I live knowing the Captain loves Abba and I can firmly believe he has watched the mamma mia movies with kitty. Kitty definitely loves Sky and the Captain thinks every guy, and even some of the dads are hot. They even got Pat to watch with them cuz it was ABBA.

The Captain watched Kingsman once, he thought Harry was hot and deserves to be Arthur (he was set in a state of shock after watching the man get shot in the head in the first movie 💀💀). He literally left right after he got shot, but Pat insisted he sits back down. When he watched the second movie, the Captain had to do some self reflection about his gay ass

Okay sO, I've added two songs to the "Charlie's Cap" playlist I made, right ? Both of them are songs titled Honey.

The first one is by an Australian musician named Daniel Reeve (and btw this mf currently has like...22 monthly singers on Spotify. he is NOT known.) Very good song, highly recommend. ANYWAYS, it's the chorus that's very Caplike.

"Hey there honey don't you ever think of loving yourself/ cuz you're sounding kinda funny and you're leaning on somebody else/[first line again]/ Cuz you spend a lotta money just to end up back in hell"

And well...the whole "loving yourself" bit is just sO Cap. He really doesn't see anything valuable within him and AAAAA. And in LtF he relies on Damien (damian ?) to feel better which ofc is a fUCKIN mistake and then leans on Pat and learns to open up to others ("leaning on somebody else")

I can't find the exact lyrics to the song cuz, again, small artist but I know there's something about the singer asking what this person is running from or whatever. i think it's something like "it's not like i ever asked but no one really knows what she's running from" which is Some people because they don't wanna bother Cap cuz he's all grumpy. "And even if they did she wouldn't tell because the trust just feels wrong" to those who do try and find out, they either get Cap deflecting or vague answer cuz he doesn't open up about shit (until after a breakdown.)

Also, I know i related this mostly to LtF but the chorus to This honey sounds like it's to the Captain from the perspective of Heather Button in TQATD. Cap leaning on Heather cuz she's someone who won't judge him for what he is.

If we're gonna try and relate this to Adored!Cap well...the whole "know one knows what she's running from, trust just feels wrong" line can be linked to that. Cap running from the fact that he's not in fact constantly annoyed at Pat and instead actually is just head over heels for the man but Will Not Accept It cuz ofc. And the whole "trust just feels wrong" with the two of them sleeping together and shit but Cap still not being open with Pat and keeping him at arms length at all times despite everything that's happened between the two of them.

and the one line i haven't mentioned from this song. "Please lord may tomorrow be sunny." I mean this is pretty self explanatory but basically just Cap wanting things to go back to normal after he's done something he'll beat himself up about and regret wishing he never did it and all that.

Thank you for coming to my (first) TEDTalk. Please give this song a listen it's sO good. Hopefully this all made sense cuz I do kinda jump all over the place but i have THOUGHTS. Turns out it's more than the chorus that i can relate to Cap. Love that man. Ben Willbond you are an amazing actor and CHARLIE...your writing is fuckin STELLAR ! N E wayz...time to go write the second TEDTalk for the other Honey song i can relate to Cap >:)

my man Daniel Reeve has twenty one monthly listeners on spotify bestie, 21!! but you know what, the song totally slaps and I absolutely understand what you're getting at with it!

I do really enjoy writing a Cap who doesn't know how to love himself, and also doesn't understand the kind of behaviours to expect from people who do love him. so often the journeys in my fics involve realisations about what he's feeling, how he's treating other people, how he's letting himself be treated unkindly, etc etc. this song is *chef's kiss* in terms of that.

GODDDD the 'it's not like i ever asked' bit really struck a chord with me in terms of Cap. I always write him as hard to get to know, very much not wanting to delve into personal stuff, but at the same times he feels so much and doesn't have an outlet for all the emotions, and no one ever asks :( and yes, you're right, even if they do, he deflects.

ohh yes the chorus totally works for TQATD, and also for Adored too! definitely the lack of trust between them, while also somehow trusting each other when they're at their most physically vulnerable. make it make sense.

"please lord may tomorrow be sunny" 🥺😭my man spends SO much time in all the different fics I write beating himself up about all manner of shite. that's why I always try to stretch out the happy endings in my fics too, they are sickly sweet but it's what he deserves.

I just got messaged by a blog calling me out on calling the team “Idiots” (or rather the fandom the “Idiots’ Club”. 

“It’s not very nice,” she said. 

“It’s the term I’ve seen someone (maybe Jim?) say in a tweet, referring to the team, and lots of the fandom use in reference to them and the fandom while going through all the tags.” I said. “Plus it’s a fun ironic term since they started on a show about History.”

“Well it’s not a nice thing to say unless it’s meant to be light hearted. And I’m from England so” she said.

“Good for you?” I said. 

I’m fuckin dyin mates

But then I thought... let me do some research. And I found the Idiots Assembled twitter. An (I assume) fan made twitter about the crew’s new shows etc. Which most of the team follow. So I sent them the link, “They seem cool with it. I suppose we don’t take it personally?”

AND THEN SHE BLOCKED ME. So I jumped on my other account and looked up their blog. “I’ll feel bad if they’re a child,” I thought. Cause you know how parents are always telling kids that “Shut up” and “stupid” are bad words?

Turns out she claims to be a lesbian but every instance of fandom pointing out LGBTQ things in character is shot down by her. Also she is Lady Explains The Joke, that never needs explanation. And is one of those posters that just types “yes” or “LOL” on posts. I’m fuckin weeping

For example on the post she was so up in arms about she reblogged and said “It has a story”

THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN.

But let’s get to the bigger issue
