Same anon as last week, with a follow up question for Ballad of the Demon King! Are they by chance bound to using certain elements when they play music/spells?(Blue->water?) If they by chance did, would they all get different effects from the same song? And maybe a super powered up spell when playing the same song together?
The way the spell songs work is a little different than this, but same general concept, yeah! Actually, the way it works is each song has one set spell that it does, like the Song of Healing will always heal troubled souls no matter who's playing the song.
There is a catch, though, each instrument is bound to it's player, and each spell song is bound specific instruments. So for example, Blue could play New Wave Bossa Nova on his guitar and it would work, but Green couldn't play Blue's guitar and Green couldn't play New Wave Bossa Nova on his own guitar, the spell wouldn't activate, it would just be like playing a non-spell song. The only instance where two of them could play the same song and have it work is Zelda and Red playing Ballad of the Wind Fish, because the song is bound to both of their instruments, but for either one of them it still has the same effect of waking listeners up.
I did keep in mind a general theme for what effects the spells would have for each character though, with the exception of Zelda who doesn't really have a solid theme. Green's spells are themed around the forest and light, Blue's spells are water and electricity based, Red's spells are themed around phantoms, ghosts, and the dead, Vio's spells are emotion based, and Shadow's spells are ground/earth themed
Their magic doesn't exactly boost each other, per se, it's more like they each have their own specific skillsets that when combined make for effective teamwork, but there is one instance where one of them can boost the other's magic: Vio can play the Song of Storms, which will induce an overwhelming melancholy feeling onto listeners, but it will also summon a thunderstorm. This can end up boosting Blue's electricity and making it more effective.
Thanks so much for asking! I love having an excuse to talk about this stuff

Just discovered this blog, love the concept. Question though, all the way back in the original ref sheets for the crew Green had like a Fox Tail on his belt or something. What was that about?
It's not real, if that's what you're concerned about. - Zel

What's everyone's thoughts on 100 gecs
We consulted Green on his opinion too and he informed us that the lyrics are repetitive and nonsensical but none of us understand what's being said so that's his problem - Red

I've drawn Erune before but that was over a year and a half ago so thank you for giving me an excuse to redraw her! - Mun
