Note
i'm super interesting in more of your haikyuu x pjo au, especially surrounding those lesser known/talked about characters like kinoshita and narita.
i don’t have a ton of people figured out yet but i’m with you on the minor characters. here are a few:
kiryuu has some minor form of pyrokinesis. he's not nearly on the same level as leo, but his resting body temperature is fever-hot and when he gets agitated enough the room tends to get hotter and stuffier. when he was little he grabbed a hot poker (he was four, it was his first camping trip, and it was pretty) and came out of it almost completely fine--the skin was a little red and stung a bit for about a day, but that was it. if his friends needle him enough, they can get him to juggle hot coals. bokuto and goshiki think it's one of the coolest things in the world.
bishin's an iris kid and gets along really well with the pegasi. asahi's caught him gossiping with them twice.
kinoshita's apollo-skills lie more in healing, but he's become a damn good archer over the years. it took a lot of practice and he used to sneak out of bed to try to get some time in, which got him three separate run-ins with the cleaning harpies over the years. his arrows come back to him if they're intact.
before he got to camp, futakuchi really only used charmspeak for three things: occasional petty theft, getting people to tell him things when he was bored, and magic-fueled games of "stop hitting yourself." all three pissed people off, but he figured out early on with the first one that he was less likely to get caught if he got someone else to get things for him. it didn't eliminate getting caught entirely, though, and it turns out you can only play dumb so many times to get out of a situation. the second was mostly a boredom killer and was the least risky because the person always forgot they said anything, but it tended to get either repetitive and dull or uncomfortably intense very quickly.
it took tendou a week and a half to get claimed by tyche, and in that time he managed to strike up an odd friendship with michimiya, who thinks he's a riot. they have a partnership where they and their "connections" get ahold of mostly chips, candy, and those dubious boxed pastries in exchange for either money (mortal is preferred, but they're not going to turn down drachmas) or favors, which just means that they meet up and Plot and relay it to nishinoya and terushima, who in turn tell their respective sisters, who can then hook them up. occasionally they'll take special orders, but that's pretty uncommon, takes longer, and costs extra. sure, the food at camp half-blood is good, but you're a teenager and you gotta have some junk food now and again.
soon after aone was claimed, sasaya gave him a celestial bronze puzzle box that no one had been able to solve yet and was suitably impressed when aone not only managed to get it in four days flat but also dismantled it. then he sat down with him and had aone walk him through how he did it so they could put it back together as a team. they figured out how to rig it to explode, so now it's a sabotage weapon for chariot races.

mujinazaka hcs <333
i got brainrot after being called out on unnan so. here we fucking go i guess!!
mujinazaka is nice bc they're a powerhouse team from a high school that is also probably loaded but unlike shiratorizawa (read: they're all feminists!) they're full of meme humor and good vibes . . . god bless kuzuri michiko
okay i'm kidding
(mostly)
((but between a kuzuri v. washijo we all know who would win))
usuri deals psychological damage any single time he opens his fucking mouth. nobody has figured out a way to counter it and nobody has yet to survive
the second-years have a betting pool about the upperclassmen that goes like this: - hondo thinks unnan and mami are dating but kiryuu doesn't know and is betting on when kiryuu finally realizes - bishin thinks that kiryuu and ezo know that unnan and mami are dating and is betting on when one of them lets it slip to the second-years - usuri insists that unnan and mami haven't realized their feelings at all and are subconsciously and aggressively pining through their competitive streak and that they'll both finally realize in the middle of a heated argument about whether mami isn't really sure if unnan genuinely dislikes him or not sometimes and unnan will confess what he truly thinks of mami and then they'll kiss and make up
spoiler alert: usuri wins
hondo looks like a gentleman honestly i bet he's the one who keeps usuri in check while the upperclassmen aren't around. bishin, on the other hand, would pay usuri to set someone on fire
if kuzuri asked them to commit a crime they'd do it
when unnan and mami started dating they have no fucking idea how to navigate it at first bc all they've done was fight for three years so it's like watching a real-life drama and the others find it HILARIOUS
one time unnan took hold of mami's hand and mami screeched and threw unnan's hand off because he got shy and embarrassed and unnan looked so offended that mami thought he was going break up with him right then and there
Ezo: "What? What do you mean you've never texted him 'good night' or 'good morning' before? What do you MEAN you've never texted him a regular 'hello'?" Unnan, who has only ever spammed Mami with a gif of a dead-eyed black cat flipping him off and the phrase 'SHUT THE FUCK UP' in neon green: "We're . . . taking it slow"
i'm so sorry to put this pressure on him but. ezo is the only stable third-year
whenever the second-years have questions they always go to ezo first, and ezo wants to be Responsible and a Good Role Model so he always tries to help them even if he has no fucking clue what they're talking about
bishin asks ezo if they can sneak a rabbit they found into the gym storage closet and keep it there and feed it and take care of it and ezo is so TORN
anyways the rabbit is named maron and they swear to keep it a secret from kuzuri . . . which lasts approximately for half a practice bc maron breaks out of the closet and ezo has to do the explaining while the second-years chase it around the gym
it's okay because kuzuri is the one who takes the rabbit home and keeps it and sometimes she brings it to practice to visit the guys <333

Fic: Ice-Cream, Graduating, and, Technically, Some Dirty Dancing (Haikyuu)
Warning: manga spoilers
Usuri set the Gotta Have It size of Cold Stone ice-cream on the table. And then, no matter how uncomfortable the metal table felt, he set his forehead on the rim.
“It’s all my fault…,” he muttered aloud.
“Is it now?”
Michiru’s neck snapped up so fast he got whiplash, beholding the boy suddenly sitting at his table.
