saw a post talking about how whenever Scar opens his mouth, he becomes basically invincible. he can talk himself out of almost any situation and that’s how he usually survives for so long. (the OG post i’m talkng about was by liloinkoink btw!) and i’m just saying,,, i’m so tempted to make a Superpower AU where Scar has the power of persuasion.

if he’s in danger, all it takes is opening his mouth for a split second, just long enough to channel his persuasion and suddenly you’re being talked into letting him walk out the door, perfectly safe and sound. honestly, he’s got so much potential to be a bad guy. he could be the most corrupt businessman, running Convex alongside Cub and taking control one business move at a time, and getting away with it bc no one quite realizes that’s his power bc i mean??? Scar’s naturally that good of a businessman that he hardly needs to use it.

at the same time tho,,, i think it’d be funny if HoTgUY had those same persuasion powers and just. doesn’t tell anyone??? agajakf

like just imagine!! he’s on a mission with Cuteguy and they’re in a bind. they’re caught and surrounded by some baddies and Scar’s like “don’t worry G, i got this:)”

and Grian’s just— “oh no,,, no no. scar please don’t, no”

and Scar clears his throat like “um,,, excuse me?” and when he gets the goons attention, he’s just “hi there! it seems you’ve guys got my friend and i (say hi, G!) here tied up by mistake:) we’re kinda in a hurry to get out of here, so could you please let us go:))” and it works. the goons start mindlessly untying them and Scar probably tells them like, “thank you! now if you could just go on and tie yourselves up for us instead, that’d be just aaamazing! we’ve gotta go, but you’ve all been just lovely:))”

and Grian just— “…what. scar, what.”

and Scar just— “oh! i have powers. i thought i told you that:)”

This conversation gets right to the rift at the heart of desert duo; Scar chooses peace and whimsy, where Grian chooses violence and caprice.

Sure, every now and again, they can push or pull eachother in one direction or another. But over time they've both learned that it'll lead them to destruction. But, once again, Scar offers Grian the hand of peaceful friendship. And once again, Grian pushes it away in derision. Scar is always willing to offer Grian that hand. But Grian can never seem to let himself follow. He can only accept their friendship on his own terms, when they work together to cause mischief and mayhem.

I have a hc that Grian is aromantic (especially as a watcher) and that Scarian IS still very much a ship that happens except Scar isn't aromantic/asexual, and the "romance" aspect of their relationship doesn't exist except for platonically. They both love each other with their entire being, but Grian doesn't romantically. And Scar does. And while Scar would never say anything, and he completely understands that Grian doesn't feel love in that way and accepts and is fine with it...it still hurts him. Just a little bit. Because he gives his entire soul to a man who he knows will never utter the words "I love you." back to him. And even if he ever did, well... it's not the same.

When Scar finds out about Grian's secret soulmate though? THAT is what crushes him and there is not enough talk about what Scar AND GRIAN felt during that exchange- how heartbroken Scar was. How lost Grian was, and I like the idea that Grian was partly only being with BigB because...he wanted to see if he could feel what Scar described to him. But he doesn't, and that's kinda when he realizes for sure he's aromantic, and finally accepts it for himself. He's always known, but he would always fight it instead of living with it.

Sorry if that made absolutely no sense I'm not going back to edit this just something I thought I'd throw out into the void. 100 notes and I'll write a fic about it and post it here.

I’ve decided that I’m going to start making drawings and backstories for potential children of some of my ships and this one’s gonna be the first. This is Rèaltin, from what I’ve found her name means little star in Irish. She’s the daughter of c!Grian and c!Scar and definitely has their mischievous tendencies. She is both a Watcher and a Listener, she inherited Grian’s Watcher traits and was favoured by the Listeners as well because of the potential all of these godly beings saw for her. She’s very witty and a quick thinker, it helps her get out of situations if she gets caught pranking. Her auntie Pearl and auntie Cleo taught her everything they know. She has Scar’s silver tongue and it has gotten her out of many tight spots. She gets her wings from Grian and is a raven as they live in the desert and are very smart birds. She gets her elf ears from Scar. She’d do quite well in the Life Series…

let’s just say she has some maniacal tendencies.

i always thought that sam was face blind (i forget the actual name) and had borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia

but i think sam was very easily manipulatable and yuki used that to get what she wanted but sam was always weird so no one really noticed when she took 'affect'

(i also headcannon that sam got professional help and medicated, he felt so very incredibly guilty he changed his entire identity and hopped around till he ended up in Hermitcraft under the identity of GoodtimewithScar bc try to convince me they have the same vibe of insanity, scars just hinged)
