DRAGON FURY 2 (2022) Review of British fantasy horror – now free to watch online
Dragon Fury 2 is a 2022 British fantasy horror film about a determined woman who is threatened by both the government and flying monsters. Also known as Dragon Fury: Wrath of Fire
The movie is obviously a sequel to Dragon Fury (2021).
Directed by Adam Cowie (Amityville Scarecrow 2; The Legend of Jack and Jill 2) from a screenplay written by Craig McLearie (Alien Awakening; Jack Frost; Dinosaur…
I was looking at posts about AMC's The Terror and I kept getting confused by the use of first names, so I wanted to see how many of the characters had the same names. Arranging the crew in alphabetical order, I got:
1 x Abraham (Seeley)
4 x Alexander (Berry, McDonald, Paterson, Wilson)
5 x Charles (Best, Coombs, Des Voeux, Johnson, Osmer)
1 x Cornelius (Hickey)
2 x Daniel (Arthur, Bryant)
3 x David (Leys, Macdonald, Young) + Bonus: Bryant in the show but most historical sources I found list him as Daniel
1 x Edmund (Hoar)
3 x Edward (Couch, Genge, Little)
2 x Edwin (Helpman, Lawrence)
3 x Francis (Crozier, Dunn, Pocock)
1 x Frederick (Hornby) + Bonus: Des Voeux, whom I have seen referred to as Frederick rather than Charles on occasion
6 x George (Cann, Chambers, Hodgson, Kinnaird, Thompson, Williams)
1 x Gillies (MacBean)
1 x Graham (Gore)
7 x Henry/Harry (Collins, Goodsir, Le Vesconte, Lloyd, Peglar, Sait, Wilkes)
10 x James (Brown, Daly, Elliot, Fairholme, Fitzjames, Hart, Reid, Ridgen, Thompson, Walker) + Bonus: Ross, who was not part of the expedition but appears in the show
Oct - Dec 2023 Devil May Cry News Updates: Peak of Combat, Teasers, Rumours, Etc.
Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had a SSSmokin' SSSexy SSStylin' holiday. Here's hoping this year brings more Devil May Cry goodness. Here are the rest of 2023's news updates on what's happening with Devil May Cry.
1. Capcom is getting stingy about mods.
b) So stingy in fact that they're taking down Youtube vids of mods in their games.
2. Gamescom interview about Peak of Combat.
b) And more content from the game such as dev notes, gamepad support, new character reveals, official OSTs, and release date.
3. Another Devil May Cry expansion for the mobile game Teppen.
4. Devil May Cry V has sold over 7 million units.
5. A small glimpse on what's in store for the Netflix series.
6. Former Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya talks at the Archipel Caravan Festival in Tokyo about DMC1's development, with former Resident Evil director/producer Shinji Mikami (can't find the video, so this link will have to do).
7. Dante's and Nero's face models Adam Cowie and Karlo Baker tease us with a little future Devil May Cry news.
8. Rumours of Dante appearing in Fortnite anytime soon due to a loading screen speculation, and some infamous leaker.
My Thoughts On These Updates:
It's really too bad what Capcom thinks of mods. I get it when it comes to inappropriate eye candy and overpowering everything to make things easy, but they need to realize that mods aren't just about those. Mods are also a way of building a community of like-minded and talented individuals, and they should also think of mods as some form of resume if they're looking for more people to work on their team to make games.
2. It's really cool that the dev team of Peak of Combat got Casey Edwards and Victor Borba to be a part of their OST, and cool what other features are in the game. But it's really too bad on the direction the devs have gone on it. Ads are popping up on their profiles like weeds (especially outrageous ones), they're not very clear with their direction on the game (including their official release dates. I've lost count how many release dates they've had now), and they've pretty much stopped listening to feedback from the fans on what can be improved on it overall. Found a former mod member of the game talking about their negative experience on working with them.
3 and 4. That's cool that Teppen gets another Devil May Cry expansion, and how Devil May Cry V sold more copies.
5. So we've got our first glimpse of Lady, and a little more in the Netflix series. I still have my high curiosities and being cautiously optimistic on what's in store for it. Fingers crossed that it doesn't turn out like Castlevania did after season 1.
6. It's interesting how Kamiya and Mikami left their own companies, and the process of their career journey throughout the years. I wish them luck on their next endeavor.
7. So I guess we may or may not get a Devil May Cry 6 announcement anytime soon?
8. If it's true that Dante will be appearing in Fortnite, that would be cool. But sadly I'm not a Fortnite fan, and him being in the game won't convince me to play it. But I will have no problem seeing what he looks like and how he plays on Youtube.
I woke up with the idea in mind that Tom Ellis should be on IWTV somehow, because I'm an idiot and I like to fancast, but unfortunately as I don't watch many movies and series, my list of actors is limited to a very small circle!
But let's play a little...
Erin Kellyman and Amelia Kellyman as Maharet and Mekare and I don't think I need to tell you why... (The one in the middle is Milly Kellyman and she's an athlete.)
(left) Erin - October 17, 1998 - 1,68m (British)
(right) Amelia - June 6, 1993 - not sure (British)
Tom Ellis - November 17, 1978 - 1,91m (British)... I have no idea who he could play, but like Ben Daniels (Santiago), he's the kind of actor who has the charisma to make you feel sympathy for the devil (if you know what I mean), so he could be something like Santino haha.
May El Calamawy - October 28, 1986 - 1,69m (Egyptian/Palestinian)... I've loved her since I saw her in 'Moon Knight' and thank you Marvel for that, she's a great actress and I'm just in love with her, it's that thing, I just want her in every possible production. I can't say she'd be a good Akasha because I don't think she'd fit that role, so she could be some gender-swapped character or maybe Chrysanthe.
Jameela Jamil - February 25, 1986 - 1,79m (Indian/Pakistani born in UK)... Make her Lydia (Pandora) and make her kick some ass, make Arjun her little dog and in the end she can be with Bianca (I don't think she should be with Marius because he deserves to end up alone).
Eva Green - July 6, 1980 - 1,70m (French/Jewish descent on his mother's side)... How can you live without wanting this woman on your screen? I have no idea who she could be, but make her one of the old ones, a powerful one who puts fear into you, make her kick a lot of ass too.
Charles Dance as Magnus - October 10, 1946 - 1,91m (British)... It's so sad because I can only see Magnus as him, but if Christos Lawton is Magnus in S2 I'll be satisfied too.
Paul Bullion as Thornevald - June 4, 1988 - 1,91m (British)... Come on, he looks so much like Thorne, it's like he's going to start crying at any moment! And I wish the series would not only put Thorne and Cyril together, but make them a couple, because I would love that so much, them being the best clumsy duo at protecting and following Lestat around while being a complete mess, they need to stick together, I love them.
Gillian Anderson or Kristin Bauer van Straten as Gabrielle. To be honest, from the first time I saw Kristin I saw Gabrielle in her.
I had some funny fancasts for Marius from the moment I read him in 'The Vampire Lestat', but the only two that never left my head were Fawad and Pedro, sorry! Two completely impossible actors, but something in me screamed that Marius should be Latino (crazy) and I unfortunately won't change my mind about that.
That's all for now, there are a few other characters that I wish I could fancast, but unfortunately I don't have any references and they are:
Seth. I keep wondering who would be the ideal actor to be the best couple ever with Fareed! (Sorry, I love them too).
Sevraine. Another great woman I wanted kicking ass!
Avicus and Mael. Along with Fareed and Seth, the two of them are the couple I look at and shout "old married couple energy!"
Cyril. Because I want him kissing Thorne on the mouth!!!
Rhoshamandes. Poor dear Rhosh, poorly used in the books, I wish he had the same energy as Ben Daniels as Santiago, an actor who would make you love the great villain and that in the series he is that great villain and not just someone who gradually becomes mediocre.
edit 1)
Mahesh Jadu as Cyril, Khayman or Seth - October 26, 1982 - 1,83m (Australian)... My goodness he's beautiful, isn't he???? >///<
Hmm.. i hope this awnsers your question but, i genuinely feel (in every aspect possible) that i'm a cow. big cowies are the best!! but i dunno.. haven't thought much about getting big

A Timeworn Scroll Reveals King Henry VII’s Interests in New World Colonization
By Ashley Cowie, 6 October 2018

In AD 1499, England launched its very first English-led expedition to "Terra Nova” (New World) and now researchers studying a 16th century scroll have found King Henry VII awarded William Weston, one the explorers, with a handsome paycheck.
While the payment of 30 British pounds sterling could hardly be called a king’s ransom, at that time, this was a considerable sum of money; equivalent of a laborers salary for six years, said researchers in a their paper, which was published online on October 2 in the journal Historical Research.
The information was discovered on a huge parchment dating back more than 500 years and ultraviolet light was required to reveal the hidden text said study co-researcher Evan Jones, a senior lecturer in economic and social history at the University of Bristol in a report in Live Science .
Early Transatlantic Rumors
In 2009, the University of Bristol published Jones paper titled The lost voyage: First English-led expedition to North America in which a “long lost letter” written by King Henry VII was addressed to Weston as he “was preparing for an expedition to the new found land.”
The king was excited and in support of Weston because in AD 1497 and 1498, the Venetian explorer John Cabot had successfully sailed the Atlantic having set off from the southern English port of Bristol. But it seems Weston was preparing a British-led expedition.
“The Cabot Project” is an international project aimed at researching the late 15th and early 16th centuries Transatlantic voyages from Bristol.
Margaret Condon of the University of Bristol, who is part of the Cabot Project, researched endless tax records gathering data about the oceanic adventurers traveling to and from North America.
These were “written on huge parchment rolls, created from the skin of more than 200 sheep” according to the Live Science article, and each segment on the roll measured “6.5 feet (2 meters) long.”
In the University of Bristol’s statement about the discoveries, Condon said that the rolls were "beasts to deal with, but also precious and irreplaceable documents.”
Handling them, she said, “sometimes feels like you're wrestling, very gently, with an obstreperous [boisterous] baby elephant!”
Returning to the main discovery, King Henry VII rewarded Weston in January 1498 after they met.
Researchers believe “it appears that Weston was likely one of the unnamed 'great seamen' from Bristol whom Italian diplomats wrote about during the winter of 1497 to 1498” while describing the Bristol explorers who joined Cabot on his two 1490’s expeditions.
Nobody is quite sure how Cabot's last 1498 expedition turned out but perhaps its ill fate inspired King Henry VII to send his expedition the following year, led by one of Cabot's deputies, the researchers speculated.
Further evidence gathered by members of the Cabot Project revealed that "Weston was a bit of a gambler, but perhaps you had to be, to risk your life on such a dangerous voyage into unknown seas.”
On another level of this fascinating story, the new study also confirmed two extraordinary claims made by Alwyn Ruddock, a deceased historian from the University of London who, having studied the early English voyages to the Americas for over 4 decades, claimed that Cabot had explored most of the North American continent’s east coast by AD 1500.
Ruddock never published her discoveries and in a bizarre act, upon her death in 2005, she ordered that all her notes were destroyed, and so they were.
These new findings support the two extraordinary claims made by Ruddock who spent over 40 years researching England's first voyages to North America, and although she never published any of her work, she did submit a book synopsis and this was shared with Jones.
Ruddock also claimed that a band of Italian friars had sailed with Cabot on his AD 1498 expedition who went on to establish “the first European Christian colony and church in North America” according to an article in Newsweek.
Offering reason as to why the king rewarded Weston, she implied that Weston moved northwards up the Labrador coast searching for the North West passage around the continent.
The authors of the latest study suggest it was for this specific reason that Weston was rewarded by Henry VII.
