We’ve been trying to get our DM on board with collaboratively coming up with the next DnD campaign setting. Three of us now have listened to The Adventure Zone’s version of The Quiet Year for Ethersea. For those who haven’t listened it’s game of cards and prompts for good things, bad things, and discoveries that happen to a settlement trying to reach an end goal. It makes for really organic storytelling with ups and downs and collaborative imaginative creation.
Our DM basically wants a setting similar to RWBY, isolated settlements beset with giant monsters and heroes traversing the realm. So it makes sense to build the capital city that we’ll play in, beset by monsters.
But instead he’s like, “I’ll just make random tables we roll on when you explore another area.” He read one card for The Quiet Year and was like, “Food? Scarcity? Hm, this isn’t cool, I can scan through it for ideas but I don’t know about this.”
And I just desperately want to snap. We’ve said over and over what we want is more immersion, more intricate political systems and world building. He just daydreams up scenarios but because he doesn’t ever spend time on the nitty gritty like food, scarcities, or abundances the worlds we navigate feel superficial and hazy.

ofmd vs stucky is the perfect embodiment of the complaint that, often, accidental gay stories are more compelling than the canon-but-for-diversty-quotas gay stories we've been getting the past ~5 years.
like yeah, those ugly ass pirates kissed (if you can call what they did kissing) but did their souls touch? did they find each other after a lifetime apart? did they come into a new life, men out of time, just to find the one piece of the past they thought they'd have to live without?

Ngl kinda fucked up tinkerbell in live action is black yet you can't see her. There's no glow at all. Yet animated has her standout cause of the glow/vibrant colors.
These scenes both take place in the dark. How fuck y'all cast a brown skin woman for " diversty" yet don't bother to show her beauty being a fairy but instead mut her upon ugly green, browns, and yellows >:/
That's some racist bullshit

i would love to know more about the specifics of how vampiric traits are inherited in castlevania universe, since dracula was once human would his vampirism be different than vampires who had lineages with each other? in what ways would a bloodline vampire/human child be different from alucard who is the child of a once human vampire and a human. alucard is more like two thirds human because dracula doesnt have a lineage of vampires before him, the affliction came after drac was a born a normal human. but that begs the question whether vampirism effects your dna, whether there are a diversty of "vampire genes" that can be passed down in a lineage. whether there are some bloodlines in universe which are enhanced by a single vampires genes mixing into an otherwise human family tree. in this exploratory essay i will be-

I just watched nctdream mma performance. They did great! I love a lot of the songs from this years albums. Just wondering why most nctdream songs don’t have the ‘signature’ sm out of nowhere high note. I still remember my shock when i first listened to sm song. It was shinee i think. Or exo? It is a completely different genre. Like it instantly clicks in my mind — oh is this what they meant by kpop? It was not. Maybe?
Anyway, it’s either dream don’t have the usual high note signature for their songs or i haven’t explored enough. Still new here btw. Their songs are honestly the easiest to digest amongst sm group songs (solos don’t usually follow sm template). If i were to rank the easiest to hardest, it’d be from dream to 127/ shinee. They sound very different even tho they come from same group(dream, 127). Tips to explore 127? They sound very heavy to me but i really want to try because i really like the OSTs released by some members. I want to enjoy their vocals in another genre. So far Lemonade is not bad i think.
A cut from the live with all songs, ISTJ on the official channel, winner's speech.
SM knows the audience. Every new group gets their distinct sound and concept. Dream is the most general public friendly unit, it was always aimed at Korea. Haechan is given high notes from time to time in Dream songs. Other vocalists of the unit are probably not strong enough for it, vocal teaching ppl say none have support and basic techniques. Dream is a dance and make you feel good unit, more of idols in its original definition than singers.
127's A-tracks are mostly swag, "noisy". B-sides are often calmer, there are plenty of gp friendly songs (which I hate, heh). Why don't you simply go in album order? Start from the beginning, pick out the songs you like. There are ballads, rap songs, almost edm even. The track videos from Neozone era can give you a sense of diversty 127 offers.

URGENT – CADMUS HAS STOLEN THE ALIEN REGISTRY
ALL  ALIENS NEED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES
By. Kara Danvers
The NCPD asks the general public for assistance in location these missing aliens and to report any information about these kidnappings to their crime trip hotline.
To assist in their investigation, Supergirl and authorities request witnesses please keep their facts clear and concise, including where, how and what in all crime tip accounts. If the information provided is credible to their search, tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward. Any information that the public can provide will be greatly appreciated.
‘CADMUS, anti-alien immigration and interplanetary xenophobia has fueled paranoia and distrust in our community, Supergirl says ‘their fear – mongering tactics and illegal activity openly defy the basic principles of our American democracy and Constitution and threatens to destroy the very fabric of our society, which not only thrives but flourishes because of its vibrant diversty’

Topic for our discussion:
Why is diversity in schools important?
[Resources: Nahid Raza, Madhumita Jana, Dr. Parvati, Leader Leena Rai Kalra, Anju Datta, Neelofer Abrar Khan, T. Sujatha, Priti Kaushik, Priya Kaushik ]
Diversity in schools refers to the variety of characteristics found in a group, including race, nationality, age, gender, culture, and religion.
There are different types of diversity that can be present in the classroom including ability diversity (differences in students' physical, mental, and learning abilities), age diversity (differences in students' ages), gender diversity (differences in students' gender identity and expression) and more.
Apart from these diversities, there are many more prevailing diversities such as hair style, dress code and uniform in schools. These diversities seem to be dangerous from one perception and very good in a new dimension. Let's explore how good the diversity in schools, colleges....
▪️Nahid Raza:
Yes it is.
Bringing in diversity helps all stakeholders to improve on account of diversified views and values brought in the School. It thrives creativity and innovation. World becomes more beautiful and livable. Diversity accommodates different strata of society. It makes the School inclusive. It develops life skills among children. It makes children future ready. Children feel encouraged and motivated to accept and being accepted. Having known diversity they are conscious enough to understand feeling and values of selves and others. They develop their communication skills. They take initiative to connect with one another.
▪️Dr. Parvati
Broader way of thinking develops. Working in a group, responsibility, respect for all and unity in diversity develops
▪️Anju Datta
Diversity is everywhere, In school it's very natural, but in fact, schools provide them with the same uniform, the same section, the same color code ( according to the house) same school bus ( for transportation), etc. So we can say while the physical appearance of everyone is unique, the economic background is different, the mental ability stands at different levels, and the age group is different( for each class) the gender is different, different cultural backgrounds, different states, different mother tongue, the different profession of parents, etc. But with the help of the same uniform, same classroom furniture, same school bus, same teacher school, same role, and same medium of instruction plays an important role to provide them the roof.
▪️T Sujatha
Diversity in schools promotes the following
1. Inclusivity
2. Tolerance
3. Paradigm shift in perception
4. Acceptance
5. Zero discrimination based on nationality, age, gender, culture & religion
6. Appreciating of other cultures
7. Live & let live philosophy
8. Empathy
9. Humility
10. Open-minded attitude
▪️Neelofer Abrar Khan:
1.Diversty in schools encourage the students of different backgrounds specially to understand that everyone is equal and should be treated with respect irrespective of caste, colour, rich or poor.
2. It also provides students with a rich learning environment where they can gain an understanding of appreciation of different perspectives.
3. We conduct different culture activities of different countries. Students share their views.. Cultural/food /language /festival /importance of places etc.
4. First we start with Our Country India and then different countries. Every month we conduct this activity.
5. It also help the parent to connect with the kids and to learn about different families and culture as their kids discuss with the parent the diversity.
6. Specially we invite the grand parents when we conduct this activity.
7.It is so interesting of interact session of diversities.
8.It also helps in the moral science class to learn the values which will Shape the students into a good citizen.
▪️Madhumita Jana
Diversity in Schools enables everyone at school to learn to first Accept , then Adapt and then to most importantly Adjust in every situation.
Diversity brings in creativity, inquisitiveness and curiosity in students and these in turn makes the brain more active and receptive.
Students who learn about different cultures and other differences  during their school education feel more comfortable and safe with these differences later in life. They become skilled in interacting in a wider range of social groups.
▪️Priya Kaushik
Diversity in school is important because it helps students to learn about different cultures, religions, languages, and perspectives. It also helps them to develop respect, tolerance, and empathy for others who are different from them. Diversity in school can also foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills, as students are exposed to different ways of thinking and doing things.
India is a country with a rich and diverse cultural heritage, and it is home to a variety of people from different religions, ethnicities and backgrounds. Diversity in India is a reflection of the many different groups and cultures that coexist in the country. India’s diversity is not only celebrated but embraced and admired. Diversity in school is important for the development of students as well as for the progress of the country. By promoting inclusive education and diversity in school, we can help our students to become more aware, respectful, compassionate, and responsible citizens of India and the world.
▪️Leena Rai
Diversity in the educational arena is inclusive and to be inclusive but with a thoughtful acceptance by teachers, every kind of staff involved and the management. It is already prevailing and sewn in a wonderful thread of education to a larger extent where the barriers and blocks are sidelined to a greater extent. But is that diversity at every stage appreciated, I may be further probing or thought provoking.
Can you notice the frowning lines on the faces of staff seeing a child from highly marginalised strata or the one with some disability or deficiency, to a certain extent inclusivity is not 100%
The management as is looking to recruit glamorous staff same teachers look for students.
However I won't get diverted out of the topic so coming on to that this diversity in any form is important.
To understand the differences in us
To let children learn for variety of colors
They can develop a deeper insight of cultures
The whole lot of social strata along with their professions are made to make them understand
The experience of gelling comes on its own
The language differences , the food habits and even the staple diets in their tiffins make them to explore
The art of acceptance and exploration becomes a regular feature
The love , care and protection do arise while studying ,playing and learning together.
Yes that kind of diversity is to be garlanded through the code of conduct:
School uniform
The books
The transportation the time table
The classroom
The teacher
The Principal
The driver
The helping hand
The management
The common activities
The common function
The same PTM
Nowadays a great pattern of diversity learning and being with is gaining momentum in schools where CBSE has given a chance to schools to exchange different states culture in the HOL Hub of Learning members.
This same generation we are teaching will be going to intermingle overseas for higher education and there they will find extreme differences so this pattern of collaboration or adopting and adapting is to be made to them to excel and live comfortably though they have already shown the results of positivity.
However we need to give them the right direction to accept the gender differences and in that case too where in certain homes the rules are set apart for female children rather than a male child
▪️Priti Kaushik
The world today has become a small global village. People of different countries interact as a community. Obviously we need to be accomodative and tolerate and respect each other's diversity.
In India, we do not have to educate our students separately for this as they are raised in a country with varied culture and diversity.
The child begins to experience this in school itself. They learn to appreciate each other s culture, stand firm in their belief and faith and yet are tolerant and respectful towards those with different culture. The teachers at school teach them to rise above diversity -war and live together as one nation. This helps them to look beyond their individual self interest and gear up to steer the overall growth of the country. With this attitude, they will begin considering the world as one community and work towards its progress as the Contemporary issues like global warming, epidemics etc. cannot be overcome without the sense of common belongingness.
