All these cute drawings of Mio are great and all, but there's a severe lack of what I think is one of her most important traits: Mio, canonically, is less a kitten and more a fucking feral tiger.
Tumblr media
See that? She can run the hundred metri in seven seconds. You know who else can do that? FUCKING NOBODY, THAT'S WHO. Usain Bolt? Fastest person on Earth? Ever heard of him?
Tumblr media
Yeah, that's right. Mio's so fast that she finishes a whole 2.5 seconds ahead of him. She has time to grab a sandwich and a glass of Wotah whilst he huffs and puffs his way over the finish line.
Her character model has visible abs!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This girl is weapon-grade!
Speaking of weapons, how about them?
Tumblr media
Indeed, Mio's weapon of choice is literally a DOUBLE SPINNING EDGE. It doesn't get more badass than that.
Need more convincing? Well, on the topic of weapons, her cute little paws: What's that, you say? She's strong enough to make an interlinked Moebius duo fly through the air?
Tumblr media
That's liftoff, baby! She hits with the force of ten ferronises, and her bare-knuckle strike sends enemies flying. Do you understand just WHAT THE FUCK THAT MEANS??
Sure, Melia can Break and Topple in XB1. Big whoop. Mio can wombo combo all by her goddamn self.
YOU'RE fawning and simping over your cutesy little catgirl Mio-Mio, while I'M paying for her knuckle tattoos that say Break, Topple, Launch, and Smash.
Tumblr media
And here, she boops Noah on the forehead with those paws of war, but look again!
Tumblr media
Do you see any contact? Of course not! Because a boop from Mio would cave in his fucking skull. Headshot. So, out of love for her boytoy, she stops a cetri short of murdering him.
Now THATS what I call control!
Virgin N, Chad Noah? I don't think so. N is a worm, insignificant even to the Virgin Noah,  and Mio is the Chaddest of them all. "The freedom to choose?" Thats right: Mio HAS the strap, she simply CHOOSES not to use it.
Tumblr media
This is the face of a cocky, stone-cold killer. She could've one-shot N if she wasn't held back by a pesky little thing called "weaponry".
All this to say, Mio is a feral animal and there should be more art depicting her as such (:

pearl splatoon is so badass and cool. i keep thinking how initially her design was met with confusion, ridicule and at worst disgust. but splatoon and its realest fans kept believing in her to the very end and made sure you WILL fucking understand that pearl, the character with a "bad" design because "too much forehead not fem enough for not having eyelashes" or whatever, is one of the chaddest most overpowered girldudes in this franchise who gets infinite pussy even if she still rides a bike with training wheels. pearl is cool as fuck

Human Transformations!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not much of a series it was very short-lived, basically one day i had the idea of exploring how would other aliens translate to human on the omnitrix. Essentially a gijinka but with somewhat strict rules. You can probably guess who is who
I always liked to imagine tini as a really young girl in tetramand years because 1. it makes her flirting with ben less creepy (ignore synaptak he doesnt exist. either that or hes also like 10 years old you choose which) 2. i refuse to believe that an adult tetramand woman would be any stronger than a young tetramand boy even if the omnitrix makes him the peakest strongest chaddest 10 year old muscle boy out there
Also alot of people told me that making Myaxx an old humanlady was a weird decision but idk ive always seen her as a sort of old cranky hag yk what i mean? This probably doesnt paint me in a very normal light considering how i always talk about how how myaxx is also im sorry myaxx i wanted to give you a beard like you deserve but im too weak
Tumblr media
This one im most proud of!! I like to imagine that the prototype omnitrix will get extremely confused by cyborgs if theyre advanced enough, causing the transformation to be very, to use a scientific term, fucked
If i were to make an AU off of this whole miniseries of designs it would be one where vilgax is successful in aquiring the omnitrix but it ends up being very corrupted and screwed up like this, maybe he ends up being on the run from the plumbers and he goes on adventures as he wreaks havoc on earth

Hiatus ended!
Hey everyone, sorry we haven't posted our dnd stories in months! There's been a lot going on but basically it got too hard to for the same person who takes quotes to also be one of our current DMs and the whole thing got too overwhelming.
We are only going to be posting quotes from our TTC sessions for now, as the problem came from DM Tati trying to take quotes while running GSP sessions. Sorry to those who enjoyed the shenanigans of Diardi, Gregor, Harriet, Hesty, Hunter, WA and Winnifred, but you'll just have to imagine how their story continues.
We have still been playing all this time, so instead of trying to catch up with quotes we'll summarize Travelling Trauma Centre's adventures in the intervening months (under cut) and then pick up at our current point!
What has TTC been up to since we last posted?
We finished the dungeon The Court of the Crimson King, eventually destroying all but one of the automaton bosses including the Crimson King and his mecha red dragon (Ashiok died in that fight by being completely fucking bisected, but we brought her back to life). We made a truce with the Purple Piper, who without his King to give orders had no further desire for conquest, and went on to hire him and his remaining half dozen automata to guard our manor in Suda (important later) while he proves himself trustworthy.
We then made our way to a town where the son of the mayor kept being kidnapped and ransomed, financially ruining the mayor. We discovered it was a long-term scam wherein the mayor's son had been replaced by a changeling (the real son was living happily with the changeling clan!) and kept getting kidnapped on purpose, but in a twist the 'son' had grown fond of the mayor and wanted to stop robbing him. We brokered a deal between the factions that benefitted everyone (except the changeling leader who went to jail) and convinced the changelings to find more honest work.
From there we travelled up the nearby mountain where there was a dragon we'd been meaning to deal with, Nimble Claws. We had previously encountered a green dragon called The Rotten who had been injured when the younger blue took over his territory. By all accounts life in the mountain had been worse for pretty much everyone since. Unfortunately Nimble Claws had also moved in her elder dragon boyfriend since claiming the territory so we had a lot of dragon on our hands. The Rotten met us there and we managed to sneak all the way into the lair and challenge the boyfriend Cosnemra (chaddest dragon to ever chad) to a duel. We eventually killed Cosnemra and took his skull, whereupon The Rotten (taking Cosnemra's name) decided that instead of killing Nimble Claws and reclaiming his territory would rather move in with her and her egg, allowing her to continue her tyranny. We left with intent to level up and come back to wipe them both out.
We knew peace in Suda for a short while before we were woken in the night by the sounds of fighting. Our brand new automaton guards were fending off a hit squad of kuo'toa, and beyond our garden the city was in flames. We spent a frantic night beating back the kuo-toa hordes and eventually made it to the palace in time to prevent the monsters making it to the emperor (though a lot of people died that night). It turned out the one pulling the strings was... Larissa Firespit, the dragonborn lich we'd already killed twice but whose phylactery we'd failed to destroy before she spawned a third time. Unfortunately with the kuo'toa on her side she was on the cusp of ascending to godhood, and she was intent on finishing us off for good this time. We stole a couple hours of sleep and then stormed her temple in the sewers beneath the city, where she was accompanied by four angels suspiciously veiled in spiderwebs. She put up a tough fight but eventually she was destroyed.
We trudged wearily back to the palace to report to Emperor Cherish and his head bodyguard Dorphi. We told him of all that had transpired and confirmed with one of his personal divination wizards that the lich was finally gone permanently. We then went on to warn him that one of the nobles in the city was really Lolth in disguise, and she had aided Larissa in the attack with her angels and her divine influence. At that moment who should walk in to the emperor's chambers but Lolth in her noble disguise. She berated us for throwing away the perfect opportunity she had given us - to have Larissa kill the emperor so that we could go on to defeat the lich and have Billie take the throne as she was destined to do (she also admitted she had produced the quests that removed all our allies from the city just days before). When we asked why, she declared that she was still determined to have our help in defeating Demogorgon, and we were going to need the resources of the throne to succeed. She then tried to force us to kill the emperor, and when it became clear we weren't going to she threw a deadly spear at him herself, barely intercepted by the party tanks. We resorted to our old ways of bag of holding abuse; Seraph stuffed the emperor into her Bag and then teleported away to our bolt hole at the nearby university. The Spider Queen conceded the day to us and left, while old friend and deus ex machina Maria Cleaves teleported back into the city to help. Everyone reconvened back at the palace and Billie made a plan with the emperor to officially declare her legitimate claim (and loyalty) to the throne and name her as heir, to remove the need for Lolth to kill him.
-
This was a pivotal sequence for TTC and levelled us to 21 (the beginning of Epic Tier; 4th edition having 30 player levels) and granting us our Epic Destinies. During the conversation with Lolth Thaddeus called on Pelor for strength and in response was made an Exalted Angel complete with wings and halo. By summoning Maria and teleporting the emperor away from certain death, Seraph connected directly to the source of magic and became Magic Incarnate. Ashiok was once again dominated by Lolth as god of the drow, but that humiliation and pain catalyzed her path as a Harbinger of Doom destined to destroy Lolth. Billie's refusal to betray the emperor and her oath to make things right in her own way made her a Topaz Crusader with a particular enmity for demons. Kjell's fearlessness in the face of divinity unlocked his Archfey bloodline. Godric had already been offered a fusion of souls and power by his patron, and will take up his chosen destiny the next time they meet.
Following these climactic events TTC needed some down time and spent the last few weeks of the summer on a road trip, visiting family around Persia. Seraph finally returned to the village of Moraspire that was destroyed in her childhood to find it rebuilt and thriving, but her parents confirmed dead. Thaddeus checked in on the tiny village of Piravhaz and found all was well, which he had set out as an adventurer to ensure. Billie visited her baker mums for the first time since being driven out of her village and finally caught them up on all her adventures. Kjell took us to meet his family, finally able to show them the fine man he has become since his difficult departure. Godric decided not to visit his family, having finally made peace with his past and no longer needing their approval or validation to love himself. The party then returned to Suda to sort things out re: Billie's adoption to the royal family, and to embark on the next arc of their extraordinary story.

With New Year’s Eve coming soon imma do my schtick.
The administrator feeling somewhat kind this jolly year (or also being invited to a very professional yeti punching date by Chadwick Chaddermegaman Saxton Hale.) offered the mercs a peace treaty for the last day of the year.
During the much needed battlefield office party :
1. Someone spiked the fruit punch so much they spent the new years countdown holding on the porcelain throne for dear life.
2. Two people decided to play poker, they started with beans as chips and now one has enough money for a new villa in Kavos and the other is considering to pull off a heist to make back their money.
3. DDR Marathon untill they popped their hip doing the Rasputin
4.responsible person Skyping their parents and sending emails to relatives.
5. Hiding inside a pillow fort because new years is here and THEY HAVENT MET ANY OF THEIR GOALS.
6. Adult person who watches the news segment and all the cheesy new years s programming.
7. Adult person with 3 brain cells making fun of the other adult and making eww and silly noises every time something particularly cringè or cheesě happens.
8. Absolute chad who plays cod while blasting Christmas music in his mic.
Who did what ? And what merc is the chaddest of them all?
The mercs will be revealed at 23:45 at 31/12
Your guesses in reblogs/comments/anonasks❤️

It's gonna be locked behind a paywall because EA is sponsoring me

We return to the series where I discuss the origin of every non-fish aquatic Pokémon. This time I’ll be covering generation IV, which has some of my favorite designs out of the whole franchise. As before I’m saving starters and legendaries/mythicals for their own posts and I covered all fish Pokémon in their own series of posts. To see previous parts of this series see gen I part 1, gen I part 2, gen II, and gen III. To see the fish of Sinnoh, see here. To see the fish Pokémon series see here.
We begin with what is undeniably the most popular and influential Pokémon line in the history of the franchise: the Bidoof line. Never before has there been a beast of such majesty and power, an angelic presence from the heavens. Mere mortals are not worthy to gaze upon Bidoof. Technically only Bibarel is aquatic, but to not include Bidoof would be the greatest of heresies. They’re both rodents (the chaddest of mammals) with Bidoof most likely being based on a groundhog or mountain beaver. Mountain beavers resemble tailless beavers but are not closely related and don’t live in water.
Tumblr media
(image: a mountain beaver)
If you are foolish enough to dilute Bidoof’s purity by evolving it to Bibarel, it will be based on a beaver.
Tumblr media
(image: a North American beaver)
These amphibious rodents are famous for building dams by chewing through small trees and assembling the trees and branches in structures that block waterways. Beaver dams can turn a stream into a full wetland by blocking the flow and they are very important to the wetland ecology of their habitats. The dams serve as homes for the beavers and is where they keep their young.
Tumblr media
(image: a cross-section of a beaver dam. source)
Juveniles will stay in the dam until they are mature enough to fend for themselves. Bidoof is likely a juvenile that is not old enough to swim yet and must rely on its parents to thrive in wetland habitats. There are two species, the North American beaver and the Eurasian beaver. The Eurasian beaver was almost hunted to extinction for its fur, but has been successfully reintroduced to quite of a bit of its historical range. Bibarel might be based on the Eurasian beaver as it is native to, and has been reintroduced to, China and Sinnoh has quite a few references to China. Also of note, the male Bibarel has two extra balls on the base of its tail. Male rodents are notorious for having large testicles. Do with that information what you will.
Moving on from Bidoof will never be easy, but it is necessary. We now turn to the moist mustelids of the Buizel line. They are based on otters, particularly river otters due to their freshwater habitat.
Tumblr media
(image: a eurasian otter)
Even more specifically, they may be based on the Japanese otter, a river otter native to Japan that was last seen in the 1970s and officially declared extinct in 2012. Despite being primarily depicted as a freshwater species, their category name is the “sea weasel Pokémon”, indicating that they are also based on marine otters, the most famous of which being the sea otter of the north Atlantic. Otters and weasels are both members of the family Mustelidae, with their subfamilies being sister groups. There are weasels that are partially or even primarily aquatic, though they as a group are more terrestrial.
Tumblr media
(image: a mink going for a swim. Minks are a subset of weasels)
The Buizel line also draws from floatation devices like inner tubes, water wings, and life vests, with the yellow parts of their bodies being inflatable and buoyant and Floatzel being said to rescue drowning victims.
The Shellos line is without exaggeration one of my favorite lines in the franchise due to the cool biological references they have. They are based on nudibranchs, an order of marine gastropods commonly called sea slugs (though some non-nudibranchs are also called sea slugs). Many nudibranchs are very colorful, which inspired the pink and blue coloration of the Shellos lines.
Tumblr media
(image: it's a nudibranch, dudeibranch)
Nudibranchs can be divided into dorids and aeolids based on their breathing apparatuses. Shellos and Gastrodon are aeolids, who have tendril or fronds like growths called cerata that help them breathe. The head tendrils of east sea Shellos and both Gastrodons and the crown-like organ of west sea shellos are based on cerata, as are the various lumps and fin-like structures found on all of them. A few species of nudibranch have moved their cerata to a more fin or wing-like position, which may explain why east sea shellos appears to have wings. The “wings” could also be based on sea hares, another group of sea slugs, some species of which have developed wing-like structures that allow them to swim.
Tumblr media
(Image: a flying sea hare)
Sea hares are named for their large rod-like scent organs called rhinopores found in most sea slugs, which may be another inspiration for the head tentacles of Gastrodon. Shelos and Gastrodon can learn some poison-type moves depending on generation and this has a few bases. Many nudibranchs have venomous or poisonous cerata. Often this is a result of eating venomous hydrozoans like anemones and sequestering their stinging cells in the cerata. The bright colors of some nudibranchs may be the result of  aposematic coloration, where a species is brightly colored as a warning to potential predators that they are poisonous. The line releases a purplish chemical when stressed, which likely references sea hares again. They can release a colorful, toxic ink into the water as a defense mechanism.
Tumblr media
(image: a California sea hare at a rave releasing ink)
The coolest trait of the Shellos line in my opinion is the fact that there are two distinct populations, east sea and west sea, that have different colors and body structures. This is due to the process of allopatric speciation. This is the process where a species is split into two or more distinct populations by a geographical barrier. Once they are isolated, the populations will begin developing distinct traits due to evolution and them no longer being able to interbreed. Over a long enough time period, the populations can grow so different from each other that they can no longer breed and will be considered different species.
Tumblr media
(image: a diagram of how allopatric speciation works. source)
The two Shellos and Gastrodon populations in Sinnoh were separated by the Sinnoh mountain range, causing the process of allopatric speciation to begin. The two populations can still breed, suggesting that they have not been separated long enough to become two distinct species and may be more accurately described as subspecies or a superspecies, but breeding in Pokémon is nothing like real life reproduction so that may not be the case. Most other regions use only one Shellos population and in Paldea they may be isolated by the connection to Kalos. A real-life example of allopatric speciation can be seen in the two species of chimpanzee: troglodytes and bonobos. The two shared a common ancestor a few million years ago but that ancestor’s range was cut in two by the Congo River. Since chimpanzees are very poor swimmers, the two populations were isolated from each other and developed into two species. Allopatric speciation likely plays a part in how some regional variants developed, but this on on a case-by case basis and is rarely the only factor.
This is the shortest of these series and Gen V will hopefully be out soon.  See you next time for when I talk about my first generation of the games.
