Bang! It happened too quickly. From one moment to another, everything sped through at the speed of light, and now here they were. Blood. Endless amount of blood pouring onto the pavement. Their rings were soaked in it. Time stood still as everyone processed each second. Bits and pieces made sense in each person's mind, but as a whole, the Forger family was lost.

To hear that they were her favorite merc to work with, they felt like the prettiest cyberpeacock preening their feathers. Mercenaries needed buddies they could count on, employers who brought gigs to them thanks to trust in their work. Even someone who was a Media was a valuable asset, but....Lynn was more than an asset! She's a friend! She's a choom! Vale would rush headfirst into combat to make sure Lynn was safe and kickin' Corpo ass and criminal ass!

Embarrassed, Vale fixed all of the things they managed to knock over on Lynn's desk. Pens, pencils, papers that were clattered to the floor are picked up and sat back into a pile on her desk. Their leg hopping excitedly under the desk, V's green eyes were focused on Lynn, twinkling and shining with pride in their work.

"Why's that? I mean!! Thank you!! That means the world to me! You're fuckin' preem too!! But, lots of people think I'm just a dumb kid! S'why it means a lot when people like what I do!"

For his part, Victor behaved well in front of the cameras. He would smile at everyone and answer questions to the best of his ability. On the outside, it looked like he was having a good time. He told them that he was looking forward to the next skating season and everything else in the future. Deep down, he was lost. He was missing something in his life. He didn't want to deal with press conferences anymore. All he wanted was to go home, curl up with Makkachin, eat chocolate, and maybe read a good book before going to bed. He was behind on his reading anyway.
