“Now Monroe, you know it’s not fair for you to be out here looking so good, putting everyone to shame. They should just put you up on stage for an hour, whole place will be mesmerized.” JJ was in a great mood. He always was and though he and Amory both had some tips for the party planners, overall he was having a good time. That he was sure would be better when he finally found Monroe after following her very specific instructions in where to find her. When he got to her, he leaned in and kissed her cheek softly and then looked her over again. “Was hoping you’d be here. You having fun cause if not we can change that quickly.” @day-farell

Open to anyone Locaton: The Delacorte Theatre (and its imaginary green)
Monroe loved live theatre, so when the opportunity presented itself to see some phenominal Black talent she jumped on it. She got there early, probably a little too early, to stake out a spot for her picnic blanket on the lawn. She settled in to read a copy of the play she had brought, her snacks and booze carefully tucked away for when the show actually started.
She had just started the second act when a shadow slanted accross her book “Watch the blanket” she snapped before even looking up to see who it was. “Sorry, I’ve had to fix it like four times in the last twenty minutes”

"So, do I get any matchmaker points or what?" Prince smiled as he sat across from Monroe during what had become a weekly lunch for them since they had both been spending more time in Rosewood. "I haven't seen JJ this happy since the Bulls won the championship a few years back. Don't be surprised if he throws you a party." @day-farell

LOCATION: club envy, the dj booth CLOSED: @djmonroeoliveira
“Heyyo!” Scout called up to Monroe, trying to shout louder than the music and crowd. If that didn’t grab her attention, her raised hand holding a tall glass of rum and coke surely did. “You’re very lucky I was the one to find you,” she teased, quoting as she pulled the drink back, just out of reach and forcing the other to draw closer towards her. Scout took the moment to give Monroe a nice up and down. “You were looking a little thirsty.”

He saw it from a far, an accident waiting to happen. Nev didn’t want anyone’s nice suits to be ruined. It took only a few strides on his long legs before he was reaching out to gently guide the younger man out of the way just before a server came flying by with a very full tray of glasses of champagne. “That was a close call.... I’m glad I got here in time. I was just over there and saw that there was going to be a collision and champagne was going to be involved and all I could think.... I need to be there in a prosecco,” Nevada mused, hoping that they would catch the pun. He gave an awkward laugh of amusement, scratching the back of his head. “Are you alright?”

JJ had already started getting ready the moment he had asked Monroe if she were free, assuming the answer would be yes. He was feeling pretty fresh as he checked himself over in the mirror, double checking his sneakers before he grabbed his things and got ready to go. He took a few selfies for posterity before grabbing his keys and putting in the address Monroe had given him into his phone. He was a bit picky in the garage as he tried to think through which car to take, wishing he had called in Rob and Amory for a bit of a pep talk but he knew he could be his own hypeman. He thought about what he knew about Monroe so far and decided on the green Maserati since it matched his sneakers. He figured flowers were a little much for this first link up so he decided to grab some baked goods from Magnolia’s first, figuring they could be a good snack once they were out of the club. So he pulled up and parked quickly, getting out of his car with the box tucked at his side before he knocked on the door a few times, not wanting to be one of the dudes who just sat and kept the car warm. There was no missing the smile when she opened the door. “Damn, I knew you were fine but you are...fucking stunning. I don’t know if I would have been able to breath if I gave you two hours to get ready.” @day-farell

Lennox Monroe | Shakespeare in the Park
Monroe is excited for a fun evening out with absolutely no work or need for sterile bandages, thank you very much. Her hair is half up, half down in chunky marley twists and she’s dressed casually in black monochrome with a crop top, high waisted pants and a light button down for some added protection. Karou and Sarai are accompanying her to experience live theatre for the first time.
