Pandora sighed motioning regulsu to give you your paci in hopes you would quiet down and fall asleep.

“And den fwuttershy said-” you got cut off by regulus gently shoving your pacifier in your mouth. “Reggie!” You exclaimed offended that he made you stop in the middle of your story.

“It’s time for bed baby” Reggie replied to your attitude unfazed. “Fwuttershy wouldn’t do dat’ she even said so, she said dat her bunny was weally mean one day so she-” the night ended with then listening to your whole story and you finally fall asleep with your pacifier halfway out of your mouth.

The Marauders and their friends had taken over the common room after a pretty good day of school. It was a Monday and it had gone as well as possible for the first day of the week. James was sat in an armchair with Peter and Lily at his feet by the coffee table, Peter was desperately trying to finish some potions homework due for the morning and Lily was coaching him through it. Marlene was sat on the armchair opposite them being as unhelpful as humanly possible, pinging hairbands and balls of paper at them, distracting Peter. Mary was sat on the floor between her legs, half her hair in a french braid, Marlene was doing them for her. Sirius and Remus took up the main sofa, with Remus sat cross legged on one end and Sirius sprawled across the other, one leg hooked over the back of the headrest and his head in Remus's lap.

"Marls, I swear to Merlin," Lily says as Marlene nails Peter in the head with another hair tie. She smiles innocently, making James laugh. Lily shoots him a glare.

"Pete, mate, you've got no chance getting that done by tomorrow," Sirius says, laughing. Peter groans and Lily reaches over to swat Sirius across the head.

"Shut up Sirius," she snaps, "You're fine Pete, just the conclusion to do now,"

"Yeah, you've got this," Remus affirms, earning an eye roll from Sirius.

There's a tapping at the window and they all look up to see an owl there, a letter clutched in its beak. James gets up, taking a handful of nuts from the table with him. He takes the letter and feeds the bird as a thank you while inspecting the front of the letter. They all watch at James's face turns to a frown, a worry line forming on his forehead.

"It's for you, Pads," James says, sounding almost apologetic as he tosses the letter to the other boy, giving the owl a final head scratch before letting it set off and closing the window.

"Oh," Sirius says, sitting up and grabbing it, his face blanching a little as he turns the letter over in his hands. He looks up to Remus, fear and worry apparent on his face. Remus puts a comforting hand on his leg.

"I've got you, don't worry," he mutters. Everyone in the room tenses up as Sirius starts opening the letter, the relaxed and playful mood from earlier gone.

Sirius angles the letter away from Remus as he reads. There's a horrible silence as they all wait for him to finish and then suddenly, he let's out a small sob. He stands up, quickly wiping his eyes and sniffling before rushing to the fire and chucking the letter straight in. He watches it for a while, making sure it's all gone. He turns back to face his friends, eyes watering and bottom lip trembling, before stumbling over to the sofa and folding himself into Remus's lap, tucking his face into the taller boys neck and crying quietly.

Instantly, Remus wraps him up in his arms, one hand coming to rest on the back of his head while the other strokes his back. He rocks the smaller boy gently, shushing him, his caregiver instincts taking over.

"I've got you baby, you're here with me, yeah? And Jamie and Lily, and Pete, and Marls, and Mary. We're all here for you love," He murmurs, feeling Sirius's soft gasps against his neck. He keeps it up until the boys cries slow to a soft sniffling.

"M'sorry," comes a whisper from the crook of Remus's neck.

"Oh, baby, no," he sits back a little, holding the sides of Sirius's face, wiping his tears with his thumb and pressing a kiss to his forehead, "you have nothing to be sorry for. Nothing, okay?"

"Bu- but, Pete work! An.. an, people happy but not no more," he babbles, clearly upset that he'd disrupted the evening. Remus shushes him again, his thumb moving to run over Sirius's bottom lip that was sticking out in a pout.

"Hey, they're all good, okay love? Aren't you guys?" He turns Sirius around in his lap so that he's facing their friends, they all smile big and nod.

"Of course honey, look, we're all fine!" Lily says, reaching over, this time to grab his hand and give it a comforting squeeze. Mary crawls over, sitting by Remus's feet and rubbing Sirius's knee.

"We just want to make sure that our favourite little guy is okay," she says, going to tickle his stomach. The boy giggles through his tears and turns around to give Remus a watery smile.

"All okay," he confirms, his voice cracking a little. He seems to relax then, leaning back into Remus and snuggling into his lap, yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"Oh I think someone is sleepy," James chimes in from his chair. Sirius whines and nods a little.

"Do you wanna go up to bed baby?" Remus asks.

"Dada come?" He asks.

"Of course love, I'm not leaving you,"

"Mhm, bedtime," Remus laughs at the tired boys words, he was clearly exhausted and Sirius had always loved his sleep, even more so when he's little.

"Moony, u need help getting him up there?" James asks. Remus nods, as much as he'd like to carry his baby to bed, his hip has been hurting more than usual with the upcoming full moon and he knew that James was more than capable of helping.

"Baby, Jamie is gonna carry you up to bed, is that okay?" Remus asks. Sirius nods, holding his arms out for James who scoops him up and places him on his hip. The three of them walk to the dorm and James deposits the sleepy boy on Remus's bed.

"You got it from here?" James asks.

"Yeah, I'll come get you if I need you," Remus says, watching as James leaves before turning back to his baby.

"Dada," Sirius whines, holding his arms out for the taller boy. Remus sits on the bed and pulls Sirius into a hug.

"Let's get you changed, yeah? Get some comfy pajamas on?" Remus asks, pulling away. Sirius nods. Remus gets up, quickly finding some of Sirius's pajamas and helping his baby get changed before changing into some of his own.

"Cuddles," Sirius whines, laying down and pouting at Remus.

"I'm coming baby," Remus says, climbing under the covers and pulling Sirius close to his chest.

"Night night, love you," Sirius murmurs, cuddling into Remus's chest. Remus sighs happily.

"Love you too sweetheart, sleep well,"

For a moment, there's silence, Remus listens for the sound of Sirius's breath evening out. But instead of slowing down and relaxing, he feels wetness on his chest and soft huffs against his skin. Sirius was crying.

"Oh baby, Pads, what's wrong?" Remus asks, shuffling away a little so he can look down at the boy.

"Mean letter," he says, sounding absolutely heartbroken.

"Oh my poor little boy, I've got you," Remus pulls him close again, "nothing that letter said is true okay? Nothing she says to you is right. You are amazing baby. You are sweet and kind and so so good, I love you all the world and you deserve it," Sirius's cries get more intense, his sobs wracking through his body.

"Reggie!! Want Reggie," he wails, his voice cracking as he grabs onto Remus's shirt for dear life. Remus's heart breaks for the boy, he wishes he could get Regulus, the brothers had been working on their relationship recently, even to the point that Regulus came to find Sirius after a nightmare to sleep with him a few days prior, but Regulus didn't know about Sirius's regression and Remus wanted Sirius to have that conversation and make the decision to tell him once he has a clearer head.

"Oh I'm so sorry, you poor love. How about we go see Reggie in the morning, hm? When it's lighter and you feel a little better?" Sirius cries harder.

"She's still got him! She's still got reggie! Gotta help him. Please, please, gotta help him," Sirius babbles, absolutely frantic, "need to help him, he's just little, just a baby, not a adult, gotta save him!" He sobs, his words hardly distinguishable through his huge gasps and shaky voice. Remus runs a hand through the other boy's hair, not fully knowing what to do at that moment. Sirius could get worked up about Regulus on a good day, let alone after being forced into such a vulnerable space because of his mother's letter. He decides on just comforting the boy until he falls asleep, then they can talk more in the morning.

"I know love, I know, we'll help Reggie, don't worry. We helped you didn't we? And you know Effie will be happy to have him, he'll be safe and sound. But baby, you aren't an adult either, and especially not right now, right now you're my little boy and I've got you. You don't have to worry about this until the morning, we'll go talk to Reggie and we can write to Effie to ask for help, hm? Reggie will be all safe. But right now what you need to do is get some sleep, okay love?" Remus says, running his hand up and down the other boy's back. He keeps up the comforting words until Sirius's cries slow down.

Sirius pulls away a bit, looking up at Remus and sniffling.

"Talk to Reggie tomorrow?" He asks, his voice sounding so so broken.

"Of course baby," Remus replies.

"And write Effie?" He asks.

"Mhm, we'll get him out of there," Remus says, hoping that Sirius will take that because he really doesn't know what he'll do if he keeps crying for his brother.

There's a long silence as Sirius mulls this over in his head, quiet tears still streaming from his eyes. Then he looks back up at Remus.

"Thank you, dada," he says, smiling wetly.

"No problem baby, I've got you," Remus replies.

Sirius moves forward to snuggle back up to the taller boys chest, Remus wraps his arms around him and smiles, relieved as he watches his eyes close.

"Goodnight love, get some sleep," he says. Sirius sighs contentedly.

"Night night," he murmurs, feeling happy and safe in the circle of Remus's arms.

Zi-O 25 and 26: Oh boy is this arc a doozy!

So, over in Black Woz’s Storytime vault? That clock just advanced again.

Regulus is unseasonably bright… it’s early. Just like the Dai Mazines.

The Day of Oma is drawing near… and it seems to be closer than it would have been if the timeline wasn’t being mucked around with.

Hn. We closed the last episode with Swartz pulling out the Another Zi-O watch. And now we have… Another OOO? What are you doing here?

And why are you recreating the Another Build watch from that poor, abused, basketball player?

And using it?

And becoming Another Build?

… So Another Zi-O is, by his nature of being an Another Rider, a bootleg. Meaning he’s ripping off Zi-O’s ability to copy other riders powers.

… It’s a good thing that Tsukasa made his own watch somehow, because if we had to deal with an Another Decade? That would be a nightmare. (Will be a nightmare? There’s no saying what this season’s going to do.)

Black Woz: “Okay, I thought we’d be better off with Geiz and Tsukuyomi being around you, but I just realized that it means I have to actually let you know things are going down, without being cagey about it, so. Whoops.”

We cut to the apartment where the former Another Ex-Aid lives. In an eerie synchronicity with his initial creation, he’s being wheeled into an ambulance, as unconscious as the former Another Build.

‘Another Build’ is defeated, revealing ‘Another Ex-Aid’, and Black Woz realizes that they can’t win this right now.

Whoever this man is, the one who was just Another Build/Ex-Aid? Well, aside from presumably really being Another Zi-O, he also seems to know Sougo. By his full name. No, that’s not ominous at all.

!!! We’ve finally got a location for where those stairs from Episodes 2 and 21 are! They lead down from a shrine, which appears to be where Geiz and Tsukuyomi are currently staying. And apparently there’s an Another Woz? I think you messed up your translation there, O-T. I think that you might have meant ‘Another OOO’.

(Yeah, that’s an error on O-T’s part. I’m starting to use their MKVs at this point, instead of the 720’s, so they didn’t catch that until after that was encoded.)

Geiz goes to stop the casualties from piling up, but Tsukuyomi doesn’t seem to think that he’ll be able to do what he has to if he encounters Sougo. Doesn’t think that he’ll be able to defeat Zi-O. She says that, specifically: he’d encounter Sougo, but have to defeat Zi-O.

And I’ve noticed that Geiz still hasn’t used Sougo’s name… even in the last arc, he sort of just… dodged referring to Sougo by any name.

That is some poor green-screening to put Sougo against the night sky, there. Granted, it’s one of his dream sequences, so that doesn’t help matters.

A dream sequence with Regulus shining brightly overhead, as Zi-O II has a very one-sided fight against Rider!Geiz.

(Have we found where our ‘into the drink’ battle is going to take place?)

Sougo’s not wrong when he says that the fight was ‘peaceful’, though, is he? It seemed a little more like they were putting on an act than, say, whatever The Day of Oma is actually supposed to be.

Although, the first thing it reminded me of was the Eiji vs Ankh fight towards the end of OOO… remember? When Eiji was quickly losing himself to PuToTyra, and Ankh, in one of his rare Full Greeed appearances, was essentially trying to bring him back?

A purple rider, at risk of becoming his own enemy, fighting a red ally-of-convenience turned friend, huh?

… D’ya think they were trying to get at least some people to draw that apparel – er, parallel, by using Another OOO specifically as the first copy to show up in the episode?

Ohhh. Another Fourze/Faiz is working at an observatory now. That’s so fitting… especially since it lets us know that other people are noticing the strange happenings in the night sky. And that Another Riders don’t remember being Another Riders, either, much like the Real Riders.

(Which I’m still basically praying isn’t actually true, mind you, but regardless. Not actually the topic at hand. Yet.)

Man, the CG in this episode so far is not good! There’s the blatant haloing around Sougo in that dream sequence, around Geiz in his transformation here, and base form Zi-O was painfully obviously CG when he was putting on the Build Armor earlier.

Sougo: “Geiz, wait, the finisher won’t work, he’s not actually-”

Geiz: “Shut up and give me the watch!”

Poor communication gets people knocked out of their transformations.

White Woz’s attacks are as brutal as ever – including somehow using Kikai’s powers to make satellite dishes fire lasers at ‘Another Ex-Aid.’ His battle theme does not help in the slightest. It’s creepy and ominous and I always get nervous when it plays.

Kakogawa Hiryuu. He definitely knows Sougo from somewhere, but the question is where?

Or, maybe that’s not the question. Because while he says that he and Sougo are fated to cross paths over and over… Sougo doesn’t recognize him.

Sougo doesn’t seem to be able to keep Hiryuu, as a person, in his mind as soon as he leaves the area.

Not if his reaction when Geiz asks if Sougo knows who he is is any indication.

“Uh, who?”

Hm. The Geiz Revive form is designed to defeat ‘the overlord.’ It won’t awaken unless Geiz shows the will to do that.

…Can that refer to just ‘defeat Oma Zi-O, the evil ruler’, or does it have to refer to ‘defeat Kamen Rider Zi-O, civilian alias Tokiwa Sougo’?

Aw, Another Wizard is performing magic still, in the fixed timeline! Good for him! I mean, less good than usual, since Hiryuu’s on his way, but still!

GASP.

Uncle Junichiro Tokiwa is going to tell us the forbidden Sougo Backstory!

(I’m so pumped about this I actually bothered to look up his name for once.)

Sougo’s been living with his uncle for ten years, since 2009. His parents are ‘no longer with us.’

The piano version of Over Quartzer just started up again.

At the magic restaurant, Sougo admits that he’s kind of looking forward to the Another Rider appearing, because he might get to see Geiz and Tsukuyomi again. He’s lonely, and he knows that’s an awful way to think. Black Woz is encouraging of thinking that way though.

Sougo is the only one on his own side. Everyone else has an agenda for or against him.

There was a bus accident in 2009, and the newspaper article that Tsukuyomi pulls up mentions something about ‘unknown number of families’ being missing. Sougo and Hiryuu were the survivors. Going into a quick ‘camera based google translate’ look at the article… Looks like there was a large bus fire, something about a tunnel, black smoke obscuring everything, geez, this is brutal.

The piano version of Over Quartzer stopped when the shot changed from ‘Geiz and Tsukuyomi talking’ to a shot showing the article.

Oooh, the ‘tense atmosphere’ music noticeably cut out immediately after White Woz asked Geiz what they were going to do. With a discordant beat and everything. There was a silent shot of Geiz, and then the scene changed to Sougo and Black Woz in the restaurant.

Welp, Hiryuu’s after Another Wizard, and might have gotten his powers? Or at least a portion of them. He seems disappointed, but not surprised that Sougo doesn’t remember him. He’s already got Another Gaim, as well.

So that accounts for Build, Ex-Aid, Faiz, Wizard, OOO, and Gaim. Notably, we only saw the Faiz watch appear, not Fourze. That leaves Fourze (maybe), Ghost, and Ryuga completely unaccounted for. ...Ryuga’s a bit tricky, sir, I don’t think that’s a ‘remnant of power’ that you’ll be able to get your hands on.

Toei: “Look, we had to cut down the budget for the transformations this week, since we’ve had just SO MANY in this one episode.”

(AKA, the Woz and Geiz transformations are both poorly greenscreened.)

OKAY THEN. The Quiz finisher failed explosively, leading to ‘Another Gaim’… dissolving into four black, smoky, parka ghosts, which fuse into ‘Another Ghost’. So that leaves Fourze and Ryuga… and possibly the three future riders, but I can’t be sure there.

I still really like Another Ghost’s appearance.

OOF. ‘Another Ghost’ became… well, Another Zi-O by placing his personal Another Watch near where Ghost’s driver would have read an Eyecon… at which point he becomes Another Zi-O, with a barely corrupted version of the Ziku Driver. His watch is still visible. Just like Actual Zi-O’s.

The teeth are creepy, as is the fact his face looks like it’s showing muscles. But what’s most unsettling is that I don’t see the lenses/dials/gadgety bits that, thus far, each and every single Another Rider has had as eyes.

He’s the closest we’ve had to the real thing, actually. And, true to the Zi-O design labeling everything? He’s got 2019 written three times. One on his right eye, one in the center of his chest, and one on his belt. You know, where the real Zi-O has it. (The name Zi-O is on his right eye, for the record.)

Heure sees the two Zi-O’s about to face off… and seems to be booking it the heck out of there. Don’t blame ya, kid, run! Before Swartz and Hora use you again!

Nope, wait, never mind, he’s running straight to them. (Please develop some self preservation instincts. You may be a slightly sadistic little punk, but I’d prefer you not have to die.)

Ohhh. That ‘getting the others out of the ring’ theory I had for Swartz’s motive wasn’t quite right, but the ‘choosing the new king’ motive he gave wasn’t quite true, either.

It looks like he’s long since picked his horse for the race – Kakogawa Hiryuu, alias Another Zi-O, alias “The one to unite all Another Riders.”

He can’t take powers that didn’t exist, after all. What better way to create a Dark counter to someone who uses his predecessors powers… than to make someone who does the exact same thing?

Heure and Hora didn’t know that was the plan.

Geez, Another Zi-O has the ‘label ALL the things’ aesthetic down to a tee. ‘2019’ is on his left shoulder blade, and ‘Zi-O’ is on his right. And the year is on his forehead, where for Zi-O it has ‘Kamen.’

And, uh, Sougo, buddy. I don’t think you’ve thought through this ‘I can see your future’ announcement? I mean, nobody else has been able to do the same before now, but maybe don’t let people know you’re predicting their movements? Just as a general rule?

Especially when they’re copping your skillset?

But! As a bit of fodder for ‘power copying doesn’t actually work the way they’ve been told’?

We have Another Zi-O right here, and Regular Zi-O isn’t having any of the issues that Build, Cross-z, and Ex-Aid did with regards to sparking and losing their transformation while fighting their duplicates.

Oooh, but we do have it happening to his watch in the closing screen. It goes from Ex-Aid and Geiz on the sides, and Zi-O in the center… to the glitching effect of a rider losing their powers happening to the Zi-O watch, replacing it with the Another Zi-O version.

SPOOKY.

… ON TO EPISODE 26!!!

...Black Woz? Why do you have a copy of the Orange Geiz Revive armor in your storytime vault? (The clock continues advancing visibly)

Oh. Wow. Sougo got knocked out of his transformation. By a copy of his own finisher, and the person who dealt it is nowhere to be found.

White Woz continues to be awful… “The Revive watch not activating is all the proof I need that you’ve lost the will to fight. You’d better hurry and find it… how else could you face Tsukuyomi again?”

(The OP still refuses to give music spoilers, but I get the feeling I’m going to be hearing “Future Soldier” toward the end of this episode.)

(Spoiler alert from 8:30 am Sam to 7 am Sam: You did not get to hear “Future Soldier.”)

Hm. While Sougo’s propped himself up on the lamppost, incredibly passed out, he has the ‘premonition’ of that fight on the beach again. It seems like more of an actual fight this time… but the biggest difference is that the first time hew as there, the sky was crystal clear. This time, there’s a thin cloud cover forming over the stars… including Regulus.

The Time Jackers are watching while Tsukuyomi heads to April 24, 2009. But, um, completely off topic question… Are those three just, like, renting a penthouse apartment? Because I’m starting to get the impression they live there, with the chairs and such on this roof, and Hora and Swartz relaxing inside last episode.

See? SEE?! Heure’s with me! Swartz hasn’t told them everything. Maybe hasn’t told them anything.

He has a whole other motive here… but what is it?

But why does Black Woz recognize Hiryuu’s name?

OH NO, IT’S BABBY SOUGO IN DINOSAUR PAJAMAS.

Oh… Jeez, the bus accident happened literally days before his 9th birthday. The accident is April 24th, and he was born April 28th. (Thanks, episode one! Now we have ~two~ main Neo-Heisei riders with exact canonical birthdays!)

Oh, this is incredibly painful to watch. Junichiro said he’d take Sougo in pretty much immediately, and Sougo came out of that accident a lot better off than Hiryuu did.

(Yeah, fine, Uncle Junichiro’s earned his name. I still don’t entirely trust him, but I’ll start using his name.)

The Piano version of Over Quartzer starts up when 8!Sougo says his parents are dead… and Hiryuu’s looking out his hospital room at the whole conversation. The part that would be the lyrics kicks in when the nurse starts talking to a fuming Hiyruu. It continues through to when Geiz and Tusukyomi hang up the phone from updating each other.

I just like that Tsukuyomi parked her Time Mazine in a regular garage. That’s just one of those little touches that’s really cute.

On the less cute, more worrying side… we didn’t see her reactions to Geiz saying he couldn’t use the Geiz Revive watch.

Geiz, justifiably, doesn’t tell the clearly anxious, clearly scared Heure where Tsukuyomi went. That’s fair – Hora played everyone like a fiddle just last arc… including Heure.

I really do think that Heure wants out… but I was thinking the same about Hora, so, maybe he doesn’t? But I don’t think he’s nearly as good of a liar as she is, so this is more likely to be real concern. Heure doesn’t know all of the details, but he wants to.

He’s sick of all of the misdirection.

Ohhh. Hayase quite Magic Cafe Aqua, and went to go see Magic House… the theatre he used to work at. The one he became Another Wizard to save. And now he’s starting to remember his days as Another Wizard.

(Also, it’s really sad to see this place abandoned like it is now.)

Another Wizard… is now accounted for.

Okay, so Hiryuu is flat out planning to kill Sougo. That’s… ‘nice.’ Even ‘nicer’ is his reason.

They were both on the bus – apparently a field trip, judging by the number of small children in the other seats. They were sitting near each other. “A woman in white shouted his name, and pulled the trigger.” The visuals are a Faiz Phone X, a white sleeve, and Tsukuyomi’s voice shouting ‘Sougo’. The hand holding the phone has nail polish, though… does Tsukuyomi wear nail polish? It’s a dark color…

Him telling Sougo about this is intercut with Geiz traveling to 2009. “What if it wasn’t an accident?”

What if it was a pre-emptive assassination attempt?

He’s no stranger to those, after all.

Geiz pulls up along the wildy swerving bus… and Tsukuyomi is on it. Holding a Faiz Phone X, yelling Sougo’s name… and pulling the trigger. The back corner of the bus is on fire as it enters the tunnel.

… Geiz doesn’t catch up before the bus seemingly hits the wall and explodes.

… there were two survivors of the bus accident. Two eight-year-old boys.

There was no mention in the article of an 18-year-old woman.

I think we’ve just found Geiz’s driving force to use Geiz Revive.

How does he interrupt the Zi-O vs Zi-O battle? A flying punch to Another Zi-O’s shoulder. Which stops him from attacking a downed (albeit still transformed) Zi-O II. But this is while Geiz isn’t transformed.

That punch had the ‘superpower force’ effect, too. The one that we usually only see when the two boys are suited up… or that one time, after Quiz, when they were finally explaining exactly (approximately) what the Day of Oma is, with the chess metaphor.

Oooh, those studded shoulderpads left Geiz’s knuckles bloody. Ick.

A Woz is a Woz, and they both just love to soliloquize their announcements. IWAE.

Geiz Revive Fury is scary. A tranquil rage, and he just used a buzzsaw (!) to punch Another Zi-O through at least four (!!) stacks of construction materials – the heavy cement kind. (!!!)

Swartz gets his candidate out of the way of another blast from that buzzsaw. “We’ll see you on the Day of Oma.”

So now, it’s Geiz Revive versus Zi-O II.

Geiz: “I’m going to beat you. That’s the future we’re heading towards.”

Sougo: “...Okay.”

Geiz Revive Fury is the Mighty Glacier trope in action – High offense, High defense, low speed.

Geiz Revive Typhoon, on the other hand… High offense, ludicrous speed, and I can’t tell what his defense is, but it doesn’t really matter if you can’t see him long enough to hit him. Could be Fragile Speedster meets Glass Cannon, or it could be Lighting Bruiser, but without knowing how well Typhoon can take a hit, I can’t say.

So, while Sougo’s getting his ass handed to him by a rapidly form-switching Geiz, Black Woz is off investigating the accident… by having sent everyone in the bus companies office to dreamland, so he can get into their records.

Clever. I like it.

Casual reminder that the Wizard arc told us that Woz has a Faiz Phone X as well… and. Wait. Those things are a stun gun. They knock people out. When Tsukuyomi was using hers to stop Another Build’s attacks, it paused them. But the first time we saw her use it?

Was against Ryuuga, Sento, and Sougo in Cafe nascita. As a knock-out gun. They all fell asleep.

Unless that thing has other settings that we haven’t seen… it shouldn’t be able to blow up the end of a bus.

That news article… looking again, the google translation isn’t great, but I think it’s trying to say that the two kids were the only ones who were found.

Why do I mention that? Because Woz goes straight to the passenger list. Kakogawa Hiryuu and his parents are there, as expected… and… Well then. So is one Kadoya Tsukasa.

2009 was his year, too, after all.

And how exactly does he travel between worlds? He makes his own portals, which look like walls.

After all, nobody could see anything through the smoke covering the tunnel, including Geiz and the television audience at home.

Decade, you tricky little bastard.

"Reggie!" James shouts in his usual cheerful manner, slinging an arm around the younger Black brother as he spots him in the hallway, "How's my favourite Slytherin doing?" He asks. James and Regulus had gotten very close over the last year, Regulus had eventually followed his brother out of Grimmauld Place and straight into the welcoming arms of the Potters. Of course that included James, who was like the sun to Regulus, always filling him up with light. James had naturally taken on the role of Regulus's caregiver, he was naturally inclined to take care of the people around him. The first time Regulus has regressed and stumbled crying through the house to find James and Sirius, James had found him and held him and kept him safe. So the next time it happened Regulus went to him again... and the next time, and the next time and every time after that. Their relationship quickly progressed from platonic to romantic (outside of Regulus's headspace of course) and after a brief period of horror from Sirius ("James you brotherfucker!!") The pair were accepted by pretty much everyone with ease.

"I'm fine," Regulus says, it had been a long day and he really wasn't feeling up to going back to his dorm, the older kids hated him ever since he'd left his parents house. James frowns at his tone.

"Are you really or are you just saying that for my benefit?" He asks, raising his eyebrows. Regulus sighs, looking up at James with tired eyes. He pouts.

"Can I come to the Gryffindor common room for a bit?" He asks. James face breaks into a smile.

"Of course you can Reg," he says, "do you need to...?" He doesnt need to finish for Regulus to get it.

"Maybe, but later, the older kids were being dicks again," he says. James frowns again, it was well known at this point that the older slytherins had taken to harassing Regulus in the halls when he was alone, so much so that the Gryffindor's take turns walking him places when they can.

"Okay," James says, his arm slipping down to link with Regulus's, leading him back to where the other Marauders were waiting, "We've got a visitor," he announces to the other three. Sirius grins.

"Brilliant! I've missed you too much Reggie, it's been painful," Regulus laughs and rolls his eyes.

"I saw you at lunch," he says.

"Far too long," Sirius says with his usual dramatic flair that sends the other boy's laughing too.

"Come on you lot," Remus cuts in, "Let's be getting back, the girls will wonder where we are,"

"I think they've lost hope in us Moony, they'll think we're doing something we aren't supposed to, as always," Peter says.

"Well they'll wonder where I am," Remus says with that signature smirk that has Sirius swooning while James hits Remus's shoulder.

"Rude! They love us," he says incredulously. Remus rolls his eyes.

"Siruis, can you stop with the goo goo eyes, I'm going to be sick," Regulus says, looking at Sirius's lovesick expression with disgust. Sirius turns to him, sticking out his tongue.

"Payback for every time I have to see you thirst over my best mate," he says. Regulus flushes red and James takes the opportunity to put his arm around his shoulders again, grinning teasingly.

"Reg, you've gone all red, do you have a temperature?" James says, innocently, knowing full well that he's being a dick. He glances around for a moment, deeming the coast clear he leans in and gives Regulus a peck.

"Oh for fucks sake," Sirius groans, leaning into Remus as if he's just been fatally wounded, "could you wait until I'm not around to suck faces with my baby brother?" He groans from Remus's chest.

"Oh fuck off Pads, that was as PG as kisses get," James says.

"You're just using it as an excuse to cuddle up to Remus," Regulus says. Both the boys flush red and Sirius pushes away from Remus, turning to flip Regulus off.

They continue their playful teasing as they walk up to the common room, James's hand not leaving Regulus's until they reach the portrait hole, where he helps him step in.

Regulus was determined to hold of his regression for as long as possible, he liked hanging out with the older Gryffindor's when he was big and wanted to stay for as long as possible. But being looked after, even in a small capacity, was really making things difficult.

"Reggie?" James questions, "are you okay?" Regulus nods absentmindedly, humming a confirmation, "Alright, let me know if you need anything," he says, kissing the boys cheek as he drags him to sit on an armchair in the common room.

Regulus floats in a bit of an in-between space as they hang out together, leaning against James contentedly as the Gryffindor's around him chat to each other. James seems to catch on to Regulus's drifting headspace and after a while he nudges him.

"Hey Reg, do you want to go on a walk?" He asks. Regulus's eyes light up at the thought of spending time with his caregiver and he nods happily. James turns to the group, "I'm gonna take Reggie on a walk, we'll be back later," He says. Sirius bounds over, giving Regulus a kiss on the head and a hug.

"Stay with Jamie, yeah?" He says, smoothing down his brothers hair. Regulus nods.

"Mhm, stay with Jaime," he parrots.

They say a quick bye to the rest of the group before heading back out the portrait hole.

Walks like these had become somewhat of a thing between the two boys, no matter what headspace Regulus was in. They make their way down to the great lake, walking around the path surrounding with their hands interlinked, chatting a little.

"Are you slipping?" James asks. Regulus thinks for a minute.

"No, I nearly was but I think it's cleared a bit," he explains. James nods.

Suddenly there's a rustling from behind them and both boys whip around to see people stood behind them.

There was three Slytherins stood looking personally offended just at the sight of the two boys. Malfoy and Snape were at the front, wands already out, while Narcissa hung back a bit, glancing between the two boys.

"Can we help you?" James asks, stepping in front of Regulus slightly.

"Just going for a walk," Malfoy answers, "that's allowed isn't it?" James raises an eyebrow, "Oh don't flatter yourself, what would we want with a couple blood traitors?" Regulus could think of plenty of things.

"Right, well we're heading back now," James says, grabbing Regulus's wrist and trying to pull him past the two boys. Malfoy stops him with a hand on the shoulder.

"Don't let us ruin your night," he says. Snape takes a step towards Regulus and James blocks him with his body.

"Jumpy, Potter," He drawls, peering around James to sneer at the younger boy. Regulus had frozen in place, resisting the urge to clutch James's arm, suddenly the idea of showing any form of weakness felt sickening. The voice of his mother rings in his head.

"You are weak! Disgusting! Get up!"

James steps closer to Snape, sheilding Regulus from his view again.

"Leave us alone," he says, reaching back to give Regulus's arm a reassuring squeeze. Malfoys eyes zero in on the small interaction and he scoffs.

"Can baby Black not look after himself?" He spits. James eyes flash angrily, attempting to shoulder past the two.

"Okay, we're going now," he says. Snape goes to grab Regulus, who whimpers and flinched away, but Narcissa clears her throat.

"Let them go" she says, voice clear and strong. Malfoy looks at her, confused, but something in her expression must make hom fold because he turns to Snape and nods.

"Love has made you weak," Snape hisses, begrudgingly letting go of Regulus and stepping aside.

James wastes no time, grabbing Regulus's arm and speed walking away from them, nodding to Narcissa as they pass, a brief moment of understanding passing between them before the two boys disappear back into the castle.

James stops in the entrance, turning to look at Regulus.

The boy looks wrecked, tears streaming down his face, eyes wide in shock and fear. James immediately knows that Regulus was reliving some none too pleasant memories.

"Are you okay baby?" He asks. Regulus whimpers, headspace immediately plummeting after teetering on edge, "How's about we go up to bed?" James asks. Regulus nods, reaching his arms forward and making a grabbing motion.

"Up," he whines.

Snape and Malfoy were bad enough but the sight of Narcissa had thrown Regulus right back to that house, to his mother, to the unspeakable things that happened to him and his brother. Regulus needed comfort right now. James smiles and scoops his baby up and Regulus immediately tucks himself into his caregivers neck, immediately soothed by the physical contact.

"I've got you baby," James murmurs, walking up to the common room.

They climb through the portrait hole and James gives a quick gesture to the boy clinging to him and that's all the explanation their friends need, letting them go up to bed without another word.

"Baby boy," he gently puts the boy down on the bed, feeling a tug on his heart as Regulus makes a noise of protest, "I know, I know, I'll be right back, I'm just getting you some clothes," he murmurs, Regulus pouts but nods. James quickly rushes to his drawers, pulling out a soft jumper and some shorts before going back to his baby.

"Daddy," Regulus mutters, grabbing hold of James shirt and tugging.

"I know baby, let's just get you changed and then Daddy will come cuddle," he says, making quick work of helping him change before pulling off his own shirt and climbing into bed, arranging them so that Reggie is layed comfortably on James's chest.

"M'sorry" Regulus murmurs. James was used to this, Regulus tended to feel like a burden whenever he regressed, it was rare that he slipped without apologising at least once.

James moves his hand to run through Reggie's hair, looking down at him.

"None of that baby, you have nothing to be sorry for. This helps me too, remember?" He says. Reggie screws up his nose adorably if James does say so himself as he thinks, before huffing and nodding a little.

James smiles and pulls Regulus a little closer, running his hand up and down his back to comfort him as he plays with the younger boys hair. Regulus buries his face in James's chest and makes a content little noise in the back of his throat. James thinks that if he were a cat he'd be purring.

He wants to talk to Reg about what happened earlier but he's found that Regulus isn't great at talking when he's little, that's something for him and big Reggie to talk about, so instead he watches as Regulus's eyes slip closed, his breathing slowly evening out into slow steady breaths.

Only once he's sure that Regulus is sleeping does he let his own eyes close.

“Look at da squirrel Reggie!” James squealed chasing after it. Reggie glanced over far too interested in a beetle that he found on a flower. They were currently playing in the garden while you had some papers to sign. You bought regulus a little bug catcher kit when you saw how interested he was in them.

They loved the garden the plants, the flowers, the animals, the sun, and especially playing in the garden. You were finally done with all the paper signing and decided to go to the garden where you were sure they would be. “Hi my loves what are you two doing?” You asked chuckling at how they didn’t recognize your presence.

“Mama!” They both Chorused. “Hi my little butterfly what’s Reggie doing?” You asked James softly petting his hair while looking at their other little. “Dunno he saw a pweety bug wif a Mirror!” James said looking at regulus grinning. You walked slowly over to regulus making sure not to make a single noise.

Regulus squealed when he felt you effortlessly pick him up from the ground. “Mama was looking at the beetle!” Regulus whined giggling at your antics. “M sorry my little baby” you said with a soft laugh. “Mama carry me toooo!” James pouted. Luckily you could, and hoisted James up with one arm.

“Cmon it’s time to eat then it’s time to take a nap” you said placing a kiss on each of their foreheads. “Mamas strong!” Reggie said snuggling into the left side of your neck. “Duh she fights bad guys all the time!” James said matter of factly while putting his head on your shoulder.

This was a quick short story since the idea popped in my mind I hope y’all like it! I’m currently writing down Ideas for littleregulus and James<3 don’t be afraid to request anything :)

“At least I got a 100% on my test” Evan teased. They were both walking back to the common room from potions class. Evan didn’t mean any harm to his light hearted jokes, especially since he was slowly slipping. Little did they know you were around the corner listening to their conversation.

You walked out of the corner causing regulus to perk up at your figure. “I don’t think your daddy will be quite impressed at you teasing Reggie Evan” you said with a raised eyebrow and causing Evan eyes to widen. “Was just joking” Evan pouted. “I know you were Evan. Now go, your daddy’s waiting for you in his dorm little one” you said dismissing him.

“You didn’t have to do that” regulus mumbled blushing crimson. “I know baby just get mad when people make my baby upset” you said simply. “Don’t tell Barty Evan didn’t mean it” regulus said holding your hand. You chuckled and planted a kiss on his cheek before walking into the common room.

Five minutes later regulus was on top of you wrapped in a blanket in the common room. He whined hiding his face in your shoulder. “Sowwy I failed my test mommy didn mean to” regulus apologized softly. “It’s alright love you can retake it I’m not mad at you” you reassured him. He smiled warmly at your words listening to his friends conversation. “Your such a good boy for me baby” you praised.

His heart fluttered at the praise he was receiving. You wrapped your arms around his waist causing him to giggle as he felt butterflies forming in his stomach. You grinned placing a kiss on his cheek.
