The Dairy at Streat Place Barn is tucked away in the rural village of Streat in East Sussex, overlooking the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Dairy is a picturesque self-catering holiday cottage which has been smartly converted to offer guests a peaceful retreat set in the beautiful surroundings of the Sussex countryside and yet just 7 miles from the historical town of Lewes and 10 miles from the bright lights of Brighton. It has been selected to feature as one of Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places To Stay'.

There is also The Shepherds Hut which is available to guests in the warmer months from April through to October. It can either be booked independently or to accommodate additional guests when booking The Dairy. The Shepherds Hut is ideal for single occupants, cosy couples or adventurous children - and all those that are looking for an authentic Shepherd’s Hut experience.

The Dairy and The Shepherd’s Hut are part of the curtilage of Streat Place Barn which was built around 1600. Streat Place Barn and its buildings have been carefully and sympathetically restored over the years by its’ owners Jinks McGrath, a jeweller, and Steve Turner, a carpenter and timber framer.
