... how did he know this place? Wait, of course he does, it is his place, after all. Why.. did he even doubted it then?

Euphoria rose up and sat straight with his gloved hand on his forehead, trying to recall what made him pass out. Did he actually passed out? Or did he just slept on the floor again? Augh..

He was... tending the garden with Deceit back at Santhymum's cabin... then he was suddenly tied up in colorful strings that held him backwards.. ah. Him.

He probably hit his head on the fence and was teleported here. That son of a bi—

" OI! ya waken up already or not?! " GlitchHAT came in to his view by standing in front of him, snapping his fingers in his face.

Aand there he is. " augh, first off, you dragged me down to your weird [ 🎼🎶 ] color stand and now you're yelling at me for no reason. " Euphoria groaned as he pushes away his hand. This guy really has no manners.

GlitchHAT tsked, " yeah? well you weren't going to wake up at all despite my efforts. i'm honestly surprised you didn't wake up by me kicking your back- "

" SO THAT'S WHY MY BACK HURTS LIKE [ 🎼🎶 ] RIGHT NOW?!— " Euphoria yelled as he felt a stinging ache on his spine. " ehM, ignoring that. i uh, actually need your help.. on something. "

" help? you? from ME?? " To be honest, he didn't expected this. The two would always banter each other, giving out swears and the occasional fights. But help? That's SEVERELY new.

" i HATE to say this, but i'm.. uh in a bit of a rut. i got a debt to pay. " GlitchHAT scratched his bandaged arm, looking as if he was... nervous? I mean, he doesn't blame him, in all honesty.

" in debt, huh? from who? " Euphoria asked. Maybe it's from a Nightmare or some other higher authorities if he gets this level of desperation. " just tell me if you'll help me? ya know i don't get this all... y'know. " Oof, he must be in HUGE debt if he used his accent again.

" okay, okay fine. i'll help. " Euphoria stopped him from begging more, " but after this, you'll have to be in my debt. " He smirked, clearly enjoying GlitchHAT's unamused reaction.

Coalette grunted, as she was dragging about heavy crates and decorations for the upcoming party the Sugar Rush racers were planning. Normally, Sourbill and Theresa would have been put in charge of getting the preparations ready, but Coalette insisted she would do that.

Just as she was finishing up, Neko happened across the scene.

I have several, but the most OC-centric one is Artopia. It's a world largely comprised of craft materials, with various different groups coexisting mostly by not paying attention to each other. The idea actually started off as an in-universe kids show for one of my other worlds, but it just sorta... expanded beyond that, heh

Most of the central action takes place in Artopia, which is full of paint- and ink-based designs- Inknatius and his partner Paintricia, Al Crylic, and the Elders (a pair of watercolour paint pucks) are all local to the area. Additionally, there is Pascel the Pastel, who doesn't talk much and is from a different kingdom (and is also frequently the subject of the main character's whirlwind of chaos), and Pencelope, who is more talkative but also from elsewhere

The neighbouring kingdom is the Shadelands, a grey place largely empty of life as the Artopians know it. Nonetheless, it thrives in its own way- Coalette is one of its few inhabitants, tending to the plants on the far side of the kingdom. At the nearer edge is Monochromopolis, home to Lord Blanq- the former antagonist, current in-the-midst-of-a-rewrite-agonist of the show. He erected the Chroma Dome around the city, in an attempt to keep it relatively undisturbed, but our main characters (as children's show protagonists) keep winding him up and causing havoc.

To that end, and his former villainous role, we have his three henchmen - Commander Scrubb, and Turp & Tine. Scrubb is the competent one of the three, but always gets reamed out for taking things too far; Turp & Tune, meanwhile, always end up accidentally foiling Scrubb's plans through their own hijinks

These aren't the only folks in the world, though- Flatpack Box Canyon house the Kardbolds, small 2d stickpin creatures with a fondness for self-decorating; the Sonorous Seas have the Sondifex, a species of living sounds wrapped in cartoony bodies, and Clutter Keep has all kinds of strange and unusual folks. But, the show being as it was these would be short visit locations, likely for an episode or two. Now that I'm re-evaluating it all, though, they can be more fleshed out!

Thanks again for sending this ask- in the process of writing this I came up with several more ideas! This was really helpful!

Day #9: Mittens

Coalette got herself changed to go out on this festive season with Sourbill. As she equipped a pair of mittens, she giggled to herself. She couldn’t help but to notice how the shape of her hands in the mittens now resembled his little jellybean hands.

Does Sourbill find this nearly as humorous as she does? Hard to tell, but it seems he's not being sarcastic as he "laughed".

4. Favorite paragraph you wrote this year? There are several, but let's go with this: It was almost Midwinter. Daylight was fleeting and rare, the snowdrifts knee-high. Most of the castle life had receded into a few choice rooms to preserve both firewood and candles. Hook’s bed had acquired more furs than an average fur trader. He had moved some of them on the floor to stop his feet from freezing every time he had to get up. More often than not he woke up at night just to find Duchess Coalette curled up in a ball on his chest, purring so loudly his ribs resonated with it.

9. Most important writing lesson you learned this year? People like what I write. It's probably the most difficult lesson to learn with both the impostor syndrome and depression (a huge thank you for @rugletthewren among others <3 )

10. How did you help other writers this year? (i.e. leaving comments, reviews, borrowing books, beta reading, etc) I feel like I'm not doing enough but I'm trying. Mostly I'm trying to cheer people on while they're battling with self-doubt, asking questions or suggesting stuff while building a plot, and reblogging fics every once in a while

SW: Duchess Coalette is a normal cat, but Danhausen magicked her to live forever to keep him company DatD: I won't upload it online or write anything else that I've already written but anyway. It doesn't come up in the story, but OC is a shapeshifter. To be exact: he was born a cat. He decided to learn to change forms because it looked neat.
