Honestly I think I speak for everybody when I say that if Disney absolutely HAD to dig up their classic films, I would rather get sequels than live action remakes.

Like the straight to DVD sequals had potential and a couple of them were actually good. If they had higher budgets and more time to work on them I think that more of them would be really great.

They dug up older charecters but at the VERY LEAST had some original ideas and concepts, again preferably I would want neither but if a Disney exec put a gun to my head and asked me wether I wanted to see "live action" versions of Robin Hood, Hercules, Snow White, and Treasure Planet OR a full blown sequel, I will pick the sequals

Idk how true this is, but this would the perfect opportunity for Ariana Grande to pass the role to her friend Liz Gillies. Since it’s going around she’s not a girls girl, her trying to help her friend to star in a Disney movie would earn her major points. It would show she values her friends, like Liz has spoken about loving Megara and wanting to be her actress if there ever was a live action movie.

All the hit Disney animated musicals have been done in the style of Broadway musicals. That's what saved Disney animation in the 90s and in the 2000s. Ashman and Menken. Menken and Zippel. Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Lin-Manuel Miranda.

But let's flush that down the toilet, because we're gonna follow a trend, because kids luv a trend. Kids who have 60 second attention spans and think anything created before 10 5 years ago isn't worth knowing. And we're gonna have songs done by "Grammy winners," pop stars who've never done musical storytelling.

OK hear me out — John Stamos as Hades in Disney’s live action Hercules!! He’s the right age, can scary and funny and charming, and he has Greek heritage. Honestly it’s weird how most movies set in Greece don’t cast Greek actors. And the few times they do, it’s only for very small roles (300, Mamma Mia!, Alexander, The Odyssey, etc.)

ok, why did you choose the movie based on a different culture's mythology to "do something different"??

OR EVEN BETTER, WHY DON'T YOU MAKE AN ORIGINAL MOVIE FOR ONCE??

When they made the live action Mulan they said they would try to make it more like the original Chinese poem out of respect for the culture. Now whether or not they actually achieved that is a completely different discussion that we should be having with Chinese people. But if they could at least pretend to be respectful there, why are they not even trying here??

The 1997 Hercules was already Americanised enough we don't need to degrade it even more. What are they going to do? Have Heracles do a fortnite dance??? Are all the songs going to be less than a minute long or something??

I think I'm speaking for the majority of Greek people when I say that no one wants to see that.

Please just stop!!

If you really want to "do something different" then stop making unnecessary sequels and "live-action" remakes. No one wants them.
