DSV 5.0 is Out!

Thank you for your patience and support, everyone! DSV 5.0 is now available, making DSV compatible with the new SDV 1.6 update.

Here's the changelog:

⭐ CONTENT CHANGES: ⭐ - Significant code overhaul which updates DSV to use 1.6's new Appearances system for more flexibility and better performance - Updated portraits & sprites to match 1.6 changes - Added 1.6's vanilla winter outfits as new Festival of Ice outfits with some recolouring and minor edits to match DSV's style guide. - Updated Penny's outfits and added new Spirits' Eve costumes - Updated Linus's outfits - Added new additional Spirits' Eve costumes for Robin and Demetrius - Added code so that DSV's darker-skinned variants are now correctly recognised as such for the purpose of determining the farmer's children's skintone. - Added assorted new dialogue lines - Edited new 1.6 dialogue to match DSV's variants as necessary - Expanded regular dialogue and gift taste dialogue to account for Jodi and/or Kent being Muslim depending on the player's choice of variants - Fixed map patches to account for 1.6's updated map interiors - Updated DSV's PPAF compatibility to match the new PPAF Core (not yet available, coming soon) - Updated DSV's RSV compatibility to match the updated Seasonal Outfits for Ridgeside Village - Assorted bug fixes

⭐ CONFIG CHANGES: ⭐ - Removed individual beachwear configs and replaced them with a single Vanilla Beach Style config, which can be set to DSV Style, Vanilla Style, or Random Beachwear - Added new Kent variants, Omani and Omani Disabled, and changed the previous Modded variant to Vanilla Disabled - Added new Maru Black Hair config, which changes Maru's ModdedLavender variant to have black hair instead of a pink ombre dye - Removed Seb Helmet config. Sebastian will now automatically wear a helmet and motorbike gear during his 10 heart event, matching DSV's other event-specific outfits. - Changed Willy's Disabled config to Vanilla Disabled, for consistency with Kent's new variants ⭐ DEPENDENCIES: ⭐ - Removed Antisocial NPCs and Custom NPC Exclusions as dependencies for Marigold / Linus's Modded variant. Sprites in Detail is still required for Marigold's sprites.

Elliott’s Immersive Wedding Mod v.2.0.0 is now up and ready to play!

Explore 3 new wedding day events with Elliott, including a wedding reception hosted at the Stardrop Saloon, as well as 2 intimate events with Elliott at home (PG - PG 13) in between events, and much more!

This new update also features new sprites and portraits based off my other mod, Elliott Scottish Wedding Kilt, as well as edited marriage dialogue with a little Scottish Gaelic affection sprinkled in.

Your choices in-game will affect your relationship with Elliott, as well as open up different opportunities for new events, revealing vanilla-based character growth for Elliott throughout your time together in Pelican Town.

More about this mod:

Elliott is an ISFP who is quirky, grandiose, and romantic but also largely misunderstood by others. In the beginning, his superficial traits tend to rub people the wrong way (melodramatic, vain, and “life-is-a-stage” type attitude) but getting to know and befriend him over the course of the game, we come to see him as a deeply passionate and highly motivated person, who is unapologetically true to himself and his values, despite the odds and adversity. Throughout your friendship, you see Elliott come out of his shell more and engage with the others around him, despite his history of rejection and discouragement.

Though much of his personal growth can be seen through heart events, dialogue, (and stalking him around town), I wanted to delve deeper into his character and explore how his choice to move to Pelican Town has shaped his personal growth, including his relationship with others in town - and most importantly - his relationship with the farmer, from friendship to marriage.

One of the options in Diverse Stardew Valley is to make Abigail nonbinary, which I happily turned on and went on my merry way, not thinking too much about it. And then I got hit with this little tidbit:

And it made me smile so big, folks. It also plays into my personal headcanon that despite his suspicions about Abby's parentage, he dotes on her.

anyways headcanons: (which i hope arent rly controversial😭)

Sam (he/hine) & Sebastian (he/him) are trans ftm (sam uses archaic pronouns //which are old english pronouns//)

Elliott is trans but like, in an amab falls under the enby spec way (he/they)

Penny is a trans girl (she/her)

Maru is non binary (she/they)

Abigail is def afab demigirl (she/they)

emily is genderqueer (any and ALL pronouns. will accept xeno and neo pronouns.)

abigail, maru, leah, and haley are nmlnm. (lesbian)

seb is straight, but strictly t4t

penny is pan

alex is a closeted gay guy (swears he isnt)

harvey and elliott are nonchalantly bi

shane doesnt give a shit abt the gender he dates, but doesnt label himself

we need more diverse stardew fan content!! i see everyone drawing Shane but where is Ecuadorian Shane whose dialogue and outfits change as he is doing better and closer with his community… Where is Samoan granny Evelyn talking about her recipes! Chinese-Filipino Pierre/Caroline/Abigail… plus sized Abigail!!! trans Sam and Penny! Non-binary Emily, Seb, Abby! Black Emily, Haley, and Elliot!!! Or Romani Emily & Haley — there are so many options!!! U can keep them vanilla or mod!!! I can keep on going on about the options… the representation isn’t just surface level IMO, the devs have done a great job adding dialogue, items in homes (pride flags, cultural decor…THEY ADD SHOE RACKS AND SHOES CUSTOM TO THE CHARACTERS!!), and other edits (if you choose to have characters be Jewish they go to the altar on Saturdays!!) AND DISABLED CHARACTERS! HARD OF HEARING HALEY! OH MY GOD THE SEASONAL OUTFITS!!!

…anyway i love this mod & since i don’t see much content for it i will have to make some myself…!

DSV 5.0 and outfits revamp for Penny!

Showcasing some of Diverse Stardew Valley's upcoming outfits for Penny, which will be available in DSV's 5.0 update after SDV 1.6 has released! DSV 5.0 will update DSV's code to take advantage of new Content Patcher structures available with 1.6, which will hopefully improve performance as well as allowing for additional cool content in the future and more outfit improvements! Our plan is to have DSV's code update ready to go within a day or two of SDV 1.6's release, with art updates to either be included or to be added within the next couple of weeks after that depending on how much will need adapting. Some of Penny's outfits have had an art touch-up while others have been completely overhauled to better fit DSV's style guide for her. Penny has three outfits per season, which vary depending on whether she's indoors, outdoors when it's sunny, or outdoors when it's raining. From top to bottom, the first four rows are her spring, summer, fall, and winter outfits, with the fifth row being her festival outfits (excluding the Festival of Ice, which will be replaced by her upcoming vanilla winter outfit), her pyjamas, her beach/swim outfits, and finally her Spirits' Eve costumes at the bottom! Although only three of her variants are shown here for the sake of having a neat compilation pic, all outfits are available for all of her variants. Penny's side ponytail hairstyle was created by Meowpix and her outfits were created by Airyn, Meowpix, notsnufffie, and lezbo.ivy.

Elaho's Cultural Flower Dance mod is now up and ready to go! Almost every character from the vanilla game now has unique sprites and portraits to reflect their cultural heritage, along with a few surprises and bonus content if specific mods are installed.
