It hurts, knowing that so many people hate you just because of things you can't change. The fact that people like me are still the buts of jokes today is always a slap in the face, no matter how many times its drilled into my skull by people around me. Even when I watch videos covering these issues, it never feels like the substance is enough. Not enough people watch videos like that, they'd rather listen to an antisemetic racist or a transphobe who pretends they know more about us than we do. People of privilege like to turn their brains off, but people like me don't have the chance. I guess it's the fact that most of the videos about these issues that pop up, that have any numbers, etc, are made by cishet white men. Those are the people who are listened to. Sometimes, trying to crawl out of that seems helpless. Clawing my way up to relevance when im just some guy with not enough drive and not enough cash feels useless. I want to do something, I want to be someone important so I can help and do what I can but I'm at a midpoint in my life and I hate it. I'm on my way but I'm not far enough and I'm watching the world burn. It's frustrating. I don't think I can fix everything, obviously. I don't even know if I'll fix anything. I just want to be doing something so fucking bad and I can't yet. Sometimes it just feels like im trying to swim to the surface with a weight strapped to my ankle.

📓- do you actually write in your notebooks

Nope! I keep everything in either Google Docs or Discord :] However I do a lot of concept sketches in a separate sketchbook, it’s much easier to explore character design on paper than digital for me personally

I’d guess that I’m so used to digital being my super polished work while paper is where I do more relaxed stuff, so I can explore more messy/baby concepts on paper

📖- favorite thing about your current wip

Going with DOTS here, I’m really proud of how they’ve developed over the years; I’m happy to be able to develop an original story and really hope I’ll never be called a “ripoff” again

Another thing that’s more development-wise, I’m honestly kind of proud of how I was able to fit a bunch of color-related topics into DOTS’ lore! Primary colors, white light, pigment terminology... all are just basic things you never really think about but actually end up helping the full worldbuilding of DOTS lmao

🔮- what genre do you enjoy writing

Judging by 2/3rds of my major WIPs, I feel like they’re all fantasy stories that look bright and colorful on the surface but end up having darker themes and moments, oops lmao

DOTS’ world is inspired by the world of color, but the things the Paladins go through as well as the full “lore” of the world tends to put DOTS into near existential territory

ETSS’ world could’ve stopped at the massive celestial empires and over-the-top fantasy designs, but it is definitely a darker story where kids go through... well, things kids shouldn’t be going through

AuAg is the odd one out of the main three, since what you see is what you get; a story about criminals fucking each other over after the downfall of the sin-filled casino they all work at

But even my other stories tend to be fantasy stories with rich, imaginative worldbuilding that ends up having darker themes lmao

- Rivals of Prisma/Powershift also being a story about color coded people but this time perhaps being about rivals whose loathing for one another trascends time and worlds

- MAR/Blue Light having color coded secret agents doing spy-ish shit but also being about the existentialism of not being in control of your life and something something about an atlas complex and the main protagonist constantly having issues about what’s real or not

- Dream.exe being about kids with fairy tale superpowers who can travel through dream lands but being a cover for a dark science experiment

- A Story Told being about knights and fairies but also one of the main characters is meant to be a lost prince whose people were wiped out

- Secrets of the Gem Council being about magical witch girls (and one were-corvid) going on adventures together but also being involved in solving a massive murder mystery and running into bandits and assassins along the way

- Dragon Destiny (granted, I will change the title someday) being about science experiment color coded dragons but one of the main characters is trying to heal from his trauma of not being “perfect” enough and being subjected to horrific experiments to make him “perfect” while also trying to keep his secret dragon/human hybrid daughter a secret when his lover and the baby’s mom is a high profile person and also his old creator is hunting him down for escaping his labs and most importantly, his control

- Infinity Crisis starting off as a series exploring a bunch of friends in a virtual reality MMO RPG but soon the secrets behind the game’s development ends up putting everyone’s lives in danger, whether it be characters suffering from comas, getting hunted and assassinated, and people going sorta mad from all the events happening. Also the idea of a found family that is broken at the beginning of the series, because One Event just causes everyone to break apart from their differing morals and leaving everyone to dwell over what the hell were they getting themselves into when all they wanted to do was help develop a game that would connect with a passionate audience, but all their hard work and now their relationships are haunted by the trauma they faced

Granted other stories I have are just Dark Dark, but I guess I just love designing quirky colorful characters but it contrasts heavily with my more heavy writing decisions lmao

      be warned, the following headcanon contains heavy spoilers to c.yberpunk 2077.

              ON SURVIVAL, THE RELIC, AND DECLINING THE INVITATION TO THE 27 CLUB...

      the heist did not go as planned. that much is obvious, and if there’s one thing that v could take back from his time in night city, it would be mixing with d.exter d.eshawn. the scenario played out as horrendously as one could imagine: s.aburo a.rasaka was killed by his son, y.orinobu while v and jackie watched on, the relic’s case was damaged as the trauma team arrived, jackie was fatally injured and slotted the relic into himself to save it, and jackie passed away inside of the d.elamain cab, bequeathing the relic’s protection unto v. his remains were delivered to his mother and v pulled himself together to meet d.ex at the no-tell motel. d.ex shot v in the head, execution style, and that’s all she wrote.

      except, the bullet did not kill him. the relic did not restart his system, and the engram of j.ohnny s.ilverhand’s personality did not begin taking over v’s body. six months came and passed. v still fought to find a way to get the relic out of his body. it’s been seven and a half years since the heist and vincent akker is still alive and kicking it in night city, causing all sorts of terror and hell in the name of whatever fixer can pay him the right sum. successfully he declined the invitation to the 27 club, and while he hasn’t made it onto the a.fterlife’s drink menu just yet, he’s still padding his resume.

      he still sees johnny, however. the relic is still slotted into his neural port, unable to be removed. his brush with death was enough to bring the once-famous r.ockerboy terrorist into his consciousness, but not enough to activate the purpose of the relic. when t.akemura found v in the landfill v was very close to death. without his help, v would have absolutely flatlined and the relic would have begun its designated sequence. isn’t v a lucky boy?

      however. it cannot be removed. while it hasn’t begun entirely invading his mind and erasing his personality ( v is still very much v, so you’ve all just been dealing with one former-nomad, trigger-happy gremlin ), johnny still very much has the capability to chip into the conversation whenever he so pleases. the relic is waiting for the host body to flatline at any time. the sequence will begin, and v will eventually be faced with the problem he would have otherwise faced had d.ex’s bullet ended his life in the no-tell motel.

      still living on borrowed time, just much more of it. suffice it to say, johnny knows v quite well by now. and isn’t that fun?
