In Chapter Two, Hades leaves the Underworld for the sunshine of the Mortal Realm. I loved how in Lore Olympus there was such a visual difference between the two places and I tried to capture that—and also the peace that Simon finds there.

Summary:

Summary: We’ve all read of how soulmates can find each other; the red string of fate, the wrist timer, finally seeing colour, the shared song…but what about the first person to find their soulmate? The creator of that original soulmate spell? Simon Snow is having zero luck developing an 8th year spell. So he’s elated when he casts “Threads of Fate,” and something actually happens. But when the spell creates a thread that leads him right to his nemesis, he’s not so sure what he’s created is actually a good thing. When trying again results in everyone in the World of Mage having a string that ties them to someone else, he wonders: did his spell tie him and Baz together because they are fated to fight to the death? Or could there be another reason?

Simon lifted his shaking hand, pointing the switchblade at the man slowly backing away. “That man—He—The cabinet—” Simon stumbled over his words, unable to get a coherent sentence out. Ebb’s gaze followed the pointed tip of the blade, but as she turned back to him, her brows only creased with worry as she slightly shook her head. “Simon, calm. There’s no one there,” she said, her voice meek as lowered his hand. “What, no—He—” As Simon’s gaze snapped back to where the man had just stood, all he had been met with was an empty kitchen.

Simon is a down on his luck twenty year old, struggling to survive on the streets after he was thrown out of the orphanage with no higher education or a job to fall back on. So, when he stumbles onto an ad, promising a handyman job at the Pitch Manor, one that offers him not only money but also a place to stay, Simon takes it without a second thought. But as he begins his work for David Cadwallader, the owner of the estate, things quickly begin going sideways; the house is never quiet, groaning at night as if it is alive, lamps lighting up with no one around, and most unsettling of all, a ghostly figure that seems intent on scaring Simon into an early grave.

A massive massive thank you goes out to Pal, who created incredible art for the first chapter, as well as the cobb mods for putting this entire even together. Putting this together has been a pleasure :)

Good Old-fashioned Lover Boy: A Snowbaz Au

I wrote this for the @carry-on-big-bang 2023, and I was paired with the wonderful @artsyunderstudy who made an amazing piece of art to pair with my fic!!! 

Title: Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy Status:   Teens+,  5k,  1/? chapters Tags:  Canon divergent, watford era, final 8th year, fake dating, pining, angst, fluff, falling in love

Summary:   With his final year starting off with the Mage trying to send him away and attempting to potentially kill his roommate, Simon Snow comes up with the best plan he can. Fake dating his roommate.

Except:   

“…I’m sorry, can you repeat that?” I ask.  

“Don’t make me say that again.” He mumbles, looking down at his eyes, avoiding eye contact at all costs. 

But I need confirmation. I need to know what he actually said. “No, I need you to repeat it. You see, I must have had a momentary blimp in my sanity because I thought you said that you thought we should date.” I force out a dead, humourless chuckle. 

“Fake dating.” He corrects.

At long last, @dohrnaira and I get to share what we've been working on... well at least the first few chapters.

@dohrnaira has been so fun to work with and I had a blast getting to know them and chit-chatting about anything and everything when our hours aligned.

Thank you COBB @carry-on-big-bang mods for once again making sure we stayed on task and behaved. I know it's hard and I truly appreciate it.

It's hockey art time!

I had the honor to be the artist for the amazing fic Sugar, we're going down swingin' by the wonderful @prettygoododds written for the @carry-on-big-bang!

I had a blast reading her work, doodling octopi and looking up hockey gear :) so I'm planning to keep on drawing for the following chapters!

Thanks to the mods for organizing the event, it was my first time participating and it went swimmingly (skatingly?)!

Wip Wednesday

Hello~  Yes I am back after being ia for months (curse the writing block) so I wasn’t even that active here on tumblr. It really warmed my heart to see people still tagging me like @hushed-chorus, @ileadacharmedlife, @larkral, @ic3-que3n and @artsyunderstudy! Thank you guys so so much <333 Now, as for snippets to share today I suppose I will share a couple since I have multiple wips that I am juggling. All three (yes 3) are from bigbang events I’m apart of lol

If the Mage looks into Baz being a vampire and finds out the truth what would happen? He would have to kick Baz out of Watford, right? The Mage always strives for the safety of the students. There is no way that he would be okay with a vampire around. 

If word got out about it, it would cause chaos. [They] would want—
