smooch “you” smooch “could do it” smooch “You’re” smooch “the best”. And you finally gave him a big kiss on the lips.

Since then, he had continued training a lot, and you noticed his tired state after practices, how the tension was slowly building up on him. So today, you would surprise him, making his favorite food, hamima chicken. You weren’t used to prepare it, despite that; you were trying your best, since you wanted to spoil him like he deserved.

Time passed by, and the food was ready. You were pretty content with how it had turned out, it seemed well, and oh god it smelled good. You started preparing the table, when you heard the front door open, and went to welcome your boyfriend.

“Kyoooooooooou!” you said, throwing yourself in his arms, hugging him tightly.

“Hello (Name)” he said, and you couldn’t help but notice how tired he sounded.

You looked at him and said grinning “I made hamima chicken”

“I noticed it smells really good in here” he said, and bent down to capture your lips in a kiss, which you happily returned.

You just stayed like that for a while, embracing each other’s presence, before going to the living room to eat.

As you both sat down on the table, you thanked for the food, and proceed to eat. As you saw the fork with the food you prepared nearing his mouth, you couldn’t help but stare and wait for him to taste it, since you hoped he would like it. He noticed you staring and asked “Why are you staring?” and as you blushed; you told him “I j-just wanted to know if you liked it”

Realization downed on him, and he ate the food. His expression remained neutral, maybe kind of impassive, but as your hopes were going down, he told you “It is fine, maybe next time we could do it a little less spicy”

You sighed, a little more tranquil now, and you proceed to eat too. But as the food touched your tongue, you felt what it seemed like a fire spreading through it. Immediately you started drinking water and started laughing, and you told him “Next time, you’ll definitely help me”.

The rest of the meal passed peacefully, in a comfortable silence. As you were about to clean the table, he stopped you, and started picking up the dishes himself “what a gentleman” you thought. And as he went to the kitchen, you went to the bathroom to prepare a bath for both of you, since you knew he wouldn’t turn it down after his long day.

When you couldn’t hear more sounds coming from the kitchen, you guess he had finished cleaning, so you called out for him. “Love, come to the bathroom” and after that, footsteps could be heard approaching.

You were in the bathtub already, making sure the water was warm, and making sure the bubbles didn’t get out of control. He entered, and saw you there “Oh, did you forget the towel?” he said.

“Nope, I was just waiting for you” you said, and when he cocked his head to the side, you asked him “Will you join me, Kentarou?”

He nodded, and started taking off his clothes. You opened your legs, wishing for him to sit in front of you, but he shook his head and positioned himself behind you. When he had sunk on the water, he pulled you close to his chest, his arms holding you in a tight embrace. “You’re spoiling me too much (Name)” he said.

“I’m not” you said, followed by a small laugh “I’m just giving you what you deserve, after all that hard work you’ve been doing” and even you couldn’t see his face, when he said “Thank you” you could visualize the small smile on his face.

You stayed in the water in silence, and after a while you decided to break it. “You know?” he hummed “I’m so proud of you” he tightened his hold on you “I’m happy to see that your efforts are paying off, to see you so happy” you sighed “I love to see you like this, doing the thing you enjoy the most” you were silent for a moment, and continued “I love you Kentarou, I love you so much, and I don’t want to see your happiness end”

You didn’t expect him to say something right now, but he surprised you with his voice “I… I don’t think I would have achieved this as fast as I did if you weren’t by my side (Name)… you’ve been an incredible support to me” you put your hands over his, waiting for him to continue “I love you too, more than I could ever say”.
