Since I am posting about celebrity drama. Let's do some critical thinking here. I know a lot of people on this website aren't great at it, but let's try.
Guz Khan has been a vocal supporter of Palestine for many many years. He was vocal in his support of Palestine long before he was hired onto Our Flag Means Death. Taika Waititi was brought onboard as an executive producer on Our Flag Means Death before any of the casting had occurred, which means Waititi could have known about Khan's politics and sabotaged his casting, but he did not do that and Khan got the role. Ivan was the character on the crew with the least amount of lines in season 1 and he was on Blackbeard's crew, not Stede's. In season 2 they effectively replaced him with Archie played by Madeleine Sami, who is a New Zealand actor who doesn't have the international TV recognition that Guz Khan has. With all this data, which do we think is more likely:
A) Waititi personally fired Khan because he's a Zionist leveraging his power
B) when OFMD got it's budget cut they had to make some choices about which high payed actors in minor roles they wanted to keep, so they booked Bremner for 4 eps, Faxon for 3 eps, and did not ask Khan back, found ways to write all three of them off, and then brought on Sami for a cheaper contract than they would have gotten from Khan in order to maintain a believably sized pirate crew and keep the ensemble comedy aspects so many people loved from the first season
Like yes Taika Waititi signed a letter to Biden calling for release Israeli hostages from Hamas, the wording of which blamed Hamas for all the violence, and he's liked Gal Gadot's pro Israel insta posts but can we please not make up conspiracies about it. It's starting to sound a hair antisemitic, especially considering that no one is speaking on Con O'Neill (who, unlike Waititi, is not Jewish) also signaling that he's a zionist. he posted pro Israel stuff on his Twitter multiple times just while the Twitter algorithm was showing me his tweets, (from April 2022 until he deactivated for tweeting about a Columbians doing coke later that year).

I find it amusing that Anons are constantly curious about Tony. Well... Here's what I think, Anons... Check out these articles in People about these husbands, successful businessmen, who support their wives...
Oops... 😜🤦🏻‍♀️
When an actress, like Caitríona, doesn't have a solid, real story to sell, this is what happens. Tell me Anon, besides this fandom, who would be interested to know about Caitríona Balfe's husband?
So... If Tony doesn't like to expose himself, why would "they" buy an article in People? Why does Caitríona take her husband as an accessory to red carpets/events? Caitríona only "remembers" Tony's presence if there is a camera on them. I think it's obvious that C and her PR team want to sell this image, of Tony and their relationship (Caitríona and Tony). But, in the end, each group in this fandom will only see what they want out of it.
And honestly, when Caitríona blames shippers for saying things about her husband and invading their personal life, she's a hypocrite... She/They found a way to provoke rivalry in this fandom and get everyone trapped in this shit show. Their motives? I think some... Hide the truth, keep people talking about them (mostly during promos), egomaniacs... 🤪😂
You know, Anons... Caitríona, Tony, PRs, Sam and others don't care, obviously. It's what they want. And we're all here... Talking about it all, theorizing... Shippers, Antis, Onlys, etc, many arguing with each other, and verbally attacking each other... (Who said discord doesn't unite people? 😜😂)... While Caitríona, Tony and Sam are laughing about it and living their real lives 🤡

Hey y'all, expecting Jewish folks to speak out against Israeli occupation has the same energy as expecting Arab folks to condemn 9/11. Let me give you some examples of when it is and isn't appropriate:
Antony Blinken: US Secretary of state. Has Jewish ancestors. He is one of the main people in our government in charge of policy. Not only should he be asked about the conflict he is a person who can make change and has power. He is also expected to have a competent knowledge of the situation, history, and current data. He should be questioned and criticized. However, there should not be the underlying assumption of Zionism due to his heritage. He has actually been more supportive of Human rights in Gaza than Biden has.
Gal Gadot: Gal Gadot served in the IDF and currently lives in Israel. She has posted multiple times in support of Israeli occupation. Her Instagram is currently chock full of pro-Israel posts. It is completely fair to question her stance on the Palestinian lives lost because she is actively discussing this conflict. Again, though, her status as Jewish should not mean that she is evil or inhuman. She should be evaluated on her statements not her heritage.
Natalie Portman: Made the movie Freezone about the issues between Israel and Palestine in a way that was very humanizing to both groups. She has an Israeli father and has spoken to the UN about the need for a peaceful solution. She supported Israel after the October 7 attacks but has been noticably silent since them. It is appropriate to question this silence and even criticize it, but it's not fair to paint her as a zionist who has never cared for Palestinians when she has been critical of Israel in the past.
Sarah J Maas: Jewish. Visited Israel once. Literally has not spoken about her experience in years. Has never made any comments about the occupation or Israeli policy. To be honest, probably doesn't know anything about it. There's absolutely no reason why anyone should go to her for any political opinion she is deeply unqualified to make any kind of statement. You shouldn't be asking her for one.
Taylor Swift: Not Jewish. Knows nothing about this. Is just rich and famous. We have no reason to believe she has any understanding of this conflict. Not only should she not be asked for a statement, it would be deeply irresponsible for her to give one as she is neither a stakeholder in the area nor an expert in its history.
Now if you're full of rage because you read this and you think you're somehow saving Palestinian lives by commenting on all of Taylor Swift's Instagram posts, let me give you another ego hit. I'm Egyptian. I am not a direct stakeholder, but obviously, Egypt has a long history with this conflict and currently borders Gaza. Not only that, the US government essentially provides money to Egyptian dictators that they use to imprison public critics in exchange for Israeli security. My family members in Egypt run the risk of imprisonment if they speak ill of the government and the US government facilitates this in order to protect Israel's apartheid state. So I do not make this post because I believe Israel to be good. I think that when we resort to antisemitism, we delegitimize our cause.
I understand that you are angry. I understand that it feels like Israel gets away with so much. That doesn't mean antisemitism is okay. Racism is still bad when it's in service of what you think is a just cause. Dehumanization is still bad when it's being done against people who dehumanize others. It is easy to blame random people you know who actually have zero power here. It is hard to accept the people who have the most power (Joe Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu) are unreachable because of their own horrible convictions. It is hard to accept we (Americans) have all accepted and contributed to a system in which the majority of us are powerless. It is hard to accept your own powerlessness. But that is what you must do.
You cannot do anything but bear witness.

I like how the character Wonder Woman is a Embodiment of Feminism and she was created by A MAN!!!! Yet people said she presents some bigoted ideas
It's also interesting how she's inspired by Greek mythology and had heavy ties to Greek Gods, her mom was a daughter of Ares and I think the first time I saw her,she was given life by Zeus via his lightning bolt, hence he's technically her dad typical Zeus
I think she's a great character, it's just that many people don't really GET her character and ended up making her a man-hating sexist,a man-izer, basically a male version of womanizer, it's a huge misinterpretation
I'm sure you understand how misinterpretations feel, many mythologies were botched just for the sake of someone's ego and interests anyway
I shared the misinterpretation with my teacher and he said Zack Snyder's version is the best one yet,cuz in that iteration, she doesn't hate men or thinks men are pigs etc,no, she's simply interested with the ideas of men and she's totally fine with them, which makes sense
I mean the woman was raised by only Women and only lived around till she's an adult,so ofc she's interested or curious. I don't think the Amazons generally hate men, they're just aware of how terrible some men are cuz that their nature
Also my first movie of Wonder Woman where I first knew her, featured her love interest, the guy who got stranded on Paradise Island, where the Amazons reside and when he saw a bunch of Amazonian ladies bathing, I think he looked seduced and tidied himself to "look nice for the ladies", I remember he very clearly he didn't seem embarrassed when he saw a bunch of women bathing outdoors in a pretty discrete place
Okay I don't really blame him,the place was called Paradise Island becuz so many beauties live there, it's literally paradise on Earth, it's also my bisexual's ass dream world
No hate for him btw, he's cool ig. Also I think he pretty much explained why Paradise Island is a no-man area. Can't blame the ladies for not liking guys there, they have their reasons I won't comment
The Amazons even spared that guy for literally trespassing and if they really did hate men, they wouldn't let him go back to the mainland alive. One of the central points of that movie was Wonder Woman bringing him back home and therefore she got a chance of learning about the outside world
I'm gonna search for that movie one day
very interesting and valid points, Anon.
as a child, i never cared much for Wonder Woman because she always wore that skimpy skirt barely covering her ass and to me, a little girl, i just thought that was gross.
but now, as an older girl, i see Wonder Woman as hugely successful, hard-working, kind, strong both mentally and physically, and she still dresses up so gorgeous. i have huge respect for her now because she works hard to get it both ways; so now i really have no problems at all with Wonder Woman or her pretty, but short, clothes. i think she really is kinda wonderful tbh,, one of the better heroes.
tbh i haven’t seen the movie you discussed— i have only ever seen Gal Gadot’s WW, and i’ve seen the old comics i used to read as a kid. i do like the new WW. i hope you are able to find the film and watch it again!!

Loki season 2 review (without spoilers) (I'm on episode 4)
Lack of Lokius is a sin.
New characters but I don't remember anything about them because lack of background story.
The writing kind of predictable. Lots of pauses to add some kind "suspense" to a very mediocre line.
The comedic relief is kind of forced and awkward and not running as smooth as season 1.
Creating a hype over what Mobius's past in every single episode and I will be disappointed if he would get a wife and a kid.
Silvie is way more annoying than season 1, yes, apparently that's possible. Her girl boss trope is failing so much that I'm rooting for the "villain" girl boss more.
Hyping that man as a skilled soldier but I don't even remember him in season 1 and he barely do anything in this one to show that he actually is strong.
(KIND OF SPOILERS???????????????) Ms minute acting all serious and mysterious only to be the biggest, cringiest plot hole of the time.
Too many "I hate you too but we have to do this together" dialogue, I count like two in every episode.
This one is a personal problem I have with sci-fi genre: too much scientific bullshit of made up device names.
Silvie, blames everyone but her, as always.
Loki was strong and got to showcase his skills but by he still freezes a lot, no development of his strength whatsoever. And yes, I'm aware he can't use his power in TVA. I'm talking about when he's out there. Like seeing your MC being dumb down to make the plot make sense.
Silvie's haircut. Again, girl boss trope where the girl is getting an ugly haircut just because she doesn't want to appeal to the male gaze. My wlw part of bisexuality was dried. The hetero part wasn't really that excited either.
The nerd was too stereotypical it hurts. Still got me though, I love him, but it seems like the writer kind of want him to be shipped with EVERYONE.
Overall Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson carries. Jonathan's acting was too theatrical and cringe. I don't even want to find the name of Silvie's actress, she's in the same level as Gal Gadot.

can you please address this? i love your content but this something serious and want to here your side too
Sure. This all stemmed from me reblogging a gifset of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman years ago and some anonymous person sending me an ask criticizing me for supporting Israel by doing that or something, which is a beyond absurd reason for all of this to have started, but I made the mistake of engaging with it.
So, to give a short rundown of how I feel about things, I do not support the government of Israel, I do not think Israel should have been created in the first place, but I recognize that it was created and that the people there, who are mostly descendants of literal Holocaust refugees, are not uniformly and universally responsible for the crimes that have been carried out by the state of Israel.
It would be great if we could go back to post-WWII and get a takeback and undo all of the horrific shit that has been done, but we can't, and I don't think that blaming the people of Israel for being born where they were born is a reasonable solution to this problem. We can absolutely take the state of Israel to task now for the oppression and brutality that they continue to engage in, but I think that treating normal Israeli people as if they are inherently bad by virtue of existing where they exist is kind of a disturbing line of thought to go down.
Similarly, a lot of anti-Israel sentiment has personally made me uncomfortable not just because it seems to be misplaced, but at least in my personal experience (which I obviously cannot say applies broadly to the entire world), a lot of the anti-Israel sentiment that I have encountered has served as a politically acceptable mask for outright antisemetism.
Further than that, the casualness with which people paint all Israeli people and oftentimes all Jewish people as criminals because of the actions of the state of Israel makes me very uncomfortable. As someone who has quite a few Jewish friends, I can say that again, at least in my experience, the amount of harassment that they have encountered because they are Jewish and because Israel exists makes me really unsettled, which is one of the reasons that I as a non-Jewish person feel a need to distinguish between the actions of a government versus the actions of the people that may be affected by it. I mean, I definitely don't want to be condemned for all of the horrific shit that the American government has done that I actively disagree with, and I am further baffled by the fact that American Jewish people are so often pressured and harassed into condemning Israel, a country that they likely have nothing to do with and have never even been to, in what seems like an attempt to force them to prove that they are one of the "good ones."
With all of that said, I was having a discussion off the cuff about Gal Gadot of all fucking things and maybe didn't express myself as clearly as I should have, but I didn't realize that people would be screenshotting what I was saying and posting it on Twitter years later. To be honest I know fuck all about Gal Gadot and was mostly reacting to the implication that she deserves criticism solely for the fact that she is from Israel and was conscripted into the IDF like every other Israeli citizen, which I thought was absurd then and think is absurd now. If she has said anything problematic beyond that I don't support it, but I'm not a fan of hers or knowledgeable about her as a person, and I don't think anyone deserves to be dragged by virtue of their place of birth or government required service.
Ultimately I said what I said and if someone has a problem with it then they are 100% in the right to call me out for it, I don't want to hold anyone to a standard that I wouldn't hold myself to and I think it is fair to criticize anyone for saying what they said. But I wouldn't say the exact same things in the exact same way now, and I would have been more thoughtful about the entire situation had I known that it was going to be something repeatedly brought up years after the fact.
If whatever I said before or whatever I'm saying now makes you not want to support me or my content anymore that is 100% fine, going against your personal beliefs about real-world and serious topics just because someone makes some content about a TV show or book you like is not worth it, and if anyone does not want to support me for any reason ever, that's fine. Everyone has parameters for what they are okay with and not okay with, and if I have ever done anything that someone else is not okay with, then I am not here to argue with it or justify myself. I can only express my feelings and opinions as they are now, and I can't say that they won't change in the future because I don't ever want to stop learning or growing.
And I'm sorry for this absurdly long explanation, but it is a serious topic that I get repeated questions about and I understand that as my social media profile grows I will probably get more questions and criticism about it, so I would like to have one big reference post to explain exactly how I feel and where I'm coming from.

Why do some people hate rachel zegler
This started since the WSS era because everyone thought that she wasn't latina enough to play María (her mom is part colombian and her dad is from Poland), then with Shazam when during the premier when someone wanted to take a photo with her and she politely said no because she was kinda late for something of the event and that person said that she was racist and xenophobic which caused all of China to turno against her and leaving horrible things in her insta comments
When SW, it was because everyone said that she wasn't white enough to play her and also that she was latina, and during the D23 last year she said that she only watched the movie once as a child because it was scary to her, and also the ride called Scary Adventure, and saying that SW wasn't going to be to focused on love which Gal Gadot also said people started to hate her saying that she hated the character blaming her for the changes on the script and that
Honestly, people didn't give a fuck about snow white until rachel was casted, they don't love the character, people like to hate on young women
They are saying that rachel is black listed on Hollywood and that, but she has a Golden Globe for a Spielberg movie, a DC movie, a THG movie, a Disney movie, a A24 movie, is ambassador for Dior
My girl is succeeding

No, Rajwa doesn't look like Gal Gadot.. but she and her have one similarity that's both have no mercy toward Palestinians 😠
No! Not expressing her feelings doesn't mean she has no mercy towards Palestinians. She's no longer free to express her self. That's why we must blame first and foremost her PR team!

I personally don't think we need to rate the support for Palestine by celebrities and I don't care much as long as they don't use their platform to spread misinformation, but there's nothing wrong with highlighting that a production is heavy on the zionist side.
It has happened with The Marvels and Disney; people saying not to watch Stranger Things final season because of Noah Schnapp and Brett whatever-his-name; how The Last of Us was written by a zionist who got inspiration from the IDF for the game; the next Snow White movie because Gal Gadot plays the witch... Some girlies should be grateful that FT falls off the radar so people don't call them out, but I'm sure they in particular know that at least the lead executive producer is a zionist because the same day he was posting a picture with Jonny at that human rights event (where activists were already calling for a ceasefire when Biden spoke), the previous stories were all about Israel. I know because I saw them, why even ignore it? I don't blame them for supporting Jonny tbh, but acting dumb about it is weird to me.
They’re very selective about who to call out! I’ve seen many JB girlies call for a boycott of disney movies, Starbucks and marvel but when it came to them boycotting Fellow Travellers it’s been crickets. They’re even screaming crying and throwing up about the show getting awards
Let’s not even talk about their long ass posts justifying his trip to Israel 🤡🎪

Gal Gadot, Kylie Jenner, Mark Ruffalo: Israel-Palestine war leaves celebrities divided
Several Hollywood stars, athletes and singers face a backlash for supporting Israel, while others are praised for their nuanced take on the conflict

Published date: 9 October 2023 10:44 BST|Last update: 1 day 9 hours ago
Celebrities including Hollywood A-listers, influencers, and pop stars have been giving their opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after fighters from the besieged Gaza Strip shocked Israel with their unprecedented land, air and sea assault on Saturday.
Influencer and fashion mogul Kylie Jenner found herself at the centre of a social media storm when she shared a now-deleted post expressing support for Israel.
The Instagram post featured the Israeli flag alongside the message: "Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel."
Jenner's stance drew widespread criticism.
Many questioned her understanding of Israel's 75-year occupation of the Palestinian territories.
One social media user wrote: "Kylie Jenner wouldn't know where the Middle East is on a map but is letting her 400 million Instagram followers know she stands with Israel."

Israeli actress and star of Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, who has previously shown support for the Israeli army, was also criticised for her response to the latest bout of violence.
"I stand with Israel you should too," Gadot posted on Instagram.
"The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening," she said. "My heart is aching. Praying for all of those in pain."
Palestine: 10 celebrities who have voiced their solidarity

Gadot's comment section has since been flooded with users writing "Free Palestine" and messages featuring the Palestinian flag emoji.
Comedian Sarah Silverman expressed her concern for her sister, nieces and nephews, who have been protesting against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's controversial judicial reform plans for months.
"Fight for a two state solution. Israelis are Jews and Arabs and all colours," she said.
Silverman also acknowledged the nuanced complexity of the conflict before denouncing Hamas' mission statement.
Mark Ruffalo, who has played the Hulk in several Marvel blockbuster films including The Avengers franchise, was also criticised for blaming both sides for the latest escalation.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the usually pro-Palestine actor shared a message from journalist and author Nathan Thrall, which said: "It is horrific to see innocent civilians killed and held hostage, and there is no justification for it.
"We pray for their safety, as we pray for the safety of the innocent people of Gaza who are being bombarded and besieged."
Mark Ruffalo consistently uses his platform to speak out on events in Israel-Palestine (AFP)
Professional boxer and model Younes Bendjima criticised the idea of blaming both sides for the fighting, writing: "I'd love to but I can't... there's only one side."
He went on to highlight the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands, restrictions on movement, the discriminatory treatment of Palestinians at checkpoints, and the presence of Israeli snipers in the occupied territories.
Bendjima also emphasised the disparity in international support, noting that Palestinians don't enjoy the backing of the United States.
He also drew attention to the constant presence of Israeli warplanes in the region, which fly over the Palestinian territories making, he said, "kids wet their beds in fear".
Former New Zealand rugby international player Sonny Bill Williams posted: "Praying for Gaza!" accompanied with a Palestinian flag.
Meanwhile, US Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad shared a quote from Malcolm X which read: "If you are not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing."
Ibtihaj Muhammad speaks onstage at The National Center for Civil and Human Rights in August 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia (AFP)
However, Arsenal and Ukrainian full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko found himself mired in controversy when he reposted an image from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs featuring the Star of David.
Alongside the image, his story read: 'I stand with Israel.'
But after he was met with a fierce backlash from his own fans, Zinchenko removed the comments and made his account private.
'When you hurt children, your cause is doomed'
Singers also weighed in with mixed reactions to the conflict.
Swedish singer Zara Larsson drew attention to what she perceived as a double standard in international reactions to conflicts, posting on her story: "Oh so it's stand with Ukraine when Russia invades but not Palesti-."
Larsson's remarks shed light on the wider issue of the West's inconsistent response to various conflicts.
The fashion influencers Simi & Haze Khadra shared a similar sentiment, reposting a series of slides on their social media platform, highlighting human rights violations endured by Palestinians.
They noted that "absolute Zionist thinking collapses conversation and villainizes empathy for a Palestinian population that has extensively experienced torture, kidnapping, murder and other oppressive colonialist tactics at the hands of an apartheid state for decades."
However, singer Boy George expressed support for Israel, writing: "When you hurt women, children, and the elderly, your cause is doomed. I stand with Israel."
His remarks were met with criticism by several social media users who responded with lists of the women, children, and elderly killed by Israeli forces in recent months and years.

60 - Top 5 Hottest Celebrities
Be aware this is coming from someone hella ace, so my answers are heavily influenced by a few things. Namely, who the people around me like, my limited understanding of conventual hotness, if I like more than one character they've played, and if they just seem like a good person. In think order versus any particular order.
1- David Tennet. I blame my love of the 10th doctor, that photo set of him thinking he lost his wife, and his continued range of characters.
2 - Chris Evans. Will admit this is a default answer inspired by a panic response when asked who I thought the hottest Avenger was and the people on either side of me had already claimed other people. Cue my family getting me many Captain American things over the years and now it honestly just feels like committing to a bit.
3 - Janelle Monae. Been low-key fascinated with her ever since I knew about Metropolis and have just loved pretty much everything she's done since. I should read her book. I bought it a year ago.
4 - Brandon Frasier. But like, younger him. The Mummy and George of the Jungle were formative. Many of my 'default' answers tend to default to people family has described as baby face and DiCaprio was totally hotter in Titantic than how he looks now. Chris Pine, I'd argue, has transcended age but I wouldn't put him on his list.
5 - Gal Gadot. Will admit this is also a type? Women who can kick ass but aren't super built. Other potential trade-ins. Tessa Tompson. Michelle Rodriguez. That lady knight in that Tumblr image set. You know the one.
Surprise number 6! Regé-Jean Page. Mainly because I saw the D&D movie, went huh, I can see why the hosts of one of my podcasts love him, and then saw that mini interview where he's actually accepting of weird fandom behavior. Seems like a good guy with a pretty face.
Ask me a question!

I know I’m probably not the first person to point this out, but I still think it’s hilarious that the reason Steve got roped into this whole mess is because he went to Jonathan’s house to apologize for acting like an ass, nearly ended up getting killed by a monster, and later found out about the government conspiracy and the Upside-Down.

Frankly, I am not at all shocked at Joss Whedon's response. When the allegations came out against him, I expected one of two things to happen: Either he was going to stay silent and hope this all went away, or he was going to double-down on his behavior. Given the responses I've seen to his interview, he would have been better off keeping his mouth shut. That man is continuing to dig his own grave.
What disgusts me isn't just that he refuses to take responsibility for how hurtful he's been. It's how condescending and dismissive he is in that interview. It's how he takes passive-aggressive digs at the people who've spoken out against him. Claiming that he cut Cyborg's scenes in Justice League because Ray Fisher was a bad actor. Saying that Gal Gadot had misunderstood him because "English is not her first language." Blaming Zac Snyder for "tricking" Ray Fisher into believing that Whedon was racist against him. Claiming he's "one of the nicer showrunners that's ever been."
This is pretty common for bullies and abusive people: They are horrible and nasty towards others, and when they are called out for it, they either deflect responsibility, try to make it out like it's the other person's fault, or try to play the victim. Whedon had over a year since Ray Fisher's accusations to come up with a response, and this what he chose to say. That is so telling about the kind of person he is.
I have zero sympathy for Whedon. He has destroyed any goodwill at this point, and it is blatantly clear he does not practice what he preaches in regards to feminism. Here's to hoping he fades into obscurity.

Little Homeworld Life chapter 7: Wet and Wild (originally posted on September 26, 2022)
AN: Welcome back everyone. Though fall may have arrived, that doesn't mean we can't just not squeeze in some last-minute summer vibes with this chapter. As I stated in the author's notes for Why So Blue, Lapis happens to be my top Gem waifu in addition to my favorite character from the show. And as I implied in the author's notes for the previous chapter, I have a thing for lifeguard girls. I mean, can you blame me? Those red one pieces, man! But enough about my fantasies, I'm sure you're already weirded out enough, let's get this chapter rolling before I get anymore thirstier.

It was a warm day at the Little Homeworld swimming pool, and Lapis was already working hard. She was working on hanging up a colorful sign saying "NEW LIFEGUARDS WANTED" on it in blue. "Hopefully, we can get some new employees around here." Lapis said to herself as she finished hanging the sign. "We've been a little short-staffed lately."
"Are you sure about that?" Aquamarine asked as she fluttered down and perched on a fence post. "I mean, what's the point of this place having a pool anyways when we can all just sink to the bottom of the water with no ill effects? Besides, it was only ever staffed with you and the other Lapides, to begin with, so why are you only now concerning yourself with more employees?"
"Well, one, we came up with the idea because some of us wanted to have fun." Lapis responded. "Something I'm sure you never heard of because your idea of fun is at others' expense. And second, there's only so much three Lapises can do, so maybe we could use a few extra hands around here."
"Hmph, I'd like to see you try." Aquamarine scoffed arrogantly as she flew away, no doubt to convene with Black Rutile on whatever she had planned. Lapis just rolled her eyes and turned to see Aquamarine's former ally Laz walk up beside her with extra uniform swimsuits for the new recruits.
"Aquamarine giving you trouble again?" Laz asked her old friend with a sneer.
"I swear, how did you tolerate her back when you two were minions of Black Rutile?" Lapis responded to her fellow terraformer.
"I didn't tolerate anyone; I wasn't even in with Black Rutile's endgame to begin with." Laz replied. "Sure, I was pissed at Steven for taking you away from me, but all I wanted was getting my friends back, that was all."
"Well, you still got what you wanted, at least." Lapis stated with a shrug as Zuli touched down beside her. "Hey Zu, found any willing participants?"
"Oh yeah, I think I got five to start with, a full house!" Zuli exclaimed excitedly. "So many Gems want to work with us!"
"Geez, that many?" Laz wondered. "We might as well become the cast of a reboot of Coast Patrol."
"Wasn't there already one a few years ago with that one wrestler guy who's basically everywhere?" Lapis asked. "What did they call him again? The Stone? The Boulder?"
"Eh, who cares?" Zuli declared nonchalantly. "Let's just get changed and get our recruits situated."
--
Within a few minutes, the recruits that Zuli had found were gathered at the pool and dressed in matching red bathing suits, all standing in a line before the three Lapis Lazulis.
"Good day, troops." Laz greeted the five applicants like a drill sergeant. "You may be wondering why we've gathered you all here on this fine day."
"If it's to model these suits, then I make this look good." Desert Glass purred and conjured herself a mirror out of sand to admire her figure in the uniform. "Still got it, Glassy."
"Who wanted this?" Emerald sourly complained. "I mean, who wanted us to strut around barely-clad in a facility that we realistically won't need?"
"Ooh, I love this idea already!" Orange Spodumene excitedly cheered. "I hope I get picked; then I can be near the water all the time!"
"I see you're excited." Pyrope smirked at the Spodumene. "And how about you, Topaz?"
"As much as I'd like to help people, I also have to agree with Emerald on this." Topaz said. "I mean, Gems don't really need to swim. We can just sink to the bottom with no ill effects."
"No need to worry, Topaz. We just need a few extra hands around here." Zuli said to Topaz before turning back to Laz. "Now, as you were saying?"
"Thank you, Zuli." Laz responded before turning back to the five recruits. "As I was saying, we have gathered you today because our community pool needs some extra staff. Though some might think we won't need any because we don't even need to swim, we choose to remain resolute in our decisions out of a desire to do good for our community. Are any of you willing to do the same for us and benefit Little Homeworld at large?"
"I am." Topaz answered brightly. "So, where do we start?"
"We shall start with a few basic exercises." Lapis stated while gesturing to the pool. "Make it all the way to the end of the pool and back without walking across the bottom. Got it?"
"Ooh, this should be fun!" Orange Spodumene said as she readily dove in and began expertly swimming across the water. "Come on in, girls, the water's great!"
"Fine, if you insist." Emerald said as she reluctantly walked over to the ladder and slowly climbed into the pool water now surrounding her. "Hey, this isn't too bad!" she exclaimed while trying to swim towards the other side of the water, finding herself enjoying the exercise for a bit until her natural biology began winning against her. "No, no, no, no, no!"
"Well, that's one down for the count." Laz declared as Emerald struggled to keep herself afloat. "And Orange Spodumene is still in the lead!"
"Probably because her whole thing is going underwater." Zuli analyzed while watching the former deep-sea explorer doing some water ballet in the pool. "Let's see how the others are doing."
"Why are you barely doing anything?!" Pyrope complained to Desert Glass, who continued showing off in her swimsuit while reclining on an airbed made of sand.
"Just showing off my immaculate beauty to all the others." Desert Glass smirked seductively. "Plus, I don't want to sink to the bottom and be trapped in the crushing darkness for all eternity."
"You're only saying that because you're living the high life on your little throne." Pyrope scoffed. "Let me guess, do you want some fancy food to complete the look?"
"Come on Pyrope, calm down and get swimming." Topaz tried to calm Pyrope down as she tried swimming as well and fighting against gravity while the Lapises watched.
"So, what do you think?" Zuli asked her co-lifeguards. "Pretty great roster I selected, huh?"
"You're right about that." Laz nodded appreciatively. "They could use a little work, though, like Glass should do a lot less slacking off and looking hot, and Emerald should complain less too."
"But at least Orange Spodumene is excited." Zuli added. "Plus, I think I can see Pyrope and Topaz enjoying themselves too." She then pointed towards the two Gems, who were trying their best to stay afloat compared to the rest.
"Hey, I think I'm getting it now!" Topaz cheered while slowly bobbing up and down. "Pyrope, you gotta check me out!"
"I'm trying Topaz," Pyrope called. "I just need to keep myself from sinking!" As Pyrope finished, she almost became submerged before fluttering her way back up with her fans. "Blasted fans, they can only be so thin!"
"Well, we got swimming out of the way now." Lapis declared with a clap of her hands. "Now, let's move on to more lessons."
--
"Next, let's move onto basic safety precautions." Zuli stated once the recruits were done swimming. "First off, no running so fast that you either slip and fall or knock others over and get them hurt. Can't be too careful!"
"Oh sure, can't be too careful when we're basically invulnerable!" Emerald sarcastically proclaimed. "Here, allow me to demonstrate your folly!" She then did exactly that by running around the pool at top speeds, laughing all the way. "See? Nothing wrong here!" Unfortunately, Emerald was quickly proven wrong when she accidentally bumped into Topaz and splashed into the water next to her before sinking straight to the bottom. "Oh, come on!"
"See? We warned you!" Zuli called out as Emerald climbed back out and shook out her hair. "If any of you pull off what Emerald just did, you'll be sorry!"
"We understand." The other recruits obediently chorused.
"Anything else we need to know?" Pyrope wondered. "Like, I don't know, maybe some CPR?"
"Here's another tip." Lapis answered. "If you see anyone drowning, or in this case struggling to get above water, race to their aid immediately and give them proper help."
"Here's an example!" Zuli exclaimed before she conjured up a hand from the pool water to grab Laz and pull her in.
"Hey, what the heck?!" Laz yelled while thrashing about in the water. "What was that for?!"
"Just giving an example here, Laz!" Zuli responded. "You can get out now!"
"Watch out for the creepy background music, and be on the lookout for air bubbles too!" Orange Spodumene cried, causing all the other Gems to look at her like she grew a few more heads. "What?
"You know, you could've done literally anything else as an example, Zuli." Laz hissed as she flew back out. "You know what, I have an idea. What don't we make a little change of scenery for our next lesson?"
"Ooh, does that mean we're going to the beach next?!" Orange Spodumene asked cheerfully.
"Oh, you bet we are!" Lapis replied just as eagerly. "Come on, guys, just follow us!"
"Woo!" the excitable lifeguard in training cheered before following her three tutors, with the other recruits trailing behind.
"Well, at least, hopefully, things will start looking up." Emerald snarked as she strolled alongside Pyrope.
"That reminds me, dearest Emerald, why did you decide to take this occupation?" Pyrope asked the former commander.
"I just had not much better to do." Emerald answered her ex-fellow Rutile Rebel. "Why did you join yourself, if I may ask?"
"I'm just leading a more active lifestyle." Pyrope proclaimed before turning to the others. "How about the rest of you?"
"I feel like using my occupation for a more noble purpose." Topaz said.
"I'm sure you know about my deal." Desert Glass smirked pridefully while tugging at the red material clinging onto her hips with a seductive look in her eyes.
"Mine too!" Orange Spodumene exclaimed as the group got closer to their destination. "Hey, I think I can already see the beach!"
"About time!" Topaz agreed with the plucky explorer as Beach City awaited them all, including its namesake beaches.
--
A few minutes later, the lifeguard team situated itself on an open patch of sand to continue the Lapides' lesson, all while being watched and lusted after by the surrounding beachgoers.
"Man, are those blue girls sisters or something?" a man muttered to his two friends. "Dibs on the freckled one!"
"I like the curly-haired one." The second man agreed before turning to the third one. "How about you?"
"Guess that leaves me with the third one." The third man declared by process of elimination.
"Guys, we have leerers at 4:00." Emerald groaned in irritation at their admirers. "Seriously, don't you all have jobs?!"
"Before we get distracted, let's discuss the most important part of being a lifeguard out here." Lapis stated before pointing toward a child swimming in the ocean. "Always helping people in need in the ocean."
"For example, if someone yells that they're drowning, you gotta race to save them!" Zuli added. "Oldest cliché in the book!"
"Okay, but what if someone isn't really drowning and just wants attention?" Pyrope asked with a raise of her hand.
"Just don't give them the time of day." Laz answered crossly. "Another one of the oldest cliches in the book!"
"So when can we start rescuing?!" Orange Spodumene asked. "I'm sure there are tons of people out here that need help!"
"Okay, I think we've said enough." Lapis declared. "Go ahead and start helping. We'll be watching and monitoring your progress." And just like that, the five lifeguards in training went out across the beach to perform their duties, helping others and relaxing under the waning summer sun. Desert Glass kept turning heads in her uniform, Topaz tried to look out for anyone who could possibly be drowning, Pyrope decided to get a tan, Orange Spodumene excitedly frolicked in the water, and Emerald sulked with her eye rolled as she stood thigh-deep in the ocean currents.
Meanwhile, a certain blue midget was about to make herself known again. Aquamarine fluttered down from above and perched on Lapis's head, wearing her signature smug grin. "Well, looks like someone's determined to uphold the most useless job in the world for Gems to take." Aquamarine taunted the three Lazulis with a sneer. "Seriously, whose idea was it to even have a pool in the first place?!"
"It was Peridot's idea, thank you very much!" Lapis began arguing with Aquamarine. "But now that I think about it, maybe she wasn't thinking with her head with that."
"I guess my point's been proven." Aquamarine replied smugly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to do things that are far more important and actually have a point to them."
"Okay, that's it!" Laz snapped at the ex-elite Gem as she made an arm emerge from the ocean and clutch Aquamarine in its hand. "Hey guys, here's someone you can save!"
"Laz!" Lapis and Zuli yelled at Laz as Aquamarine was dragged into the rough waves, making her unable to fly out herself.
"I'll make you pay for this!" Aquamarine yelled as she struggled to stay afloat.
"FLY UP!" Laz yelled from afar.
"But the waves, they won't let me!" Aquamarine continued calling.
"I SAID FLY UP!" Laz commanded again, yet when Aquamarine refused, she just groaned loudly and prepared to leave, only for Lapis to grab her shoulder.
"You started this!" Lapis exclaimed. "Therefore, you should help us fix this! Get everyone together and send them to save her!"
"Well, if you say so." Laz said before blowing her whistle, signaling the trainees to stop what they were doing and immediately race to their mentors. "Girls, we got a new lesson for you! Take everything you learned today and fix what I had done by saving Aquamarine!"
"Wait, how did she get there?" Topaz asked.
"I got sick of her and wanted to use her as a teaching assistant," Laz replied. "whether she liked it or not. Now go, go, go!"
"Okay, girls, planning time!" Topaz declared in response. "Spodumene, I'll need you to take Emerald and me out to sea to find Aquamarine! Pyrope, stay here with Desert Glass to give her proper treatment once she's back on land!"
"You have my word, big girl!" Desert Glass saluted proudly.
"Good luck, you three." Pyrope bid farewell to Topaz, Emerald, and Orange Spodumene as they raced to rescue Aquamarine from going under.
"Wow, they're all working together remarkably quickly." Zuli smiled with pride. "Did they always have it in them, or is it just spur of the moment?"
"Probably spur of the moment." Laz answered as the three Gems made it out to sea.
--
"You know, maybe angering a Lapis Lazuli was a horrible idea!" Aquamarine sputtered as she felt herself about to sink beneath the waves. "Somebody, help me!"
"Don't worry, Aquamarine, we're coming!" Topaz exclaimed as Orange Spodumene helped her and Emerald reach her via a boat made from OS's transparent membrane. "Just take my hand!"
"Wait, you?!" Aquamarine yelled at the thought of Topaz, the Gem who had been forced to pledge loyalty to the little Gem only to turn her back on her the first chance she got when Era 3 began, only now wanting to help her yet again. "You know what? I'm perfectly fine at the bottom of the ocean. Besides, I can just walk it off."
"Do you want us to help you, or do you want to sink?!" Emerald barked. "Because I'm more than happy to leave you here!"
"Listen, we're lifeguards, we'll always be here to help you!" Orange Spodumene exclaimed. "Just get on board!"
"Fine, if it'll make everyone shut up!" Aquamarine relented, took her former minion's massive, yellow hand, and was pulled onto the sticky boat. "Eugh, this vessel is so gross as well."
"I made it from my body!" Orange Spodumene cheerfully declared, grossing Aquamarine out even more as the seafaring Gem piloted her boat back to shore.
--
"Oh good, you're alright!" Pyrope cried in delight as Aquamarine was returned to shore. "Quick, hand her to me and Glass, and we'll treat her right!"
"I can walk by myself, you know!" Aquamarine yelled as Desert Glass conjured up a chair to place Aquamarine on while Pyrope pulled out a towel to dry her off. "Okay, I'm alive. What do you want me to say now?"
"I believe what you're trying to say is thank you." Lapis said to Aquamarine.
"Thank you?" Aquamarine asked quizzically.
"You're welcome." Laz scoffed. "Come on, don't we deserve a little credit for saving you?"
"Giving thanks to the enemy?! Well, I'd never!" Aquamarine yelled defiantly, but one look at Topaz's smile made her cave in just a little. "Okay, maybe Topaz deserves my respect for her leadership skills." She declared reluctantly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, screw you guys; I'm going home!"
"She's right. You all deserve congrats for your teamwork today!" Lapis agreed with Aquamarine as the three head lifeguards applauded their trainees. "I think you might just be ready for the big leagues now!"
"Woohoo!" Topaz cried excitedly.
"Oh my stars, we all made it!" Orange Spodumene exclaimed, all smiles and excitement.
"Well, it looks like we did it." Emerald declared with a proud smirk.
"Good for all of you." Pyrope agreed.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Desert Glass asked. "When do we start?"
--
A few days later, the five Gems were fully sworn in as lifeguards at the Little Homeworld pool, each rotating every hour with their superiors. Lapis would take the first shift; Topaz got the second shift, the third went to Zuli, the fourth to Laz, the fifth to Emerald, the sixth to Desert Glass, the seventh to Pyrope, and the final shift went to Orange Spodumene.
"Guess my time is up." Lapis said as she began flying away from the lifeguard chair. "You're up, Topaz!"
"Thanks, Lapis!" Topaz replied as she climbed onto her own chair, built specifically to fit her size. But as Topaz happily performed her duties, Aquamarine watched from a distance, perched upon Black Rutile's shoulder as the two spied on Topaz before turning to each other.
"You ever wanted another Topaz on your side?" Aquamarine asked her master with an evil smile.

Well, this chapter ran a little short. Then again, my footnotes were kind of barebones as well, but I think I did my best with what I got! Hopefully next chapter will give me more to work with, and by God, will it! Next chapter will have us focusing on Teal Zircon again, so there's bound to be tons of fun there. See you next week!

Incoming Text for Gal Gadot:
Hey, Gal!
Guess what? You will become the only Jewish woman who will protect the secrets of the future Jewish nation because Mila Kunis is a sellout and Natalie is in bed with a lot of intruders, so you know what this means, right? You are the only winner.
Now, you and Sacha Baron Cohen have to block Natalie Portman and her toxic intruders, Natalie has a lot of intruders trying to spy on us.
I will let you join the team of Elon Musk and close the door now.
Sacha Baron Cohen has his own team, so I know he is safe too.
Mila Kunis is too soft, she means well, but she is too soft. I don't judge her, she is a righteous woman but she is too soft, she opens the door to everyone, she thinks everyone wishes her well but they want to see her fail. Mila is so gullible, that's her weakness.
Okay, you know what time it is, you know what to do, call all your warrior girlfriends in Israel and get ready to protect the secrets of your future nation.
Remember that Elon Musk is your best friend, don't ever let him go.
As long as you are with team Elon Musk, you are protecting the secrets of your future nation, but if Elon is not there, you will be eaten by the wolves.
Also, the Carlos Slim Hélu family in Mexico are also your allies and the Amancio Ortega family in Spain, they will offer you protection and security.
I hope this information is useful, helpful.
Love you, Gal! Have fun, big hug for you.
P.S.:
Be nice to Mila Kunis, she is your sister, just make sure she doesn't know your secrets but you can hangout with her, she is a good woman.
Mila and Ashton are good people, they're just soft that's all.
We can't blame them for being soft, it's not their fault, they're just too nice to everyone.
