2023 Botober drawing prompts

Here they are!

I continued my tradition of using the year's state-of-the-art models to generate the prompts which means my methods were:

Ask GPT-4 to make its drawing prompts really weird, in the style of AI Weirdness Botober. Then sift through all the cutesy alliteration for the reasonably interesting stuff.

Ask GPT-4 to list Botober prompts from previous years. Instead of actually recalling them, it just claimed to do so and then produced other stuff.

Ask GPT-4 to list Botober prompts from previous years, then turn up the temperature (chaos) on the model until it allllllmost breaks.

Here are examples of some of the longer responses I got with GPT-4 and chaos setting 1.2. They wouldn't fit in the grid, but please feel free to substitute any of these for any of the prompts above.

ok so as AO3 is down I feel the need to once again rec the MoonReader+ app. sorry to my irl friends who have heard this speech before

Yes it looks like a standard eReader but it’s basically a fanpersons’s BFF. I basically download any fic I even like the look of into it and here’s what it does:

Saves the AO3 tags so you can SEARCH TAGS and allows you to edit them/create new tags

Searches the actual text. Trying to remember a fic and all you can remember is that someone make a joke about celery in it? Search ‘celery’ and BOOM there is the fic (unless you read a lot of celery fic, idk your life)

Automatically puts the fic summary as the file summary so you can browse fics with ease, and automatically saves the author name

You can create different favourite categories - I have one per fandom

You can mark fics as part of a series and actually have it display the series name and number when browsing so you know which order to read in

Downloads any covers/art the fic has and ALLOWS YOU TO ADD/EDIT YOUR OWN

Has a ton of options for text size/reading formats (I have a dark grey background which really helps with my eye condition, as white on black can make my eyes blur)

Keeps all links functional so you can hop back and review/kudos fic at the end

It has an automated TTS reading function

I once emailed the creator about something that was bugging me, HE EMAILED BACK AND FIXED IT IN THE NEXT UPDATE

hard relate on the crazy week because that has been me this past week and this is genuinely the first day i feel like i have room to breathe lmao i hope you’ve been having a gentler, slower time this week though! 🥺 right, ok, on to the questions 😂

1. just like,,, how complex of a character she is. in the show, you know she loves life, you know that she’s a glutton for experiences, you know that she wants to live more than anyone else. but when you really get down to how much she’s had to survive to get to that point—all the pain and suffering and grief—you can’t help but love her more. especially, when i had to ask myself how she must’ve felt. that… was an experience lmao

3. GRANDPOP OLIVER! i was genuinely so sad i couldn’t find a way to get him into the story, but in my head, he’s alive and kicking and prone to bursting into tears in the presence of his pseudo-granddaughter. ugh, i wanted to write that reunion 😭

4. this is gonna sound nerdy, but with ava’s age and her mom’s, i figured it was the song that would make the most sense considering what music was like at the time. I Will by The Beatles was also a contender though.

5. ouija board is a horrible idea in a huge ass compound where there’s no other person for miles and miles 😂 as for the uh other things, i’d say they’d have a conversation about it but bea would prolly be like “who knows whose bodily fluids that leather has soaked up”

6. genuinely have no idea 💀 i was like “oh they prolly need a car but also no one to do maintenance here so,,, maybe suzanne knows how” and just went with it 😂

7. yes!!! ava would teach her how and they have fun with it while they google recipes and the cultural background of each dish together. i’m thinking bea would make her waffles from scratch and ava cries into it because she used to have it with her mom 🥹

8. aikido is one. i remember doing research for that for sixth to the ninth hour lmao as for the others, imma say she’s prolly a jack of all trades type (though this is more because i don’t know which to pick. she seems like she could do it all)

9. actually i did think about this 😂 bea definitely didn’t mean to. it’s just the door gave up being a door and it didn’t close properly. she didn’t think to check because she didn’t expect the door to… not door 💀

10. a hell of a lot. so much so that bea put her phone on do not disturb as soon as ava got back with the groceries 😂

Hello - Hey! You can call me Kei or Keru. I was tagged by @lovelynim and since I really haven't said a lot about myself on here, this seems like the perfect opportunity to, no?

Chat: Tickling - Hm? What's with my obsession with tickling, you ask? Well, there's a few ways I could answer this... Well, let's just say I see it as just another form of physical affection. Just like other forms, I think it can be both intimate and non-intimate, romantic and platonic, just depends on my mood and who I'm with! But why I like it? Seeing those you love so carefree and laughing is something anyone would like, right?

Chat: Writing - I think one of my biggest flaws is that so much goes on in my brain but I have so little motivation. Putting my thoughts on paper just takes a lot out of me, y'know? But that's not to say I dislike it, I just have to take a little more time than most.

When It Rains - Ah, I love the rain so much...at least from inside. The sound of it hitting the window, the low rumble of thunder. It all just gets me in a cozy mood, but you won't see me outside.

When It Snows - It snowing?! By far the best weather in my opinion. Being bundled in clothes and blankets, the sun shining and glittering on the snow? It's so pretty! It's a shame the weather here tends to fluctuate too much for it to stay for longer than a week, though.

When the Sun Is Out - Ugh it's so bright and hot. Can't we go back inside with the air conditioning?

When the Wind is Blowing - Ah, such a nice break from the heat!

Good Morning - Ugh, just a few more minutes...

Good Afternoon - Wanna go grab lunch with me? I heard there's a new sushi place that just opened down the street! Oh? You're not a big fan of sushi? That's fine, you pick instead!

About me: Music - I find that music tells you more about a person than anything else. Just one look at their playlists and recently played songs and I can tell how their feeling and what they like in a heartbeat! Plus, music just helps me relax, so why wouldn't I like it?

Something to Share: Shyness - I've been shy pretty much all my life. What does that technically mean? Well let's just say I have a really hard time starting conversations. But if others start the conversation then I feel much more comfortable, so feel free to talk to me anytime, I don't mind!

My Troubles - It just seems like there's so much I want to do but there's so little time... I guess I'll just have to try to make the most of it!

Favorite Food - Um...I can't say I really have a favorite, but I do like meat! It can go in pretty much any savory dish, and the variety of textures and tastes you can add to it just seem never-ending! And when you combine it with pasta? Mmm, delicious!

Least Favorite Food - Listen, I have my fair share of foods I don't like too much. Raw tomatoes, raw celery, vinegar... but I just cannot for the life of me figure out why people like pickles. They're crunchy and soft, somehow sweet and sour? Yeah, no thanks.

About @chibimochii - Mochi is probably the first friend I made in the community, and I couldn't be more happy about it! I had been around in tumblr for a few years before I made my blog, but he's the first person I interacted with. He's a really nice guy and his art is always just *muah* so cute! Defiantly visit his blog, you won't be disappointed!

About @ticklystuff - I haven't interacted with him a ton, but he's a pretty cool guy! I think we really bonded most over out shared obsession with fictional men, though.

About @undercovergamer - We have pretty regular discussions over out shared love of Itto, and who could blame us? The guy is really loveable! He sends a ton of fanfics to me, which I am so grateful for!

3 ships: Pretty much any combo of poly!TOG (and especially Nile/Booker/Nicky/Joe and/or Nile/Andy/Quynh), Stede Bonnet/Izzy Hands/Edward Teach, Derek/Stiles, and just a whole mishmash of MCU related ships.

1st ship: Much like Possum, I'm pretty sure it was something from Inyusha, but boy did I go HARD for the ideas of the fellas in the animated Saiyuki Reload series going for it or the same thing for the three main protagonists in Samurai Champloo. (This is really starting to make me realize poly ships have been in my heart for a WHILE.)

Last song: "Young, Gifted, Black, In Leather" by Special Interest. (It's fantastic and I dearly want to write some BAMF Nile Freeman based on it.❤ )

Last movie: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Mutant Mayhem. (Can not recommend watching this enough, and it's got some absolutely beautiful art work and hilarious moments stuffed in there.)

Currently watching: Insatiable. (I'm feelin' a little Eh about it, but I've been yearning for a little more Debby Ryan since Night Teeth came out.)

Currently consuming: Water, some almost excessively sour cranberry juice and some of the leftover pasta and new spice mix that I used last night. (Holy Duck's Typhoon Shelter Sum Sum Seasoning will absolutely change your life if you're interested in getting your hands on it, and their chili oils also look bomb as fuck with some of the best looking packaging that I've ever seen.)

Currently craving: To watch the very funny Joy Ride again and like a peanut butter-y type of tiramisu dessert. Honestly, peanut butter on a very crisp stalk of celery or peanut butter and kaya spread on toast would probably also do it.
