Just wanted to say that I'm so freakin' sorry chapter 20 of Amalgamate is taking so long graaaagh!!!

I've been working really hard to post it by the new year but then I ran into a bunch of technical problems that've left me battling with both my phone and laptop for days. I have no idea if the 1/1/2024 deadline is impossible now, but I'm getting so close to being done with the chapter overall.

I've even moved into the phase I call the "out loud readings" where I read the Amalgamate chapters aloud to myself to hear how natural the dialogue sounds and to check the overall narrative flow.

If it's any consolation for how much time it's taking me to post this chapter, I can assure you it's also super long. How long, you may ask?

The current draft of chapter 20 is nearly 35,000 words.

I'm a little bit mortified by that number. Numerical proof that I have lost control of my life O_O
