Slice of life Jedi Order thoughts

anyway, take a bunch of thoughts about the Jedi Order’s day to day life

The temple is never silent. Either the diurnial or the nocturnal Jedi are up. A lot of activities are timed to include both, hence most events being hold at sunset / sunrise

The idea of cooking just for yourself is just weird. If you cook, it’s for at least one more person. Large communal kitchen where you can just pick anything up at all times

Some Jedi might live alone in their rooms, others share. Why wouldn’t you live together with your Padawan or best friends? And if your friend takes on a Padawan, guess you’re also feeling at least a little responsible for it

Large greenhouses where they plant their own vegetables and fruits and herbs. It’s a bit of a tradition to bring home new plants from different planets if they aren’t already in the temple so lots of botanical gardens as well

art and music rooms! they probably have long hallways where they just display art and you can probably always find a jedi somewhere in the gardens or halls, playing an instrument

mixed environment rooms! Masters with aquatic Padawans or the other way round. Constant (fond) bickering about room temperature and so on

mixed aged classes and everyone’s special interest gets suported. There are probably hundreds of classes/club.

The most experienced get to teach a class. If that means the 20-year-olds attend a seminar on Alderaani High Republic Romanticism Poetry being taught by a thirteen-year-old who took a deep dive into that topic last summer then that means that you get taught by that 13 y/o

They probably have an in-house network with a list of abilities/interests people have so they cna just search what person can teach them what

Age honestly is fairly irrelevant when it comes to teaching, as should be whether you pass or fail an exam/course. You can try again, asking for the support you need

You probbaly have to write something like a bachelors or masters thesis about a chosen subject when you become a Knight.

Hobbies are all over the palce. From ancient old fashioned ryloth weaving to modern Naboo waterpainting

A lot of celebrations and holidays about the Force or certain important battles being won from the Jedi, but also celebrating holidays of the cultures the members of the Order are from

Central Regulation for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals in India

Background

The Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoL&E), Government of India and Labour Departments of the State Governments and Union Territories are responsible for Occupational Safety and Health of workers, as the subject of “Welfare of Labour including conditions of work”. Safety and health occupy a significant place in India's Constitution, which prohibits employment of children under the age of 14 in factories, mines and hazardous occupations. This policy aims to protect the health and strength of all workers by discouraging employment in occupations unsuitable to the worker's age and strength. Legislation on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) has existed in India for over 70 years. The principal health and safety laws are based on the British Factories Act.

The Legal frame work covering Occupational Health and Safety in India for the Industries is by The Factories Act 1948, while The Mines Act, 1952, Mines Rules, 1955 covers Mining industries. The Dock Workers (Safety, Health & Welfare) Act, 1986 & The Dock Workers (Safety, Health & Welfare) Regulations, 1990 covers Dock operations, while The Building & Other Construction Workers (Regulations of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996) covers Construction Industry. In addition to the above mentioned legal structure, there are several other Acts, Rules and Regulations to ensures that all of their guidelines for health and safety are followed govern & guide for the workplace health and safety. The Factories Act which has been amended from time to time, it covers only a trivial proportion of workers.

The Chief Inspector of Factories deals with the subject relating to OSH in the case of Factories at state level, while the Directorate General of Mine Safety (DGMS) is responsible for its implementation. OHS implementation for the Port sector is the responsibility of Directorate General of Factory Advisory Services (DGFASLI). Director General Labour Welfare (DGLW) (Labour welfare organization) is dealing the matters concerning policy and legislation related to workers in the un organized sector in India. The Building and Other Construction Workers’ Act, 1996, is being enforced by the Labour Commissioners at the Centre and at the State Level.

Apart from the legislative part with respect to Occupational Health and Safety, the Employers have a legal as well as social obligation to ensure their work environment is safe and regularly assessed for risk factors. There are the obvious and serious risks of injury and fatalities as a result unsafe practices. Poor workplace safety can cost companies substantial money, time and leave employers open to expensive legal liability. Non-compliance can risk significant fines, further compensatory liabilities, and reputational damage, the costs of compensation and lost time due to incidents.

Even if the workplace is a safe environment, employers still have additional obligations; employer must also make sure they have appointed a qualified person to be responsible for health and safety checks, assessments, and enforcement within the workplace. Appointing a qualified health and safety professionals fulfils employer’s legal requirement and also supports employer to mitigate future liability and more importantly reduces the strain of micro-management on employers and employees within the workforce when trying to prevent injury and fatality. At present there are no stringent regulatory control over practicing OHS Professionals and there are lack of guidelines for OHS professionals in India, many of the people claiming to be OHS professionals are practicing without any formal education with respect to Occupational Health and Safety and/or professional training. That poses a public safety danger to Indian workers.

In Germany, Australia and Italy, for example, federal and regional governments regulate the educational and professional qualifications required to work as an OHS professional. In the United Kingdom have placed in position an umbrella legislation and an apex institution to cover health and safety of workers in all the sectors and have devised sound mechanism for achieving significant development results. OHS professionals are regulated by Royal Charter status, which delegates oversight of the field to a government-recognized association.

In Singapore, Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHOs) are regulated by the Workplace Safety and Health Regulations. To practise as a WSH Officer in Singapore, one has to be registered with Ministry of Manpower. In order to be a WSHO in Singapore, one must initially have successfully completed a training course to equip himself/herself to be a WSHO and have at least Two year’s practical experience relevant to the work to be performed by a WSHO in Singapore.

Overall, several countries with similar systems of government to India are leaders on regulating Occupational Health and Safety professionals, which ensures consistency and drives best practices for the health and safety of workers. In India, the trend towards government oversight of professions is clear and strong. Clearly, there is still much room to improve OHS regulations and outcomes in India. A cornerstone of that push for safer and healthier workplaces should be the study of other countries and their success in that area. Also, regulating Occupational Health and Safety professionals would be essential and important step like some of countries have done. It is imperative that India also adopts a similar approach within a compressed time frame. It would be a significant step forward in making India’s workplaces safer and healthier. In addition, it shall bring the recognition and respect for the practicing professionals.

Writer’s view for improvements;

The Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoL&E) must introduce the mandatory requirements of Registration for OHS professionals engaged in Occupational Health and Safety practice.

An individual professional shall be registered as OHS Professionals in one of the following category based on his/her present OHS work profile;

1.OHS Auditor (Lead Auditor, Auditor, Consultant, Adviser, Specialist) - Evaluate, observe and make suggestions to improve the effectiveness of OHS Management systems.

2.OHS Officer (Managers, Engineers, Officers, Executives) – Identify assess, control and manage OHS risks and develop OHS management systems and culture.

3.OSH Staff (OHS Supervisor, Inspector, Coordinator, Administrators, Technicians) – Coordinate and monitor the implementation of OHS management systems for recognition, assessment, control and management of OHS risks.

4.OHS Representative (Advocates, Legal advisers).

Program Draft specimen;

All the practicing OHS Professional must have valid registration irrespective of whether that the candidate is citizen of India or from overseas wiling to practice in India.

OHS Trainee can be excluded from the registration process still they remain as OHS Trainee. Upon eligibility, the individual OHS trainee can apply for registration on submission of necessary OHS prerequisite qualifications and OHS work activity report validate from the OHS department of his/her work organization/s.

Age: at least 21 years

Academics Requirements:

Minimum qualification desired is;

Diploma in Engineering from Govt. recognized Institution, or

Bachelor of Science from Govt. recognized Institution, or

Engineering Degree from Govt. recognized Institution, plus

OHS Qualifications Requirements: Minimum requirements to be recognized as OHS Professional are;

Applicant must hold one of the following OHS Professional qualification,

Diploma in Industrial Safety, as issued by the State Government Departments/Boards of Technical Education, Government of India

Advanced Diploma Course in Industrial Safety, from RLI’s & CLI’s India Regional Labour Institutes (RLI) in Chennai, Faridabad, Kanpur, and Kolkata and the Central Labor Institute in Mumbai (CLI).

Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Govt. recognised University or and Institutions.

** Applicant possessing Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Govt. recognised Institutions may be exempted from the listed above Academic Qualification.

Governing body need to decide how they can include the overseas OHS Professionals, in case they are allowed to practice, the individual must get registration done as OHS professional from the authorities provided they meet registration criteria including age, work experience, (the individual need to provide documentary proof, e.g. a testimonial from your employer specifying clearly the period of employment where you served in a OSH-related designation) and applicant must hold one of below mentioned the credentials at the time of registration:

· Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from BCSP, USA.

· Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

· NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, UK.

· Professional Member of Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO).

· Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).

Note: Above mentioned credentials are merely example of well-known credentials for OHS Professionals. It is the discretion of OHS Professional registration authority for include similar other education programs or omit from the list above.

Work Experience:

In order to qualify for the OHS Professional, the applicant meet following requirements.

*Minimum 1 years of work experience for the applicant holding Master and/or Bachelor’s, in Industrial Safety or Occupational Health & Safety.

*Minimum 2 years of work experience for the applicant holding Diploma or Advance Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety or Occupational Health & Safety.

Registration Validity:

Registration shall be required to be renewed every 5 years after initial enrolment. Registered OHS professional need to maintain the records in the form of Continual Development Professional Development (CPD). Individual need to submit the documented evidence related to CPD upon advised by Registration authority. CPD refers to the development of new skills or knowledge and maintenance of existing knowledge and skills to ensure it remains up to date. CPD can be undertaken for personal or professional development.

Similar to OHS Professionals, the registration process must be initiated for Industrial Hygienist (IH)/Occupational Hygienist (OH) professionals practicing in India, with inclusion of requirements of IH qualifications, work experiences etc.

Note: Details specified under work experience and other categories are purely an examples. It is up to the Registration authority to carryout changes in the requirements.

My Favorite Albums of 2020

It’s that time of year again! I’m a bit late on this since it took me a bit to finish off my list of new releases, but it’s time now! Here we will be looking at my top 10 favorite albums of 2020. I also did a post on my top 5 favorite EP’s and you check that out here!

Before we get into this, let me explain my system. I compile a list of majority of the releases I checked out over the year and have them separated into three categories: the good, the ones that have potential to be favorites, and the favorites. The good will have ** marked next to them and the potential favorites will have *** next to them. I didn’t have many releases this year that didn’t make it onto my list, which is great to hear.

As always, let me give some disclaimers. First and foremost: these are my personal thoughts and opinions on these releases. If you think a release should be higher, lower, or not even on my list, that is on you. Second: I am a metalhead, so most of the releases you will see on here are metal releases.

10. Nightwish - Human. :||: Nature.

Ok, hear me out Nightwish stans. This album wonderful, but given that I don't listen to disc two and that there's a song on here that I don't like has it this low. Just be glad this one made it onto my list unlike their last album. Also his album was in a three-way tie for 10th place in my list. Anyways, this was a strong release from them. I love how they really figured out what it was they wanted EFMB to sound like. It's different, more symphonic, a bit on the gentle side; all while still maintaining that fairytale essence that we've all grown to love from them.

9. The Birthday Massacre - Diamonds

I'm not gonna lie, I fell off these guys a bit in recent years since their newer music wasn't doing enough for me. This album definitely changed that. This album is so lovely. I definitely love how they're going in a more ambient/shoegaze type of direction now. It really adds such a lovely dimension to their sound. Yeah I miss hearing the stronger sides of Chibi's voice, but this more delicate side is really lovely.

8. Ani Lo. Projekt - A Time Called Forever

This is a band that I discovered this year through their record label. I was blown away by just how strong her voice was. They definitely skew more towards progressive power metal than symphonic progressive metal, but I still definitely love this release. It's very strong, a lot of fun, and has a very solid production. Also wasn't expecting her to go full mezzo-soprano at times.

7. Aeternam - Al Qassam

This is another band I discovered this year. A model/performer/singer I like, Mahafsoun, was featured in a music video for this album so decided to give them a go. I'm a sucker for oriental metal bands. The strong production, beefy riffs, and lovely orchestrations really make this release for me. And their frontman has such a lovely voice.

6. Operus - Score of Nightmares

Once again, this is another band I discovered this year. After really liking the first song I heard from them, I decided to check out more from them. Such a great decision. This is the type of power metal I love. Dark, a strong symphonic element, and their frontman doesn't sound like every single power metal singer out there. In fact, he's a tenor! Yes, another male opera singer fronting a metal band! He doesn't go full tenor often, but when he does I always lose it.

5. Dool - Summerland

This album is so lovely. If you've never heard of this band, the best way I can describe their sound is if Black Sabbath and Fleetwood Mac had a baby. It's dark and doomy, while still having a light and airy production. I feel this album really shows off just how diverse and beautiful Ryanne's voice is. It's haunting, fun, pretty, and most importantly dark.

4. Snow White Blood - Hope Springs Eternal

I had such high hopes for this release and it definitely didn't disappoint. Something that I love about this band is that they don't rely on the fact that Uli is a soprano and don't have her going full soprano in every song like most symphonic metal bands do. The fact that their lyrics are about fairytales, but they're still able to give the song such a dark spin at times is always great. The power and beauty this band exudes is so wonderful.

3. Oceans of Slumber - Oceans of Slumber

I was a bit worried about this release at first given how different the singles were. But after giving it a full listen many times, I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about. It's still very different, but it still sounds like them. It has the heaviness of Winter and the darkness of The Banished Heart, but they also played with soul and low key have a country song on this release. It's such a unique release for them, but those haunting vocals and dark landscapes remind you it's them.

2. Arkan - Lila H

I was not expecting to love this album as much as I do. I had a feeling I'd really like it, but nowhere to this degree. It's so powerful and intense while still managing to maintain a level of beauty thanks to Manuel's cleans. The dualities between beauty and intensity play so well together on this album. I also love how proggy this album is compared to previous releases. It gives it such a fresh feel to it.

1. Delain - Apocalypse and Chill

Am I biased given that Delain is my favorite band of all time to have them be my favorite release of the year? Yes. Do I care? No. The production on this album is so good and I love how much they experimented with new things (having a choir, Charlotte screaming on a track, leaning into djent a bit more) while still staying true to themselves. And the theme of the album is really great look at the world, especially given how shit this year was overall. And just a heads up about the favorite songs, Masters of Destiny isn't on there since it was on Hunter's Moon which was released last year and I listed it as a favorite off that release.

And that’s all for 2020! Although this was a pretty shit year, there were definitely some amazing albums to come out of it. 2021 is already starting to look like a fun year for music and I cannot wait to hear what amazing gems will come out of it. But until then, I hope you all enjoy this list!

It’s uh actually not repressed at all. And boy do I have a list!

Fullmetal Alchemist: This list isn't in any order but if it WAS. Fullmetal would be at the top of the list. Every list. FMA is the best anime and a plot that is beyond amazing. It's a story of two brothers who make a mistake and travel trying to fix it getting caught up with a deliciously complex cast of character with a tight, fascinating storyline. Stop reading this and go read FMA immeaditely or, if you prefer anime, FMA: Brotherhood. (FMA 03 is amazing too in it's own way but I still prefer Brohood)

Boku no Hero Academia: This is basically how I live now. For those (like me) who've gotten burnt out on the grimdark, confusing American superhero comics, bnha is the answer. A cinnamon role protagonist wants to be a hero and is trained by his idol and new dad so he can get into Sky High. A great storyline with a well-developed, likable cast and it's just?? so pure and optimistic and good and it makes me so happy. Also, all the good dads.

Detective Conan: Been a DC fan forever. It's a bonkers concept of a 17 year old genius detective who gets turned into a 7 year old that somehow makes you forget how stupid it is by some really well thought out mysteries and an overarching plot that's captivating. But it's over 1000 chapters but! it might be ending soon.

Magic Kaito: the precursor to Detective Conan, the story of a magician thief who steals and returns jewels. It starts out silly but progressively gets more serious. Kaito Kid is often seen in DC and is always one of the more popular characters despite not appearing all that often.

Blue Exorcist: Okumura Rin and Yukio are twins but they find out that they're actually the sons of Satan. Rin inherits his father's power and the church wants to kill him but Rin decides to embark on a quest to become a powerful exorcist and defeat Satan. Rin is a real good boy and I love him sm. Another great cast of characters and ohhhh boooy are things getting bad in the manga right now.

Soul Eater: Wonderful series. So some people have the ability to transform into weapons. They work in pairs with people who can bond with them to defeat the evils of the world commanded by Lord Death. Maka and her weapon Soul are the protags and the best example of a healthy, caring relationship (not romantic, just pure relationships). Another great, tight storyline with dueteragonists, Black Star and Tsubaki plus Death the Kid with Liz and Patty.

Kuroshisuji (Black Butler): Please read the manga not the anime which is disturbing and very Lolita-esque. Ciel Phantomhive is a 13 year odl rich earl in 1890's London with his capable butler. But all is not as it seems, Ciel is an 'evil noble' who uses his position to clean out unfavorable for the Queen and his butler is actually a demon. Ciel sold his soul to Sebastian to save him after his family was murdered and Sebastian will help him with his duties and help Ciel find his family's killers and then eat his soul.

Ouran High School Host Club: Pure. Haruhi is a nonbinary female scholarship student to the school of the fabulously wealthy. She winds up in the male host club disguised as a boy. It's your typical shoujo but it also makes fun of the stereotype and, as the manga progresses, gets very in-depth into the characters and has some A++ development. Do not miss, but be warned, the manga is long!

One Punch Man: I started this as a joke and ended up loving the fun, satirical style that makes fun of Dragon Ball Z-esque over the top anime. Saitama wanted to be a hero so he trained and accidently became super humanly strong. Now he's just bored by everything and is looking for a good fight that will last more than one punch. His student is a very earnest cyborg who's great.

D. Gray-Man: Again, taking place in 19th century England, Allen Walker is an exorcist, part of the Order who helps destroy demons which are created by the Millennium Earl. All exorcists use a substance called Innocence to destroy demons and Allen's is imbedded in his arm. I loved DGM when it started but it got sort of weird near the end and I've g=kind of lost track of the last 10 or so chapters. But Allen's drunk master is my fav, Cross Marian 4 lyfe

DGM HEADCANONS: The Lovers Pt. 1

Ever wonder what kind of lovers the main four would be?

Allen

★ Doesn’t go into a relationship unless he is absolutely sure that he’s in love and that the person he loves, loves him back.

★ Painfully shy in the beginning. Don’t even dare to hold hands in public.

★ Kisses are always quick and hidden (In some corners or in the darkness of the night) leaving both wanting more.

★ Will be a super gentleman in the beginning but as you get closer to each other, you start to see the real him. (Which he unconsciously shows and didn’t know until someone pointed it out)

★ Will listen to all your problems even if he’s drowning in his own.

★ Will be surprised when you tell him that you want to listen to his problems too.

★ Keep you ten thousands of feet away from Cross. He ain’t going to let his master get his hands on you.

★ Rarely ever gets jealous or possessive but literally will not allow you to be alone with certain people (ie...Kanda, Tyki...and he’s considering adding Road to the list -Remembers Road tore his eye out- Yep, Roads on the blacklist too) and gets irritated when someone gets handsy with you.

★ Will beat himself up if he ever forgotten an important date or anniversaries. But will go through lengths to make up for it.

★ Will constantly remind you that he’s lucky to have you in his life.

★ Will probably be the first of the four to propose unless the 14th was starting to awaken which he will probably distance himself until you confront him that you will love him no matter what. He breaks down crying.

★ Will protect you even if it costs him his life.

Kanda

♣ (...clubs because he will probably club you if he’s mad? Get it? No? Ok...Jokes over)

♣ Mr. Quick to Anger but Slow to Everything Else...including his feelings. He won’t notice that he’s in love until someone screams it in his face and even then, he would take forever to confess.

♣ Not big on physical affection. Imagine that you want to hold hands with him on your date? Forget it. Hug him in public? Do you even care for your life?

♣ He will be irritatingly shy and hide it in irritating ways until he realised that he hurt your feelings and will relent only for a bit. (Here. Give me your hand.)

♣ Kisses with him are steamy like the sauna, especially when you two are alone. He’s pretty rough and you can practically feel the passion of his love. Dizziness and out of breath by the end of it.

♣ He’s still acts the same even though he’s in love but you can spot out the differences that came in small cues. Like his concern for you or allowing you to stay by his side even when he’s meditating.

♣ Silently grunts as you rants to show that he’s listening (even when he’s methodically cleaning Mugen) but he has a limit for these kind of things. He’ll probably need 24 hours of silence to get his mood back to normal again.

♣ But if you’re silently suffering or in pain, he would silently show you he care by lending a shoulder.

♣ Rarely ever share his problems. But will feel grateful when you trust him enough to let him be and come to you on his own terms.

♣ Possessive as f...k (can I say that?) Hands itching to get Mugen when guys/girls get too friendly with you.

♣ Will probably forget important birthdays and anniversaries. And when that happens he will be teased and insulted by Lavi and Allen (and Mugen is unleashed!). But will casually make up for it with surprises and silent apologies.

♣ Grateful that you’re in his life but will never tell you that.

♣ Will be the last to propose. He literally never think about marriage unless you poke at him.

♣ Will throw himself in danger to protect you but will train you to make sure that you can handle yourself in the future. (Prepare for a world of pain...ahem...I mean training)
