Disclaimer: none of these answers are official, and may not work for your particular use case. If there is a specific feature that an unofficial app had that you don't know how to replicate on the AO3, let me know in the notes and we might can crowdsource a solution.

A lot of people used the Archive Reader app to access stories on Archive of Our Own, and have been upset that the app is now charging to read longer than an hour a day. AO3 (and its parent organization, the OTW) has made it extremely clear in recent days that this app is unofficial and that there *is* no official app. They encourage people to use the website.

However, there are MANY reasons you might want an app, and in a bunch of those cases, there are ways to do those things without having to provide your login information to a random person running an app. Here is a round-up of solutions to the most common reasons I've seen people give for wanting an app instead of the plain AO3 website.

These solutions are based on the following assumptions:

You know what Archive of Our Own is

You often or primarily access it through a mobile device running iOS or Android

You understand what a browser is

You understand what a browser bookmark is

You understand what a site skin is

I need Dark Mode.

AO3 has a default site skin for Dark Mode, it's just called Reversi. Find it here, or at the bottom of any page on the website. https://archiveofourown.org/skins/929/

I need to be able to read stories when I don't have internet.

Every work on the AO3 has a download button, so you can click on that and download the story for offline reading in the ereader app of your choice. More info on how to do that is in the AO3 FAQs: https://archiveofourown.org/faq/downloading-fanworks?language_id=en#accesslater

I need to be able to change the text size of the website itself.

I need to be able to change the text size in downloaded stories.

My personal recommendation: Don't download in PDF format. All the other formats you can download in can scale the text size up and down, assuming you open the work in the correct app. For me, I download works in EPUB format and read them on the built-in Books app on my iPhone. I hear good things about Moon Reader on Android as well.

I need to be able to replace Y/N in fics with an actual name.

I need to be able to save specific tags and not have to search them up every time.

If you have an AO3 account (which you definitely should) then you can favorite up to 20 tags which will appear on the landing page. The AO3 FAQ explains how that works: https://archiveofourown.org/faq/tags?language_id=en#favtag

I need to be able to save specific filters and be able to apply them to any tag.

I need to be able to permanently hide certain tags.

I need it to save my place on the page and not reload.

This is really mostly a browser error--Firefox on iOS does this to me A LOT. Your best bet is to download the work and read it in an ereader app. A lot of people also will make an ao3 bookmark and write in the notes section which part they were at, but that assumes you aren't falling asleep while reading. I need it to keep track of which stories I've already read/opened/kudos'd.

If you have an account (which you should) then the "My History" page keeps track of every fic you've ever clicked on. No, it isn't searchable or sortable, but it does exist. I need an app because the website's search is terrible.

(I genuinely don't understand this one but I have seen it multiple times so on the list it goes!!) The search bar at the top of the screen is a keyword search. If you'd rather search within a specific field (like title or tag) then you'll want to click on the word "search" at the top of the screen and select Work Search or Tag Search. To search users, use People Search. To search Bookmarks, use Bookmark Search. (If this is you, please tell me what the heck you mean by "search is bad" and how an app helped with this.)

I need to be able to sort stories by date posted/number of bookmarks/alphabetical/etc.

You can do this using the filters sidebar. Pick a tag you want to filter on (like a fandom, character, or relationship) and then click on the "Filters" button. The sidebar will pop out and you can sort and filter on a boggling array of specifics. I need to be able to mark stories to read later.

AO3 has this feature built in! If you have an account (which you should) there is a "Mark for Later" option on every work.

Edit: Thispersonishuman reminded me that History and Mark For Later can be disabled, so if you're not seeing the Mark for Later option, check your settings.

I need to be able to listen to stories using text-to-speech.

Microsoft Edge web browser has a built in text to speech function. Supposedly it works on both iOS and Android, but I have not personally tested that. iOS also has a native accessibility feature in settings for text to speech that will work on the Books app, so I assume Android has a similar functionality. I need to have in-app notifications for updates/I can't ever find story updates in among the rest of my emails/checking my email stresses me out.

Set up a separate email address using a free service like gmail, and use that email address JUST for AO3. Then the only emails in that inbox will be your story updates. I use Apple's Mail application for all my inboxes, but it's very easy to use the Gmail app instead, and you could log in to JUST the ao3 email and set it to notify for every email.

(Also as a general PSA: don't use your work, school, or military email as your AO3 email. Just don't.)

I want statistics like how many hours I spent reading, how many words I read, what my most read tags were, stuff like that.

So we've finally hit something that isn't easy and that requires a hell of a lot of manual work. Short version: AO3 does not track this data because they don't want to. (Mostly due to privacy concerns.) The lack of this tracking is a feature, not a bug. You can crunch these numbers yourself, but it will take a hell of a lot more effort, and it's something I personally found is not worth the effort the couple of times I have tried to crunch those numbers. If you are willing to download your history to an actual computer (not a tablet or chromebook) using Calibre, you can get a rough idea of your most popular tags via their tag browser, but it won't play nice with typos synned to a Common Tag (Canonical Tag/filterable tag) like ao3 does. (If anyone has used an app that gave you stats on this, please let me know in reblogs/replies/via ask how that worked because I am very curious.)

I work corporate IT now, switched from customer service, but so many of the skills I learned in customer service are unfortunately useful. Like for people who have thick skulls.

A person was having a login issue yesterday. Those are pretty easy - usually they’re just entering in the wrong thing. But it was a phone call and we kept getting disconnected. And the disconnect kept happening before I knew which laptop she was using so i could remote into it. Finally we got a connection long enough to learn which laptop it was. I kept telling her “on the underside of the laptop there’s a label that says which laptop this is.” “But I can’t get into the laptop to tell you!” “Its on the bottom of the laptop!” “Oh, hang on.” Like i hadnt said “underside” several times. But I finally got which laptop it was before we got disconnected again. I’m trying to contact back while I can see her continue to enter in the wrong thing while trying to log in.

Finally, i use our remote access software to cut off her inputs and login to a shared account that we maintain for purposes such as this. I open notepad and leave a note, all the while i know she’s watching. “This is your username, the password you use is the same for your email, that’s all you need to enter. I’m going to turn your keyboard back on so you can login.” And did so.

She closed notepad and didn’t log out of the shared account. Went to go find her emails. There’s a message option with the remote software that I seldom use - it’s easy to ignore and I find notepad much easier. So I use the message option to say “this isn’t your account, none of your stuff is here.” I typed like four messages and she closed the window every time. Now, I’m the kind of person who won’t give you any more help than you ask for, and she was continually closing out my help, so I’m like “fine, deal with it yourself, if you need me you know where I am”, and closed my connection.

A short while later, she called back. “I’m logged in but my emails aren’t here.” Which. Yeah. I told you. You closed my messages. Which i say as politely as possible, but I can tell she’s getting irritated too. Which I get but that is not my fault. I say “Let me drive,” which is what we say to tell the user, “I’ve got this, I’ll show you.” She kept moving the mouse. “You’re not letting me drive, (name.)” With an annoyed tone she stopped doing things (possibly because I turned off user inputs again.) I went to the login screen, entered in her username. Had to reset her password which isn’t uncommon, and she set it back to what it was supposed to be. And we got in.

She then said “i don’t know how but I’m in.” Excuse me, you don’t know how? I walked you through everything i did in plain English. Flabbergasted, i said “that was me. I did that.” Never so glad to get an issue over with.

I would think by that point it's more about her being lonely and wanting to talk to someone than about her actually needing help to log in.

Unless she can't read. There was a guy I worked with at the depot of offices that said when he worked tech support in the 80's he was on the phone with a guy for his whole shift because they had to go over everything one letter at a time because the guy didn't know how to read. My co worker said he was getting frustrated because he thought the guy was being difficult purpose and once he understood what the issue was it went a lot easier.

It’s only 10:54 pm on Tuesday for me but @daffi-990 and @lover-of-mine have tagged me in wip Wednesday already, and posting about the quilt I’m working on made me want to work on quilt shop au, so here’s the beginning of it:

Eddie Diaz has been staring at a computer screen for going on half an hour, in a state of some despair. The envelope from the city with it’s letter detailing the changes to the login system for the CDTFA is spread out on the already cluttered desk before him. He’d swear to god, satan, his mother, anyone you’d like that he was following the instructions to a T, but still every attempt at logging in has failed. It’s not an emergency quite yet — it’s only November, the next sales tax payment isn’t till January — but he was trying to get ahead of things for once and, of course, all it’s getting him is the intense desire to rip his hair out. He’ll have to call someone about this, probably, wait hours on hold to talk to a city official who he will try very hard to remind himself is having as bad a day as he is and doesn’t actually think he’s a fucking idiot no matter how they talk to him. The computer screen flickers for a moment, and he wonders if the trouble is because he’s trying to do this on an iMac from 2009 that only just barely functions. He could try at home, maybe, but all accounts he might need access to are only logged in here, and he’s tried so hard to leave work at work, and he’d promised Chris they’d build his new lego kit together tonight. He’s trying to be an adult and not drop his head into his hands to mope when the bells on the door jingle as it opens.

It’s 4:15 on a Tuesday, a little late for the older folks who like to shop in the morning, but early for somebody getting off work. They get a few semi regulars from the high school a few blocks over, mostly looking for yarn for whatever new crochet or knitting trend is going around, and Eddie thinks it might be one of them but then he looks up and sees- well. It’s not a little old lady or a high schooler. The man who just walked in is taller than Eddie, broad shoulders, ridiculous arms, sweater at least a full size too small, eyes a bright blue even from back here behind the desk. He also looks extremely lost and not a small amount worried.

“Hey,” Eddie calls, remembering customer service voice halfway through so the word wobbles in a kind of weird way. “Can I help you?”

Remus rushed forward, weaving through the queue. It was always busy on sunny Saturdays, and he knew it. Remus vowed to arrive earlier in future.

“Hey! Is there actually something wrong with you!? There’s a queue, you know!” A dark-haired teenager called after Remus. “I work here!” He explained, mentally rolling his eyes. He reached the till a moment later, moving around the counter to get to the safety of the staff room.

“Please tell me we have someone else working with me, next shift,” Remus said, looking at the girl grinning at him.

“Nope, just me, lovely. Just me.” Marlene said.

“But it’s hectic, Marls!” “Can’t do anything about it. Lily’s off on some fancy pants weekend with James, Mary’s visiting her mum and Dorcas came in as an extra last Sat, so it wouldn’t be fair to get her to do more again.” “Ugh.” Said Remus. He put on his apron and tied a messy bow on the back. After working in the Hog’s Head Café for almost a year, he still hadn’t got the hang of the fabric ties.

“Right, come on then, Moony. Pete and Reg should be off in a mo.” Marlene said, walking out of the staff room to behind the counter.

“By the way, I dibs drinks first!” Marlene laughed. Speaking to so many people (and there were always rude children about at the weekend) was neither of their strong points.

“I hate you, Marlene. I really hate you.”

“I love you, too.” She teased, as Peter and Regulus swapped with them. He could feel it wasn’t going to be a great day already.

“Welcome to the Hogs Head Café, I’m Remus, what can I get for you?” He said to whoever was already waiting at the till, typing his login into the touch screen that liked playing up at the worst of times.

“Oh, it’s you again.” Said a voice dripping with sarcasm. Remus looked up and was met with the site of instantly recognisable charcoal hair framing a handsome pale face.

“I told you I worked here,” Remus said, meeting his eyes. He met the customer’s gaze. Remus took a sharp intake of breath, taken aback by their beauty. Stormy grey pools, he felt himself being swallowed by them.

“Can I get your order, please?” Remus repeated. However gorgeous the bloke was, he didn’t have time for a pissed-off customer. Endless queues only ever got bigger.

“Expresso.” Said the customer.

“What name?” Remus asked.

“Sirius.” This Sirius had high, defined cheekbones that could cut glass. It was really rather striking. Remus clicked the button and read the price, calling the order over to Marlene. The boy stepped to the side, making way for the next customer. Remus began the whole cyclical cycle again, reciting the well-rehearsed introduction perfectly. As Marlene deemed Sirius’s order complete, he grabbed it and beckoned Sirius over by calling out his name. The boy moved forwards and took the cup off of the counter, where Remus had left it. He went to move away but must have changed his mind, as he turned back around.

“Hey, waiter-y guy. Remus, was it? You free tonight?” Remus felt his jaw drop.

They got rid of all of the good features that made the game unique... the Daily Pop, the personality quiz, the photo booth... even down to the login screen.

Wanna know something funny? PoptropiCon Island is the one island where the gameplay relies on the Costumizer. So they couldn't get rid of it for that.

My Favorite Forum Scripts

The unofficial part two of My Favorite Skin-Building Scripts, this is a collection of scripts that I wish more forums used! Not quite essential for building your forum, but definitely nice to have from an end user perspective. Like the post draft saver, post bookmarks, ctrl+b/i/u, etc.

These are some of my favorites from the resource forums jCodes and Sourced, both of which have a lot more codes available than the ones I pulled out as my favorites. So go check those resource forums out!

Add # of Alerts to Board Title by Cory If you have more than 0 alerts, it adds that number to the browser tab title. Like how Tumblr has the number of new posts on your dash in the title! Great for pressuring me into replies when my ADHD clicks over to Pinterest. Ctrl+B/I/U by Cory When you hit CTRL+B/I/U it adds the appropriate BBcode. This is on John’s list to make a default feature, but until then this script is incredibly handy and if I ever have to type [b] again I’ll probably kill something.

Fast Reply BBcodes by Kon Adds BBcodes to the fast reply box! This includes custom BBcodes.

Floating Login by Skyon Archer Creates a popup login screen out of the login link. Great if you don’t want to design your own modal.

Form Submission Script by Black Useful for claims (if you’re not using auto-claims) or other forum functions, where you can customize a form for users to fill out. The form will then post as a reply to the topic it’s posted in.

Membergroup Counter by Essi Pulls the number of accounts in a member group from the member list. Great for quick referencing in your board stats. If knowing ratios is your thing.

Post bookmarks by Cory Similar to tracked topics, but this creates a new bookmarks page, allowing you to add categories and notes about specific bookmarks you make! This is incredibly genius and I WISH more sites would use this!! Helps me save those spicy posts to read again later~

Post Drafts by Cory Saves a copy of the post you’re writing in local storage every 30 seconds. This has saved my ass countless times because my browsers (and their 400 tabs) like to crash. There’s also a manual save version if you don’t like the auto-save.

Post Tags by Cory Lets you add tags to posts so you can easily search the whole forum for posts with the same tags. There’s another version for topic tags, too! Great for tagging ships, tropes, etc. especially on sandbox sites! Note: all tag keywords should be unique and longer than 3 characters.

Recent Topics Anywhere by Essi Adds your recent topics list.........anywhere. lol. Love it for maximum snooping into everyone’s threads, which I do often.

Tagging Username List by Cory When you start typing out a tag with the @ symbol in posts, a list of usernames that start with those characters pops up. Clicking one of them autocompletes the tag. Great for when you forget how to spell every character’s name lol.

User-selectable Avatars by Cory Useful for sandboxes! It allows users to add a selection of custom avatars into a profile field, and then select the one they want to use from a dropdown menu in the posting page.

Remember, adding scripts and plugins can cause your website load time to slow down, especially on older machines or in places with slower internet. So please be mindful about your member base and what you consider most important to your forum experience.

Site Update - 10/13/2022

Hi Pillowfolks!

Our developers have pushed an update to the platform that includes some of the rewards unlocked from the Autumn Funding Drive as well as a number of bug fixes. Please note that we will be adding additional Lifestyle Badges in our next update.

NEW Features

Holiday Badge Pack - You can now display your love of Autumn and Halloween with one of five fancy new badges!

Autumn Drive 2022 Contributor Badge - All users who donated during the month of September 2022 are also in the process of being granted the Autumn Drive pumpkin pie badge. The process for validating everyone who is eligible for this badge should only take an hour or so, so if you did donate but do not see the pumpkin pie badge in the gallery of available badges in your Settings page after a couple of hours, email us and we will look into it.

Autumn Frame Pack & Halloween Frame Pack - 4 new seasonal Frames have been added to the User Settings page. Frames include: Pumpkin Spice Latte Frame, Autumn Frame, Bone Frame, and Halloween Frame. (Note: Frames are only visible on screens wider than 760px.)

Bonus Frames - As a thank you to our community for your continued support and patience throughout this year we’ve also included two special Pillowfort frames. We’re excited to see creative uses of the bonus frames!

Bug Fixes

We’ve improved error handling on the home feed and notifications feed. Previously, the loading spinner would display endlessly if the request for home feed/notification feed data failed, without providing an error message. Now the page will display a message if the request fails.

Fixed a number of styling issues in dark mode:

Fixed the font color for external link previews

Fixed the font color for blockquotes in comments

Fixed the font color for the redundant reblog pop-up

Fixed the colors for various elements in the post reblog modal

When reblogging a post, the “Submit” button in the modal will be hidden to avoid confusion about the request going through.

Fixed a bug in Blog Styling where the Styling Modal erroneously displayed an empty field value as #FFFFFF. A field that does not have any color selected will now display “none” in the field.

Fixed a bug in Blog Styling where color changes that were entered but not saved would persist after a page refresh.

Fixed a bug in Blog Styling where if a user entered a hex character (#) into the blog Styling form, an error triggered on save.

Spinning into Trouble: Where Peloton's Smooth Ride Gets Bumpy

As a Peloton enthusiast, I would say that overall the company has managed to create a relatively seamless, "frictionless" customer experience. From using your phone to scan a QR code to log in to post-ride recommendations, the company appears to be doing all it can to streamline the user journey to keep me company back for more rides. However, as hard as they try to remove friction from the CX there remains friction in key areas. Below I will try to analyze these key points of friction, and identify where embedding some level of friction could actually be a good thing.

*Disclaimer: I don’t actually own a Peloton bike myself, I use a bike at the gym or my sister’s place so I will be analyzing the customer journey as it relates to the customer experience of using the product but not pre-purchase, post-purchase, etc. Additionally, I use their recorded classes such as core workouts that are not on the bike, but for simplicity's sake, I will only be considering the bike experience.

Friction levels: quicksand / soccer field / skating rink

Log-in:

Current Friction level: soccer field

Ideal Friction Level: soccer field

You have two options to log in to a bike: type in your email and password or scan the QR code on your phone and log in through the app. I use the QR code which is a very smooth experience, however, you could argue that this still requires users to have their phones on them, scan a code, and click login within the app. Peloton could go one step further and use facial recognition so that users could simply get on the bike and start riding. That said, I think that soccer field is still the right level of friction because privacy is a concern here especially given that the data will be stored on Peloton’s servers and the login process is on hardware that you don’t yourself own.

Bike Set-up:

Current Friction level: soccer field

Ideal Friction Level: skating rink

Today I have to manually configure the bike across three dimensions to reach my ideal positioning. If I go for a period of time without using a Peloton such as over the summer, I often forget my positioning (e.g., seat height). I believe the company should reduce friction here by letting me save my position configurations in the app so that they are there on the screen after I login if I need them. Going a step further the bikes could automatically change the positioning upon login.

Connecting Bluetooth Headphones:

Current Friction level: quicksand

Ideal Friction Level: skating rink

Having to go through a multi-stage Bluetooth connection process on my phone and the bike every time I ride at the gym is a pain. I believe there is a better way for the company to save my headphones connection within my profile so that only my headphones show up in the list when I log in. I have had my headphones connect to someone else riding when I was off the bike and that was unnecessary friction for both the other rider and myself.

Class selection:

Current Friction level: soccer field

Ideal Friction Level: skating rink

Peloton obviously uses a recommendation algorithm to recommend classes that I might be interested in, but I still experience friction in the process. The recommended classes are limited and don’t allow me to scroll easily beyond the ~10 classes that are recommended. Privacy in the recommendation algorithm is something to be aware of, but I don’t think adding friction to this step in the AI is necessary given that this is baseline user data.

Post-workout Recommendations:

Current Friction level: quicksand

Ideal Friction Level: skating rink

Post-ride recommendations fall under a similar trap to class selection algorithms in not providing a tailored or extensive enough list of recommendations. Similarly, I don’t believe that adding friction here is necessary or beneficial.

Building Community:

Current Friction level: quicksand

Ideal Friction Level: soccer field

Beyond high-fiving people in the class I have not engaged in community building efforts. I haven’t gone out of my way to build community, but sometimes when I’m riding I see a name that peaks my attention (e.g., a rider with #NHL alum in his profile) and I don’t know if there’s a way to connect with them after the ride. I think more can be done here to allow users to connect with other riders. There seem to be easy opportunities for this through a “fly-bys” approach similar to Strava, in-app messaging, or even lists of folks who have taken similar classes / at similar output levels. Adding friction to this feature might be ideal though given that many riders would prefer to remain anonymous or have no interest in connecting post-ride.

Everyone has their go-to instructors and often times I would love to provide feedback to my instructors. For example, I love doing the core workouts from one instructor in particular and she hasn’t posted any of these workouts recently. I think there are ways to reduce friction here by adding additional feedback points beyond “how hard was today’s workout” and “thumbs up” or “thumbs down”.

I played - Armored Core 6 - 2023

"Let slip the hound of war."

I find it deeply funny to have only played the first and latest in a series. To be clear both to anyone reading and myself. I will fill in the gaps. I own AC2 physically so there's a bit of extra incentive.

The funny part of having played the first and latest is the understanding that generally, the newest will be more friendly to a newcomer. To an enormous degree, that is true, but counter to that, is that in the first game, I had an edge of a strong weapon or two that carried me most of the way. Like, there exist configurations that can do that with 6 as well, but without previous knowledge of them, which is a lot more frequent with the older titles.

I ran the gamut of weight classes and leg types, played around with weapons. By no means did I use them all, but they all mostly feel like they have their places. A big clunky loaded with weapons has no place rushing around destroying transport ships. A light jumper is going to have a hard time with some of the AC fights and bosses. There's a portion of a Noah Caldwell-Gervais video where he talks about how the Souls games very much want you to win. Specifically that there is no difficulty slider because how you equip yourself is your difficulty slider. The exact same rings true of Armored Core. Recently I've seen a lot of griping about the Balteus fight. I think the disconnect from Souls to AC is that the line drawn between equipment making an encounter easier is not linear as much as exponential. Magic will make a boss potentially easier in Souls, but the right loadout for your AC will make a boss an absolute breeze. Also that in AC6 especially there is no punishment to remixing your loadout,and it's easier than ever. The resupply points and checkpoints are also extremely forgiving. Especially allowing you to customize your mech mid-mission. I just wish you could also save your current loadout on that screen in case you wanted to return to that configuration later.

I wish I could say something about the music, I'm eager to listen to it on it's own. To see if memories come back as I listen. Because within the game it does not feel memorable.

Light Spoilers in the following paragraph. I think the story as presented is fascinating, I probably could have done more hunting and pecking for it as I went. But I enjoyed it. Everybody has pet names for the hound. Everyone is using you as much as they can. Yes even Ayre. The most interesting thing AC6 does with the story is it's NG+. The first time I hit it the end, credits roll, and was greeted with the "login" screen for Raven (I can't remember what it was called) I was stunned. It was so seamless and immediate and perfect. The way the new mission options slowly reveal themselves is perfect. Teasing out the new story beats along the way. Also the Ice Worm fight is an excellent gimmick, it made my jaw drop the first time my buddy helped out.

It just feels so good to pilot a mech and be the most dangerous thing on the planet. As much as the intro segments for bosses pose them as a threat, you are already more dangerous. Almost universally when you show up it's an "oh shit" moment. Wonderful game.

howdy! thank you so much for this wonderful ask, i very rarely get the chance to talk about my web/graphic design stuff, so seize any chance i can get! you'll have to forgive me for how scattered this everything is, my graphic design stuff normally ends up as a smaller part of illustrations, so a lot of it is gonna be cropped, haha.

my hypnagog header is probably the thing i'm most proud of, it was the first custom font i ever made that felt like i captured what i saw in my head. kind of a clunky way to put it but before this i'd change my header logo and general "branding" like once every three months, yet this one has stuck around for like 2ish years!! here it is in my classic colorway and my new green/orange one.

here are a couple of my older logos for a bunch of random projects (a comic about evil horses, a defunct community project, a bunch of little glyphs for hypnagog before i settled on my current aesthetic, and one for story about evil clones)

here are three posters i did for a couple of classes, they're more illustrative than graphic design but there's still elements that feel close enough to gd for me to post lol (a pitch poster for ANOTHER comic i was working on, an editorial piece about the recent HPAI surge, and a quick zine about my experiences with internet horror)

and FINALLY. here's my web design stuff. full disclaimer, i learned how to code on neopets, and i've never been able to break free of it's pull, so p much everything i've ever done for web design has all been on neopets, or on clone sites that emulate it pre-2007.

i'd love to link you these two but they're unfortunately behind a login screen on my current petsim of choice, so i hope the screenshots will do! these two are pet lookups coded from the ground up to look like social media profile pages (fun sidenote: Butch has a normal profile, Ransom is a silly hacker stereotype, and he had no choice but to "customize" his profile when faced with the insanely unsecured back-end of LUNET.)

aside from that, my other most recent web project was developing a really sleek character directory for my toyhou.se. i made all the graphics on this page and i'm super proud of it, haha.

oh i almost forgot. i also have a bunch of really dumb banners that my friends and i use in discord in tandem with a bot that posts them on command - most of them are intentionally designed to look bad, but some of em (especially the data "webba" banner) were made with a lot of care, haha.

i think i might be forgetting some things, but that's pretty much it! my next big project is building out my neocities - i'll definitely post about it when its finished because i wanna use it as a secondary posting location for all my stuff :o]
