honestly that's a really hard question to answer 😭 i pour so much time into each piece i do that i feel like they all take a part of me to do so its hard to choose ;__; if i'm being real, this is probably one of my favorites:

i did this during finals week in the spring, and I remember being so so frustrated with the coloring that I was doing it to just get my mind off studying compsci. but I actually now really like the final product!! i think the colors are nice :)

I also like the ones with more thought to the compositions, they're some of my favorite to make and color:

Hey y'all! :D I have a two-parter for you today!

Since I'm still on that Thomas Brainrot(tm), I've been writing sort of "fan" episode concepts just for funsies. And since we never got to see the two sets of twin engines interact, you bet I had to write something based on just that! xD

Then, of course, I decided to draw something based on the concept as well, aaand... here we are! xD

One day, Douglas goes to Brendam Docks, where he meets a pair of cheeky little Saddletank engines. They're quickly up to their usual antics, teasing and pulling tricks on the poor Scottish engine. He's most annoyed with the two little troublemakers, and quickly begins thinking of a way to get back at them.

And so, with a little help from his twin Donald, they turn the tables on those cheeky little tank engines and give them a little taste of their own medicine! ;D

Once it's all over, though, they all have a good laugh about it! :D Though Bill and Ben would be shocked at first, they'd be good sports about it. At the very least they'd know never to mess with the Scottish twins again, that's for sure! xD

Honestly, I'm still shocked that these guys never interacted in the canon material. Pairing the two sets of twin engines together just seems like such a fun concept! I'd have loved to see the little gremlin tank engines get their comeuppance from the more level-headed, albeit still cheeky in their own right, Scottish twins. xD

Ah well! I can have fun imagining the chaos at least. ;D

Overall, I'm super happy with how this turned out!! I kind of went for a storybook-esque vibe with this and the other piece, and I'm really happy with the result. I also just had a lot of fun playing around with all the different textures and effects.

So I hope y'all enjoy it too! <3 And, with the FNAF movie (I still can't believe it LOL) just around the corner, I do have plans to draw something for that in the near future. ;3

for the post regarding natm headcanons—

ive always loved thinking about the different ways that holidays would be celebrated by the exhibits, especially since there would be an absolutely insane amount of them all throughout the year

like there’d have to be a bunch of back to back celebrations in december just to accommodate everyone around the winter solstice/christmas

and exhibits constantly approaching larry about organizing parties for super niche religions/practices and he just has to go along with it

there’d be hella conflict too bc holidays like halloween/samhain might be regarded as evil and demonic by the more puritan exhibits who would try to put a stop to it at first

(but i think the whole concept of dressing up in costume would be enough to win most of the exhibits over—they’d have a blast with trading clothes with one another, and larry wouldn’t have the heart to tell them that that’s not technically how it’s supposed to work)

and honestly every holiday would be chaos considering the fact that a handful of the exhibits are at a point in time where most mainstream holidays hadn’t even been created yet

and then there’d be stuff like weddings and birthdays, all with conflicting cultures and practices, that somehow clash well in ways they shouldn’t

i’ll stop here before this gets too long lol

but i think the idea as a whole is really cool to think about !! :)

Wow dude- it's quite a long but interesting headcanon!! I too think that the exhibits could celebrate their holidays, which are related to their religion and customs, as well as modern holidays that didn't yet exist at their respective times

For example, Theodore Roosevelt or Jed could give Larry the idea of celebrating Christmas (as far as I know Larry is Jewish, so in fact he doesn't celebrate the European holidays; please correct me if I'm wrong). I like to imagine how beautifully the museum could be decorated for this holiday and how the rest of the exhibits, who don't know about this holiday or simply don't celebrate it, just look at it all with their mouths open lmao

And on Halloween Larry could take the exhibits outside, because they already look like they're wearing holiday costumes and just have fun with them idk :D

I think what I like the most is the idea of celebrating birthdays!! Like, it's quite a funny thing for me: "Happy birthday, Oct, today you're turning 2000+ years old" or something like that XD

Or, as you mentioned, celebrating weddings!! I think there can be two scenarios: either the wedding is held alternately according to the traditions of both sides, which may take two days to celebrate, or it all gets mixed up and it turns out to be some kind of wild wedding that the world hasn't seen yet-

Anyways, this is a pretty interesting topic to discuss, but my brain isn't working so well right now and I can't think of any more examples yet...

MK - oh my gosh this boy thinks you are adorable. In the relationship he likes that you have the same kinda energy levels that he has! You two probably go on a lot of fun dates rather than serious ones(hitting the dance floor at the arcade as opposed to a fancy dinner). Also, he’s super affectionate with you in general, but it’s completely up to you if you let him pet your bunny ears or let him lean on your chest. He loves giving you bunny kisses(if you don’t know, it’s when you nuzzle noses with someone it’s so cute).

Redson - probably very protective of you! After all, if you look this adorable, some other demon is sure to try and come after you…Red won’t let them get the chance :) anyways. You two are an interesting couple; a fiery Bull demon with anger issues and a very lovable and outgoing bunny demon…and yet somehow you cancel each other out enough that this relationship works out very well! You’re kind of like Redson’s “emotional support y/n”! And in turn you basically have immunity from any other demon attacks. Red pretends to be very casual at first but at the end of the day he can’t resist those eyes that you give him when you want him to come cuddle with you. He’s a space heater, take advantage of it during the colder months! Also, he definitely uses your chest as a pillow. It’s the perfect way to convince him to get actual rest :)

Nezha - so so stoic but TRUST ME, he is internally screaming. How are you so cute and also want to be in a relationship with him of all people?? It’ll take a while, but he relaxes a bit and gets used to being allowed to be sweet and soft and romantic with you. When he’s stressed out he will definitely seek you out so he can chill, especially by just getting down to your level(assuming you’re shorter than him) and hugging you. His absolute favorite thing is wrapping you up in a blanket and carrying you around the house while he just does stuff because then he can have a kiss kiss whenever :3

Macaque - okay so prepare for some teasing from this man in the relationship. He’ll poke some fun at you and call you names associated with bunnies(lovebun is his favorite nickname to call you), but if it honestly bothers you he’ll ease up. Like Nezha, it may take him a minute to allow himself to let his guard down and actually let himself be loved as much as he’s loving you. He’s also pretty protective. He loves snuggling up with you at the end of a very long day more than anything else. It makes him feel safe.

Wukong - remember the cooking with Chang’e episode? This is exactly like that except you’re not a robot trying to destroy him. Wukong cannot stop himself from squealing almost every time he sees you. He’s very into physical affection, so don’t be surprised if whatever activity you’re up to gets slightly interrupted by loud monkey purring as he nuzzles you. Similar to Macaque, he’ll poke fun at you, but it’s all very lighthearted and never meant as an insult. If you allow him to, he may shrink you down a bit so he can bring you with him wherever. He also cuddles with you and puts his head on your chest a lot.

how are things? and I was wondering if you've got a favorite fic that you wrote or if its just too hard to choose?

i've been down with a cold so things are kinda annoying but it seems to be getting better at least so maybe things are looking up :'D thanks for asking!

oh damn. it is hard to choose. and it also depends on my mood, and like... some are faves because they were fun to write, some because i like how the end result turned out, some bc friends liked them, and so forth. it depends on what kind of a favorite we're looking for :3

i scrolled through my RE fics and tried to pick only the top faves and still ended up with thirty fics :'D (and sorta sad bc so many of them were not crowd pleasers lmao)

but! shameless self-recs under the cut! (it got long lol sorry)

we didn't know how to fly so high (burned down before we reached the sky) (Chris/Leon) - this one's special because it's the first RE fic I wrote and it's what ended a three year dry spell of me not writing a single thing. it's also special because back then i could go "OH ONE NOTE!" and post the second chapter lol.

haunting in my head (tempting me, inviting me to fall asleep in its arms) (Piers/Leon) - since I picked the first one, I'm also gonna pick the latest one. this was the kind of an idea that plagued me until I got it written and i'm super pleased with how it worked out!

and it's kind of obligatory for me to mention the self-indulgent series, because for so long it was what kept me going and what kept me writing when nothing else worked. it might not be the best thing i've written but it's for sure what i've poured most love in.

tear me open (and make me whole again) (Piers/Leon, past Krauser/Leon) - from my whumptober fics this one i was the most excited about. i know it's got quite a bit of violence in it but like. i thought it hit all the right notes emotionally too, and i honestly wished it would've done better. i think it's worth it! am still happy with how it turned out.

(honorable mention to haunt you like it's part of you, another Piers/Leon and past Krauser/Leon, which is something i am really really into but apparently it's just me :'D but I really like the way the pairings clearly contrast each other tbh, i just think it's neat)

in the end it's you and I (Piers/Leon) - this is another whumptober fic I was super excited for! i'm beyond pleased with how it turned out and at least I feel all the right emotions while reading it.

all the things you are (Jake/Piers) - honestly I could've picked pretty much any of the Piers/Jake fic I've written because they were all really fun to write and their dynamic is super fun :'D I love the little bits in re6 where they interact bc they get on each other's nerves in all the right ways!

when it comes to metaltango, they're pretty much all close to my heart lol but can't help but follow in spite of going insane is something i regularly think back to and am still happy with how it turned out. same with the Krauser's back series, and question all my doubts, especially.

never too much to ask for (Piers/Leon) - this one is so very very important to me because LEON LEARNS TO BE LOVED. he learns to not only accept comfort but actually ASK FOR IT and it makes me emotional just to think about it 🥺

gonna show you tonight (Piers/Leon) - this one just makes me very happy.

and then there are the Piers/Leon ones where I've inserted Piers into a game/movie he isn't in, and honestly, those are ALL something I've had fun with and love the results! there's re2 with Piers, re4 with Piers, Damnation with Piers, and a combo of re4/Vendetta/og stuff with Piers! also the other re2 with Piers but that one only has one chapter for now so :'D

heal the scars and change the stars (Piers/Leon) - this one was based on a dream I had and I can still remember the exact vibe of the dream, and the way it haunted me afterwards, and I'm honestly really happy with the fic too. I have a thing for breaking up and getting back together it seems :'D

you're a dream (Piers/Leon) - this is something I've always always wanted to write, because soulmate aus are interesting but I've always gravitated towards imperfect soulmate systems, where it takes real effort to find them, and it's not so clear cut. and I honestly love how this turned out.

at the shore of the unknown (Piers/Leon) - another thing i always wanted to do was a soft apocalypse. this was supposed to be the first fic of a series, and the series is probably not happening, but i'm still content with the mood of this fic as is :3 i love these... slow empty worlds.

before I even knew your name (Piers/Leon) - THIS! this was SO MUCH FUN i don't know if I've ever had as much fun writing a fic :'D idk it was such a joy.

i crave therefore i am (Piers/Leon) - this fic however fought me every single step of the way, i wrote it like three times, and hated half of the process lmao, but i do love how it turned out. and the first scene is one of my all time favorite scenes i've ever written in my life.

to feel again (fwb!Chris/Leon at first, Piers/Leon eventually) - this was supposed to be a quick little oneshot but in the end it spiraled into something longer, and I do love it. like. the whole point of the Chris/Leon bit was that neither of them is the bad guy or wrong but they just weren't right for each other at that point in time, and then I enjoyed letting Leon build trust and a new relationship with Piers slowly at his own pace. 10/10 would write again :'D

last chance garage (ot3) - this one was very emotional to write and also got SO out of hand bc it was supposed to be like 1k max and in the end I wrote 8k lol. but it's my favorite ot3 fic.

winter lovin' (there's snow one like you) (Piers/Leon) - this one is super special to me because it happens in Finland :D they're vacationing on my home turf lol. but also because they're so in love, and they get to have fun and be together and. idk. the whole fic makes me all "🥺💖" like i literally turn into a physical embodiment of those two emojis. i love the fic.

stay until the end of life (Piers/Leon) - this one was also very emotional to write and I wanted to put them through a lot, and show how they really are in it for better and for worse. i wanted to show the struggles too, like... they love each other. they wanna be there for each other. but it's not always that easy. and I do think it worked out great.

three words to last forever (Piers/Leon) - I'm gonna end this way too long list with this because it's the first (and so far only) time I wrote a "choose your own ending" story and it was so much fun! I wish I could do a bigger story where you get to make multiple choices, but that would require some serious brainstorming lol. anyhow, I'm happy I got to do this! and happy with it turned out! especially the saddest ending :'D

now I'll shut up with my deepest apologies lmao.

also here's two headcanons of my own: Oklahoma sometimes lets Texas brush his hair since he knows how much Texas loves it. Texas likes to run his hands through it, play with it, and style it when Oklahoma lets him. His hands are pretty roughed up (scars, burns, etc) from wars/Mexico/farm work so Oklahoma's soft hair feels nice on his rough hands. New York, California, and New Jersey go skateboarding together a lot. New Jersey and California saw New York eyeing a rat stuffed animal at a store and instead of being smart and just paying for it, they stole it for him. New York yelled at them for being stupid (he treasures it and keeps it next to his bed)

OPINION: I love this ship so much! I love how they have an enemies dynamic that has the potential to turn into a love story (some enemy dynamics can be toxic to the point a potential romance is out the window, but that's not the case here). To me, they have a married couple vibe where they bicker over the smallest stuff but wouldn't hesitate to comfort each other when needed. "Must be exhausting thinkin' about me all day, huh?" is a banger line, and it defines their romantic tension to me. They're so awesome :D

(also I reside in Texas, and I can confirm that many of my Texan fellas dislike Oklahoma bc there's nothing much to do there as opposed to Texas & Oklahomans hate Texans bc they think Texans are mean, but honestly I wouldn't call it full hate. Just a rivalry)

YOUR HEADCANON: I love your hc for them! Oklahoma definitely has soft long hair that he maintains in the best way he can (even if the hair products can be expensive) and Texas definitely knows how to treat hair :D That's such a sweet hc and definitely one of my favorites I've heard.

-Texas has taken Oklahoma to an HEB before and has raced with him to get every single item on their grocery list. Texas knew that Okie would lose bc Texas knows this HEB like the back of his hand, but to his own surprise, he let himself walk through the aisles slower than he usually does so he could see Okie be proud of himself when he gets all the items first. It worked. Okie bragged like there was no tomorrow but Texas wouldn't dare change the happiness Okie felt.

-They go to HEB every weekend. They don't even shop there sometimes, they just roam around the store and somehow entertain each other as they do so. "Remember that time you tried to microwave this cake mix?" "I did that so I could poison you, idiot." "Mhmm.."

-Oklahoma and Texas go tornado watching in Okie's state. They're not scared though since Okie's used to it and Texas practically goes hurricane watching with Loui and Florida. One time they blacked out from hitting their head in their shaky car when it caught into the tornado, and Texas was the one who managed to wake up first and get them home safe.

-Texas cooks for Oklahoma & Oklahoma chooses the outfits that Texas wears. Big dude can't dress himself in something other than a button-up, old jeans, and cowboy boots, so Okie changes it up. Okie also validates Texas when Texas wants to wear something that's considered more feminine (dresses, skirts, crop tops, etc).

-Oklahoma humbles Texas. Big dude is super prideful and can sometimes forget to be humble, so Oklahoma never hesitates to humble him. Kind of like how Washington called Texas out ("Texas, you're killing jobs!" from Table News: Ida goes North, Texas goes Backward)

-Oklahoma and Texas both have scars, and occasionally, they caress each others' scars to tell each other that they'll love their scars just as much as they love every other part of each other. <3

-Louisiana and Arkansas have been their go-to when it comes to Okie & Texas' at-home dates. Louisiana cooks the food for the dinner and Arkansas sets the mood up with decorations and music.

-Loui and Pirate Kansas have also been one of the main reasons the 2 got together in the first place. Loui and Texas are best friends & Okie and Arkansas get along somewhat, and once Loui and Arkansas found out their best friends like each other, they got to planning. Florida has also joined in, and while neither Texas or Oklahoma wanna admit it, Flo's goofy wingmaning is another reason they got together.

-They had a heavy, angsty confession over in Texarkana (a city that's in TX, OK, and AR) that led to crying and a short trip to Buc-ees to feel better :D

-[this one is kind of suggestive] Before they got together (a.k.a when they were still rivals), Oklahoma dragged Texas out of Texas' little hut in the countryside and took him to see his state, saying, "Who said there's nothing to do here?" and Texas lowkey thought, I'd do you here if only you'd let me. Texas left Oklahoma still thinking that the state is far inferior than his though. Of course, Texas couldn't get the dirty remark out of his head, and that's when he realized that shoot, he likes Oklahoma.

-They like to listen to country music and ballads together and even sing on occasion. Since Texas knows so many languages, he knows ballads from all around the world and sings them to Oklahoma to put him to sleep (preferrably Spanish & Filipino love songs). Oklahoma also puts Texas to sleep except with folk songs or old stories.

California/New York/New Jersey

OPINION: Honestly, I'm not sure if I love it or if I'm neutral about it, but I know I don't hate it. I usually ship CaliYork or California/New Jersey separately and never really thought about putting the three into a poly relationship, but I've seen your take on the three and it's actually growing on me. My fav's still CaliYork, but I like these three goofballs together too. I need to read more stories on them though 😅

YOUR HEADCANON: Oh they definitely skateboard a lot together and are competitive when doing so. I betcha their clumsy selves have gotten injured before too :3 And the stuffed animal theft is beautiful, they'd do anything to see their bf York happy. Aww :3 (you have such a creative mind omg)

I don't have many headcanons on them, but here are a few that I have:

-They all ride motorcycles together. Sometimes New Jersey's the one that drives and Cal & York ride with him, and other times they each have their own bike and race each other in whatever road they please (they all agree that I-4 is a no)

-Jersey and York cook for California to make sure he is well-fed. They've tried to teach Cal how to cook, but they've all decided that it's better that he doesn't 😅

-They're all fashionable goofballs and have been mistaken as models once when they were walking through the streets of Hollywood. New York's fashion is either business-casual or punk, New Jersey's usually in shorts and a casual tee but the accessories make it stand out, and Cal changes his style a lot but usually is in a crop top w/ shorts or a designer fit. Despite all of them having different fashion tastes, they like to match outfits.

-They maintain a garden filled with their state flowers. When they all got together, New Jersey showed the other two his personal garden filled with violets and sunflowers (in courtesy of Kansas, whom I think Jersey likes to talk to sometimes), but as their relationship progressed, it slowly turned into a garden of violets, California poppies, and red roses.

-They all like to go to beaches in California to de-stress. Sometimes they go there at 3am just to avoid crowds and hear the waves, other times they go at noon to feel the sun as they swim in the waters. They always go home with a smile on their faces.

-They've driven in each of their states to see which state is the worst to drive in. California has traffic, New York's kinda disorganized, and Jersey has roads where you're doomed if you take a wrong exit. All of these roads trips have ended in arguments, but nothing violent because they all learned to communicate w/o violence.

Since I don't currently have a whole lot of information on all the stuff surrounding that, I can really only do basic headcanons, but I would be happy to flesh this stuff out a bit once the content is actually released and we get more solid information surrounding the region and characters and such

But for nowwww

Warnings: Spoilers for the Sumeru trailer, general sagau stuff, vague mentions of death, general obsessive like behavior

• In Sumeru the disappearance/death of their God was particularly painful because of how much it resembled your disappearance

• A being that embodied wisdom, kindness and love, falling tragically to something they could only ever speculate, was almost the exact same as what legend told of your past

• Those stories ended up intertwining themselves with one another, to the point that some of the people in Sumeru considered you and there Archon God one in the same

• Not in a literal physical sense, but some of the more outlandish conspiracies are that their old Archon God was a reincarnation of you in a way

• If you return to Teyvat before the rebirth of the new Dendro Archon, then the people of Sumeru rely on you more heavily than any other nation

• In that instance, they would be a godless nation, and since they already consider you to be so closely related to their former God, it's almost as if this dissension was something of a rebirth for their land and the wisdom it held

• If you arrive after the rebirth when the nation is a bit more stable, which is the most likely situation to happen, you've got a bit more wiggle room

• The people aren't so heavily reliant on you to be their guiding figure then

• But, either way, when you do get to Sumeru, it's going to be very difficult for you to leave

• The people living there often use the serenity and beauty of nature to keep you, why would you rather be anywhere else?

• Their Archon is the youngest, the least experienced, and this can be worrisome for some of them

• They know that having you around would both help with general morale, and the guiding of their realm to what it once was through your hands

• Their land could only truly flourish under your reign of course

• It only makes sense that you, in your all knowing and all seeing wisdom, reside in the nation of wisdom when they need you the most

• All the regions fight to be your permanent residence really, it's considered the greatest honor for them

• And you certainly have a place to stay in each, the work you do requires travel, and why wouldn't you want to indulge in the beauty of your lands?

• But Sumeru is widely known to have pushed the hardest, been the most persistent, sacrifice the most in order to provide you with a place that you would truly want to reside

• A place that you could consider home

• When it comes to forms of worship, each nation is kind of known for offering things that relate to their element

• So in this case, you better be prepared for a whole lot of flowers

• You're going to be absolutely covered in them, almost everything you touch is also going to be covered in them

• And everywhere you step and everywhere you look and—

• You get the point

• They're a domain that is lush in beautiful greenery, of course they're going to use that to their advantage

• Also every single statue of you that is in their domain has a flower crown

• In some of the smaller towns it's turned into a local ritual, who gets to make the daily flower crown that goes on their personal statue of you

• They, like every nation, believe themselves to be your one true successor nation, the one you favor most, the one that is most in your image

• It boils down to the concept of life and death, growing and dying, that's what their domain is founded on when you dig deep enough into it

• And of course, what is more godlike than that?

Hi there! Been a long time lurker for a while but I gotta say, your theories and headcanons about Kenny are immaculate 🙏🏻😩 specifically the ones surrounding his immortality. I really wish we were given more about his curse, there isn't enough content about it! I know that's part of the mystery and one of the many reasons why Kenny is so awesome, but even a few crumbs here and there would be so appreciated 😭. The super-hero trilogy and FBW are my favourite because of the focus on Kenny's powers and how it could be connected to the Cthulu Mythos. It's even inspired me to write my own fic about it. And looking towards your blog ignites the determination I have to finish it! So for that, I gotta say thank you for constantly inspiring me with your own passion about this immortal boy! 💕

Hello! I appreciate the kind words and feel rather honored. :D I'm always happy and love being able to help inspire lore and creativity around the immortal legend that is Kenny. He's a character with so much potential and yet not as much canon time as we'd love for him. So it's fun that we're able to do it ourselves. I love how we're all able to come up with our own ideas and theories/headcanons for him and share them and build upon him. Showing just how much lore can be added to this character. To think he started out as the show's punching bag but there's just something about Kenny that some of us just loved and gravitated towards. The running joke that just turned into something so much more. I honestly really do hope we get another plot or episode or special or whatever that brings us back to Kenny searching and discovering the origins of his immortality. Until then I guess it's up to us fans to do something with his Cthulhu bloodline. He potentially has Eldritch abomination blood pumping through his veins there's got to be a demon inside him somewhere. Esp one that's possibly very angry with the curse the universe stuck him with…that's got to build up on something. Oh man just a plot where Kenny is at his most furious and reaching a breaking point cause he's just fuck this curse and fuck the world for not even remembering when he suffers and dies…ok I'll stop rambling though I still can't help but imagine that being the true reason behind Princess Kenny's betrayal in Stick of Truth. She just decided to take it out on us...ok I'll stop for real. XD But anyways I do hope you stay determined and are able to finish your fic! As you may have noticed I have so many ideas of my own but I haven't really written fanfic in so long…so good luck and keep me posted!

I figured we were going to go the "are you my daddy?" route, but still I'm genuinely surprised that the boys, especially Donnie, haven't even considered that Ghost might be an alternate universe Donatello. I understand that they arent aware of the existence of alternate universes, but Donnie has done research and has a whole cork board dedicated to the subject, WITH PHOTOGRAPHS of three different iterations of the turtle's, all of whom bare a surprising resemblance to Ghost! At least, more so than the Rise!Turts anyways. Meanwhile, Ghost is a mutant turtle who wasn't created by Draxum, is practically a genetic clone of Donnie, is trained in ninjutsu, has a super genius iq, wields a bo staff, wears a purple mask, has brothers who are very similar to the boys, a mutant rat for a father, and was separated by his family in a way that requires a special portal machine to get back to them. Honestly, the fact that Ghost can only return to his family via portal machine should have been a big clue. Like, why is a portal the only way for him to go home? Where on earth is his home if no traditional travel methods can get him back there?

Pizza Pit hasn't happened yet, so Donnie actually hasn't done research with photographs of the different turtle iterations! And keep in mind that Donnie felt like he was copying Ghost. Everyone but Ghost thought that Donnie was just modelling himself after Ghost because they're both intelligent. Favorite color purple? Well he might as well try out a bo staff since that's what Ghost has...

Donnie was aware of a parallel dimension as an option, but he saw Ghost being his dad as more likely. His next best theory is that he's an alien of some kind. Or at least from a different planet, even if he was created on Earth.

A big difference between the 2003 TMNT and Rise is that the 2003 turtles are not biologically related to Splinter in any way, and they possibly aren’t biologically related to each other either. They are just four turtles and a rat that happened to be in the right place at the right time to get mutated. Splinter became their father because he CHOSE to be. They are a family through CHOICE. I love that you are carrying that on into GITS!! Biological relation doesn’t matter to Ghost - why would it? It’s a legacy of love he is passing on to the Rise boys, and I think it’s beautiful.

For 2003 it's very likely that they're biologically brothers, because they were sold at the same time from the same pet store, likely from the same tank. They were probably a part of the same clutch! But Splinter taking them in definitely taught them that choosing is important. Knowing April and Casey, meeting the rest of their friends, the turtles know. They know what it means to choose family. Biological relation has never mattered to Ghost. Even if his brothers weren't biologically related to him at all, he would still feel the same about them.

It's kind of why Ghost doesn't understand Rise Splinter well. Why would he choose to take in these kids when he acts like he doesn't want them half the time?

I imagine Lou (because he is still Lou at this point) would feel responsible for Don as well. Don is scared, he just got separated from his family, he's been through shit. Don calls his dad "sensei" or "father" or "Master Splinter", so Lou wouldn't use Splinter as a nickname. Don would also be talking about his brothers. This boy spills everything instantly. Lou immediately knows everything about their lives. He doesn't tell Don about his, because he's still just a kid. He's younger than Lou was when he left home to be a movie star.

Don being there would help and make things worse. On one hand, Lou feels guilty for the days he can't help Don, and it feels like Don's doing everything on his own. Don helps look after the kids, he helps fix up the lair, he helps set up security, he's working on his portal. He just works all the time. The only way Lou can get him to stop is if he asks him to watch the kids. And it does sort of let his depression seep in a little faster, because he's got someone covering for him.

He still parents Don. Tries to take care of him, tries to teach him. Don is the one who approaches him asking for training, because he's been doing it his whole life, and he enjoys it. It gives him a way to let out energy when his mind is tired and he wants to rest it. It reminds him of his family, makes him feel closer to them. He still goes out to do patrols every night, still saves people in trouble as quietly as he can. Lou worries about him, but he can hardly stop him from doing what he wants. He isn't Don's father. It makes him more determined not to train the little ones, but they'll end up mimicking Don, wanting to know what he's doing. Don ends up teaching them little things. Lou and Don probably get into a big argument about it.

I think all the Rise boys would get different names in this case, because Lou knows Don's name and his brothers' names. Raphael would be Alessandro (Sandro), Donatello would be Masaccio (Masa), Michelangelo would be Angelico (Angie), and Leonardo would be Titian (Ti).

Watching them dance? They do it all the time, and Ghost enjoys watching. He's never joined in, always insisting he can't dance. They try to get him to join in, but he just refuses. He likes watching them more. CAN he? I feel like Ghost can dance in the same way that Aang from ATLA can dance. His fighting is his dancing.

I like to think they get a lil chilly at night and that's why they wear PJs. Sometimes Donnie sleeps entirely nekkid (Purple Jacket) so I imagine it depends on what they're feeling at the moment.

The boys 100% get Ghost pajamas. They're strawberry PJs. He loves them and wears them especially in winter.

The boys definitely play their music for Ghost! He listens to it and sees how they can enjoy it. Personally he likes classic rock the most but he's not terribly picky, either. He tends to go with "I see why you like this song" kind of vibes, even if he doesn't like it personally. He likes hearing their music. Gives him a little insight to the inside of their heads.

Before Ghost found out that Splinter was Lou Jitsu, he enjoyed the movies quite a bit! They reminded him of something his Michelangelo would really like, of movie nights with his brothers. Splinter overheard Ghost's opinion of the movies from his boys, and from Ghost. He's very pleased that Ghost likes them.

After Ghost finds out Splinter was Lou Jitsu, he stopped watching the movies unless he was watching them with the boys. It just made him think of how different everything was. He's learning to enjoy them again, slowly.
