Fun Facts about Fireflies and Fluorescence under the cut :)
FUN ANIMAL FACT: Fireflies glow due to a chemical reaction between the molecule Luciferin and the enzyme Luciferase (and quite a few other molecules including ATP and oxygen). While fireflies use their bioluminescence for mating reasons, the reaction can be used in a test named the -ATP fluorescence assay- to detect bacteria in various bodily samples and monitor levels of photosynthesis in crop fields (although it was originally developed to potentially detect living cells on Mars)

Would you like to have venom glands? If yes, what would be your preferred location and effect? Is it better if ~stinging/secreting is an entirely volitional thing or a somatic reaction to strong emotions?
For sure I want venom!
I'm like a subset of hairs that are normally covered by the rest of my fur but raise when I'm agitated are mildly irritating like nettles or tarantulas.
Retractable claws that get coated in venom when they are pulled back. I'm imagining apocrine glands in the base of the claws. So I could leave my claws out and wash my hands before use if I wanted to avoid hurting someone extra. I'd like this to be more painful than the hairs, closer to a honey bee.
Venomous bite too of course. Specialized salivary glands exiting through hollow fangs like a snake. Ideally I could voluntarily eject it but also would occasionally find myself in such a venom-arousing scenarios that it leaks out on it's own. Effect would be temporary numbing and paralyzing. If my mouth ever gets cut I'd have to express my fangs periodically or the venom leakage would affect me too.
Thanks for the question; I had a lot of fun thinking about this.

Transphobes be so quick to say, "it's in your DNA!" Well, babe, I checked, and the only things in my DNA are deoxyribose, phosphate groups, purines, and pyrimidines, soooooo

reducing RNR using thioredoxin sounds like a good idea until you realize you now need to reduce your FADH2 that reduced the thioredoxin which sounds like a good idea until you have to reduce your NADP+ that reduced the FAD which sounds like a good idea until

Ribosomes, mRNA and tRNA watching the protein they have lovingly and carefully synthetized 5 seconds ago get wrecked by a rogue oxygen ion and then immediately carried away to a proteosome to be fucking shredded to bits.
