Aemuloime Attraction: a type of attraction characterized by copying, imitation, & mimicry. this could be copying, imitating, or mimicking others, and/or wanting to be copied, imitated, or mimicked, for entertainment, as a form of flattery and/or affection, wanting to “be” someone/wanting someone to “be” you, etc. made with alterhumans/nonhumans in mind, as well as neurodivergent individuals, but not exclusive.

this attraction may be felt entwined with or at the same time as Amoinvidian (link), Envious (link), & Offis (link) attraction, but doesn’t have to be.

what is more realistic, transitioning to the opposite sex or from ugly to pretty? because i dont identify as a man but i do identify as pretty and i need my outside to reflect that. health insurance should pay for my surgeries or they have blood on their hands. i have severe look dysphoria (which is somehow different from body dysmorphia) and its not the societal standards that are the issue but actually i was born in the wrong body. i need a nosejob and eyelid surgery and a liposuction or i will kill myself. calling me unattractive is a hate crime because i identify as an attractive person and you reminding me of the reality that im not is violating my human rights. my mental health is fine by the way

Watching Manner of Death has confirmed for me that my absolute favourite sub-genre (is it even a sub-genre? category) of BL is Queer Adult Stories.

Don't get me wrong, I loved My School President as much as the next person, Bad Buddy has my whole heart, and I would genuinely fight someone over Eighth Sense, Semantic Error, or ITSAY but...

Maybe it's because I left high school behind a long time ago and my uni years were a bit rubbish, maybe it's because a lot of mainstream queer rep still feels very young and I'm well over first loves at this point, maybe because it feels like it's showing me a future I could have one day, but something about seeing two adults in their late 20s, 30s, 40s fall in love all while dealing with work, family, life in a way I can fully relate to.... It just hits different. It makes me happy.

That’s fair lol. I’m very big on the whole “characters’ bodies should look lived in relative to their lives/occupation etc” thing and it’s very jarring that he has flawless straight teeth with zero stains when he’s smoking in almost every scene and the rest of him is…. Disheveled to say the least lol. I guess you could argue it was deliberately done to be a sort of unsettling Cheshire Cat smile that would tip off the player that he shouldn’t be trusted but I know the reality is most likely that they just didn’t care and made one tooth model that they slapped on every character hahah.

Arthur Morgan is still like the only video game character that comes to mind as having teeth that don’t look unsettlingly “perfect.” And even he just has some yellowing/a couple chipped teeth which, given his lifestyle, is believable but he still looks a lil too conventionally attractive imho.

Like I said, I still envision/write Karl with more realistic chompers. Maybe that’s bc irl I have a gap between my two front teeth and (like most people) would not survive that stupid “napkin test” those whitening toothpaste commercials like to show. Idk! But glad to know I’m not alone in wishing that there was a little more follow through with the body diversity.
